Welcome to Path of the Vampire!

Since Chloe there has made some spectacular banners for you, and I would certainly snatch them up if they were made for me, all that is left to do is introduce you to the world of Roleplay (RP) and Path.

The best thing for you to do is complete the Tutorial Zone on the grid (the game portion of this forum) so you have a working knowledge of how it works and what limitations there are to your character. You might also want to acquaint yourself with the cannon of the game, which you can find via the Wiki. (There is a link for this at the top of the forum page).

There is a set world here and certain guidelines one has to follow, but since the game is set in the “real world” to an extent, you’ll only have to understand what happens once you enter the realm of the supernatural.

The game is set in the current time period, in a fictional city called Harper Rock, which is based in Canada. There’s a lot going on in Harper Rock, so I really do recommend you read the Wiki to learn about what kind of things your character could be aware of. This can help you decide on the backstory of your character, which can help you to complete your Character Sheet.

Your Character Sheet is located on the grid/game. Click the second drop-down menu on the top of the screen and it is the second one on the list. You’ll be able to see what your character’s status is at the moment, their skills and their abilities. If you want to edit your Character Sheet, or rather the part of the page which is left blank beneath your skills and abilities section known as the Character Bio, you can do this from the Settings page.

You can access the Settings page from the drop-down menu as well. Once you’re on that page, select the Character tab. You’ll see a box that you can edit, which will translate into changes on your Character Bio page once you click Submit.

You can use the very basics of HTML here, but if you need help on this, I’m afraid you may need someone of discernable skill. I know very little code and can make pretty tables, which is about it.

There are loads of Open threads available, so you can always start posting. Otherwise, open up your own thread, or contact people that seem interesting and arrange some plots.

Opening this discussion thread was a great step forward.

Path of the Vampire requires some investment on your part, but once you start to develop your character, you can easily get addicted to this place.
