Walls.

A great runner, wasn't he? He was almost able to descieve her senses... The ones that remained intact, at least.
Almost.

The darkness within her brain and view did not allow her to see where she was heading, but with a little help of running footsteps and a good clicking of the tongue kept the fledgling to follow. A natural habbit, one she had grew even before her turning night. So thirsty.. The throat was getting so dry she could hardly click that long tongue of hers, caused by the wind that she faced while chasing him. It was this finish blow or she would lose her chances. The place remained unknown, nude hands and feet on the floor of the Catacombs of the city which were not in sight, since they hid down bellow. They must have slipped and fell within a hole or something, she did not remember; All she kept in her mind for the moment was her thrist and will to hunt this small thing down.

It was small few minutes ago, now as she was catching up, the foot-steps were heavier than they once were. However, the fledgling payed no mind, fear was not a word she knew in her dictionairy.

But wall(s) were.

JUST as she was about to leap and catch herself upon his back or collar, she painfully tried to click the muscle inbetween her jaws one last time but failed, losing 'sight' of the wall that was right in front of her. The heavy steps were going thinner within her ears, letting a high pitched sound of fail cover them once she hit her nose against that brick wall. It was all going black... To say the least. Lifeless hues blinked again and again and her face itched with pain, body falling down along with the long wave of white colored hair behind the skull that had just crashed. Anyone who had witnessed a fly trying to get out of a damn window before in their lives, would remember something by now. "Curses," hissed the thing and let itself fall down on the almost dry floor, closing useless eyes as she felt something run and drip down her face.

Tongue helplessly tried to lash out and attempt to have a lick, a taste of what that was. Blood. She had wished it was her prey's, but unfortunately it was her own.
She tried to get up, really did. But all she could do for now was lay there with cheek on the floor and her skull inches away from the wall she had seconds ago crashed onto, body twitching. She wasn't dead, how could she be? She had taken many other hits in the past by running into random things, and this was by far the weakest. Pale fingers touched at the dust under her, feeling and even tasting it for a moment to wash away the disgusting taste of her own blood. She could wait and heal, who would come here anyway? Only a fool, or maybe her next prey.

Another day, another search, another part. It was how most of his days went anymore as he was normally so occupied between forging and find the parts needed to do so that he walked through the Catacombs, picking up some old parts that would be practically useless, while some were almost shiny and new, apparently broken in some unfortunate accident or maybe had just been kept better by whatever it was that seemed to bring the endless supply of pieces of weapons here. He didn't question such things, it simply wasn't worth it to do so in this place in the city. So he continued on in his slow circuitous route that he had mapped out in his brain months ago and gotten so used to. There were no twists and turns here to confuse him any longer that might slow his hunt for more materials.

It was almost in a daze that he heard the running steps of someone else down there. It wasn't completely unexpected or really all that rare but he knew how it worked in this place, if he found something he had to claim it, if he didn't others might do so and should things get real nasty there might even be spilled blood. Preferably theirs and not his though in this place one could never guarantee that. The steps though crossed his path, becoming louder for a moment before starting to fade again. whoever it was though wouldn't get far, Edenor knew where he was and the way the steps echoed they just ran into one of the dead ends of the place. He actually had to go that was anyways and so followed behind at a leisurely pace before frowning suddenly as a more solid thumping sound came from the tunnel he was crossing.

The smell of blood was faint and followed not long after and he inhaled slowly, letting the scents of the mostly deserted place fill his nose and lungs before letting it all out. Vampire blood. That made things far more interesting to him than parts were at the moment and he turned to follow the smell of blood. It didn't take long, a minute or so tops before he found the prone figure on the ground in front of him. Her body seemed to be twitching, and there was a bit of lost blood from her face but he couldn't see any wounds from his casual inspection. He shook his head, his lips curling in a smirk as he said softly down to the woman wondering just how hurt she could possibly be, "You know, usually not the best of places to take a nap. There's things down here that might come for a bite of you if you stay like that."

He wasn't even sure she was awake when he spoke but figured it was better to speak than to risk getting closer. It wasn't that he was worried about a fight, but why let himself fall completely into a possible trap by another of his kind when he could very easily step away and disappear into the shadows of this place and not be found unless he was willing to be? This way was easier and safer and since he was down here for parts it made the most sense. Did he have his gun? Of course. A blade? Several. The fighting if it happened though would not likely leave him unscathed though and he rather liked to be whole. He figured if she were passed out he would simply leave, if she were faking he would flee and exact revenge on her later under circumstances of his own choosing. If she were hurt though? Well then he would have to see what benefit it might bring him to help her.

The fact that this human had managed to escape from her grasp made her fingers twitch and dig within the ground, knuckles rising while she tried to push herself up. Every failure of hunt made her less and less willing to even try, but her needs could overcome her stupidity anytime, sending her out there in the cold world. Speaking of world, it seemed the mouse and cat weren't the only ones in this establishment, of some sort... But then again, what building had dust on the ground and rounded walls? A small sniff made her perk her skull upwards and try to find her way out another way, only to find herself against that wall again. On knees she placed her palms as if they were paws upon the stone thing and begun to try and dig their way out, the sudden sound behind her making her jump, quickly turning her skull and body to face the man and his steps. They were approaching slowly... Was she in trouble?

Retreating lips revealed perly white canines as her cheeks rose, eyes angrily and lifelessly pointing at the man's chest since they had no proper sight. After a second or two, jaws parted and a loud hiss escaped, with any remaining saliva escaping her mouth in an aggresive way. Cautiously and almost silently (within her own ears at least) lifted her figure with back against the wall, hands stroking the rough wall behind her as she did, and after finishing his sentence, she had one of her own with lips pushed back where they belonged, to be able to make a proper sentence.
"Things like you?!"
The sentence held anger and passionate rage that was building each second he remained before her; Whom obviously had approached of not to make allies.

His words spoke of arrogance and sarcasm which made her old English rise at the back of her head, which weren't as good sounding as she thought they were. "You wish to battle too, creature?!" Behind her insanity was hiding formality that obviously wasn't needed by the sound of it. White clothed femine figure slowly leant back down, but not out of respect. Nails were back on the ground and her legs were as bent as they previously were in her hunt. If he made a move she would be able to sense and hear it since her eye sight had decieved her long time ago, making it impossible to have this scene imagined within her mind. A fledgling with a backstory of serpent history, foolish one as she was, she would die here and now if she so desired it! But even one with an insane mind as her would know that it would be impossible to fight at this weak state of hunger and pain. The blood had already stopped running down her pale facials but the stain of the red river was still upon her skin, adding a dramatic look on the white scenery. Dressed in all whites, even her hues that refused to blink as often as a proper creature's would, this man's reflection upon them even though she had no vision of him.

Mayhaps she could click her tongue a few more times and hear it bounce upon the rounded walls she could flee from if he so desired to 'take a bite on her', even if she promised a good fight. Her title, her dream, it would be all gone if she did not play her cards correctly. He reeked of power and knowledge far above her own, while she herself reeked of desperation for a small amount of blood!

Her reaction towards him brought a cold laugh from him as she bared her fangs and let out a near feral hiss at him. He almost pulled out his gun to drop her then and there as he thought that perhaps she was simply a feral vampire and that would be the easiest way to deal with her. She spoke then which stayed his hand, her words seemingly filled with hate and anger. He shook his head though and said simply, "No, things worse than me." As she seemed to bring herself into some strange crouched position and spoke of battle he laughed. "Battle? You look hardly in the right frame of mind to be able to fight with me." As the last of the words left his mouth his eyes seemed to darken for a moment before his body seemed to dissipate with the surrounding shadows. He knew he could hold this form for a good long while, however that wasn't why he did it.

As soon as he faded into the shadows he moved, his form sliding past her down the tunnel she had been coming down in what he assumed was pursuit of the other he had heard go down the side tunnel. As soon as he was behind where her crouched figure was he let his power fade, his gun quickly getting pulled out from his shoulder holster and the safety clicked off as he pointed it at her. His voice was calm and quiet, there was no need for him to be angry with her or really feel anything at all for her though the words came out as simple fact, "You want a fight I'll drop you where you are. You want that human? He's down the tunnel on the right when you come to the crossing. It's a dead end." He didn't move, his finger already halfway pressing down on the trigger, all it would take was one wrong move and it would be pulled the rest of the way.

As he stood there waiting for her to make her choice he couldn't help finding the whole situation rather amusing. She didn't seem in her right mind , at least he hoped that wasn't her right mind, and though he didn't like to take advantage of people with issues in this case she made the mistake of trying to provoke him. If it weren't for the fact that he was lazy and wanted to find his parts and be able to go home to work at his forge he likely would have jumped at the chance as soon as the words left her mouth. All he could do now was leave the choice to her. Fight or flight. The choice she made was her own after all and he knew what his was and could only let it play out.

If she was angry previously, this time her skull was on fire as her nails were digging themselves within the dust under them, legs ready to pounce. Not only was he stupid, he was also right. Her skull was starting to hurt in a strong headache by each second she was making that angry grimace, nails relaxing. "Haaaaaah!" she whispered with a rasp voice, like an animal with parted jaws. If she had ears they would have fallen back to reveal dangerous thoughts. Fingers stretching out and letting the nails dig once more slightly while she was making her choice. She did NOT need him to remind her her state for she knew!

Suddenly she could no longer have a smell of him and her lips connected again in a tight line, hiding teeth. Eyes even if pointlessly open they moved left and right and tried to focus on anywhere she could, her nose on the tracking duty once more. She even took a few steps forward on all fours to point her head high and try to locate his exact position with the help of her twitching nostrils. The thing was surprised to find that after a brief movement he was right behind her, where she had the biggest issue. The reason why; She is always so focused on her front she hardly notices her rear and what's behind it, only when the safety of the gun clicked did she notice and turned in the same crouched position. Lips parted slightly and she whipped her tongue inside her mouth, creating a soft clicking sound that echoed around them and gave information of their positions within her mind. A soft wave of brightness inside her head, that bounced on objects and depending how fast the noise bounced off, the target was close.

With a small jump and a groan of anger, she retreated backwards as much as she wanted, leaving some distance between the two... And the gun. Even one as she -'not in the right mind'- knew that cowards were the ones who used weapons against melee fighters. They thought their lives was easy and with just a little shot they could get everything. When silence was in the little tunnel they were standing in, Misstra's lips retreated back once more but this time more... Slowly.
The corners of her mouth were tugging themselves upwards and a cold raspy laugh escaped from deep within her dry throat. Swallowing saliva, the laughter continued on and on for more than seconds, eyes reflecting the creature holding his toy, tears threatening to leave.
Assuring him there was no danger, her hands lifted first off the ground and she showed him her dirty palms. Then with an assist of her short legs she begun to rise up and attempt to do something she hasn't done for over a week; Stand up straight. "Misstra will leave, now." This whisper, audible enough for the two. Her figure was twitching and her legs could hardly stay still, but her facials were as humorous as his weapon. "But Misstra..." perked brow, one hand -be it right- fell forward with palm still facing him, all fingers falling down to press long black nails against her palm's skin except one; The pointer. "NEVER forgets." Her final whisper and she parted jaws for one final time to reveal a pink tongue, her upcoming laugh reminding that of serpents. "Heeee hee heee"

She made sure he had no intention on striking and fell slowly on the ground once more with her laughter dying, palms felt the ground and she took a small sniff. One step back, two, and then she would turn her back on him to start her run back where she came from, her human no longer in her interest...

His finger never once eased off the trigger and he kept the gun pointed straight towards her but actually down at the ground a bit, if she lunged forward his aim would be off otherwise and if he had to squeeze the trigger he'd let her line the shot up for him. She didn't though, scrambling around like some demonic crab thing on the ground. If he didn't know that kinds of things that lived in this city he might even find it comical but after living her the last few months he wouldn't dare underestimate what something like her might do. She didn't attack though and so he waited. Her words came out so softly he almost missed them but hearing the threat in them he began laughing.

His words were cold then as he growled at her retreating form, "Ah is that so Misstra and you remember? Well then, when the day comes that you decide to remember this meeting remember this. You come to harm me and I will kill you, rend your body apart, scatter it through the city and wait for the sun to rise to claim you." It was a simple fact, he did not mind letting the other person leave, or even that there was a threat no matter how it was said. He would not however let them think him an easy mark and would actually be far more ruthless than if someone he happened across started a fight. This woman though had to leave a threat, he would remember the name and the face and should he see them again any wrong move would likely lead to him immediately executing them as fast as he could. There was no room after such a thing for niceties.

He watched silently for several minutes after the woman disappeared, he knew she wouldn't likely be back, not with the way her personality seemed to be. Animals knew when to be cautious around predators, especially of their own kind. It was only after she had been gone for nearly a quarter of an hour that his arm finally lowered and he holstered the gun with a soft click from the safety. It was then a thought flickered across his mind. A human in this place? It wasn't that he was starving but he had yet to feed this day. He would follow and see if the human was still around, if she didn't hunt him down already. He moved back towards the tunnel he had heard the person he had heard before, slow deep breaths he didn't really need as he waited to see if the scent of blood would reach him to let him know not to bother on his way deeper down that path.
