This RP takes place on Wednesday 27th May 2015.
Keara:
Despite the issues ‘the mistake’ had caused between Keara and Enver, neither had hesitated when it became possible for them to bound themselves to one another yet again. It was their third commitment ceremony of sorts, having already undergone a hand fasting ritual, a conventional marriage service and having the eternal bond ritual cast upon them had only strengthened their relationship. If these weren’t enough to show their deep and unyielding devotion to one another, the pair also considered the other to be their soul mate. So Keara soon, though possibly not soon enough, began to wonder why she allowed this childe to threaten her? This childe that Enver had not even chosen. One he had sired by accident. The answer to this was simple; she was the physical embodiment of his broken promise to her. Promises were important to Keara and this was the only one, outside of their vows that she’d ever asked of Enver. To have him break his word had devastated her and even now when she had more claim on him that any person had a right to, even if he claimed her in equal measure, the thought of this childe existing unsettled her. It was time therefore to face this demon and finally draw a line under the whole nasty business, as Keara could ignore her no longer; not without continuing to hurt her husband. It was with this in mind that Keara sent her sister out into the city to track the female down.
Deanna had watched Shya off and on in the first few weeks of her life. Keara had even tapped into her powers and reawaken her ability to read another person’s mind in order to check up on her and her husband; with Enver’s permission of course, as she rarely (if ever) kept secrets from him. In fact this habit had helped the female at one point as Keara had checked up upon her to find she had been caught in the sun for several days in a row. This was something she told Enver, despite the fact she held no love of the woman.
Having returned from their second honeymoon and having found some inner peace, Keara had decided to meet this challenge head on. While her sister searched Shya’s usual haunts, she dressed herself in one of her typical outfits. She had on her favourite heavy, black leather, boots which laced up and were covered in buckles. The high heeled boots stopped just below her knees. Her legs were covered in a pair of sheer stockings that required her to wear a garter belt to keep them up. Her short, black skirt consisted of several layers of silk and lace and was so short that the tops of stockings could be seen when she walked. She had chosen to lace herself into a corset for tonight instead of wearing a tight fitting t-shirt that would allow her husband easier access to her body. The russet coloured corset had black lace trimming and fitted perfectly to her form. Her hair was down, her dreads falling over her shoulders. Her usual jewellery adorned her fingers, wrists, while her neck was free of adornments. With a quick look in the mirror, Keara nodded to herself and headed out. Deanna had found Shya in Newborough; something Keara knew as she had kept in constant contact with her sister as she searched due to her mind speaking ability.
Walking into the abandoned factory north of Newborough station, Keara headed straight for the wayward child. Stopping before her, she made no show of looking her over, in fact her focus appeared to be on the woman’s face.
“Greetings. My name Keara Marshall is. Think I do, that it times is, that you and I talk do.”

Shya:
Shya settled back against the wall of the old factory, her chocolate gaze dropping down to the large duffel bag at her side. Inside were various items she had collected from her rounds about the city’s commercial districts. They ranged from DVD players to simple nuts and bolts. They would come in handy for selling to the merchants, or creating the gadgets for her next break-ins…but most, if not all, would go to Enver. He would make what she needed, while handing on the rest to the lineage he was a part of. And despite her lack of knowledge regarding the lineage, she didn’t mind that her work was spent on them.
Her interaction with Enver in the past month had been limited, at best, but non-existent was perhaps the better word choice. He had a life and a family to care for, that much, she understood. Not every man of the house was so cruel as her own father had been. Still, she found herself craving human company. It didn’t even have to be her sire, anyone was better than nothing.
A soft meow in the corner reminded her of the small white creature poking around. “Cirrus, be careful…” she whispered to the kitten, his head poking out from around a box at the sound of her voice. Really, he was the only company she needed, most days.
Lifting the bag from the floor to her shoulder, she began to walk forward without glancing to make sure the way was clear, and when she did, she came face to face with an unknown female. Her body tensed, her eyes conveying a wary unease. And when her name was offered, Shya knew her unease was warranted. “Marshall…as in, Enver’s wife…” she replied, voice soft, but assuming.

Keara:
Keara nodded; a soft smile on her lips. The female was quick on the uptake, which boded well for her, as a smart woman would be quick to understand her place in the family. Or more importantly, her place in Enver’s life. Despite her newly embraced calm, jealousy still ran rampant within her. It wasn’t something she could control but it was something she was at least aware of.
“Yes. Enver my husband is. And you Shya are?”
It was phrased as a question but it was more of a statement considering Keara knew exactly who she was.
Her hand extended towards the woman, as this was the polite thing to do when introducing one’s self. However she didn’t say anything to accompany the action, such as ‘it’s a pleasure to meet you’ as Keara was unable to lie and she wasn’t entirely sure that it was a pleasure, so much as the arrival of a long awaited nightmare.

Shya:
The appearance of the new face had Cirrus circling her ankles, his fur standing on end as he took his owner's rigid stance as a reason to feel threatened. Her eyes dropped down to him only once with a soothing, "Shh.." before she returned her attention to the woman before her. The offered hand went mostly ignored, but she had the decency to explain why, "I apologize, I'm...not a particularly tactile person. Please, don't take offense. But, yes...I am Shya." Like the other woman, she did not offer a welcome feeling for the introduction, and instead remained still. "Is there something you needed? Or are you just here to get a glance at the outcast of your lineage? Not that I am sure you don't have your reasons for it. I can assure you that I have brought no attention to myself."

Keara:
She nods when the woman says she’s not very tactile and lets her hand drop to her side. The same could be said for Keara but she was able to do what was expected of her if she was prepared for the moment and generally if she was the one initiating it. Though what Shya went on to say confused her a little.
“So tactile myself I am not. Especially with those I am unfamiliar with. So understand that I can. Seen you before I have. Briefly. Though unable I was then for myself to introduce.”
This was no word of a lie, as she had seen her at the ball at Nightmode, though she had been entirely unprepared to see the woman then and her insecurities had been such, that she had become overwhelmed by her emotions and almost unleashed one of her more destructive powers upon the gathering. Not that Keara explained this.
“Need have I, for with you to speak. And wrong you are, attention upon yourself brought you did, the day that sired you were. Know you likely do not, the pain that my husband then did cause. Explain that I can now. If necessary that is. Assuming of course I am that time have you do for talk.”
Keara ignored the kitten, though a small part of Keara’s subconscious toyed with the idea of transforming into her other form and showing it how a feline ought to act when it felt threatened.

Shya:
"I had no intentions of doing much else tonight, so feel free," she explained with a shrug of her shoulders, not bothering to hide her monotone as she usually did. There was no point in acting like something she wasn't in front of this woman. While she was a threat to Shya, she would not allow fear to overcome her. She had spent enough of her life a cowering child. "Though, the next time you wish to speak, it might be easier to plan it beforehand. Less surprise," she voiced with a small nod. She wasn't being condescending or rude, just simply honest about the way the situation had arose.

Keara:
“Oh but planned this was. Think you do that here I without reason would come? Nothing in this place of use to me is. Here I stand, as here you are.”
Keara’s voice showed no emotion. She wasn’t copying Shya’s way of speaking, she was just stating her opinion and her opinion required no emotion. Though truth be told, Keara rarely showed emotion to any outside of her family and while technically that was what Shya was, she was not yet comfortable thinking of the woman as such.
“Wish you do for here to speak? Or would you rather somewhere else go? Mind I do not dank conditions, but everyone like me is not.”
She cast her eyes around the darkened building. It wasn’t as bad as the sewers, catacombs or caves but again, not everyone seemed as at home in those sorts of places as she was. The conversation was such that Keara found herself thinking of how she and Enver met; a memory she quickly had to repress, as she was all too easily distracted by thoughts of her husband.

Shya:
Shya could give Keara credit where it was due for finding her in the midst of the night, when her rounds would be finishing. "You have been following me. If not you, then someone," she commented, looking up at the woman as if daring her to deny the truth of the words. While the rounds were routine, her resting spots were not and the list was always rotated so no one place was hit twice in a week. Only someone versed in her habits would know to come here. Even Enver remained unaware of her haunts, because she always met him elsewhere. "As for speaking....it can be where you feel most comfortable. I'm hardly picky," she continued, kneeling down to grab the small creature that had become her companion. "Does Cirrus bother you? If so, we can make a stop to my apartment..."

Keara:
“Kitten bothers me not,” she said beginning at the end. “Though scent of canines upon me I have. That for it, unsettling might be.”
She hadn’t seen the puppies before leaving that night but her boots were often worn around them so the scent of them likely lingered on the leather. The hardened material even had one or two minute teeth marks in it and while she couldn’t prove it was Gizmo, she suspected as much.
“Need I do not for you to follow. Powers have I for your location to sense. For your memories to see. For you to evaluate. But necessary those are not once your routine known is. Then all need I do is for my sister to ask for you to find. And find you she did.”
Keara looked to Deanna who understood the meaning of the cursory glance and promptly showed herself to the young woman. The wraith’s shape was more of a shadow, one that gave away the early era of her demise by the silhouette she formed. There was no detail about her. Just the form of a shadow that floated a few inches off the floor, the non-existent skirt of her dress hiding her feet. As quickly as she appeared, she disappeared and with another nod from Keara, who could still see her sister, she swiftly left the premises.
“Wish you for to sit or stand? No need have you for over my comfort to worry.”

Shya:
Her head canted at the appearance of the spectral figure that was Keara's sister. It was quite obvious that she came from an era much different from her own, but the pieces came together. Keara had used a means of following her, and that was all she needed to know. There was no traces of annoyance at the invasion of privacy. "From the way you speak, you share the same powers that I do...though, I have only ever had the chance to test them out on a few people," she surmised with a practically invisible smile, even if her eyes lacked the amusement. And instead of answering the question, Shya turned her back on the woman momentarily so that she could drop down against the wall, her duffel dropping to her side with a thud. "On a side note, feel free to take anything..." she gestured to the bag with a small nod. "It will save Enver a trip, and most of this would benefit you and yours, anyway. He only ever makes me what I need and the rest to put to your lineage's use, I assume."

Keara:
“Out of Enver’s mind stay you should,” she said in a tone devoid of emotion.
It was clearly a warning, but a fairly polite one all things considered as she could have easily growled at the end of that or said the words laced with venom.
“And kind it is for to offer. See later we shall.”
Without Enver at her side, Keara was beginning to feel old habits creeping back in. It was likely a reaction to the woman before her to and her need to control herself. She’d wanted to sit opposite Shya, cross legged on the floor but instead she moved to sit a small distance away from her with her back to the wall. One leg stretched out before her, the other bowed at the knee and upright. She wrapped her arms around the raised appendage and rest the side of her head on her knee so that she could observe the unfamiliar female.

Shya:
"You can rest assured that only time I am ever in his mind is when I need him to meet me for drop-offs. I have no other means of contact with him," she replied without a thought to keep the information to herself. She would not, and could not, lie to this woman. It was a dangerous position to take, considering, but she wouldn't change herself . Should Enver have a problem with her actions, then so be it. He wouldn't be the last person, or even the first, she lost, not even close. She never turned her head to watch Keara move, showing her intentions, fully. She posed no threat, and did not carry a single weapon. Keara would find no fight if she chose to attack. "Now, what is it you feel the need to tell me, Keara?" she asked, petting over the white coat of the kitten as he relaxed on her lap

Keara:
Keara couldn’t help the low growl that rumbled in the back of her throat when Shya admitted to speaking into Enver’s mind. While it was a power she used quite frequently herself, especially in raids, it wasn’t one she was fond of other’s using on her husband whether they were male or female.
“Give you his cell number I shall.”
The number she knew by heart even if she didn’t use it herself. It was just another fact about her husband that was filed away as everything he ever said or did was worth remembering as far as she was concerned.
“Here I am not for words to say, so much as words to hear. Judge you I cannot if know you I do not. Exist you should not. Has Enver you this told?”

Shya:
Shya did not react to the growl that the other emitted into the overall silence of the factory, the sound bouncing off the walls. There was no point in telling Keara she did not have a cell phone. She found them a waste, really...especially with the power she was now capable of. So, unphased, she continued to pet at the kitten in her lap. The next words Keara spoke made her body tense, but she did not make a move. "He doesn't have to tell me, Keara. I was meant to die that day in the alley, and it was Enver's fault. So, no. I should not exist" she spoke softly, devoid of any emotional connection to the story, her brown iris flickering over to the woman.

Keara:
“And dead stayed you should have.” She said as if stating a fact or talking about the weather. “Would have too. If Enver his promise to me remembered had. Too kind My Love is.”
She let the words hang in the air for a moment. She wasn’t sure if she wanted the woman to know about the promise Enver had made her or not, at least not what it entailed exactly. It was private. But she had already told her that a promise had been made and since she was the root of the issue, it seemed only fair to explain it in full.
“Explain perhaps I should, that he promised had for no female childe again to take. And promises more than words to me are. Expected him I did not for his word to break. But broke it he did. For you. Want I do for to understand why he that did.”
She knew Enver’s side of it of course but it still didn’t make any sense to her that he would forget his promise and sire Shya, not without good reason anyway. It hurt more in fact to know that he didn’t have a reason. At least not one past the fact that he’d been the one to kill her, as she couldn’t figure out why he cared about that in the first place.

Shya:
The mention of a promise had never been brought up between Enver and Shya, since they did little in terms of talking about anything other than organizing her drop-offs. So, she simply shrugged, finally looking at Keara fully. "I won't apologize for your husband breaking his promise. I didn't ask him to," she stated, standing her ground. If that was what Keara had come here for, then she would leave empty handed. There was nothing for Shya to apologize for, least of all Enver hurting his wife. That wasn't her fault. It was his. "I will, however, offer my apologies that my appearance put you through."

Keara:
“Why think you that he you as a childe did take?”
She hadn’t moved since she placed her head on her knee. She didn’t have to. Even when she growled she didn’t feel the need to straighten herself out or look away or anything. Keara could do that though, sit still for hours on end and not move a muscle. It was learned skill. One from her former life that she’d never forgotten. It was an essential skill for her then. Not so necessary now though, and yet she was completely at ease. Or at least she was as at ease as she could be while seated with a woman that could easily be her husband’s mistress. She wasn’t. Keara knew that. But it was her fear. One that was deeply rooted inside the jealous thoughts that all too often consumed her mind.

Shya:
Shya was relatively silent for a long moment, considering the question at hand. Her fingers skimmed over the white fur of the now sleeping kitten, but that that was the only indication she was actually still paying attention to the environment around her. "Perhaps, he felt bad for me..." she finally offered, her hand stilling on the small creature. "He witnessed my father doing what he does best, and Enver tried to stop it. And in his attempts to save me, he did what he wanted to prevent," and that was the only explanation Shya had to offer. Enver had never explained his reasons, other than his guilt

Keara:
She didn’t mind the silence that passed between them. Some might have seen this as time needed to fabricate an answer but not Keara, even if she didn’t already know that the woman was incapable of lying, she wold have allowed her the time as the question she asked was not straightforward and might require a little thought.
“Yes. To rectify what done was. See that I do. Still. Broken his promise he ought not have. And… knew him before that night you did or did not?”
Enver had told her he’d never met the woman and that she basically meant nothing to him at the time of her turning but Keara didn’t see the harm in checking up on what her husband had told her. While Shya might not lie, Enver certainly was capable of it and she couldn’t help but wonder if perhaps he thought he was protecting her by giving the answer she wanted in place of that of the truth. Not that she knew him to be lying; once again it was her fear that brought about these thoughts and thus this line of questioning.

Shya:
The next question wad much easier to answer, and she wasted no time in providing it, "No, we had never met. I vaguely recall seeing him, once, in a cafe. He made a joke of a woman chasing a thief through the shop. But, we didn't speak," she replied, replaying that night in her mind. It had taken her a solid month to place his face in that scene and realize they had crossed paths once before. To this day, she hadn't mentioned it to Enver. It wasn't important.

Keara:
Nodding she considered the fact that Enver had never mentioned that their paths had crossed before. Though she didn’t consider it long because the truth of the matter was that her husband was somewhat of a celebrity, even if it was a minor one by Hollywood’s standards, and as such he was rather memorable.
“And if asked I did how see you do? What your connection now is? How would you this question respond?”
This was probably the thing Keara wanted to know most. How did Shya see Enver? Was she attracted to him? She doubted that the female would tell her if she was but at least if she asked she could gauge her reaction. Though thus far the childe reminded her much of herself before she met Enver, as she too had seemingly lacked emotions then.

Shya:
It became obvious that the reason Keara was truly here rested in the answer to this question. For the woman's sake, Shya hoped she had the right answer. "I barely have a connection. And his avoidance due to this...promise, can only lead me to assume he is a good man. You must know that better than anyone," she said with a small nod, actually turning to meet the woman's gaze to prove there was no signs of a lie or nervous energy. "I don't hate him for what he did. He saved me that day, even if it came about wrong. I owe him a debt, and I only ask of you...that you let me continue to do so."

Keara:
“Continue for what to do?” she asked, having not really understood what it was the woman wanted to do her for husband. There were many ways in which to pay someone back for having been given this kind of gift and some of those were the ways she would not be comfortable with.

Shya:
"Just that I continue to provide what I can..." she gestured to the duffel bag near her side. It was something little, hardly worth it. But it was something. "I'm not sure what else I can do." She brought up her shoulders in a shrug, vaguely considering her other options. "I don't exist to step on your feet, Keara. There is no part of me that has feelings about this situation, and the people involved."

Keara:
“Stepped on my toes, as say you do, as yet you have not. Exist you should not, that true enough is, but asked Enver for between us to choose I have not. Not that fear I do what choice make he would if asked he was. Bound to me in every way he is. My soulmate he is. Know this to be true I do.”
The female wasn’t anything like she thought she would be. Or rather how she feared. The female was young and yet older than her in human years. She was pretty but then Keara believed most women surpassed her in this area, so she was used to feeling inadequate as far as her looks were concerned. There were some similarities between them what with them both having dark hair and dark eyes, and this was perhaps telling of her husband’s tastes, and probably the reason she’d reacting so strongly to her presence at the ball several month back. And yet despite all of this, she knew Shya could never compete with her as Enver was hers, as she was his. Shya might be linked by blood, by she didn’t have a claim on her husband’s heart.
“Allow I will not for anyone, for between Enver and I to come. Mindful of this you should be. So long as he nothing more than your sire to you is, forgive your existence I may.”
The elder was being oddly open, even for her. She rarely spoke of her jealousy to anyone but Enver himself and she’d never before warned a woman to behave around her husband. This was something she usually allowed her husband to handle himself. Or it was something she handled without him knowing by removing the threat in a more permanent manner. Luckily for Shya, that option had not been open to her what with the female being immortal, as killing an immortal was little more than a futile gesture.

Shya:
Shya had no illusions about who Enver would choose if he came down to such a decision, nor would she have felt betrayed by such a choice. No part of her wanted to put herself on a pedestal in his life, because she wasn't of concern. Not really. She wasn't even family. "You are lucky to have found such a solid and true love, then, Keara," she commented with a barely visible smile, the merest twitch of her lips. She had never had the honor of the same, but that was due to her own faults. She had accepted that.
Her thoughts went on pause as she took a moment to consider the woman opposite her. She was what the modern world would term "gothic" in the way she dressed, but it somehow suited her. She was confident in her abilities and her station in the city, that much was obvious. And Shya had to admire her, in her own odd way, for being so self-assured.
"I serve no threat to you or your relationship. Enver is nothing more than the man that saved my life. I will always be grateful to him, but that does not extend to anything more," she responded, lifting a hand to run it through her long and dark locks, chocolate-colored gaze unwavering. "I am content with being alone. Keara. I have been nearly my whole life."

Keara:
Keara watched the way as Shya combed her hair with her fingers.
“Lucky I am, indeed. But several centuries waited I did for him to find.”
Several centuries not really sounding as impressive had she told her she’d waited over four-hundred years to find her soulmate. Though her wait had only been lonely in those past two centuries, though lonely would not have been Keara’s word of choice, torturous would have been more appropriate.
“And lost I did my companion and my sire. While glad I am, for My Love to have found, lost much I also have. But wrong you are in what last said you did. Alone you are not. Even if you Enver had not. Your furry companion have you do.”
There was a slight pause before Keara spoke again, as she had to consider her words carefully. She wasn’t even sure she could voice the words she hoped to say as they might be a lie, though they didn’t feel that way. Not now. She’d had time enough now to calm down and having met the childe, she wasn’t nearly as bothered by her.
“Family have you also. Through Enver. Through me.”

Shya:
Shya glanced away at the mention of family, her body growing oddly stiff. The woman was connected through Enver, and it must have taken a lot to come here. But... "My history with family is not the best," she sighed, hoping that was enough ld an explanation for her adverse reaction. "I appreciate the offer, but...I'm quite sure I would fit into such a setting. I no longer know how it's meant to operate." Dropping her hands from the small creature, he mewed up at her before scampering off, likely to hunt for mice. Her dark gaze followed him, much like a watchful mother of her child. "How long have you been a vampire, Keara? Does it ever get easier?"

Keara:
“No expectations have we of you Shya. Family you are. That changed cannot be, for of Enver’s blood you are. Worry not for that.”
Keara had not expected things to go this well with the childe. Had she have thought for one moment that things would be as they were, she might have asked Enver to join her for the meeting. As it was, she wasn’t entirely sure she could behave herself around the childe and so it was easier for her to not have to put her husband between them.
“Worry me your question does. For implies it does that adjusting well you are not. Answer you in earnest I cannot. For born for this life I was. My sire me that too did tell some four hundred years ago. Suited I did not the human world.”

Shya:
The fact that there would be no expectations left Shya to wonder what that meant for her, and her role as a member of their "family." Was what she already did enough, or was there more? She couldn't love them, not really. She didn't know how. And Keara was unable to provide an adequate answer, which only made her more uncomfortable. "I wouldn't say I am not adjusting well...I just have very little go on. Enver tried his best to explain it all when I awoke this way, but the time was short and he couldn't tell me everything about being a vampire. I have had to learn quite a bit, myself..." she explained, picking up a piece of broken glass, skimming it along the hard floor

Keara:
Nodding, she considered what Shya said. Enver may have been pressed for time when he came to see her but his lack of explanation probably had more to do with the way he was. Enver was intelligent but he didn’t always explain himself properly. He seemed to think that actions spoke louder than words and while they could talk for hours on end, and frequently did, she knew her husband (like her) didn’t always express himself clearly.
“Sure I am that Enver tried has for his best to do. Charming My Enver is, but sometimes his words fail him do.”
Keara looked over at the kitten and wondered what it was hunting. She also partially considered hunting the kitten. Not seriously, but for fun, though she wasn’t sure if the kitten would think it amusing.
“If questions have you do. Ask them of us you may. Though not always will we the answers have. Earlier said you did that share some powers we do. This true is, but I of another path am. I a shadow am. You a telepath are. Enver an allurist is. We are but three of six paths. Bridging powers there are, for the paths to connect and progress thusly in strength you can. Many powers have I, as train daily I do. Mind and body. Balance important is. Serious I earlier was. Telepath you may be but want you in Enver’s mind I do not. If wish you do for your powers to test. Upon me practice you may.”

Shya:
Shya happened to look away from the kitten in time to catch Keara watching the white ball of fur, his little butt wiggling as he prepared to bounce. "His name is Cirrus...like a storm cloud. He's become my constant companion. A handful, but he brings out emotions in me that no human has in a long time," she said as if telling a story. There was no reason for her to tell the woman the story behind the cat, but it was conversation. "I will make a hunter of him yet." While she had no idea how Keara felt about animals, she could only assume she had a love for them, as well. "Can the power I have connect with animals..?" It was a sudden thought, but one she now needed an answer to.

Keara:
“For into their mind to speak? Possible that is. Tried that myself I have not. Scare them perhaps you might. Understand they would not what happening is. Taught Gizmo to hunt I did. Though prefers he does for anything that Enver’s is for to chew. The other puppies untested are. Too many have we do. Teach them individually I must. Leeloo no aptitude for hunting has. Teach Cirrus I could. In unique fashion. Better learn they do by example.”
Keara was oddly knowledgeable about animals and the animal kingdom considering she’d never had a pet until recently. Or what passed for recently for Keara. They’d actually had Gizmo for more than a year.

Shya:
Shya hummed in thought, then nodded in acceptance of the answer she was given. There is no doubt that it would scare Cirrus to have a voice sound in his head, especially at first. Perhaps, in time, she might test the idea...but not while he was so young. "You have quite a few pets, it seems. I have never been a big dog lover, cats are more to my likely...more like me..." she mused aloud, not necessarily to Keara. "How would you train him to hunt by example?" The idea was an interesting one, and while she would not want anyone to take away her boy, he had been taken away from him mother, and so did not have the mother to learn from.

Keara:
“Puppies enough have we do. Started we did with but one. Then a companion for him bought we did. Then puppies our puppies had. Seven Chihuahua’s have now we do. And Cockatiel.”
A small smile pulled at the corner of Keara’s mouth as she considered the question as to how she’d teach the tiny creature that was hunting just across the room.
“Chose we did not for puppies to have. Gizmo Enver did choose and home brought to me he was. Never before have I a pet had,” she explained while she decided how best to explain her teaching technique. “Want you do for my technique to see? Easier it is for to show.”

Shya:
Shya's eyes widened at the idea of seven of Cirrus running around, already feeling the headache of such a thing coming on. "If I wanted seven of t
If I wanted seven of them, Peter should have given me the whole litter...and yes, I did meet Peter. He recognized my name, I guess.." she sighed with a nod, thinking of the shelter that he ran. "And yes, please so show me." She said with a gesture to Cirrus

Keara:
Keara began working on removing her boots.
“Oh. Peter wonderful is. He your sibling is. Under me.”
She made sure her tome remained tucked in her right boot and set the boots to one side.
“Hunting quite enjoyable is. Peter likely with this would not agree. Enver too. Peaceable my boy is. Mostly.”
Keara stood and without much thought to what she was doing began unlacing her corset. She didn’t explain the need to undress, though it would soon become apparent.

Shya:
There was a series of rapidly blinking as the woman began to undress, though Shya did not question the motives behind it. Considering this being the first meeting, it was logical to think there was a reason. So, she glanced away only to spot her little munchkin in the distance. "Sibling..." she mumbled, having never had one before. It was a word as foreign as the whole French language, which she had recently took up to learning. "I guess Peter and I will get along well, then. He has a love for animals and the peaceful sort. Enver made me a gun soon after I was turned...I still haven't fired it..." she said, almost sheepishly, with a slight twitch of her lips giving the impression of a smile

Keara:
“Guns Enver’s thing are. Proficient with them myself I am but blades prefer I do for to use. Used I did bows and blades to use when younger I was. Some habits difficult to break are.”
Keara showed absolutely no embarrassment as she shed the corset and began to shimmy out of her skirt.
“If fired a gun you never have. Practice you should. Know you should how to care for such an instrument too. More maintenance require than blades they do. Though so complicated they are not. Enver or I, you in this can instruct.”
She stepped out of the skirt, unhooked her garter belt and began to slide the stockings off. The stockings being the last of her clothing needing to be removed as Keara never wore underwear.

Shya:
Making sure to keep her gaze on the kitten, she began to chew on her inner cheek. How does one go about telling another vampire that the choice was purposeful? "I'm not sure I want to learn...unless I have to. Violence...isn't really my thing," she concluded, choosing to admit to it, rather than hide it. Keara did have a point, that she knew very little when it came to the weapon. Which more than likely was a bad thing. "Keara...after you show me this demonstration...might I ask you something? It involves something pretty personal to myself, and...I have not told anyone else. But, as you are here..." she trailed off, her eyes narrowing slightly as she considered her choice of confiding in Keara, who didn't know her from Eve.

Keara:
“Tell and ask me anything you may. Though promise I cannot that I Enver will not tell. Unless state you do that it a secret is. And then only tell him I shall if directly asked I am.”
Keara stretched, fell silent and then shifted into her animal form. The transformation didn’t take long as Keara was quite used to doing this these days and soon, where the woman once was, a lioness now stood.
Growling she stalked across the floor towards the small white bundle of fur.
’Larger than the average cat I am, but hunting, hunting is. Stalk Cirrus now I can,’ she said into the female’s mind.

Shya:
Naturally, Keara would tell Enver. Unsure how she felt about Enver knowing, she nodded and decided to contemplate telling Keara, after all. Rather than answer, she waited for the show, and when the lioness took shape before her eyes, she stared. It was hard not to admire the form, the sleek fur and toned body. "Impressive..." she mumbled, more to herself, but loud enough for Keara to still hear. "Wouldn't you scare him, though?"

Keara:
‘That part of the plan is. First hunt I do him.’
She crept up on the kitten that seemed too frightened to move once he set his eyes upon her. It stayed crouched to the floor as if not moving might hide him from the large beast coming his way. It didn’t of course. As soon as she was close enough, she moved for the kitten, snagging it in her jaws by the scruff of its neck before carrying it back to its owner.
‘Understand he must that he beneath me is. Then learn he shall for my lead to follow.’
Part of this advice could easily have been angled at Shya herself. Keara was her superior in many forms and yet this wasn’t a tactic Keara usually employed with her family. She didn’t like to place herself above them, as she didn’t believe that she was any different from them. She was older, yes, she had more powers than most, but they would grow in strength in time. With Shya though it was a little too easy to show off her skills, as the childe needed to understand that Enver was hers and that she wasn’t going to allow the female to take him from her. Of course Keara had already pretty much stated as much, so this display did in fact have everything to do with the kitten and nothing to do with its owner.

Shya:
As much as Shya wanted to comfort the little creature doing its moment of fear, she had enough faith to believe that no harm would actually come to him from the lioness. Killing him as show would do their situation little good, if any at all. When he was returned to her, she let Cirrus fall into her lap, where he stayed for a mere moment, before jumping off to cower against her leg. "So, this will be a step-by-step process. Will I be bringing him to you for kitten training?" she asked, with the mildest hint of teasing. There was no way of knowing how comfortable the two of them really were, and Shya had a hard time even knowing where she stood with this woman that was her...family. "Can all vampires shift that way? Or, is there the potential to, at least?"

Keara:
Keara purred and began grooming herself as she sat next to Enver’s youngest daughter. She wasn’t quite as driven by her animal instincts as Enver was.
‘Better would be if brought him to our home you did. Seen I should not be in this form when in the city I am. Home safer is. Enver perhaps the kitten too could train. If curb his instincts he could.’
She didn’t explain any further about what she meant by that in that moment and instead chose to focus on the question the child asked.
’We all the potential have for our forms to change. But not all the power do acquire. That the same with all powers is. Potential there is. And our forms differ do. This the only form is that take I can. But other’s, other creatures do become. Enver two such forms has. Lion and beetle. The beetle very pretty is. Quite distracted by his animal forms though he is. Allows he does for his instincts him to overtake.’

Shya:
Shya peered over at the lioness, then glanced down to the kitten at her side. "If it is safer there, then I have no reason to protest. As long as I can take him with me before sunrise...he's my companion, after all," she noted, scratching his head just between his ears. Keara had provided a whole new area of interest with the transformation, and the fact that all were capable of such a change. "I wouldn't mind shifting into an animal. Especially a wild one...they are all so majestic." With a shake of her head, Shya turned to look back at the lioness, suddenly realizing just what she was to, rather than a who. It actually made her laugh, which was such a rare sound that it even surprised her. She was as unfamiliar with her own laughter as Cirrus was with the lioness. Her giggles subsiding, she sighed and ran a hand through her dark hair. "Now, for another question...my personal one. And this will no doubt sound odd, but...do all vampires experience, mm...misfortunes? Freak accidents that couldn't possibly happen on their own?"

Keara:
The lioness tilted her head at the question, having momentarily stopped grooming so that she could focus on the childe. The laughter hadn’t phased her, but then she didn’t know that it was rare for Shya to do that. She herself didn’t laugh often. Unless Enver was around and then she laughed quite a lot. He made her happier than she ever thought it possible to be. Being with him was like gaining sight after being blind; so much was new with him. It was no wonder it had taken her this long to calm into the relationship.
‘Usual that is not. Perhaps haunted you are.’[/i]
He said it very matter-of-factly. It was the only explanation she had for the girl at this point. What Shya had said was vague but it seemed to fit. It was possible a spirit or wraith had taken a shine to her. Though wraiths did not have the ability to interact with the living, beyond speaking to them that was.

Shya:
"Haunted?" she asked, an eyebrow raising up in question and disbelief. There was always a line that she didn't cross, and that line marked where logic stopped and faith took over. She didn' have faith, she didn't believe in a higher power. She hadn't thought vampires existed, either, and that should have been sign enough to accept wheat she couldn't see. "I don't know, but this doesn't feel like a...haunting," she sighed, pressing her back into the wall so that her body straightened out. "And it isn't just me. When Cirrus is around, he sometimes suffers, too. It all started innocent enough, really...like tricks a little kid would play on an adult. And it has gotten progressively worse. Some nights, I wake up with scratches in various places, my room torn apart... "

Keara:
Keara had never heard of anything like what the female spoke of. It was tempting to think that she might just be crazy, as many telepaths were or did eventually become as such, and yet she couldn’t imagine the childe harming herself. With an aversion to violence it was unlikely at least that the wounds of which she spoke could be self-inflicted.
‘Observe you I would have to, for this for myself to see. Nothing of which speaking you are familiar to me is. Perhaps camera’s around you set we could for to see what happening is. For to observe. Then perhaps answers obtained could be.’
Keara brought her muzzle down to the level of the kitten and then licked it along the length of its fur. One lick was almost all it would take to groom such a tiny creature, but it was a friendly action, one the kitten would be able to relate to. One that would possibly stop it from cowering at his mistresses side.

Shya:
The fact that Keara had nothing to offer in terms of information had Shya's shoulders slumping in defeat, and she simply watched the lioness bond with the kitten. Since she had now made it clear that there was no reason to fear her, Cirrus slowly inched his way closer while sniffing at the unfamiliar creature. She couldn't believe how easy it was for such a small thing to accept Keara, whether it be as a lioness or not. Then again, he was naive. "Cameras...like those cheesy horror films where a man tries to catch the ghost activity on film, and it only makes their problem worse..." she muttered, having no idea if that would actually happen. Whatever it was that was attacking her, she didn't think it was a ghost. It was never central to one place, not really.

Keara:
‘Believe I do not that I such films have seen. It that is, or observe you myself I do. Time with Never and I spend you would have to.’
Keara wondered if she should warn the childe that spending an entire day with them might not be as simple as it sounded. They had what she would probably describe as impulse control issues when they were together. She was pretty much certain that they couldn’t spend an entire day together without getting lost in one another at least once, even if they did have company. They could behave for a few hours at a time but their attraction to one another tended to override every other thought, reason and instinct at times.
The lioness leaned over the Shya again, picking up the kitten once more in her jaws before settling down on the ground with it between her paws. The small white bundle was licked a further three times; once across the back and once up each side. Having groomed it more thoroughly, she nuzzled it gently and then lay her head next to it on one of her paws. If the creature was anything like her puppies it would likely take this opportunity to size her up and climb on her head or nip at her face or ears. The puppies liked the ears, and the tail. She’d swish it for them just to wind them up and make them chase it because even if they caught it, their bite wasn’t strong enough to hurt her.

Shya:
"The only problem with that...is that these usually happen when I am alone, or where I am paid no attention until I make a scene," she returned, wrinkling her nose in the slight twinge of annoyance creeping in the back of her mind. Every time she thought someone else might have seen what happened, they proved her wrong in their responses. To them, she was just a klutz with some very bad lucky.
Shaking her head to clear away the frustration with the situation, she watched Keara with Cirus for a quiet moment, letting her adoration of the creature calm her. For someone so 'cold,' she could not help but love him and his antics. As he crawled around on the lioness and attacked her tail, she couldn't regret her decision to adopt him. "It's typical of my existence, though. Leave one abusive home, for another. Except, I can't even see the abuser, this time."

Keara:
‘Then camera’s likely best would be. Or Deanna. That my sister is. Perhaps see her it shall not. Perhaps that our first step should be. Seen she has not till now anything that around you is. Though so much time with you spent she has not. Only for you track and your routine to learn.’
Keara entertained the kitten. It was sweet but she couldn’t afford to think about that too much, else she might start to desire one of her own and with seven dogs and one bird already at home, she didn’t think Enver would appreciate any new additions.
‘Work I must on tome for you. Access to the family forum easily enough is given. Do that now I can.’
She fell silent for a moment as she used her telepathic ability to tap into a local connection set up a login for Shya. Having done that, she swatted the kitten gently with her tail and stood.
‘For access to the elevator to gain, in the Asylum you would have to be. That our home is. If told that you have not been. Aithne Asylum. In Honeymead. Voice recorded must be, as required you are for vocal identification to give, for the elevator to use.’
She explained this as she moved around to her clothes. She’d never tried toming in her animal form and she wasn’t about to start now. She needed to shift back into her human form, which of course meant being naked once more; not that she cared in the slightest.

Shya:
Shya wasn't overly fond of the idea of this spectral woman following her around the city for any signs of trouble, even if it was for information. She happened to enjoy her alone time, and this Deanna would likely never appear, allowing her the 'security' of never knowing when she was about. "If we choose to go te route with Deanna, is it possible to have a heads up when she is about? Knowing she might be there, without knowing if she actually there would...well, it would be uncomfortable, to say the least." That was the best way she knew of to describe it, as she never felt particularly nervous.
The processing of the next moments took too long for even Shya's liking, but part of her was convinced she had misheard the words that had come from Keara's mouth. She had been turned months ago, spent so much time alone and now she was being told the way in which she accesses the family home, the forum. Rather than answer right away, she simply blinked, rapidly. "But, you don't have a voice recording for me..." she finally replied, suddenly realizing that Keara have just that. Shya hadn't even known she was being followed. She had no idea just what Keara did know about her, or have.

Keara:
A wry smile played across the woman’s lips as she shifted back and began gathering up her belongings. She stepped into her skirt but choose simply to hold the rest of her clothing as she had no intention of trying to lace the corset in the abandoned factory.
“No. Record we shall a phrase. That your passwords of sorts shall be. Needs it does the correct words with the voice to pair. Take long it shall not, but of a phrase think you should, before do this we do.”
The boots with her tome in were the last thing she picked up. She pressed the paper between the toughened leather and her index finger and nodded.
“Deanna her presence known can make. If ask it of her do. Enough of your time taken I have. For now. Glad I am that I this introduction made have. Better than expected it went.”
She nodded to herself again as she thought over the range of scenarios she’d imagined for this meeting. She’d honestly expected that she’d have to attack the woman and so was rather pleasantly surprised to find that she didn’t actually hate her.
“Home now I go. Into your mind speak I shall when tome have I do for you.”

Shya:
A phrase. A suddenly bitter-looking smile appeared on Shya's lips. Her mantra had been the same for years, and though it wasn't the cheeriest of words to live by, they worked. "I think I know just what that phrase should be," she said with a slight nod, though she had no intentions of bothering Keara and Enver any time tonight. Thought nothing happened, the talk had been draining and now she just wanted to take Cirrus and curl up in bed. (c)
As Keara began to off her farewell, Shya forced her back against the wall to bring herself into a standing position. It was strange to have Keara say the introduction went well, as she had been the only one that was positive it would end badly. Why she had assumed so, Shya couldn't say. But, she couldn't disagree. They were going on good terms. "It...was nice to meet you, Keara. Do have a good night," she offered, forcing the inflection into her tone so that it was conveyed as sincere. Though there was no emotion to back it up, Shya liked to think she would have felt that way, before. Plucking Cirrus from the ground, she nuzzled her nose into his fur, then glanced at K just before she left, "I will bring him by for his lessons."

Keara:
“No reason have you need of for home to come Shya. Treat the Asylum as such you should. As home. As refuge.”
She could have explained that there were rooms that could be bought upon one of the lower levels but she would explain that in time. She would also need to tell the woman to avoid one of the levels all together as it was far too dangerous to wander down the narrow, darkened corridors.
“See you soon I shall. Sure of that I am. Be safe in the darkness Shya.”
And with that the woman disappeared, toming home so that she could go to her cell and re-dress herself appropriately.
