Pokémon G...ooh my. [Open]
(For sake of the RP Penny downloaded the app in the not so legal way. It can be done in Canada http://montrealgazette.com/storyline/go ... a-securely )
Penny stood on the sidewalk and stared at the intimidating brick wall. It was covered in what seemed to be decades of graffiti. There were odd writings on it, warning the public about monsters and government conspiracy. To add to an already spooky ambiance, she swore she heard some noises coming from the other side; someone or something was walking around behind it. Little did she know that on the other side of the wall was an area called the Quarantine Zone.
Her eyes moved from the wall to her phone. There it stood - a Poké stop. The only trouble was that she wasn't close enough. She needed to get over the wall.

Re: Pokémon G...ooh my. [Open]
Running her fingers through her windblown hair, the petite redhead gave the building in front of her a wary look. Hadn’t she been here before? Surely she hadn’t walked in yet another circle. With a sound of annoyance, she hoisted her papers into one arm while the other quickly dropped to her side, fingers digging through the overflowing Prada bag for her cellphone. She had done her best to not have to use it, but as the night grew, so did her anxiety. Logically, she knew she could handle just about anything that came her way - but there were those few creatures that still left her frightened and feeling uneasy as they lurked in the shadows.
With her head down, eyes focused on her search, she nearly ran right into the only other lone figure in the street. Coming to a quick stop, she jerked her gaze from her fruitless search - to the woman that stood, staring blankly at the wall in front of her. Instantly, she knew her for what she was - human, and about to make a horrible, horrible mistake. “I wouldn’t go in there if I were you,” she said, her voice casual as she gave her a killer smile. If there was one thing that Caligrace was - it was friendly and warm, like the sun on a summer morning.
Keeping up with appearances - and by all appearance, she was human - she leaned forward, as if to whisper some daring, classified secret to the stranger. “Haven’t you heard? It’s haunted!” Offering a roll of her eyes for effect, she stood back and adjusted her burden, the paperwork threatening to fall from her arms as another soft, warm gust of wind blew her tangled red hair about her face. She should walk away - but something told her that if she did, the woman would find a way right over that wall and into a place she didn’t belong.
At least, alone.

Re: Pokémon G...ooh my. [Open]
The Quarantine Zone had been surprisingly disappointing that night, Lincoln had jumped the gates and crept around the largely abandoned buildings looking at what was left behind. Fighting and running from the rambling, mindless creatures that inhabited the place were a pretty safe way to practice his skills and work on his strength, like a real life version of that Zombie Run app. He had no idea when he decided to take this whole sorcerer thing semi-seriously, but he'd actually been making some effort to get a better grasp on the cool **** he could do and put it to good use. His ability to leap over great distances was what had started his adventures into the QZ, landing in the place by accident and deciding why the hell not?
Since then he'd been practicing his rock climbing and been going to a gym where one of the instructor's did parkour, the pair of them heading out after a session to run the city and see where it took them.
Lincoln hadn't managed to work up much of a sweat, but boredom was winning out and so the tall man slunk back to the wall he'd hoisted himself over in the first place, pausing a decent few metres away so he could get a running jump. Even in his sportier, more casual outfit Lincoln still made the effort to look put together, leaning down quickly to check the laces on his sneakers were tucked away safely, adjusting the seat of his track pants to ensure they didn't bunch in the wrong places when he made his leap. The man took a steadying breath before he took his run up, jumping to plant a foot against the wall and give himself a bit of an extra boost to grab hold of the top. With a strain of defined muscle he hauled himself up and over, dropping down to the street.
Next to two women.
A quick assessment had him viewing one carrying a lot of paperwork and looking mildly flustered, the other watching her phone intently. Oh. He pulled his own out, scrolling through it quickly to bring up an app, turning the screen towards them briefly. "Caught a Koffing, Arbok and a hella lot of Zubats in there... But it's probably not worth scaling walls." He puffed, leaning down to rest his hands on his knees, playing up his exertion.

Re: Pokémon G...ooh my. [Open]
Having been engrossed in her own contemplations, Penny had not even noticed the almost collision with the other woman. It wasn't until the woman's voice pulled her attention from the screen of her phone that she realised she wasn't alone.
"Wait...what..haunted?" Her dark eyes moved to the woman's face.
Penny thought she had heard her say that it was haunted behind the wall, but before she could get a confirmation on that, there were more noises coming from behind the wall. This time it sounded as if someone was scaling it from the other side. Penny's eyes were now round and her eyebrows were raised. She took a couple of steps back away from the wall. The noise stopped and a man jumped from it's top and landed near the two woman.
Penny's heart was racing and she had thought for a second she was going to have a mini stroke, but when she took in this new addition to the scene, she felt her herself relax. Especially when he started talking about the different types of Pokémon . As he did so, her eyes cut back over to the woman that had obviously been ******* with her. At that point, Penny couldn't help but laugh.
"Good one. I almost expected some sort of...Nevermind - just, well played." She laughed again, looking back up at the wall. Already she was trying to work out how she was going to scale it. It shouldn't be too hard, it was tall, but not tall enough to keep her out.

Re: Pokémon G...ooh my. [Open]
Maggie lingered on the other side of the wall inside the quarantine zone, a smartphone held up to her ear in one hand and a sword in the other. Sure, her opaque, unseeing eyes couldn't look at what Pokemon she was catching, but she could hear their cries and that was enough to identify them. She'd modded the program slightly to be compatible with her screen-reading program as well, so that was good.
That human had passed by her a few moments ago. It wasn't strange that she hadn't been noticed -- she made sure to feel the temperture difference and stand in the shadows, even during the night. She couldn't accidentally walk into a bright light and expose her corpse-like visage to the world. That would be unfortunate for the world.
She was waiting for her sire to catch back up with her. Being away from him was making her antsy, sort of like when she left a project unfinished, like repairing a doll or something. Strangely enough, enslaving these cheerful cartoon animals was filling a bit of the void his absence left in her.
"Might as well give the girl a leg up," she called softly, just barely loud enough for those on the other side to hear. "I'm about to put down a lure."

Hoisting her bundle to her other arm, she lifted a brow as the woman glanced up from her phone, only to stare at her with wide eyes. It took all she had not to laugh, despite the weight of the situation at hand. She could allow her to walk into the QZ - or she could try and distract her, pull her to another location. What could be so interesting on that phone?
Using her free hand, she tossed her hair over her shoulder, her lips parting to answer her - only to have her words cut off as a soft thud echoed off the wall. Clutching her papers, she moved a step closer to the woman - only to catch the faint thump of the newcomers heart. Her features instantly shifted, the protective gleam in her golden eyes turning back into one of joy. “I couldn’t resist. You made an easy target,” she replied airily, adding a laugh to show her mirth. The plan to convince her it was haunted was out - especially with the man putting on a show as he had. He looked only slightly flustered, and that was probably due to shock.
After all, who jumped over a wall only to land next to two striking females?
“Wait, what? What in the world is a zoobat?” Her desire to protect the woman forgotten momentarily, she lifted her bag and shoved her papers inside as she finally located her phone. With a tug, she freed it from her purse before swinging it back over her shoulder, her eyes dancing back and forth between the two as she shook her head. Had they both lost their minds? Was there something else in the Quarantine that they needed to fear? The thoughts running rampant in her mind, she nearly missed the soft call of another.
From the opposite side of the wall.
Damn.
“I mean, if you really want to play with the ghosts. I’ve been dying to see if there was any truth to it or not,” she said with another warm, bright smile, “but it seems your gorgeous friend here already caught all the little… Arbkoffings…” .

Re: Pokémon G...ooh my. [Open]
The man scoffed softly, looking confused at the discussion, "Haunted?" He echoed, glancing between the women, considering it for a moment. Lincoln hadn't witnessed any ghosts, but the zombies could definitely be listed as "ghouls" and there was those other creatures that stalked the place. They were far more deadly, especially for one unprepared. It was why he'd tried to sound as if it wasn't worth scaling the wall, without outright announcing the supernatural elements prowling the place. Would anyone even believe it without seeing it?
He was preparing to try and distract her with a suggestion of better places to search, to put on his most amicable smile and reign his natural bratty urges when another voice piped up. Behind him. ****, how he had he missed her? Too determined to get over the wall, lost to the sound of his own heart beating in his chest as he ran through the Zone.
Linc sighed, scrolling through his phone casually. He shared brief the other woman, the one it seemed was trying to be sensible about going into a place you could only get to by climbing up walls or travelling through sewers and strange portals. "A Zubat is a pokemon, it's a new app based on an old game and it's capturing all the kids attention." He informed her, dropping a casual wink. "...And thanks." He replied to the offhand gorgeous comment she'd made. The man dropped his phone into his pocket, freeing them up only to hook his thumbs into the large open slits of the tank top he wore, revealing his toned sides.
"She's right though, it's probably not worth it, even with a lure. If you want a good hunt, I hear there are some rare and already evolved ones up near Bullwood station plus people are always putting lures on the hospital there so the sick people can "catch 'em all" too. I'm Lincoln, by the way, Lincoln King. If you're seriously insisting on going in there i'll give you a boost, show you how to get over safely. He gave his best grin, though it still held a hint of that cocky smirk, somone all too comfortable in his own skin.

Re: Pokémon G...ooh my. [Open]
The explanation of what a zubat was, hung on the tip of millennial female's tongue. Before she could even utter a syllable, another voice broke the barrier of the wall. It sounded like the words came from a woman on the other side. She called for them to give Penny a boost over and that she was putting down a lure.
This was the very thing that the braided brunette loved the most about the game, the camaraderie between the players. Every one she had ever ran into, were always so helpful with tips and lures.
Penny's dark eyes moved between the two others that occupied the side of the wall where she stood. They definitely didn't lack in the charisma department. She couldn't help but feel an automatic liking for the pair. The way the woman spoke freely with her compliments gave off the vibe of confidence. Penny could never just call someone gorgeous without coming across as creepy. Hell, even the smallest gestures between the two, a wink or a smile, oozed with charm.
The man tipped off the women on a better place to hunt and then introduced himself as Lincoln King. He also offered to help Penny over the wall if she chose to do so. The offer was appreciated and even though she knew she was more than capable of making it over on her own, she kept that fact to herself and almost accepted his offer, only, the mentioning of dropping lures at the hospital was a suggestion that she couldn't decline. Sure he meant it more as a way for her to get more Pokémon, but she intended on adding a few more for the kids. The idea was brilliant and she had wished she had heard of it sooner.
"Hello, Lincoln. I am Penny." Her introduction moved between Lincoln and the other woman. Penny then yelled out so that the person on the other side of the wall could hear her. "Thanks for the offer of the lures, I will probably be back later, but I think I am going to be heading to the Hospital and Bullwood station, first." Her sentence ended with her gaze on Lincoln. "Those are fantastic suggestions."
She turned and gave the woman a quick wink. "I'll leave the ghosts alone, for now. But if any of you would like to catch a Zubat or two, I wouldn't mind the company."

Re: Pokémon G...ooh my. [Open]
She needed to wait for her sire (or look for him was he avoiding her was she being too clingy what if he was off making more childer what if--), but all this talk of the noisy little monsters tempted her. The hospital... it wasn't all that far, was it? It wasn't like she had any way to accurately judge distance unless she walked the whole way. Maybe she could even make friends. Friends were new to her that she'd been remade. The temptation was just too strong to resist.
Her finger hovered over the lure button before she sighed and pocketed the device. The sword she'd kept on hand in case of zombies would be useless and suspicious outside the Quarantine Zone. Maggie stabbed it into the ground to be left there. Perhaps it would even save a life. It wasn't like she wasn't otherwise armed.
Displaying a gross disregard (and perhaps slight ignorance) of the masquerade, the blind girl vaulted over the fence and landed firmly on the sidewalk beyond. She felt the temperature of the air and relaxed somewhat as she'd realized she'd at least landed in a shaded spot. Taking the opportunity, she pulled a wide-brimmed sunhat and a pair of over-sized, high-fashion sunglasses from her bag and put them on. At least her corpse-like flesh wouldn't be immediately visible when covered, no matter how much light she to which she was exposed. Plus, she made sure to wear concealing clothing whenever she went out on the town.
She took out her collapsible red-and-white walking stick and slipped the loop around her wrist. "Bullwood? That's not too far, is it?" she asked.

Re: Pokémon G...ooh my. [Open]
Think this through, Caligrace.
Two humans.
Two vampires.
Only one you know for certain won’t hurt them…
As the thoughts twisted in her mind, she narrowed her amber gaze on the wall. It would only take one second, one exhale of air from their lungs, and they’d be dead. Freyja will kill me if I let that happen. Her panic peaked, she barely heard the whispered words from the man at her side, though his voice seemed to lure her in at last second. Tearing her gaze from the wall was a monumental task, but one she managed to complete - with a smile, no less. “Oh. I was never into that,” she stated, her eyes sparkling in the dim light of the street. “They’re the cute little creatures that look like aliens, right? My best friend loves those.” Her laughter situated to put everyone at ease, she released the death grip on her bag and ran her fingers through her tangled scarlet curls.
“I was just telling Penny here,” she waved a hand after the woman introduced herself, the movement filled with grace and confidence, “about the ghost stories of the Quarantine Zone. People claim to see all sorts of insane, crazy things behind the wall. I’m beginning to wonder if it’s not just a ploy to keep others away from the pokemon.” With a wink given to Lincoln, she realized belatedly that her name was needed. For a moment in time, she thought about lying, but what would be the point? She could give them an alias - they wouldn’t know the difference. Her name wasn’t attached to anything or anyone, other than Freyja. “I’m Caligrace, by the way.”
No sooner has the introduction left her lips, than the air was disturbed. The dark haired woman leaped with agility she shouldn’t possess, her body falling easily to the ground before she straightened up. Narrowing her eyes, she fought the urge to curl her fingers around her throat and shake sense into her, all the while smiling that bright, charming, flirtatious smile that lit her face. “No, it’s not too far. I was heading to the office, but…” Trailing off, she gave the trio a wary glance, though her gaze lingered on the woman and her cane. “I think I want to see what all the hype is about. Think you gorgeous creatures can teach me?”
