I'm looking for a contest idea that lets bidders win something of their money back too. Ideas?

I've had to adjust the rules a bit to reflect survey monkey changes, please tell me if I've missed something or forgot to add something.

:) Pretty please.

I have a thought on the last spot, how to make it seem 'special' that is. Have the last person who is up for the auction identity kept secret.

You could do this by players pming you if they want that spot rather than them signing up in public. Pick one and then the others could be still 'surprises' but not in the final spotlight. Attach a prize to the last placement and perhaps even the last person to bid on them, just something small?

Having characters that are not known to be going on the block actually turning up there would add a lot of rp potential imo. And Eliminate a lot of the 'ooc preplotting', lol.

Okay, this is a call for any who would like to take the first and last auction spots for this event. Could you please PM me so I can work with people on their thoughts about how their character auction could be different that would make it the reason why a) their auction gets more air time and b) is the point of difference that makes their character auction...

Awesomes.

:D - we have plenty of time, I'm starting early with this part so I can take my time planning the other parts.

Cheers!

Question. Can a minimum bid be set in? Say I want at least x amount of dollars or more personal profit for my services and if that amount is not met, I can bow out. I may be using the wrong term for what I am asking about but I know it can be established in real life auctions.

You are talking about a reserve. =P

Yes, I don't see why there can't be a reserve? It would mean an adjustment to the rules a bit, but what would others think?

Auction time is coming:

Auction cards can be posted as of 11:59pm, 18 September 2015.

So, that starts next week and people can start posting their auction cards up in Lancaster's for the event at the above date.

I'll be reserving the first auction spot for the special beginning (or end) auction, depending on what gets offered up as far as story goes.

Have a quick squidge of the rules, if you've never done this before (I know they're long, but they're just trying to cover the bases, and any questions about functionality can go in this thread and I'll pop in and answer them as soon as I can.)

Just a reminder that the earlier you get your Auction Card up, the sooner people can start bidding on your character :D Which sorta means the more money your character will receive.

So win win!
