Getting pxp at the end of the tutorial

At the end of the tutorial, everyone gets 500 bucks, 3 pxp, and a newbie mask. All characters, no matter what they are, or aren't.

Why do regular humans get these pxp points? I ask because they serve no purpose to humans, regular humans, that I'm aware of. But being a veteran path player, I know that pxp can convert into xp, which is 900 xp, at the 300 each per pxp, which could give my human a level (at the very least). But, I can't access that pxp to exchange for powers, or for xp, because this is what I get:

Humans cannot get powers until they obtain a special class such as Blood Thief, Sorcerer or Paladin, but some unique skills are available to you.

Fair, but what if I wanted to use that pxp for xp? Is that not a choice/option? If not, okay, but can regular unpathed humans not gain pxp that's just hiding there for forever? Or can we exchange that pxp in some other way that I'm not aware of for regular humans?

I think ask yourself what you plan to do with your human? If you're going path it at some point, then hold onto the pop for powers later. If not, throw it at exp. For vampires we access the exchange pxp for exp page through the powers option, is that available to inpatient humans?

I've killed a ton of Pi's pxp on exp.

But i can't throw it at xp, is what I'm saying. Unless, I'm unaware of how to do that for an unpathed human?

Without a URL manip, you can't. You are correct in that there is no way for a human to exchange pxp for exp using the menus on the grid. Creating a url manip is not allowed, pretty sure that counts a as a cheat. But this may be an oversight or a bug or David just didn't consider it needed.

If you are sure you want to do it, you should be able to, imo. It's your pxp.

So perhaps a pm to Mooncalf if he doesn't spot this thread and chime in.

Yeaaaaah, I'm not going to try and do that, or had even thought of that. LOL.
But, Hannah has 6 pxp which is 1800 xp, which is nice for a regular human. That's why I asked how I can get it, or if there was another way that was legal.

You gain the PXP because not all pure humans stay that way. If you path or become a vampire it gives you the necessary PXP to buy powers. In some cases, like the sorcerer you have to spend PXP to gain PXP. Without that bonus, any human who pathed to Sorcerer would be unable to progress in their PXP gain without buying Karma for a PXP orb.

ETA: I spent the PXP on another character, contacted David about it and he didn't have an issue with it. Again, be careful doing that because I did (of course) go sorc with that character and being unable to buy powers, ended up deleting it in favor of a new one.

How about a suggestion requesting the option to sell PXP for experience in one of the drop down menus, so unpathed humans can do it? Seems to me that it's just an oversight. The assumption being having the PXP:EXP exchange code built into the "Power" module seemed a good idea, until this was raised here in this thread, so maybe go to David with the idea that changing it so unpathed humans can exchange PXP for EXP is made accessible since they don't have access to the Power option other characters do?

Seems a reasonable suggestion.

Agree! I'll let you make the suggestion, since you worded it so perfectly, if you want to, that is.
