--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--
Marjani: After being relentlessly hounded for the better part of a month, Mari agreed to go see her mother and brother for their yearly celebration of ‘family day.’ In some respects Mari’s mother was glad to be away from Africa, but kept the traditions they celebrated in Africa alive. Her mother, much like Mari both loved and hated Africa, for about the same reasons. Her younger brother was much too young to remember. He was lucky, she often thought.
‘I need you.’ Mari stood in front of a reflectionless mirror as she sent that message to Nishaa. She had changed her clothing at least half a dozen times, but Mari still wondered. And worried. Did she look dead? Would her mom notice how cold her skin was? How it lacked vibrance?
The ebony colored woman sighed, ran her fingers through her hair, which only ruined all the hard work she put in to straightening it and sent another reply to Nishaa. ‘Please hurry! I’m in your hotel.’ With the last message sent, Mari plopped down on the edge of the bed, leaned back and looked up at the ceiling, as the boom box Nishaa gave her blared some old school Backstreet Boys.
<Nishaa> The text came through as she was plucking a block from a factory. She inspected it - Iron. Well, that was another block for Micah to hold or to make bear traps with. Either one worked really. She was under strict orders to forage oil from the neighbouring factories. They wouldn’t miss it, not really. Grabbing her phone from her back pocket of her black jeans with her free hand she flipped open the screen and looked the text over. The first thing it said was ‘I need you’ that filled the woman with panic, had she been out in the sun again? She growled low and feral in her throat as she dropped the bag
Another text beeped through, asking her to hurry. Wasting no time the necromancer grabbed her tome from her satchel and read the words out loud before dissipating from the scene and re-emerging in basement of the treehouse before pushing herself past the members and moved into the silver box. She made her way to third floor, and straight into the portal that lead straight to the hotel that Velveteen and Micah owned - that was currently being renovated into a home for all the Andras members. After landing there she strode to her room and opened the door, didn’t greet the woman simply grasped her face with her hands and inspected her over with onyx hues.
“Are you alright, who hurt you? I’ll kill them.” She growled - only until she noticed that there were clothes scattered across the bed and the woman was wearing, was that make up. She scowled then taking a step back.
Marjani: Mari had expected Nishaa to come and to come quick, but she hadn’t expected the reaction she got. It made her smile and stare back at the woman before Nishaa was stepping away from her with a not so pleasant look on her face. Mari sat up, shook her head and then extended her hands to the clothing on the bed and floor. She stood, grabbed the phone off the bed and started writing a message out for Nishaa to read. ‘No one did anything. But, do I look dead?’ She stood up taller, put her chin out a little more and then put her arms out at her side, forfeiting her phone over to Nishaa. She twirled, giving Nishaa a full view of all her assets. Perhaps, going a little slower than what was expected or needed, but Mari didn’t mind having Nishaa more or less eye **** her over.
When Mari was done spinning, she stood in front of Nishaa, waiting to hear what the woman had to say about the one piece outfit she picked out for family day. It was a little skimpy in the back area, but it covered most of everything. More than what she normally had covered anyways.
“You look lovely.” She said out loud, admiring the one piece suit she was wearing. “What’s the occasion?” She eyeballed her over as she gave a one last eye **** with her onyx hues as she twirled for the final time before nodding her head. “Why did you want me here so quick? Are you going on a…” she couldn’t bring herself to say the last word. Date. A pang of jealousy hit her gut. Perhaps she could kill her date before they got here.
Marjani: The compliment meant more than Nishaa would have ever known. But it showed on Mari’s features. Her smile was wider than it had ever been and her eyes even lit up. If her flesh could have brightened, it would have. Hearing Nishaa’s compliment was like a breath of fresh air. It was like life to Mari.
The woman moved around Nishaa, an arm draping around Nishaa’s right side of her neck and her other hand collecting the phone from Nishaa. Their arms touched and Mari kept it that way as she typed. ‘I’m going to see my family. It’s family day. Very important day to recognize for my family. I was hoping you would come with. Since you are my family too.’ Mari looked at Nishaa, her eyes focused on Nishaa’s face as she kept typing more. ‘I haven’t seen much of my family since you sired me. I don’t want to mess it up.’ That wasn’t the real reason she wanted Nishaa to come. Mari wanted her there because Nishaa was the most important person in her life. Nishaa was everything to Mari and she was ready to let her know that. Mari only hoped she was as important to Nishaa as Nishaa was to her.
<Nishaa> She would always appreciate the way Marjani moved. She moved with such grace - a grace Nishaa would never posses, and she envied her for that. Grace was not something you learn, it was something you are born with. Marjani with born with grace - she was a gift to Nishaa. No matter what had happened in their past it had brought them here to this moment and Nishaa couldn’t think she wanted to spend an evening with - even if she had thought the woman had been burned again, or worse - attacked by those who hate Tytonidae and go for their family members. To wound the faction. Nishaa wouldn’t forgive herself if the woman became a target to lure her out. She curled her fists into a ball at the sudden thought. Anger filling her as she exhaled uncurling her hands and then focusing on Marjani - and her clothes, and well how hot she was right now.
“I’ll be happy to accompany you.” She said. Smiling as her fangs were clearly on display - they’d never be able to be hidden She would have to work harder to hide them if she was going to meeting her childe’s family.
“Do I need to change? I may need to shower. I do smell.” She said.

<Nishaa> She took the phone from her childe and looked over the words. The woman didn’t communicate vocally with her, only through her body language and texts - she had come to the conclusion that she either was a mute - or had a problem with her voice. She didn’t ask though because she had been that way since she was sired, and had accepted that fact about her. Marjani had been an accidental siring, well not accidental. It had been meant but she was forced into this life. She had grown into it though - and Nishaa admired that about her chocolate delight. She was so possessive, and protective of her little delight. She was the only one of her childer that actually stuck around.
