First Night.

The cool breeze is what first woke him up. Though strangely the cold wasn't what woke him since he couldnt seem to feel the cold any longer. The sound of the garbage flapping around him in the night wind was the only thing that woke him to the menacing pounding in his head.
All he remembered was the conversation he had with the random stranger he met on his way back to his dead end job.

There was nothing in his life worth sticking around for. He had just been left by his fiance and she had taken everything he had. Even his dog.

Michael slowly stood up closing his hand to test his strength incase he fell. Suprised at the ammount of push he felt against his palm he tests himself by gripping the side of the dumpster. His fingers slowly bend the green slimey metal inward leaving indentations of fingers.
"Well...So much for ...taking care of ...things myself after Angel left" he snickers to himself and shakes the green paint chips off his hand and looks around rubbing his throat. He felt a hard ball forming in his throat, and it wasnt just the sadness from being left alone like that. There was a deep gnawing almost otherworldly thirst growing in him.

"He didn't tell me about this part..."

Cori was returning from a day filled with slaughter in the catacombs. She decided to actually walk the streets as opposed to use her tome to return to the hotel. She walked through the streets of Harper Rock, making her way back to the hotel.

Cori got a feeling, not one that she has yet to experience. It was one of those feelings that you know you should not respond to, but do anyway. As Cori approached the alley, she heard a faint rustling and muttering coming from deep within. Her need to sate her curiosity always gets the best of her. She heads down the alley and sees a shadow in her midst. She reaches behind her back and wraps her fingers around her blade, just in case. “Hello, is anyone there?”

Jumps like a cat back against the end of the alleyway digging his fingers into the crumbling concrete of the building behind him.
Brandishing his Glock panting frantically as he looks at the woman infront of him "D...don't do that! I thought you were a...well.." He scratches his head, and wasn't quite sure what he thought she was. He stands up straight and puts his gun away slicking back his hair "I...Just woke up here...I don't seem to remember all that much..I know i had a home..but ...for some reason it feels utterly lost to me now" he takes a few cautious steps towards the woman.

He sighs holding his aching stomach "I'm hungry...and I'm afraid I'll be sleeping in a random building, or worse." Looking at the manhole cover across the street he shudders. The garbage still stuck to his long leather saddle coat was enough to make his stomach turn. "In short I ...I guess I'd like some help, but I don't know what I need exactly"

Cori saw a man rise to his feet… he uttered something to her, but she had already prepared for a fight, one which she would not lose. He was much larger than her in stature but seemed disoriented… reminiscent of the zombies in the catacombs. With her blade in one hand she reached to the small of her back to grab her firearm. It was then his words became more coherent. He seemed afraid and not at all confident in his surroundings. Without moving any closer Cori said “What is your name?” That usually is a good way to start a normal conversation, not quite sure if coming across a random stranger in an alley would constitute normal. Thing is, Cori did not leave nor did she shoot. She merely stood her ground and waited for the man to reply.

He didnt seem to notice anything odd about her movements. Should he be more trained he would know that she was preparing for a fight but being somewhat innocent to this new world he knew nothing.
Looking down he shakes his head letting sweat fall from his spiked wet hair "I...um...Michael!...Michael Stone. I dont remember what happened to me...I um...I don't think I remember where I live either" he winces holding his stomach and looks aroud him at the towering walls in the alleyway.
"Do you know where this is? Or even a place I could spend the night until I find somewhere to go?" he asks with blood dripping down his fractured skull. He vaguely remembered a fae attacking him but it was all like a horrible feverish dream.

Cori is not one to help a wounded puppy or save a baby bird from being eaten by a cat. But, she kind of feels bad for this man that is standing in front of her. She releases her grip on her firearm and sheaths her blade, for the moment. He surely is no threat to her. Cori walks over to assess his wounds, she reaches out to maneuver his head so she can see the wound in the dim light given off by the streetlights. “It looks as though you have been attacked by something. You are in Harper Rock, currently in an alleyway in the middle of the city. The wounds will heal in a few days, you will be back to normal.” Normal Cori thinks, as normal as can be expected. The poor man has no idea he is a vampire, none at all. “There are some places for you to hideout until your wounds heal. Lancaster’s Bar is a good place and you can always bunk out in the slums.”

As Cori is advising the young vampire, she thinks about what Trahir would say to this all. A new vampire in her midst, one that is actually asking her advice. “I can bring you to either, if you so wish.” She hopes that he would agree with her decision. This newbie cannot be roaming the streets, hungry and lost. He surely would be spotted by humans. “Do you think you can walk?”

He hisses in pain as she looks his head over like a foreign object. Pulling away he cradles the top of his head grumbling.
"Wherever the slums are..I hope they have something to eat because I cant get this horrible emptiness to go away" He had been used to not eating. With a dead end job and high end bills he often lost his food money to his lifestyle. He looks the woman over almost innocently, and didnt seem to notice she ever had her weapons out. Taking her kindness as normality he holds out a hand "My names Michael. Michael stone" he says still cradling his head with the other hand "Could you take me to that bar you mentioned?" the name had already escaped him.

Cori took a step back and assessed the situation. It was a few blocks to Lancaster’s, which is probably the best place to bring this newly turned vampire. Cori extends her hand, “My name is Corentine, welcome to Harper Rock. It is a few blocks to the bar, do you think you can make that trek? They have something to ease that hunger you have inside.” With that being said, Cori zippers up her leather jacket, hopefully doing so wil hide the spatter from her most recent kills. She is always in better attire when she visits Lancaster’s, or when she is working. Tonight is different and what she is wearing will have to do. “Shall we go, Mr. Stone?” Cori outstretches her hand and motions in the direction she wants him to go. She is cognizant of the fact that he is still newly turned, and knows it is best not to have him behind her.

He sighs and walks carefully beside the woman.
For some reason she didn't seem to trust him, kicking a rock out of the way it nearly bolted through an adjacent brick wall.
His breath caught in his throat, but he tries to contain himself and keeps walking.
Hoping she hadn't noticed what just happened he puts his hands in his pockets and looks down as the reality of the situation suddenly hit him.....Did he trust himself?...

He follows the woman into the bar and shakes the rain from his hair in a quick swish before taking a wary seat at a stool.
"You said M....."
He had to cough to be able to speak. his throat felt insanely dry at the moment and he had no explanation for it. he looks at the cautious woman and taps his throat with pleading eyes and coughs. he needed something to drink
