Claramond walked down the seemingly hollow hallway, shoes clacking on the cold, tile floor. Spider webs hung from the walls. The only other life was the poor souls who had to guard this place and the heartless vampires infesting it. Well, the poor souls may be vampires, but they were the good kind. The vegetarians.

If vampires could even be called life, she thought.
The only vampire she had ever liked was Sam. She didn't even know he was a vampire until a few years prior, and even by then they had been company to each other for eight years total.

The only reason she wanted to come here was to fullfill a wraith's, a former worker here, final wish. The unfortunate man had worked here for most of his life, and had been killed in a Vampire's attempted 'rebellion', if throwing a huge tantrum and killing a couple of people with another few creatures countered as a rebellion. But it didn't end up nice for that vampire. Well, correction, it won't end up nice for that vampire.
That's why she was there, after all. To avenge him.

But she was having some… trouble focusing on the task at hand.
After all, how would you be able to focus through the moans of pain caused by any sentient creature, even if you despised the creature with every fiber of your being?

She was finally starting to block out the noises when she noticed another creature. It was sitting on the floor of a cell. It looked… angry? No. More hopeless. And probably hungry. She tried prying her eyes away from it, but she found she couldn't do it.

"Hello?" She asked quietly, hesitant. Sam gave her a confused look, wondering why she would initiate contact with someone of a species she deemed 'scum'.
