Hey Kiddo,OOC: The player behind Lorde is allowed to reply to these letters if they so desire.
I meant to tell you last night, but didn't know how to say it face to face. I'm going to Cali for a while. I can't say for how long, or even tell you when I'll be back. I don't know when, or if I'll ever be back. I've got a lot of things going on there and my attention has been split in two a lot. Which is the reason for my prolonged silence.
It's nothing you've done or not done. So don't be pissed and do something stupid. You're smarter than that. You're the best damn kiddo any sire can ask for. You're always welcome in Cali, and I hope you take up the offer. It's genuine and just for you. We've been on this journey longer than most and you'll always have a special place by my side, kiddo.
While things between us haven't changed in, well, damn. Almost four years now, there are some things, things from before I met you, before I met Keara or anyone else. Things that have kept me tied to California and things that keep me going back there. I'd love to tell you...maybe when you come to Cali some night. Something like this isn't meant to be written in a letter for just anyone to see. But I'm still the same guy you met a couple years ago. The guy that can't let go of his humanity and the guy that tries to do right, even when the situation is shitty or the stack is decked against me. I'm just trying to do right again.
I'm leaving you in charge at Hokey. I know you'll do right by it and won't take any crap from the ladies there. They'll try and give it to you, but I know you've got a strong backbone and a mean sucker punch to threaten them with. Be safe and smart. Take care of yourself, Kiddo.
