Parents: Many would be surprised to know her father was a Criminal figure of the city. But when she was younger it was well known whom her father was. Her parents had met when her father had ordered her mother from the mail to wed.. Mail Order Bride as a child she remembered him threatening to stamp "return to sender" on her mother and send her back where she came from. Her father was a very controlling man, and Daisey learned at a young age to keep silent and behave. Her fathers friends where all criminals and so her home was full of them. Many of the toys she got as a kid fell off the back of trucks, the barbeques where filled with gun totting gangsters, and the only friend she managed to ever make or keep was the boy next door. Playing make believe as small children, slumber parties in the large tree house, playing with each others toys.
School: was always hard she was small and different from the other kids with her mothers Chinese facial features and build. She was more of a book worm but lucky for her fate would have it her best friend was large and protective. The girl at the age of 7 could hear her father beating her mother which was not un normal to the girl.. But that night was different because the police had come, her father told some story about her mother having fallen down the stairs.. She didn't understand why no one seen her mother sitting on the end of her bed. The police claimed it was trauma from the loss of her mother, but after that night it was more then her mother she would see..
The Mentor: The funeral of her mother was just another reason for her fathers criminal elements to be around and show support. She could not tell which one of them was real or which one was one of the many spirits she seen wandering around the cemetery that day. It was one of her fathers over seas contacts whom came to the funeral whom noticed the girls attention split. He could also see the things Daisey could see, finding potential in the child, he began to train her to harness her gifts at a young age.
Teenager Years: Junior High school is when she first seen Matt's temper, she was so frightened and she couldn't explain it to him. She never wanted him to feel sorry for her, she never told him about the things that went on in her home. She never told him she suspected her father beat her mother to death, or how many times her mother had been beaten. Perhaps what truly frightened her was that out of her entire life Matt was the only person who ever made her feel safe. He alone was the only one she had ever trust, her true north. It did not take her long to realize he was only trying to protect her, or perhaps it was what she convinced herself of. But she never strayed far from him, he didn't mind her weird quirks and she loved every moment spent with him.. High School was harder when it came to reputation many of the teens in her school knew who her father was, they heard there parents talk, and they avoided her. The cruelty extended to whispered taunts of her parents criminal element or her mothers death.. She kept this also to herself, her fears that Matt would be embarrassed of her. He was the best friend she could ask for, he even took her to dances, when no other wanted to be associated with her, in or outside of school.
The Runes she Carved: Matt had come to her for those runes for that power to become that which he had been born to be.. She would have done anything not to be the person to do that to him, but he insisted it be her. She had no right to question his motives after all he put up with her, all the secrets she kept. She had to focus through his outcries of pain as each rune was burned into his flesh and twisted the fae into his soul bit by bit.. A grueling process hat stretched and seemed like eternal torture.. She could smell the burning flesh taste it in her mouth, his screams echo in her worst nightmares to this day.. The fear of that night, the thought of loosing him forever, he was the only good thing she ever had in her entire life, and she brought nothing but pain to him.. He had barely made it through the process, but she would never forgive herself.. The Guilt and nightmares would continue to follow and haunt her to this day.
Never alone forever lonely: Her fathers death was not unexpected, another act of violence, his death met by rival gang members. She had not minded hen the spirit of her dead mother had hung around but having her father lurking after death was more then unsettling. Half way between the living and the dead, her only ray of light in a city of blood and corruption... Matt she knew she didn't deserve his friendship, and his tattoos where a constant reminder of the pain she caused of the time his life hung by a thread, do to her influence. The only nights she managed to get rest is those moments when he was with her, cause those where the times she could wake and see he was okay and not suffering from the wounds she created.
The Spirits of the Dead: Her job as a medium keeps her fed, clothed and armed for her survival. The city holds few allies and her job affords her the freedom to work when the spirits can afford her to.
