Kellan picked up the journal, he thought long and hard before shrugging and nodding at the guy behind the counter, How much? He asked in his deep gravelly voice. he nodded as the man answered then dug around in his pocket for the lifted cash. He nodded briefly before stepping back out into the night. Soon he was under a tree on some random block, staring at the blank pages of the journal. He nodded to himself and picked up the pen.
I can't remember when the last time I wrote was, years maybe? I don't do much these days but sling ink and ride hard. I oftentimes worry that I may be losing touch with reality, I wake in strange places sometimes, unable to remember hours at a time. Who knows, maybe I am, losing touch I mean; after all, vampires are real. I am one of those mythical beasts now, strangely enough. I didn't plan it, it just kinda happened. Now I believe that my sister is a vampire too, though I don't know where to find her. God I hope she's okay, or at the very least happy. She deserves that after all the cruelty we have had.
I remember as a kid, that she took the beatings for me, she wouldn't let him hurt me. After Mom died, she became Mother, and I am grateful for that. Damn I miss her.
Kellan looked up and squinted, he needed to find shelter and soon. Stuffing the journal in his cut, he hopped on his Harley and sped away.
