--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--
This RP takes place on Tuesday 26th May 2015.
Skylar:
Urgh! I scream and kick the forge; hard. Not my brightest idea but it’s my foot or my mobile and a girl can’t live without her mobile. My foot will heal.

Ric:
I blink and look up from the pelt I'm working on. My focus shifts to Skylar as the pelt finds a home on the table in front of me. "What did the forge ever do to you?" I ask, not moving from my spot, but keeping my eyes trained on her.

Skylar:
“God damned, mother ******* arse holes!”
I slam my phone down on the table, ignoring the pain in my foot which is actually quite intense.
“And it didn’t do **** but be in my way.”
I growl as I try and put weight on my right foot.

Ric:
I look at her calmly. Skylar can be an irrational being, so I have to sometimes remind her of things that should be painstakingly obvious. "If you don't like where it sits, I'll move it. All you had to do was say so." I stand and wait to hear where she might fancy it now.

Skylar:
“What the ****? Ow.”
I turn to face him and have to remind myself that he’s not the one I’m mad at.
“I don’t want the ******* thing moved Ricky. I want my non-family not to be so ******* close-minded.”
I growl and wince again as I try to put pressure on my foot.
“And now I think I broke my foot.”
I fold my arms across my chest and try to resist the urge to punch something, especially since I’m looking at Ric and he could whoop my arse if he wanted to.

Ric:
"The probability is probably high that you did break your foot. Bone and metal colliding in to the other don't mix nicely." I sigh. "I have no idea what you're talking about." I go over by her, kneel and start to tend to her foot.

Skylar:
“Watch it.”
I growl.
“And of course you don’t. I didn’t tell you what happened yet.”
I grumble a few choice words under my breath but they aren’t aimed at Ric. I’m not even looking at him. I’m just so pissed.
My phone blips, telling me I have a message and I reach over to grab it while trying not to pull my foot from Ric. It doesn’t work. I end up on my arse. I read the message and snort.
“Whatever Elliot.”

Ric:
I sigh. "Ok. When you've decided you want to talk to me and not your phone, I'll be working on finishing that order over there. "I let go of her foot. Not to hurt it more, but to let her know I'm not taking part in a conversation I know nothing about. I head back over to bench and continue my work

Skylar:
I watch him in almost disbelief and shake my head.
“Oi! Get your arse back here.”
I point to the now empty space at my feet.
“I was gonna go one better and show you. It’s about you after all.”
I go back a few messages – not all the way back – just back to the start of my most recent plea. Having found the spot I wait to see if Rics coming back before offering him my phone.

Ric:
About me. Great. I don't like being the topic of conversation with people I don't know. I know Skylar, obviously, but I don't know who she's yakking to about me. I cross my arms at my chest, shrug and move over to her. She obviously wants to show me, so I'm not going to drag this out longer than it needs to be. "Now who you talking to about me? Sire someone new?"

Skylar:
“God no. Not sure I’ll be trying that again any time soon. Looks wicked painful. But not the point.”
I put the phone in his hand.
“I’ve been talking to Pi and Elliot about having you added to the family forum since we got married. Read for yourself.”

Ric:
I look at the phone, than at her. "I don't understand. I'm not their family." I tell her honestly before grabbing the phone and reading the messages between her and Elliot. I shrug again. "It doesn't bother me. Not being added or part of their family." I still don't like Elliot and Pi isn't much better in my mind. I didn't even want them at our wedding thing. Thoughts, I keep to myself because Skylar thinks Elliott shits rainbows or something.

Skylar:
“Urgh. I knew you’d be like that. You are ******* family. You’re my family. We’re married. And I want you there. Pat’s there. Ellie. Ali. You’d be able to get to know people.”
I snatch the phone back from him and text Doc to see if he had to promise not to reveal the lame **** that goes on in the family forum to his faction too.

Ric:
"I know people. I know Altaire and I know people in my faction. " I let her have her phone without a struggle. "Does it bother you that you aren't in Altaire?"

Skylar:
“It bothers me that my family don’t want to include you. And that’s your decision. I figured if you wanted me there you’d of asked your sire. I just can’t believe mine is being a ******* ****.”
I glare at my phone, huff and lookup at Ricky. None of this is his fault but I feel like I’m being a **** to him because of it.
“So… is my foot broken?”

Ric:
I shrug. Then I take her foot and push it up so that her toes are facing up to the ceiling. "That hurt?" I say while I do this.

Skylar:
I clench my teeth and lay myself flat on my back.
“Yes. My foot hurts just having you hold it. Urgh.”
I cover my face with both hands. When my phone beeps, I read the reply and write one of my own.
“Apparently Doc did have to make some kind of promise. Oh… I text him and asked. He just replied.”

Ric:
"I'm not making any promise to Elliot or Pi. I don't know them. I don't owe them anything. Most of all some stupid promise." I let go of her foot and sigh. "Good thing you don't need this foot for a night or two." I grumble. Wasn't Skylar supposed to be my nurse?

Skylar:
I watch him. Yeah. I knew the chances of him agreeing to that were slim. Oh well. I didn’t need a human family. I’m pretty sure I don’t need an immortal one either.
“Do you really not care? I mean. Yeah. I know you don’t but damn Ric. You’re important to me. Why can’t they see that? Why can’t you all just make an effort to get along?”
I’m not yelling. Oddly. I’m sad. Depressed maybe. Still angry at them though. I reply to another reply from Doc. Several in fact. He seems to get it. Kind of.

Ric:
"I don't understand why this is important to you. I can converse with people without seeing their Crownet area. Aren't I supposed to be meeting Patrick anyways? I don't need the Crownet for that. "

Skylar:
“I know. But there’s no reason why you shouldn’t be there Ricky. We’re ******* married. You are my husband. I mean ****. Ali’s there and she’s your sister. I leave messages there. I tease people. I don’t want people thinking I do that **** behind your back. You know what I’m like. I don’t mean anything by it. It’s just who I am. But I’ve gotten looks in the den. Like I’m doing wrong. If you were there I could flirt with you too.”
I know Ric won’t get it. It sounds lame when I say it out loud like this. Still. I know I’m right. What kind of family excludes someone’s partner? It’s just not right.

Ric:
"She is there because she claims Elliot as your sire. And you flirt with me fine here. In our home and in public too." I really don't understand what the big deal is. But, Elliot has proven what a douche he is, so I'm pretty pleased about that. I just don't say it.

Skylar:
“Ricky… Do you really not care? Doesn’t it bother you at all that you aren’t included? I mean… we’re married. Family stuff is something we should be able to share right? And you get my memories. It’s like full disclosure on my end. And no. No-one knows that. I haven’t told people about that little talent of yours.”
I groan and reply on my phone again. I feel a bit rude chatting to Doc while talking to Ric but I needed to know what promises he made. If any.

Ric:
I shake my head. "No." I tell her honestly. "I come from a broken family, so I'm used to being excluded." I'm not looking for pity. I'm just stating a fact. "Who are you yapping to? Tell Elliot we're having sex or something. "

Skylar:
I laugh. I shouldn’t be laughing cos I’m still pissed but he’s being silly.
“It’s Doc. Didn’t I tell you that already? I wanted to know if he made promises to stay on the family board. Apparently he did. He says you’re a keeper. Can’t say he’s wrong.”
I smile at Ric and try to sit myself up as best I can.
“So… Can I walk on my foot or what?”

Ric:
"Sure. You're a vampire. I'm sure you can manage." I stand up and move back a little. "And you did, but you're going on about Elliot when I'm not even bothered by it or the guy."

Skylar:
“Help me up then handsome.”
I shove my phone in my pocket and hold my hands out to Ric in the hopes he’ll help me get back on my feet.
“I have a question for you too once I’m on my feet.”

Ric:
I offer her a hand, then grab hers anyways and drag Skylar up essentially. "What's the question?" I ask her, focused on her face. She wears her thoughts and emotions there sometimes. I was hoping to get a glimpse of what she might be asking before she asked me

Skylar:
After he helps me up I wrap my arms around his neck and stare into his eyes. I’ve got both feet flat on the floor but my left foot is supporting my weight.
“Before I ask… You know you’re my family right? And that I’ll never exclude you from anything.”

Ric:
I nod my head. "Anything important, I think you mean. You exclude me out of a lot of things. Not that I'm complaining. I don't like bars and pubs and places like that. What are you getting at?" I stare at her more because I've no idea where this is going.

Skylar:
“That’s not me excluding you. You’d be more than welcome. But yeah. And so… well… I’m gonna get all girly on your arse for a minute. So no running away. Okay?”
I laugh and pull back one of my arms so I can tap him on the nose before wrapping the arm around him again.

Ric:
I'm extremely uncomfortable suddenly. My stance grown more rigid and I'm frozen, just staring at Skylar. "Ummm. Ok?" I blink and just look at her.

Skylar:
“So… and be nice now…”
I let the fingers of my right hand run through his hair and brush the back of his neck with my thumb when I feel his body go stiff in my arms.
“Do you love me?”

Ric:
I groan. "Not this again. You already know that answer." I glare at her now.

Skylar:
“Oh come on. Play nice now Ricky.”
I place two very quick and light kisses on his lips.
“Humour me. Please?”

Ric:
"Yes." I sigh. "I love you. I love you more when we aren't talking about the obvious. "

Skylar:
I laugh and shake my head.
“I told you I was gonna be girly. And there’s more to come. So… suck it up darlin’. Yes was the answer I was looking for. So… More girly ****…”
I continue to stroke his neck. I want to be close to him and I kinda like making him a little uncomfortable and pushing his buttons. Which I’m sure he knows.
“How much do you love me?”

Ric:
"I am not promising anything to Pi or Elliot." I tell her flatly. "But, love is not quantifiable, I believe. You love someone or you don't."

Skylar:
I sigh and shake my head, briefly resting my head on shoulder as I try to supress my laughter. I’m not that good at that though and giggle for a moment.
“I’m not asking you to promise anything. I’m playing. And if you play nice. You’ll get a reward. So… let’s try this again… How much do you love me?”

Ric:
"I do not understand this game." I frown. "Should I compare how I feel about you to an object I like? I love you as much as.... the project I am working on." I nod.

Skylar:
“You are so lucky my foot is broken right now else I’d be putting it up your arse.”
I glare at him.
“As much as your ******* project. You better love me more than that.”
I kiss him fiercely in the hopes that, that might inspire a better answer in him.

Ric:
"It's unlikely you would succeed in that task." I say confidently. "Fine. I love you more than my projects. Plural. And more than my swords. More than anything in our home. Satisfied?" I step backwards, indicating I am done with the game.

Skylar:
I pull him back to me.
“Better. And very good for you.”
I tap him on the nose again.
“And just so you know I love you **** load. More than anything. And one of these days I’m really hoping you’ll tell me you love without me having to ask you to say it. But not the point… You want your reward?”

Ric:
"**** load is not quantifiable. My idea of **** load and yours might be different. This is a stupid game, or exercise. Whatever this is "I inform her, then slowly nod. "Okay . I guess so." I'm leery of the reward since Skylar is being really weird.

Skylar:
“God I love you. You’re so ******* adorable.” I laugh and shake my head. “I did say more than anything. Want me to add in or anyone? Or more important than my guitar? And you know I don’t let anyone touch that without permission. Anyways… reward…”
I move away from him. Hobble away actually. I’m really not all that graceful right now and I know it. Not that I think that’s a word anyone has ever applied to me before now. Though I’m proud of the fact I’m not screaming like a ***** when I have to put weight on my broken foot. Note to self… Don’t kick the forge so hard next time. Cos knowing me, there will be a next time.
I pick up the sword I made, hobble the short distance back and present it to him
“I know. It’s not your style but it’s wicked accurate. It’s the best sword I’ve made to date and you know I always give you my best stuff first.”

Ric:
"You tried it out?" I asked her as she hobbled over to me, my eyes on the sword. The thought makes me grin, just a little. "Who, or what did you try it out on?" I forget about the sword and meet her half way to where she was and where I was. "Tell me how you know." I grab her free wrist and hold her by me.

Skylar:
“Babe. You do know I can rate my creations without the need for trying them out. I mean you just have to swing that one to tell.”
I kinda want to make Ric happy and tell him I killed something. I did but he might not need to know that. I have a feeling from the way he’s acting that he’ll be way too pleased. I mean it’s not like those rambling whatsits downstairs are very quick or anything. Hell. Blackie could kill one if I let him off the lead.
“I thought you didn’t care if I was battle babe? Did ya lie to me Ricky? Does it get you off thinking I might have used the sword on something?”

Ric:
I snort and shake my head. "No. But it would be good to know that you can use what you make if you need to. Which you might, one night." I remind her. "Give it a good swing." I step back, lick my lips and watch her. Intently.

Skylar:
I laugh. I swear he’s lying though. He’s practically salivating at the thought of me using this thing.
“And yeah. Step back. You know what I’m like. I don’t mind pratting about when you aren’t here but I’ll be damned if I take a chunk out of you cos I’m a spazz.”
I sigh and hobble a little further away from him cos the sword has some reach to it.
“No laughing. You laugh and I’m throwing this thing at you. ‘Kay?”
I don’t wait for his answer before I swing the sword in my right hand with a flick of my wrist. It’s not exactly something you’d do to take something out, it’s one of those showy moves. But hey. It’s not like I usually hit stuff. Showy is pretty much all I have considering I just play with the things.
“I did try it out though. On one of things in the lobby. Messy ******* things. Of course I actually hit that like I meant it.”
I pull the sword back and swing it down in a diagonal line that cuts across my body. A couple of whacks like that is enough to bring down a zombie and doesn’t require any finesse.

Ric:
I don't say anything. I just nod and step back to watch. The reality is, is that Skylar probably couldn't fight her way out of a paper bag, but she had to start from somewhere. When she's all done, I clap and smile bigger. "What things? Zombies or the other things?" I can't believe she did actually try it out.

Skylar:
He seems thrilled. I’m not sure what to do with that. Should I be practicing my moves more often? Did he lie to me? He’s never lied to me before. At least not as far as I know.
“Zombie. So don’t go getting excited or anything. I’m pretty sure you could sneeze on them and they’d be dead. Again.”
I tell him, offering him the handle, the flat of the blade resting across my arm as I present it to him.
“Now take this thing off me before I stab one or both of us. The chances of me doing that are pretty good on a normal day and well…”
I look down at my foot to remind him that my balance is suspect at best right now.

Ric:
I look at the blade, nod and take it from her. "Thank you. I like it. A lot. Love it even. I love everything you make." I add in, just because I apparently don't say that word enough for her. I move to put the sword down on my crafting bench and then move back to her. "Come on. " I don't wait for her to start walking, I just pick her up. "Next time, don't take your frustration out on an inanimate object. It won't end well." I state for the record before I take us to the bedroom. "I won't make you stand in the shower tonight." I'm pretty sure she knows what I'm getting at as we enter the room.

Skylar:
“Oh sure… You can say you love my weapons.”
I tease him and playfully roll my eyes as he picks me up.
“And wow. Cool.”
I wrap my arms around his neck and enjoy being so close to him, which is possibly stupid considering we’re about to get even closer.
“You know I didn’t give it to you to get something. Right? I just want you to have the best I have to offer. I want you safe. And thanks for the advice… Though you know I’ll probably do it again. I can’t seem to help myself when my emotions get out of control. Sorry. I love my present. I don’t actually have anything against the forge. It’s just always there when I’m angry.”
I should shut up. Ric likes me quiet. I plan to shut up. I do. I just, well, I’m me… I had to say what I had to say.

Ric:
I just give her an eye as I turn on the light in the room. The idea of keeping me safe is admirable, maybe even touching to most. But I know my skills and I know I'm safe. Now I wonder if I should get her some things to keep her safe. If that is what couples do for their other in their relationship, then I will get her things to keep her safe. She will need to be trained still. One thing at a time, I suppose. "You know I love you. You are just doing that thing women do. I will strive to show or tell you it more often, if that is what you require." I set her on the bed and put a kiss on her lips. And another. "Now, you should stop talking, so I can assist you in making you forget about your foot." I nod and carefully help her out of her jeans as I tell her this.

Skylar:
I place my weight on my hands and lift my hips so he can get my jeans off more easily.
“I know you love my Ricky.”
I tell him as I watch what he’s doing.
“But yeah, I would love to hear you say it once in a while. And just for the record, before I shut up, you’re getting pretty damn good at this relationship slash marriage thing.”
Having said what I need to, I fall quiet and concentrate on Ric. I could almost wonder why Elliot can’t just see what I see; Ric’s amazing. But really. I don’t want to be thinking about Elliot right now. Or my foot. Or anything other than what Ric wants me to.

Ric:
She tells me I'm getting good at marriage and I grin a little. I don't like doing tasks half-assed or leaving them unfinished. I just shrug at the compliment, even though I'm grinning a little. I have a different task running in my head, one that requires my undivided attention for a while.

Skylar:
I love when he smiles. He’s so ******* cute. I want to tell him that but I don’t. I’m supposed to be quiet. So I stay quiet. I don’t usually take orders and be all submissive and **** but it’s super easy to give myself over to Ric in that way. I like when he takes the lead and I want to please him. I don’t know how, why or when this happened but apparently I became that kind of girl; the kind that wants to be controlled by someone. I’ve never been like this with anyone. Thankfully Ric seems as content with the way things are between us, as I am. Considering the way this night started, I’m kinda thrilled by the way it’s turning out. Man do I love my guy.
