The pressure in her head was unreal. Her personal life was falling apart. Two men fighting for a place next to her. The pressure of choosing was overwhelming. Both equal in so many ways. So different in so many others. She was like a lamb, lost in the night. Her screams could have shattered every window and yet, there was nothing but silence. She had not the energy to scream anymore.
She needed to get away. Away from everything and, preferably, everyone. At least everyone involved in this horrible and awkward situation. A walk was always good so, off she went. Tee shirt, jeans and her nikes and she was down the elevator in Beta and off. No specific destination, just walking.
The night was nice tonight. A soft breeze but nothing major. The temperature was not high but not low. It was one of those perfect evenings. She cared not for the weather though. All her mind was focused on her life. The people in it and no longer in it. Things had fallen apart and been put back together so many times. Including her.
That brought her mind o think of her son, Dom. Dom and her started off on a bad foot. Fights. No one liked them and yet, they thrived on them. Two Allurists butting heads on a constant. He had even left once but, he was back. They had barely spoken since his return..... Maybe it was time? Would keep her mind off other things and, kill two birds with one stone. As much as she didn't want to be around people, she also wanted to be around family.
She closed her eyes a moment, standing at the edge of the city where it meets the woods in Cherrydale where she had found herself. A deep intake of the woods was taken and she felt the inner beast wanting out. Her panther wanted to play. She smiled and sent her childe a message quickly. "If youre not busy.... Meet me at the edge of the woods by Cherrydale station. Id like to talk." After that, she moved into the woods and behind a tree. She disrobed and shifted. She had time before he arrived. A nightly run was never a bad idea.

A message form his mother. She wanted to talk....in person. Must have been important. She wanted to meet in the woods? What are we witches, rednecks, canadian mountain men? Why in the woods? Oh well she wanted him there to talk he would head out there. He grabbed the submachine gun she had given him a while back and slung it across his chest situating it at his right hip before getting his coat on and heading for the door. Not much was needed for this trip. His shades covered his eyes as he left the apartment. Making his way to cherrydale he thought about what she wanted to talk about, no doubt it was something about a lover or lack there of. Love. That was a silly thing between them long ago. He had loved her once in the way a man can love a woman. Sadly to his extreme disappointment she had not loved him in the same way. Atleast if she did she never told him. She just fought his advances tooth and nail for years.
His rambling thoughts passed the time quickly on the train. It wasn't long till his stop was called and the train slowed to a stop at Cherrydale station. Exiting the train he could see the arranged meeting place and headed that way. No call would be made as he entered the woods, not with the fae born around. He knew she would find him eventually.

She ran as fast as her panther legs could carry her through those woods. She paid attention to nothing around her. The fae were there. She knew they were. She could have cared less. The wild is what she craved at the moment. To let go and release some of that pent of rage, frustration and sadness inside herself. Dodging the trees was almost second nature so she had nothing else to worry with.
She had found a tree like looked terribly interesting on her way back through towards where he would meet her and she couldn't help but stop. She scratched at the bark before leaping up into the branch and stretching out. A loud and long purr escaped her as she lay upon that hefty branch, eyes searching the woods now, seeing all she could see. For that few moments, she was happy. A moment of happiness amongst all the chaos that was her life lately.
Suddenly, she jumped down. She heard im and felt him. Dom was here. He wasn't far either. She raced to the tree where she had left her clothing and shifted, quickly throwing her clothing back on. Almost falling as she tried to slip back into her pants so fast. She giggled and then slipped into her shoes and came 'round the tree and off in the direction of her son.
She stopped a couple of feet from him to gaze upon him. It had been a while since she had seen him. He looked good. Happy. She had loved him once upon a time. So much. But she had a rule back then. No kids. Ever. She would never be with her childer. Thats not what she had made them for. So, she told him otherwise, broke his heart and walked off. Still, the connection with Dom was strong. Always was. Always would be, she had just kept her distance over the past while because of it.
She moved off of the tree and then behind him, purring as she wrapped her arms around him. Her head lay upon his shoulder and she smiled, speaking softly. "It's been a while since I've seen that amazing face, son. Too long. Thats my fault and today, I'm hoping to correct that." She held to him a moment more and then, reached down and grabbed his hand, moving to his side and then nudged him. "Walk with me? We have so much to catch up on."

Amazing face. That phrase brought an all to knowing smile to his "amazing" face. He did have an amazing face. That was one of the reasons she had spoken to him in the first place before the accidental turning at the bar he was working at. He nodded and started walking along with her. His fingers laced in her's and squeezed. He wasn't caring who saw or what was in the woids. All that mattered at the time was his Sire. She was obviously distressed in someway. She had never before asked him to walk with her.
His shades came off his head and hung on the collar of his shirt as he spoke. "What's up Beautiful?" Dom didn't need to state how right she was about the lack of Childer/Sire time spending. All he needed was to spend the time and make sure she was happy.

Hand in hand, they moved. Each step matched the others because they were linked. They always had been. Her eyes had moved from the ground to him and then back again. Over and over. She made no movement for a while to say anything. She just enjoyed having him close. The feeling. It was a good feeling to have her childe so close. She had forgotten what it was like.
After they walked for a while, she turned and looked at him, speaking softly. "I'm sorry." She said simply. It wasn't something that needed anything said back, just a statement. He knew what she meant. Time away from your Sire can hurt. She knew. It was why she severed bonds with Isabella. It hurt after a while to be away from her. She knew he had felt it. He had to have. She sighed and continued walking.
"Tell me what you've been up to? What have I missed, love?" She asked, shoulder to shoulder now, walking with him. Finally, they arrived at where she was leading them though. A tree swing big enough for two in the middle of the woods. She never allowed her hand to let go of his but made her way to it, sitting down, leaving space for him. "I want to talk. I want to get close again, like we used to be. I want to fix us."

The hand in hand walking was nice. The night air was cold as was the norm for Canada at this time of year but he still only wore the tank top and leather coat he always wore. He didn't really mind the cold as much not since he wasfor all intents and ppurposes dead. The swing just seemed to be there waiting for the two of them how convenient. He sat down next to his Sire and leaned back putting right arm on the back of the swing as his left hand adjusted the sub machine gun on his lap. He was never too far from a weapon in this town. What did she miss? Not too damn much it seemed. He hadn't been dating anyone for a while. He had one date with Clover but not a second...yet.
he looked up at the tree they were under and sighed. He liked that woman. Alot. He of course told his sire all of this before adding in his own curiosity of her going ons.

She took her seat and looked over to him, awaiting her answers. Her feet pushed the tree swing she had installed a few weeks ago, moving it back and forth. She had needed a place to sit for a few and think and Seren was never one to wear anything cheap so the ground was out of the question. A swing just made sense to her.
SHe smiled to Dom as he spoke about Clover and she tilted her head. She had not even known her son had been awake enough to be going on a date and meeting new anything. He hadnt come around in so long but, she was happy for him. She nodded as he spoke and then, came the question. What had she been up to. She looked up to the sky and kept her smile as she spoke.
"I'm glad you've seen Clover and you seem to like her. Always good to find companionship in this place. It can be a bit overwhelming at times and really, without someone around you on a constant that you can really talk to and lean on.... this place can swallow you whole and spit you can out whenever it feels like it."
That was all she was saying. Why explain the pain? Dom would just be Dom. Get worried and all protective. This wasn't about that. This was about nothing more than she missed her son and really wanted to spend time with him. Get to know him again. Fix things, maybe not like they had before but close enough.

Dom sat in the swing and put his arm on the back of the swing as his sire spoke. She avoided his question, rude! Hehelped her push the swing with his foot. Always somethin with this woman. Why can't she just be happy? Is she aglutton for punishment? He of course wouldn't bring that up to her, it would only cause an arguement. He listened more intently than before now that he was done rambling in his own head. As she fifinished talking he nodded.
" So anything you been doin lately?"
