The Never Ending Night [open]

Here she was coming back to Harper Rock again. She had been drawn away time and time again. Maybe she hadn’t found a reason to stay she wasn’t so sure anymore. She knew she needed to be here, needed to do better than she had but somehow she felt as if she had failed. Failed her sire and her the Fforde line. She didn’t know what anyone thought of her anymore. No matter she couldn’t blame anyone for their thoughts and or opinions. She had made her choices and she would have to deal with them. A heavy sigh escaped her. The night wrapped around her and felt suffocating. Even though breathing wasn’t necessary anymore.

Felicity found herself wandering the streets. She didn’t have anywhere in mind. She had just left Wickbridge station and was walking. She wondered if she would still be welcome back at home. She wondered what was left if there was anything left for her. She didn’t know. She had spent more time gone then she had spent within the city. So she walked with her thoughts as she watched the people passing her by.

Before becoming what she was now, life seemed easier, it seemed to just happen. Now things were difficult. She had to act human, she had to appear normal and on the inside she knew she wasn’t she knew her life would never be the same. She couldn’t return home, she couldn’t go back to work. She had this life now and didn’t know what to do with it. How could she fix something she felt that she had broken horribly? She shook her head at herself, scolding herself. There was no reason for a pity party. She needed to try and fix things if she could. Taking a deep breath she hoped that she would be able to fix this life of hers.

Niklaus had left his crypt in search of some entertainment of some sort, he initially figured he would visit the Metro. It had been a while since he was last there and the club was always packed, after all. As always, he chose to walk to his destination. Nights were meant to be enough, not rushed along, right? Mentally checking things off his to-do list when he caught sight of the blonde and stopped in mid-track. He hadn't seen Felicity in a very long time, but he did remember how they met. It was right on the street, just like that. A guy had bumped into her and he was right behind the woman and decided to casually say hello and ask for her name.

The Killer resumed his walk, increasing his pace even, just so he could intercept her. Should he just follow her around just for the heck of it? He might have been that bored but that would probably end up freaking her out if she caught him tailing her. Niklaus chose the logical thing to do; walking up to the female and tapping her on the shoulder all casual-like. "Well, well. We need to stop meeting like this", he added with a grin when she turned back towards him. Hopefully she would have remembered that they met in a likewise fashion, else poor Felicity would be confused as hell already.

"It's been a while, Felicity. Were you out of the city or something?", he inquired curiously. The woman seemed to have been lost in her thoughts before he made his way to her, maybe something was on her mind but he decided to invite her anyway. "I was on my way to the Metronome to hang out. Would you like to join me? Only if you don't have anything more important to do, of course."

Initially she was caught off guard with the tap on her shoulder. Slightly startled as she turned around. Seeing a familiar face though a warm smile settled on her lips. ”Hello Niklaus, we do have to stop meeting this way.” She chuckled lightly. Nodding to him as he spoke. She didn’t expect to run into anyone tonight and she knew she should have gone to her sire, to let him know she was back but she had texted him and she would see him soon she would make sure to see Jesse soon she owed him that much.

”I was away for some time.” She nodded to him letting him know that he had not been wrong. As he asked her to join him at the Metronome she furrowed her brows. She didn’t even know what that was. Due to a lack of being in the city though that did not surprise her at all. ”I can join you for a bit, but what is the Metronome?” She asked him that warm smile of hers always in place. Even if she had horrid thoughts she would never allow it to show. She didn’t wish to bring others down though she knew she had some explaining to do to her sire, and she would. At least she would do her best to explain herself. She felt as if she should. However right now she was curious as to what the Metronome was.

The male nodded in the general direction of the club, "It's a club, owned by Cristiana. I'm not sure if you know her but the music is good and it's normally a good place to relax or mingle." Offering her his arm to escort her to the Metronome. "Was your trip out of the city interesting?" he inquired, he wasn't really one to be nosy but his curiosity might have been piqued, just a little. Based on experience, he knew most people left the city only to never come back, or instead they took some time off because Harper Rock could indeed prove to turn into quite the headache.

Their trip, even though they were walking wouldn't be that long - the Metro's sign soon coming into view as he playfully nudged her in the side, "You really need to get out more, Felicity. Exploration is always fun" he added with a coy grin. Guiding the blonde towards the entrance of the crowded club and straight towards the lounge where the music was not that loud - perfect for a chitchat. Gesturing towards a leather sofa to invite her to get comfortable before he would occupy the seat right next to hers. "So you're back for good and here to stay, I hope? I do enjoy randomly running into you on the street."

Felicity took his arm and smiled up to him as he led her to the club. She nodded at his question then. It was alright, I suppose I needed the time away. It happens I guess.” She really didn’t know how to explain it, half of the time she had not been the one in control on her adventure. Now that she was back she was back to explaining things she wasn’t certain how to explain. She hated that she kept getting pulled away, hated that she barely knew anyone here. Now things needed to change. If she wanted to make her living here in Harper Rock be worth it, things had to change.

She laughed at his comment before a soft sigh escaped past her lips. ”I suppose your right, I do need to explore more. I walk a lot, just mainly keep to myself.” Which was true, she didn’t seek for attention or to try and strike up a conversation. She was a simple woman at least what she allowed people to see. Everyone had secrets and she wasn’t exempt from that. As Niklaus led her inside she smiled. It had been too long since she had gone out to just simply enjoy herself. It was either because she needed to think, or she needed to hunt, but never for fun. For her there was usually a reason behind everything she did. Watching him she smiled as she took a seat on the leather sofa. Her eyes flicked up to him when he spoke. ”I am going to try and stay. I want to stay. I enjoy running into you as well.” She smiled to him once more before perking a brow to him. ”Sit with me?”

He sat himself comfortably in the seat next to her, relaxing back before offering a grin. "Are you thirsty? They do serve blood here too", he leaned in to whisper into her ear. Even though the clientele of the Metro was mostly vampiric in nature, a lot of humans also frequented the place. But overall, it was a good place to mingle and relax. Niklaus gestured to one of the servers he knew and ordered two drinks of pure blood, alcohol was out of question and neither of them were allurists or could consume that type of poison, he believed too. "So, how do you like the place? I hope it's not too loud for you", he inquired.

Niklaus had been doing a lot of things ever since he came back from his little trip a while back, he was involved in endeavours and active again. New lineage, back into his old faction, it all helped keep him busy and motivated. Monotony and routine drove him to take a little vacation last time, now this wasn't as likely to happen again. He had things to do in Harper Rock and he was glad for that. "I've sired a little and reconnected with old friends ever since I've been back earlier this year. I'm sure things are going to be looking good for you too, Felicity." The male reached out with a hand to give her cheek a playful pinch. "Just don't let yourself get bored and you'll be fine. I'll help keep you on your toes too if you want", he teased as their drinks were delivered.

Felicity smiled to him when he sat down and asked if she was thirst. In truth she always was, no matter even if she had already fed. For her the hunger, the thirst was never quenched. She nodded to him giving him another warm smile. ”That would be wonderful, thank you.” She sat there with him, the club was loud but she could adjust, she was better at it now then she had been in the beginning. For her it was different than other vampires though, she was incredibly sensitive to noises and the lighting, now she knew if she focused on a specific point though she could handle it, so when he spoke about the place and the noise level she offered and shrug to him. ”I’ll be fine, thank you. The place is lovely. I may just have to come here more often.”

Which was true, Felicity knew the only actual way she would be able to stay in Harper Rock this time would be if she ventured out and actually met people. It wasn’t just going for walks to clear her head, she needed to invest herself in the city. To make roots beyond just the sire line she was in. Sure she cared for them all but she knew she needed more. She was still figuring out what the more was. As he spoke to her about his endeavors she smiled to him and nodded. A part of her wasn’t sure if he was right that it would be good for her, she hoped he was but she honestly didn’t know what the future would hold for her. Perking a brow to his statement she chuckled. ”Oh just how will you keep me on my toes?” There was once a time she never would have asked such a question, but she was learning to come out of her shell now. To explore more, to be more than the quiet and shy woman she had been. As the drinks were delivered she smiled again, moving one so it was in front of Nik and taking one for herself. Raising the glass just slightly she grinned. ”I propose a toast, to new adventures.” To Felicity it seemed fitting. This was a new adventure for her and she intended to make changes, changes as an individual and changes in her personal life as well. The time had come for things to seriously change in the woman’s life and she knew there was no more denying that truth.
