The Nightlife (Avalon)

Kira stared at the blank paper that she should be writing lyrics for a new song on but her mind was completely blank. She put the pen down on the desk and leaned back in her chair. She hadn't felt very creative in awhile and just sitting here trying to force herself to come up with something wasn't helping. She needed to get out. Maybe something would trigger her creative side.

She got up and headed out. She hadn't been to a club in some time and she missed it. She had been so busy with her businesses to get out, which was to keep herself from thinking about the fact that Reggie had disappeared and she had no idea where he was at.

About a block away she could already hear the music and the people. When she entered the place, the familiar feel of the energy of the people surged through her. She had missed this feeling. She slowly made her way through the sea of people, she wasn't sure if she wanted to dance right away or get a drink first. Finding an empty spot at the bar, she decided to get a glass of wine first.

As she sipped the wine, her green eyes looked around the dance floor. She also needed to feed but it was really becoming a problem trying to feed from humans but the price of blood bags had gone up as well. Thank goodness for thralls. Though, there should be someone drunk enough that it would be easier to get alone and feed from. She would worry about that later. She set the empty glass done on the counter and made her way to the dance floor.

Avalon was anything but tame. Her wild heart often called out for more than her life could ever possibly accommodate. Life had been getting dull recently. She had been working as a dancer for this club for a few weeks now and while she enjoyed the people, the energy and the nightlife, she simply wanted more.

The night had been a frenzy, to say the least. She had donned her raunchiest corset and fish nets. Her bright red hair she had left down with a black bandana to keep it from getting in her face. She decided to channel her inner pinup girl and had mirrored her makeup accordingly. Avalon had an edgy, fiery spirit and she enjoyed letting the world see it whenever possible.

The music moved through her, rocking her body to the twists and turns of the house beat. While her tall, outrageous stilettos might have intimidated most women from ever wearing them, Avalon couldn't have been more comfortable. She hardly noticed the crowd anymore. The rhythm was putting in her into a trance-like state and all she wanted to do was immerse herself in the swaying of her hips and the gyrating of her body. But even as she danced, she was beginning to have a new feeling course through her veins. Something dark, something chilling to the core.

Avalon opened her eyes and spotted a woman walking out onto the dance floor. There was something unusual about her, something that captured Avalon's attention and made her wonder why this woman had such an affect on her attention. She tried to tear her gaze away, but she couldn't. Her body kept moving though, even as she stared with fascination at this out of the ordinary female.

As she drew in closer to where Avalon was dancing on her raised platform, she became more aware of herself, more aware of her surroundings. The trance was fading slightly, pulling her into the reality she was in and somehow it made her sad. Those feelings of being a misfit gripped at her. She quickly shook them away, trying to get herself back to being completely enveloped by the music.

Kira let the music take control and her body moved accordingly. Ideas for her place came to her mind, this was exactly what she needed. She had her eyes closed but when she felt someone touch her, her eyes opened. It wasn’t a oops touch that comes from too many people dancing in close quarters. She looked to her side at the man who dared to put his hands on her hips. She had a dangerous look on her face, her eyes shifted to a cat’s which for the man it seemed like some cool contacts.

She wondered what to do with this one. She felt like breaking his hand but that would be too much, at least in front of people. She did grab his hand and bent it back, enough to make him fall to his knees. She grinned, “I don’t like being touched.” she said simply before letting him go. If she was lucky the ******** would try to make up for looking like less of a man. If he tried anything when she left this place, he would regret it.

He quickly disappeared into the crowd of people and she just simply returned to the music. She was used to the attention, the stares, even before she was a vampire. She was good looking, looked like some damn pop star. Add being an allurist on top of it all, she gained even more attention. At least now she could mess with people's minds, she could tell them to turn away and they would do it.

She knew there was a bit of tension in the air from bringing a man to his knees through pain. She flashed a smile, using her allurist charms to bring a calm to the crowd. Things seemed back to normal.

She glanced at the platform, the red hair caught her attention for a moment. The color reminded her of blood and fire, both of which tended to bring out her violent side. She tried to distracted herself with ideas. What if she did platforms, cages at The Majestic Lounge. Put a couple of Beef Cakes in the cages, might appeal to some of the women who come there. She could come up with a song and dance number for that.

Coming out had helped her after all and it had been a long time since she had been to a club. At least Reggie wasn’t here, he would have done much worse to that man.
