Waking up (open)

The blaring alarm overhead sent a shiver of pain through his head. He sits bolt upright holding his skull and runs to the first hidden sewer chamber he could find. He collapses back against the wall thankful it was at least dry. Michael grimaces looking over his clothing. Moss had started growing on his shirt. The pain in his head bolted back to life as he tries to sit up. All he remembered was running from the approaching light and taking refuge in this...well...crap hole. He pulls out his cellphone. Dead.
He chuckles to himself.
"Why show up to the estate looking like this anyway? ."
And besides, the pain in his head was dwarfed by the churning hunger in his gut. He spots a rat, his face grimaces.
Well when you must...
After going through a myriad of sewer life he finally started feeling up to the journey home..and a shower. He wondered if anyone had even missed him during his absence.

He finally stumbles home. Heven had tossed his old clothes after getting some new designer clothes from a bne on the way home. He sits collapses in the corner. It wasn't often that he felt safe and when he did he preferred to just sleep.
A few hours later he wakes up and looks at his new phone. It was time he got back to training. At the moment he felt like more of a burden to his family than anything else

He saunters by his family and sighs, none of them ever seemed to notice he really existed. Strapping on his hand made automatic and sliding his blade into the small compartment of his coat he starts rifling around in his coat pockets. he was dangerously low on ammo. at least all the source code he had sold netted him enough to keep him in bullets. He decides to backwards dive into the nearest Fade Portal.
Luckily there was a store a mere few blocks away. not really a reason to use his car but hey...if you have it right?
he parks behind the local museum and pulls out his map trying to gently wipe away the blood smudge over the gangland slums with a wet thumb. A new map would be in order soon. he peels out of the alley and rockets towards the slums. he slides into a back abandoned parking lot and hops the small unfinished fence into the slums. It had been too long...a nice gangster would quench this stasis he felt.

Emma had skipped on training for the evening. She had taken her dogs out for a long walk, and had just gotten them settled in at home. Or the place she was calling home for now, it just still didn't feel right. Even though she still had her animal companions, it still felt far too lonely. Instead of heading out to train, she had decided upon a walk. Emma headed for the fadeportal in the sanctuary that would take her to Lancaster`s. She didn't linger in the pub, rather would head out to the street, walking in no particular direction.
That's when she caught sight of the dog. From a distance it looked like a black lab, and she could have sworn she had caught the glisten of light from tags on a collar. Later thinking back to this instance, Emma would question the reality of this, that perhaps it had just been a trick of the city to lure her into trouble. She had a soft spot for animals, and could not help but think on what it would be like to lose one of her beloved animal companions.
She didn't hesitate though, and would be off down the dark street after what she thought was a helpless animal. Rounding the corner then, she could no longer see the animal. Emma had not even realised she had wandered into the slums, or what some would consider a bad part of town. She heard something then, footsteps and for some reason they had her feel uncomfortable. Suddenly all thought of saving a lost animal was gone. She only wanted to get back to her apartment, but she honestly had no clue where she was at this point.

by Astrid (DELETED 6933)
With an upward swing of her right arm, she made contact with the drug dealer's nose with the heel of her palm; she could feel the crunch of bone. As the woman fell backwards, Astrid could see streams of blood flowing from each nostril. Her pupils instantly became pinpoints as the all telling metallic smell of blood made its way to her own nose. The tip of her tongue ran across the underside of her front teeth and fangs. Dinner would soon be served, but fun first.
She had taken a short cut through the slums, hoping to save herself some time; she should have known better, with all of the drug dealers and crackheads lurking around that area. Oh well, can't cry over spilled milk, or some **** like that, right? This would just end up becoming a training lesson for her.
The drug dealer ran the back of her hand across her broken nose, smearing the blood along her right cheek. Her eyes were wide with fear, but there was also anger and confusion twisted in the hue of her stare. How could the small redhead have put her on her ***? She should have been an easy target. Her plan was to rob the ***** and then inject her with the poison that she peddled. This was her regular M.O.; she would take down easy prey, give them a taste, leave a calling card and wait for them to come back to her, begging for more.
"Alright *****...no more games." The woman reached into the inside of her jacket and pulled out a 9mm pistol, pointing it at Astrid. "Put your ******* hands up." Her eyes were cast wildly at the red head.
A laugh formed in Astrid's throat and made its way to her lips. She put her hands up about half way, but kept laughing.
"What the **** is so funny?" The woman jumped to her feet, keeping her aim on Astrid.
"You."
The dealer didn't hesitate to prove dominance. The sound of a bullet leaving the chamber of her gun echoed off the empty brick walls of the alleyway, in which they were standing. Astrid's hand moved up to the sting that she felt in the upper part of her left arm. The **** shot her.
Before the woman could blink, the angered vampire was in her face, twisting the hand that held the gun. Cracking sounds and screams quickly began to follow the same path taken by the sound of the gun being fired. The red head slammed the other woman against the wall, stabilizing her. With her knee between her legs, Astrid ripped into the the yielding flesh of the woman's neck. Usually she was much neater when she fed, doing her best to do minimal damage, not wanting to leave behind any trace of her feeding, this time she wanted the victim to feel ever moment and every bit of pain.
Keeping track of the woman's heartbeat, as she swallowed down the crimson offering, she pulled away from the woman before her heart stilled. She moved her knee and watched the dealer drop down to the soiled asphalt in a pitiful heap. Her eyes were still open and she was very aware, only she was weak and unable to move. Astrid smiled and lowered herself so that the woman and her were face to face and smiled.
"Leave no trace behind..." Astrid rummaged through the dealer's jacket and pulled out a handful of pre-filled syringes. One by one, she injected the woman, leaving the empty syringe stuck in her flesh. The woman's eyes glassed over and with in moments she was dead. Astrid pulled out her knife from its hiding place in her boot and ran it across the woman's throat, hiding the bite marks. It would be certain that the cops would believe that a rival dealer was responsible.
