Let's Dance-(Every)

Music
Even the white linen suit against her skin was causing her to perspire. What next? Sada extended her elbows out just enough that a little fresh air found its way into her suit jacket. The small amount of relief it offered reminded her she had been sitting there longer than she planned on. She had work to do. The music started up again and it was then that bewitched human dropped her arms back tight to each side. Lovely. It was all sorts of crazy watching her boss towering over the room that was specifically used for these moods of hers. The six foot and and half allurist that was infamously in denial was about to channel Ginger Rogers yet again and there she was sort of afraid to move while she watched it happen. At least she wasn't singing. The woman should never sing.
Why did she have to be the one to do this? Hantu should be strutting his whatever it is he would strut.Of course he was up to his eyeballs in work god knows where. Well, work that Blondie wasn’t responsible for. Did the woman actually ever sleep? There it was. Might as well cancel the rest of her plans for the night. The sheer burgundy material spun around like a whirlwind around her hips. The first signature sweep of that silver strapped dance shoe forward then to the side in a dramatic flair. Sada stared with a flat affect. She was hungry, bored and had to pee and the tootall female wanted to cha-cha.
Where was that creepy Langsuir? The possessor of that hiss in the frostbitten air that she never could see doing this. Petite fingers fluttered slowly in a smooth lift and drop one by one over her lap. Black as night almond eyes followed the one who governed her days and nights. It was far from a bad existence except for this part. This is when it started to get iffy. Dulce’s foot stepped forward and froze on contact with the ground. Her insanely long leg stretched out as did her right hand which rotated at the wrist then pointed to Sada with the palm up and the fingers beckoning her to rise and come one after the other until all folded into her palm.
“No thanks. I stared at your ribs long enough. Last time I …” Sada had some unexpected urge to get her feet on the floor and stand up. “That’s a bit uncalled for.” It was no use. She was already stepping towards the amazon like Martha Graham. “You know how this ends.”
Sada protested despite the dip of her head and the rise of her left foot to quickly kick left then right and drop and drag on the floor behind her. She needed to be creative at getting out of this potential toe crushing dance-a-thon. As the hiss of soles glided across the floor it came to her. Why had she not thought of it sooner.
“Why not invite over the woman you sent red shoes to? Remember the masquerade party? The two of you seemed to have…” Sada was cut off as she was twirled without warning and nearly dropped to the floor before being caught and pinned to her boss's side. “I had some dippin’ dots earlier. I don't think spinning me again is a good idea for the floors.”
“Every.” Dulce finally spoke. Sada was all too familiar with the lack of verbal return from her employer. “Her name is Every. And I think you are right oddly enough. She moves beautifully.”
“Then it is settled.” Sada bowed and stepped back before things advanced to where she was limping. “I will make the arrangements. I can ask her to bring her dancing shoes.”
Doing exactly that found Sada contacting the local boutique to send over a dress in Every’s size to wherever she could be found. It would match the shoes she would bring along. A gift tag included left the following invitation.
Free to sway, tango or to cut up a rug? If so bring those red shoes and yourself in this dress. For fun and for the memories. Waiting. You know who.
Sada returned to find her boss floating across the floor in the longest stride a fox trot had ever seen. Now all that was needed was Every to appear. Sada would nearly hug the woman in gratitude at first sight. She glanced at her watch. Of course she would come. Why wouldn't she?
