Blood of the Vampire Preperation

If you're been reading the forums recently, you'll know what this is about, so you can skip to the "first gens" heading. If not, please read on.
I'm going to be creating another game soon, which will use much of the same code as Path of the Vampire, but with some major differences. Most notably, this will be a harsher, PVP and grid-centric world which harkens back to the early days of Path. This new game will not affect Path in any way, Path will still have PVP in some form, and yes, the new game will still have roleplay for those who want it.
Path of the Vampire has, over the years, become much more roleplay-centric than it originally was, and as such has shifted noticeably towards collaborative and slightly away from mandatory PVP and harsh consequences, all in an effort to make a game that has more of a direction and feels less confusing to newbies as to what exactly they are getting into. As a result of this, grid-centric players have become disillusioned with Path, and many are leaving. We had two choices: let those people leave, or offer them an alternative brand; something they were sure to enjoy. And so it was decided that an offshoot game would be created, named Blood of the Vampire.
In many ways this will be similar to the 'PVP server' option they have on most MMOs. There will be harsh penalties for death, nobody will be 100% safe, and old style skirmishing will return (among other grid-centric fan favourites).
New First Gens
However, in this instance the server will also act as a reboot of the story itself, so characters will NOT be transferable. Because of this, we have to choose 8 new first generation vampire characters who will emerge from the shadow realm after centuries of sleep. To do this, we have decided on the following:

However, in this instance the server will also act as a reboot of the story itself, so characters will NOT be transferable. Because of this, we have to choose 8 new first generation vampire characters who will emerge from the shadow realm after centuries of sleep. To do this, we have decided on the following:
- First of all, 2 first gen players will be determined by the a skirmish contest, similar to the gauntlet (no entry fee required). For more details, read this thread.
- After the skirmish contest has finished, 2 more first gen players will be chosen from submitted first generation vampire character proposals. For more details, read this thread.
- 2 first gen players will be chosen from players who control the most powerful or influential characters here on Path. This will happen after the first two competitions are finished.
- 2 final first gen players will be chosen based on who is likely to be able to bring in the most new (or old!) players to the game, and keep them here. If you think you fit this bill, please PM me, but I'll have to have seen some evidence of this already happening in Path at some point in the past.
