What a name for a bar, Gideon thought to himself as he looks at the sign and listens to the sounds of what was going on or around it. He's only been in town a couple nights, but knows he needs to get going and check out the local...night life. Pun intended. He's in town looking for someone specific, but if he runs into others like her? Well, even better. Each and every one of them needs to be wiped off the map, in his mind. But somehow, they keep coming back. It's like warts. Once you get one wart, a couple more come around and then you get a whole ******* cluster of nasty ****. And vampires were the nastiest of shits, in Gideon's mind.
It was unlikely he was going to find the woman he was looking for in this bar, given the information he was given about her. But then again, here he was. Looking for a vampire. Anything could go down. He shrugs his shoulder and rubs at his goatee before stepping inside the loud bar.
He's not wearing anything identifiable. A dark stone wash set of jeans, boots and a dark red t-shirt that covers his upper arms, the couple of tattoos and then of course, covering those on his back and around the rib cage area. Some Metallica song is playing in the background as he moves around the bar, mainly focusing on the dance area of the bar. Supposedly she liked to dance, but what she liked to dance to was his guess. Eventually he hoped he hit the right area, or showed off her picture to just the right person to get a more solid lead than 'She's in Harper Rock and is a vampire.' With a few other small, trivial pieces of information that was good for nothing.
His phone was pulled out of his pocket when Gideon thought he saw someone with her same build and hair coloring, only to be disappointed when he sees the picture he took with his camera phone. A dead end, but he was going to try and make the most of it while he was here. Surely someone in here knew something about vampires, or was a vampire themselves. God, he hoped so.

Smoke curled up wafting past the dark tinted glasses that sat on Monas face. She exhaled and a plume of smoke followed the trail that had come from the cigarette she had just slipped into the not quite empty bottle of beer that sat on the bar. She tapped on the bar to get the bartenders attention. He sauntered over "Give me a Famous Black Grouse " she said sharply. He looked at her like she was a alien "Miss we don't have that "
Mona shook her head "Its scotch from ******* Scotland and they do sell it here I ordered it last week there should be a damn case of it in the back just for me. Now take your *** back there and get me my scotch."
Mona always took her whiskey seriously just as she took this vampire thing seriously.
The bartender just shook his head and headed off to the store room. Mona had arranged for the bar to stock the whiskey the owner had been quite compliant when he found out how much money he would be making on the deal . The dude sitting down the bar was gawking at her she turned and stared him down " What the **** are you looking at you some ******* Fanger looking for a meal or something ? " She glared at him until he felt uncomfortable and slinked off to find a booth .

Gideon had decided to take a seat at the bar, and pass his time with a cheap house beer. He wasn't strapped for cash, but all the beers sort of tasted the same to him. The light ones all tasted the same, the darks all tasted the same and the specials, or house beers tasted the same. He wasn't going to waste his money drinking something named one thing, but tasted like a Miller or a Spotted Cow. And being he wasn't a huge drinker of booze; hard or beer, it definitely would be a waste of not only his money, but of a beer too.
A woman he glanced at as he sat down, and then again as he waited for his ordered beer decided to engage Gideon. If someone could label it that. She thought he was gawking...did she think she was his type? He looked her over again. Maybe she was. He didn't know what his type actually was anymore. So long as it was alive with a pulse and warm blooded, he supposed.
"A fanger?" Gideon said as his beer was brought over, the slight sound of contempt being heard in the harshness of his voice before his head was shook. "**** no. All my teeth are what God gave me; not some ******* mutant genetic splicing of cells or whatever the **** happens when someone becomes a 'fanger.'" He turned away, happy to leave the conversation at that. She now knew she wasn't an option as a meal ticket, and his stance on vampires. The dark haired woman didn't really need to know anything else in his opinion.

Mona cracked a smile she flicked open the cigarette case and gave the dude with the mouth a quick glance in the mirror. Satisfied she approached him " Sorry about that you can never be too careful these days " She held the case out to him "Smoke? I'm Mona... Mona McGee You new around here ?" Yeah she was being a bit nosey if he told her to **** off she would deserve it. She had nothing better to do tonight.

He watches her whip a mirror out and tilt it at an angle so that she could see Gideon's reflection. A nifty trick, one he learned a while back. "Like what you see?" He asked with both arms extended outwards for a second before he snorted softly, then chuckled. His arms dropped as she made her name known, and listened to the rest of what she had to say.
"Not really new. I was here a couple years ago for some business, left and came back. Same type of business, but new job." Gideon says as he talks, just for the sake of talking. A name isn't offered to her, he's not sure if she is or isn't a vampire yet. But he's not about to close the window of opportunity either on any potential lead. "Fangers a real problem in the city?" A couple years ago there had been rumors about them, and Gideon had suspected that they did exist. After all, they had to, didn't they? Otherwise, why would there be sorcerers and paladins and the other low-life **** bags...blood lovers...blood thieves. that's what they were. Gideon looked at them as lower than dirt, lower than just a pure blood human that had nothing special about them at all. To be a blood thief was disgusting in his mind and anyone who was one, should be put down just like the fangers they liked to suck and occasionally **** with too.
"I'm looking for...my cousin." He says, deciding to go that route on the pursuit of Every. "She came here a few years ago, but vanished off the face of the earth. No one's heard anything from her. It's possible she's dead, but her dear ole ma wants the closure. No matter what that might be." And just like that he sits back on the stool and waits to see if Mona takes the bait, or closes him down right off the bat.

Mona took a cigarette for herself lighting it . A halo of smoke rising above her head . Did she like what she saw 'maybe ' It all depended on how much sense this dude had ."Well Mr.... Uhhh whatever the hell your name is people come to this city to get lost and it accommodates them quite well they either end up dead lunch or walking dead that are like ******* cockroaches they just keep multiplying and never dying. Hopefully your cousin hasn't become either. Do you have a picture of this cousin ?" Something seemed off about his story to Mona he was too nonchalant about the missing girl and her mothers plight. Down right cold not a hint of warmth in his voice. Mona had a bit of a mystery here and that was right up her alley.

"Hopefully." Gideon said with a solemn nod, before he flipped over the phone he had set on the bar top and scrolled through the images on his phone. There weren't many, three really. A picture of a house from no where near here, a mailbox that hadn't been seen in Harper Rock either and finally, a picture of his supposed 'cousin.' It was a picture of a picture on his phone, anyone could see that by the outline of the photo against some wooden surface. "It's the last picture her ma had of her." Gideon said as he held the phone up for a better inspection to the woman. "And you can call me Gio." No way in hell was he giving someone his full name, even if it was just a full first name. While she might be entrusting of him, he wasn't of her, or anyone except for the person paying him. And that person wasn't sitting here, or anywhere near here. "So, have you seen her, or seen what happened to her? Her name is Every." He asked as the phone was put down on the counter again, face side down. Even though there was nothing really in there other than those three pictures and a few contacts with random aliases, from 'Michael to Gloria,' he didn't want any numbers, even with a fake alias, being passed around like some drunk college sorority girl looking for a 'great night.' Gideon liked to keep his private matters as private as possible, which was how he managed to get on the radar of the guy who hired him.
"You here with anyone?" Gideon suddenly changed the topic as he looked around the bar, then back at Mona. "Sure ya are. Where's he, or...she at?" While his beliefs were pretty old school, Gideon also had an open mind. Times were changing; from e-books to two hundred dollar pet carriers designed from Italian materials, the world, and the people in it, were as amazing as it was stupid.

Mona glanced at the picture on the phone her not letting her face change . Of course she recognized the picture on the phone and the name he spouted. Apparently the girl wasn't into alias's like most of these Fangers were or the dude had her alias. Every had just paid into Monas little blackmail / charity to keep her name out of the paper , not that she had told them that all of their money was going to the homeless and unfortunate of the city. They were usually victimized by the fanged fuckers the most.
She really didn't have much time to answer before he was asking her if someone was with her "Well not so sure about the girl there are a few around here that look like that . And **** no I'm not with anyone... Nobody likes me in this town and prefer it that way. I'm not exactly what you would call a social butterfly " She shrugged her shoulders " What makes you think this girl wants to be found if shes alive she woulda all ready contacted her folks if she was ?"

Gideon was listening and listening well. Not so much as to what she said, but as to how Mona was saying things. The question about her being with someone brought a strong reply, but the swearing seemed to imply that what she said was true. No one liked her, she probably liked very few people in town, which told Gideon that he was probably wasting his time with this woman. While some people believed something is better than nothing, when it came to finding out information, Gideon didn't believe that. You can't wrap **** up and try and sell it as gold. Well, maybe someone would buy it, but he wasn't that big of an idiot. So getting nothing helpful from Mona meant that he was wasting his time and should move on to different avenues in his mind. If she didn't like anyone, it meant she didn't have friends, and he needed someone with some friends, or a for sure sighting of Every at one point or another.
Gideon nodded his head and then turned his body a little so he faced her at an angle. "Well, since I'm here for her mom, I guess I don't care what she wants. If she wants me to go back to tell my dear aunt that she's not here, that's something she'll have to tell me when I get hold of her. That is, if she's not like those other girls you referenced earlier. Be a shame if she was a 'fanger.'" He said with a shrug of his shoulder. "Funny to me how someone who claims to not be a social butterfly is hanging around in a place meant for socialization. So if you aren't looking to make some conversation, what is it you're looking for, Mona?" His eyes trailed over her arms, shoulders and then down the curves of her mounds before coming back up to look right at her face. Just because he was here on a job, didn't mean he couldn't enjoy the places or people his job took him to.

Mona returned the look over men always leered at women checking out their bodies . Mona was firmly under the impression that women were just as wanton as men were when it came to checking out guys. Over the years they had gotten much bolder at it. There wasn't a shy bone in Mona McGees body " Well Gio I'm not here to **** random guys that happen to look at my boobs. I'm pretty much here for the whiskey. I might as well be on the up and up with you your hot but I don't think that girl is your cousin ... Hell I don't think that girl is related to you at all. I'm not quite sure what you want with her but I might be able to help you find her That is if you tell me what your really wanting her for ? " she paused "Ohh and nice *** "
