The tall, gaunt necromancer slipped quietly through the sewers. His pack was full of the blocks his sire needed, and bowed his back with the weight. Even with the infusion of strength he had received with his turning, a pack filled with lead, copper, and gold was heavy. So far the night had gone well, no alarms had rung, nor guards spotting him. The trek through the sewers had only found one hunter skulking in the shadows. Even though it had managed a small wound to his thigh, he had quickly dispatched it from the mortal realm. He had watched it bleed out in silence. He knew in practice what was needed to sire, but he had no urge. No urge to create. No need for companionship. He had his sire, his gransire, and his sugahplum. He needed no others. He occasionally nodded to the male that was so often in his sire’s company, and there was the odd woman that lived above the earth that made his traps for him, but he was not a social being. Sugahplum in his lair, was the first time he had cohabitated with any, since he was a child.
Sugahplum was different. She was unique. Often he did not understand her passions for the abstract and obscure causes that she latched on to, but he continued to be drawn deeper into her web. He paused in the darkness of the tunnel just outside the building that housed his lair, their lair. Jedediah had often contemplated what it was about her that drew him to her. The most promising working theory that he had been able to come up with had no scientific backing, but by the chronological order of the events that night last summer, it was the only valid hypothesis. Cross contamination. The dirty dishevelled harpy that had shot through the wilds to ravage the screaming, paralyzed treehugger had turned out to be a vampire. Had turned out to be his eventual sire. And the treehugger’s. The she devil had been tearing and feeding at the female that had been pissing her estrus soaked urine throughout his woods, when he discovered that it often takes more than one bullet to down a vampire, even one as heavy as his .45-70.
When he shot the harpy, she had been draining sugahplum. The shot had drawn the attack onto himself. One human stood no chance against a nightmare legend come to life. He had fought. He was not like the cowardly city trash, all pumped up on steroids and ego, but a snivelling ball of tears at the first sign of adversity. Jed had fought with his rifle, then his knives, and finally his own teeth and hands as he tried to stop the demoness of the night that had invaded his wilderness. She had beat him, not easily, but he had stood no chance in the end. He had no idea what had followed that. He knew the process, it was a vampire Valvoline, drain and refill, but when you are drained….there is no way to tell, what is happening, dead is dead. Now though, now he knew the theoretical process. Now he wondered, wondered if when she had attacked him, drained him, and turned him, of somehow, someway, blood from sugahplum, had become mixed with his Sire’s. Somehow had become part of the process, somehow had linked them. Now, he was ensnared. Ensnared worse than any siren’s song, all it had taken was that one lick of her arm. Her taste, her smell, he was now and forever her’s. There would not, could not, be another.
Jedediah shook his head clearing his thoughts, as he slipped in through the concealed entrance. A few short steps and he was in the lobby, then in the elevator heading down beneath the city to his lair. Their lair. The closer he got to their lair, the stronger the feeling got. She was home. His hand rested across the knob, key in the lock, still in the dank outer hall, but he knew, KNEW she was inside. A subtle smile graced his lips, sliding over his features till his whole face lit up as he slipped the locks, and stepped inside. Slowly the necromancer shook his head as he took in the disaster zone that was once his living room. It was obvious that sugahplum’s previous life must have included a live- in maid. Quietly he paced the room sorting and organizing the ingredients she used for her rituals. Since he had brought home an altar of her own, she did spend more time in the safety of her lair, but there was a distinct trade off. Jedediah had always been a minimalist, spartan in his ownership. Everything was orderly maintained, he could navigate his domiciles in the dark unhindered, even as a human. Sugahplum….no, just no.
Moving closer to their bed his eyes took in the figure recklessly sprawled across the sheets as his nostrils inhaled that particular musk that let him know beyond doubt it was his sugahplum laying in the bed, and with a smile he moved closer to the supine form. Leaning down close he brushed aside her hair to nuzzle her neck, and froze. Perched like a snarling gargoyle over the sleeping form, the necromancer valiantly tried to push down the bubbling rage that threaten to erupt in a Vesuvian explosion. There was the cloying scent of a male on her. A strange male.

Delaney was the type of vampire to sleep in well past the setting sun and take her time getting out of bed, even if she was awake. It was no surprised that Jedediah would already have most the things he wanted to do done by the time she would even rouse for the night. But what she didn’t expect was to be jarred awake by Jedediah in the way she had been. Delaney pressed her form down in the mattress beneath her body as she looked up at Jedediah with wide eyes. “Hey handsome, you’re kind of scaring me.”
Laney stretched out from under him, the sheet exposing more of her flesh before Laney slowly sat up, her naked shoulder connecting with his chest. She laughed and wrapped her arms around him, her face burrowing into his neck as she melded against him. “Is this going to be some sort of lesson again? Because if it is, can I have ten minutes to wake up before we do whatever we’re going to do? Unless it involves you getting naked and staying in bed.” Laney laughed again, her arms still tightly around the male, oblivious to his riled up posture.

<Jedediah> Her arms wrapped lovingly around him, but the stone like posture never moved, never changed, not even a shudder. The dark glint of his eyes were locked on hers. “Do. I. Not. Provide?” The words were ripped one by one from deep within his soulless core. “Do. I. Not. Provide?” The second time each word was louder than the one before, starting at a growl, ending at a roar. “You. You stink. Stink of a human male.”
<delaney> Entwined arms dropped from around Jedediah as he looked at her. Anyone with an IQ of over twenty could tell that the look wasn’t the happiest of ones. The raven haired woman didn’t answer him, instead she lifted an arm to her nose and smelled it. “I do not stink.” To an untrained nose, she smelled like her favorite soap and shampoo and nothing more. Laney grabbed the sheet and wrapped it around her, her resolve still high, all things considered. “What are you talking about?” She reached out for his face and stroked it gently. “No one has been here except you and me. And I just woke up. I haven’t even gotten out of bed. I think there’s something wrong with your nose.” Once again her arms went around him as she laughed gently. “And yes, you’re the best boyfriend ever. I love everything you’ve done for me and given me. Now, if you think I stink, I know where there is a shower we can jump into.”
<Jedediah> Jedediah was incredulous. She lay in their bed, in their lair, covered in the stench of a human male….and was suggesting they play in the shower together? Reaching out he scooped her into his arms, lifting her from the bed, than turning to sit with her in his lap. “You have the blood of a human on you, I know none came here. The question is where did you go, why did you go, what is he to you? you have no need to feed, especially upon a male of them. I provide.”
<delaney> “That’s just a little creepy, baby. You can still smell him?” She turned so that she was facing him in his lap, arms around his neck. “He’s not anything to me.” Laney looked him square in the eyes. “I went to the seedier part of town. I wanted to get some diamond teeth for a ritual. I want to make a tome to here. This is my home, not that other place. You know that.” She scooted closer to his chest, so that Laney was tight against him. “I saw him there. He was hurt like a scared little bunny rabbit and so I helped him. It was really sad. All that blood around him. I didn’t even know his name, but I wouldn’t leave someone lying there like that. He looked really pathetic and gross.” She shrugged her shoulders.
“Speaking of providing…” Her fingers landed on Jedediah’s chest and worked their way up to his beard. “I’m feeling a little peckish in a lot of different ways. So can we stop talking about him and focus on us?” She gave a little pout before tugging on his beard a little.
<Jedediah>Her words crashed against him like waves on a rock strewn shore. She had been in the slums. Wandering those gang filled streets. Something about a bleeding human. He had been working with her watching her, she put only the bare minimum into her training. She was constantly distracted, no focus, unless at her altar. It was obvious now. She needed a different style lesson. “Tell me of this human,” he growled softly.
<delaney> “Well, he was a human.” Delaney let go of his beard, sighed and rolled off him and onto their bed. “I told you about him. There’s nothing overly special about him. I just felt bad for him.” She shrugged, grabbed the top sheet and molded into it. “He’s a gun maker or something. Wrong place at the wrong time. Jed, why are we talking about him?” Laney pouted as her head twisted to face in his direction.

--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--
<delaney> “I’d rather talk about anything but him. Or do anything else than talk about him.” She sat up so that her weight was on a shoulder, still facing him. Jedediah couldn’t be jealous, could he? No, Jedediah didn’t do a lot of stuff. Like take a shower with her. Ravish her when he came home, or get jealous.
<Jedediah>Strong hands grabbed at and caught firm female flesh as the telepath attempted to slip away. Rolling her back to his lap, this time ending up face down, her posterior raised towards him as she landed across his lap, Jedediah brought his hand down firmly across one of the firm buttocks poised before him. “It was a wonderful idea you had sugarplum” The hand now came down across the other, leaving faint pink tracings of his fingers across the creamy whiteness of the muscled mounds. “You most assuredly are in need of a lesson” *Crack* The sound of his hand striking her buttock, echoed softly from the lair walls. “Be sure you pay attention so that we do not have to repeat it anytime soon.” One hand held the buxom lass pinned across his thighs as the other rained a steady, calm series of spankings down on her now darkening red cheeks. “First off, the slums are not a good place for you to wander alone, if you need to go there, I will accompany you..” The words were terse, slipped through clenched teeth, but the hand was emotionless, a steady smooth stroke, no evidence of anger in its application. It was simply administering an important lesson.
<delaney> Before Laney knew what was going on, she was face down in his lap getting a spanking. No, correct that getting a lot of spankings. A spanking or two was right up the telepath’s alley of kinkiness, but there was nothing kinky about this. It wasn’t that it necessarily hurt, not more than the brand she wore, or any of the tattoos that covered Delaney’s flesh, it was down right foreign and a little...humiliating? Laney squirmed in his arms, “What the heck, Jedediah?” But didn’t get very far. When it came to who was the strongest of the couple, it was him by a long margin. “You didn’t say I couldn’t go there.” Laney pointed out, no longer squirming in his arms, because in the end, Laney was resigned to the fact that Jedediah was going to do what he wanted to do for whatever reason until he saw fit to no longer do it anymore. “You ever hear the saying you catch more flies with honey than vinegar?” Laney moaned as an arm wrapped around her, the urge to rub her semi-tender butt cheeks the main driving force behind the awkward bending of her arm.
<Jedediah> Pausing for a moment, his hand wove circular caresses over the heated globes beneath it as he spoke. “Yes I have heard the adage of honey and vinegar. I pay attention to the lessons taught me. You however, seem to take nothing serious, highest on that list, your safety.” Lowering his head he continued quietly. “You gave your essence to him. You did not save him, you turned him. Did you teach him to hunt? Tell him what he is now? Explain anything to him? Or did you just bleed your essence into him and leave him to rise a monster. Did you think at all of the consequences? Or were you once again joining with Don Quixote? Jousting with windmills? “
<delaney> “I was being safe,” Laney squeaked out in a retort, but had to second guess even herself. Had she been safe or had she just figured she would be fine? Laney went where Laney wanted to go before being a vampire, why was this any different? “Yes, I turned him. And he knows what he is and he’s doing just fine. He’s not a big talker and doesn’t like the company, but he’s fine. I’m sure he’s right back where I found him at.” Delaney tried to worm her way out of his hold again. “Don-what? People don’t joust anymore. It’s impractical and dangerous.” Laney shook her head, a smile breaking on her features. Who even heard of jousting anymore anyways?

<Jedediah> The necromancer shook his head, “You can not just turn any that you see, it cannot be done on a whim. As well, you can not just leave them, untrained, on their own. It takes respect, discipline, and devotion, to make another from your essence. Nor is it something you do on your own, once you have given yourself into my care.” Shaking his head at her disparaging comment about the spaniard know as The Ingenious Gentleman Don Quixote of La Mancha, Jedediah adjusted and tightened his hold on the squirming woman. “Was there anyone watching your surroundings, as you knelt over that human?” The last word was spat out, the distaste evident in its enunciation. It was obvious from her demeanor that as of yet, even though there was a heat emitting neon glow emanating from the multiple prints of his hand that had blended into palm size suns on the creamy white background of her buttocks, that this lesson had yet to sink in.
“It appears that though this lesson draws to an end, it needs a bit more, for you to remember it well as a consequence for placing yourself needlessly in danger and not considering the ramifications of your actions upon the city, world, and our race in general, before you act..” The caressing hand came to a halt centered over one of the suns. “I cannot always be at your side, watching over your shoulder. It is why we practice with our weapons.” Silently he lowered his head and placed a small kiss in the center of the other sun. “I do not wish to humiliate you, only to teach you, remind you...it is not the same as when you were human. The cops will not help you if you are attacked, they will help your attacker. You are a beautiful woman, the slums are not a place for you alone. If you need things from there, ask, I will go with you, or provide them.” Another pause as he tried to suppress the anger that was once more rising, “I am not jealous, I have what I want, but I am territorial. If you wish a male to live… I would advise keeping a respectful distance from them. Do not come home reeking of them. You are mine.”
<delaney> Delaney sat there, stomach over his knees, listening to everything Jedediah had said and asked. Some of the things he asked or said...Laney didn’t know how to answer them. Because she didn’t know the answer to the questions. Had someone been around them? No? Maybe? Probably. There were a lot of people there that night so it was likely someone had seen something they weren’t supposed to. She heeded his words, mostly the ones that spoke of ramifications in the global aspect and then sighed. Deep down, Jedediah was right. She knew it, but she was so sure...this one would be okay. This one needed her help. It would have been no different if she had come across a poor, defenseless stray that was injured. Minus turning it into a vampire. She would have helped it and tried to save it. It seemed like the same to her. The only way she could save him, we to make him a vampire.
Delaney looked at him from her position and then slowly nodded her head. “I am yours. That will never change.” She said in a very somber tone, that held nothing but certainty and truth behind each word spoken. “Always, baby.” She sighed and then pressed a kiss to his bare leg. While he said he might not be jealous, Delaney believed he was. And she was more than fine with that. If Jedediah was jealous, then that meant she meant something to him. Probably more than anything and that singular thought sent butterflies in her stomach. “I am sorry Jedediah. I will not let it happen again.” She came to rest her head on his leg, to stare up at him as her fingers played with the skin on his outer thigh. “I didn’t know you would care...or it would bother you. I didn’t mean to hurt your feelings, baby.” Delaney cooed up at the male, eyes still on his face, lips once again on his thigh. “Never again.” She confirmed for him, still not removing her eyes off him.
<Jedediah> The necromancer listened as his sugahplum answered and explained. His eyes searching hers, to ascertain if she well and truly meant her words, or if she was just trying to placate…. to shorten her discipline. Sensing the honesty and fervor in her words his hand once more began to move in soothing caresses across the reddened half moons of her buttocks. Heat grew inside him as his blood rushed lower, helped by gravity. A different glint shone in his eye as his breathing hitched at the view of the beauty draped across his lap. His concentration on the original task broken, Jedediah now noticed that the deep scent of musk that was laney, filled the lair. It seemed possible, quite possible, that what started as discipline, at changed somewhere along the line into something more… something….desirable. Inhaling deeply his eyes became hooded as he looked into her eyes, before raising his hand and bringing it down one more time across her exposed buttocks. “I believe you sugahplum...but I am not sure I am done…” The necromancer whispered in a husky voice.
<delaney> The unexpected crack against her butt made the woman’s body spring just a little before she nodded solemnly. “I know baby. I was really, really bad. I will take all of my well deserved and earned punishment.” There was a very subtle smirk in the corners of her eyes and lips before those lips found a new place to press against on the top of his thighs. Did she like being spanked? Maybe...just a smidge. Laney appreciated a forceful hand in a lot of different ways.

<Jedediah> A smile creased the corner of his lips as he saw the telepaths reaction, and listened to her confession, “You were very naughty” he replied as once more his hand fell. The sound was different though more muted, as if they weren't quite as hard as the first had been and the spacing...these seemed to take a little bit longer as the necromancer’s hand included a soothing caress each time his hand rained town on the now bright red buttocks of his woman. The smile widened as he stopped, and scooped the lithe, yet curvaceous woman into his arms twisting her upright to sit upon his lap his growing tumescence nestled at the junction of her thighs. “Please. Please delaney do not scare me like that again. Leaning forward his lips grazed hers gently, then leaning back, his countenance darkened, “And never, ever, come home to me...smelling of another male….” All pretence gone now, Jedediah struck like an attacking viper has his mouth covered hers pouring every ounce of possession into the kiss that he could force into it.
<delaney> Was it the smack to her butt, or the caress to her butt that had Laney wanting to jump Jedediah’s bones so badly? If his hand, or fingers landed in just the right spot, he would be able to feel how much she wanted him with each touch to her cheeks. It seemed he wanted her just as bad in that moment, feeling his truth that came so close to making them both so very happy. “I wasn’t thinking, baby.” Laney assured him as she took these words more seriously than the last. That he had been scared for her. That was the truth behind the course of actions; how valuable she was to him.
Her arms looped around his neck, both arm resting against the other in opposite directions as he kept talking. She heeded his words about other men. “Baby, relax. I promise you are the only man I want.” Laney once again tried to assure Jedediah before he kissed her lips for a second time tonight. This one caused a different reaction than the last. The last had been gone as quickly as it had came-not that the woman would complain. He did after all initiate the kiss without her saying or suggesting anything about how badly she wanted to boink him. Right in this position too.
Though they had only been together for a few months, Delaney knew she loved Jedediah, and he loved her. It wasn’t like love of today-which was pretty juvenile and short lived. People, in her mind didn’t understand the idea behind love. Friends always said they loved this friend or that friend, even if they became friends five seconds ago. Love seemed to be a spurious claim from those her age. This, to Laney was love at it’s purest form. He showed his concern in a lot of different ways, Jedediah was helping her, or teaching her things, supporting her, and they both respected the other (even if they didn’t agree or understand) on top of the fact that they were both growing together as individuals and as a couple.
“Should I go shower now?” Delaney asked, knowing she probably smelled like the male she saved-she sired. “Would that please you, baby?” Delaney only ever wanted Jedediah happy-she believed he deserved it. Especially since that was all he wanted to do-to make her happy. “Tell me what you want, baby.” Pleaded Delaney as she stared into his gorgeous eyes, as she inched against his chest, coming dangerously close to exposing how badly she needed him that moment as his girth came close to breaking through her private barriers.
<Jedediah> The necromancers fingers danced lightly over his sugaplum following the voluptuous curves, caressing here, pinching there, gliding smoothly before suddenly tweaking and pulling at the pebbles before him. Tentatively he leaned in for a kiss as he slowly increased the pressure, ALthough he was preoccupied, Jedediah heard every word she spoke as he concentrated on her unneeded breathing, his smile increasing with each sharp inhale. As his mouth claimed hers in a battle of dueling tongues, the necromancer hands found and cupped delaney’s well warmed buttocks, drawing her closer to him. A moan slipped from his lips to hers as her core slid over him leaving a trail of nectar as he drew her tight.
Launching abruptly to his feet Jedediah easily flipped the telepath over his shoulder spinning her in a circle her hair swirling out in a cloud about her, “Yes… a shower will help.” Setting her on her feet once more, Jedediah pointed her towards the shower. “When you finish, I will feed you.”
<delaney> They were so close to one another that Delaney could almost feel-or at least imagine, or recall what it was like when they were interconnected in the throngs of lust and passion. Though Jedediah was calm, cool and collected, usually, Delaney knew the male to be an excellent, and erotic lover. Or maybe it was mostly in her head-regardless if it was imagined or absolutely true, she always walked away satisfied, achy, utterly happy, with not a single complaint.
Whenever he delivered. “Buuut!” Delaney said after she was over his shoulder and on the ground. What she had planned wasn't this-or anything close to this especially since he said when she was done. “Baby, you know we have to shower together. Soon all our water resources will depleted significantly and there will be no homes for any fish. So we have to do our part.” Delaney circled around Jedediah, stepped on her tip toes while she wrapped her arms around his frame. “We can be quick.” There was a wink from the full figured woman before she spun on her heels and waltzed over to the bathroom. “Think of the fish that feed your dinner.” Laney's nose wrinkled while she was turned away from Jedediah, thinking of how some vampires fed from the things they used to be. Cannibalism or something at its finest. Regardless, if it weren't for her Jedediah, Laney would be royally screwed.
