This RP takes place on Monday 20th April 2015.
Forsyth:
Forsyth stood there by the elevator. Why was he there? Maybe just to hide out or waste time away, maybe because he didn't want to go home. But there he was, idly leaning against the wall with his phone in his hand. It continued to go off, business back home always made contact with him, seeing as he was no way to be reached in person. When he heard the elevator door ping open he looked up from his phone, seeing a familiar face step into the Depot. He smiled and stuffed his phone into his jean pockets. "Hey Skylar." He spoke up. Would it hurt to start up a conversation with someone? Nothing better to do but just stand here. He didn't know many around here, the woman who just appeared he knew - little of, but knew.

Skylar:
I've come to the depot to work for a bit. I don't have to, but I kinda want to. I need a little time away from Ricky. Maybe it's what Kat said yesterday or maybe it's the fact that Dillon's funeral is fast approaching and I still can't wrap my head around the fact that I'm in love with - and ******* - his killer. I tome in, step up to the elevator and make my way up to the depot. There are a few people milling around, one of which I quickly recognise as Sapphire. "Hey Saph!” I yell across the room at her and I swear I hear my voice echo about the place. "Don't you have places to be and people to see and all that?” The rather vacant brunette looks up at me, smiles and disappears through a portal. I'm not sure what she was doing. Picking her nose maybe for all the use she was being. It's kinda not her fault I can't stand the sight of her right now though, I just miss Dillon. Forsyth speaks up and I turn to look at him. "Oh. Hey hun. Didn't see you there. How are ya?”

Forsyth:
Forsyth raised his eyebrows and turned his glance towards the faded portal that someone he didn't know of, but knew went by the name 'Saph' now. He shook his head and returned his grey hues to the blonde near him. He pushed himself off the wall and moved towards her, so he wasn't that far from where she stood. "I'm doing, well I could say the least." He pressed his lips together. Well? More of distressed, uneasy. But the way he masked it, no one would know. "How are you doing?" His lips twitched, almost into a smile, but nothing more.

Skylar:
"I'm... well I'm doing pretty shitty actually but I'll get to that in a minute.” I look the guy over. He's kinda cute. Not really my type but then I'm not looking and he's taken. "In the interest of full disclosure I should probably tell you I'm like an emotional lie detector. So... lie to me all you want about how you're feeling but I'm gonna know the truth.” I shrug. I'm probably coming across as a little hostile but that's not my intent. "Sorry man. My best friend died a week or so back and it's kinda messed with my mojo. The funeral's in a couple of days and I'm ******* livid I can't attend. Daylight thing and all that.”

Forsyth:
Forsyth lifted his chin only slightly, his eyebrows pressed together. Emotional lie detector? That's something he never heard before. Well, he was lying about how he was emotionally. But did the girl really need to pry on his wellbeing? Not really. Or maybe she cared? But that seemed a little odd since they knew little of one another. He let out a quiet chuckle and shook his head. "Let’s just say relationship issues." He gave her a wink, that held no playfulness, no smile following after. Just so she got some type of clue. "And I do apologize for your friend. It's not fun to go to funerals. Especially to ones of the person you cared and loved for. I've been to one of those myself." He never liked to bring it up, or even continue speaking of it with what happened to his friend - more so a lover.

Skylar:
"You and Ali having issues?” I ask without thinking. I mean I don't want to pry but Ali's been there for me when I needed her, so if I can help return the favour I can't really just walk away. "I think I'm supposed to be all wise about that stuff now what with being married and all.” I raise my hand and point to my wedding ring. "Though you know. Relationships... kinda complicated.” I could probably tell the guy all about the issues Ric and I are having. Or rather not having. That's really more my issue right now. How the hell could I forgive him so quickly. How can you love someone that can kill your best mate and not even seem bothered by the fact? I mean sure he apologised but... I dunno... I'm not sure he meant it the way it sounded.

Forsyth:
Forsyth nodded his head faintly as his gaze lowered, brows pressed together as he thought. Was it issues? Or just his paranoia? It was probably both. Their communication, their distance between each other, it has been causing quite some issues between one another. He wasn't one to talk to others about relationship problems, but this woman seemed like she knew some stuff. "Issues, a little yes. More so it's the way I'm thinking. Ever since I turned, emotions and my paranoia have heighted quite a bit. More than I want. And somehow there's no way to control it." He gazed at the ring and nodded. Marriage, he was close to that when he was human. Then he got changed, came into this life, met Aliyah. Sure, they love each other. But was marriage in the question already or was it too early?

Skylar:
"You are preaching to the choir there my friend.” I reach out my arm and drape it over Forsyth's shoulders. "What flavour vampire are you anyways. The way you are talking I'd guess allurist like me. Man there are days when I feel like I'm emotionally PMSing. It's not funny. And if there's a way to stop me when I'm having one of my meltdowns... I haven't found it yet.”

Forsyth:
Forsyth reached up to scratch at his head, then ran a hand through his hair. "Telepath, actually." He corrected her. "My thoughts consume me at times." He looked down at the girl quietly, who tended to be a lot shorter than him, he felt like he was just towering over her.

Skylar:
"Maybe you need to talk to another telepath? I don't think I know any truth be told. Charlie can do that mind speaking thing. Elliot too but they're both allurists like me. Ali's a shadow. Pi's a... I think she's a killer. But maybe Pi or Elliot could talk you through it. Did ya always have a tendency to overthink things? And oh... is there like an activity or something that makes your mind go blank? You know... something that shuts your mind down? I'd tell ya mine but you may not wanna know it.” Ali would think it oversharing and that's the only reason I don't just blurt it out. Though knowing me it'll find its way out of my mouth in the near future regardless of my desire to try and stifle it.

Forsyth:
Forsyth thought on it. He knew one, his boss at his job here in Harper Rock. She was a telepath, he could probably go to her to talk through things. "I know of one. I should talk to her." It was a thought, not like he would go to her. "No activity, besides work to keep my mind occupied. Or go back home to work, that tends to help, but the distance just makes things worse between us." He shrugged a shoulder. Half of him cares, half of him doesn't. It's his business he needs to focus on, something he wants to bring here. It took most of his concentration and attention. "Maybe I should take up some type of activity, but, I do not know at all what there is to do."

" ‘Kay, ‘kay. Well in a minute you gotta tell me where you work cos I'm not entirely sure how far, far is. Me... I've always just played my music and sold my jewellery on ebay. That's how I was making a living. I'm a professional busker. Am. Was. I dunno. I still do all that but now I sell weapons through the local auction house. I bill ‘em as re-enactment weapons. They're just a little bit better quality and a sharp is all. And I work with Ricky. Ric. My now husband. I help manage his business. I do the metalworking for him, handle the customers, get deals on materials and stuff. I'm rather ashamed to say I'm developing a work ethic.” I give the guy a gentle squeeze and then remove my arm from him. "But work doesn't silence my mind. Music calms me. I mean that's a great way to channel emotions and stuff but sex is my sure fire cure for switching this off.” I point to my head and smile at Fors. Yep. I knew it. Just a matter of time before I said it.

Forsyth:
Forsyth grinned faintly, and quite quickly. "Far as in New York." He mentioned right away before letting her continue speaking. He listened, his eyes gazing across the Depot, while keeping his ears on her words. "I knew you were the one who handled metalwork, people tell you make swords. Which," he turned his gaze down to her, "I should talk to you soon about." He had a rifle for now, and it worked quite well, but he would like more of a sword which he was used to. His lips became thin as he thought about how to shut off thoughts and his emotions. "Well Aliyah and I don't get to that, it's rare." He said mildly, though quiet. It was, they saw rare of each other. He was around most of the time, her, she was elsewhere and somewhere he doesn't know.

Skylar:
I'm kinda surprised that he decides to share that last part with me. "Well no **** hun. If you're off in New York that would kinda put a halt to the whole having sex thing. Well... with each other. So yeah. Hopefully it puts a halt to it. Cos she's kinda my sister in more ways than one now and while I'm no battle babe, I do have the hubby to turn to for all my violent needs.” I elbow the guy in the side. I'm half teasing, half warning. He seems the nervous sort though so how anyone could get this guy into bed without a bit of work is beyond me. "Though you know it might be something that runs in the family. Depending on which of you it is that isn't all that keen on sex. So who is it that hold out? You or her? And I heard ya about the swords in case you're wondering I just wanna stay on topic for a moment. If we can.”

Forsyth:
Run in the family? Nerves or the less of need of sex? Oh he enjoyed sex, more than most people probably. "I don't hold out. I love it actually, the intimacy. But Aliyah, she sort of seems uninterested in it. Not sure if she wants it, ever, I try to hint it but she tends to be the one to pull back and talk." He scrunched his nose slightly. Why was he so open about this subject? Especially to Skylar, someone he knew little about, but somehow had a connection to Aliyah. Which he knew since she was married to Ric...

Skylar:
Well that all made a scary kind of sense. Nature over nurture on that one then. "Well I can't say I'm surprised. When I met Ric he told me he didn't date. We were dating around two months before I pointed out what was going on. He really couldn't deny it then. In that time he told me he didn't do sex either. Had no interest in it. Didn't see what the big deal was or something. I told him he just hadn't found the right partner. And I'm pretty sure I was right cos we don't seem to have all that many issues in that department these days.” I try to stop myself from grinning too much at the thoughts I'm having. "So yeah. Don't take it personal or nothing. They're neither of them the physical sort. I stroked the back of Ric's neck once and pinned my hand to the wall with his dagger.” I shrug like what I just said was completely normal. "I tell ya what though. All the hassle I went through... totally worth it.”

Forsyth:
Forsyth cleared his throat and shook his head. "I should not be talking about this." He brought up once she stopped talking. It was too personal, something he shouldn't be even speaking about. "Anyway. About the sword, would you help me out with that? I don't know exactly what to do or tell you what I want when it comes to swords."

Skylar:
"Oh hun. I'm the queen of TMI. If you need to talk, I'm happy to talk. I kinda have a problem with boundaries. You don't get a guy like Ricky unless you're willing to try and ‘em a little. That make sense?” I wait to see what he says and take out my phone. I'm not ignoring the guy, though it might look that way. I'm just accessing the family forum so I can show him the list of swords I have on offer.

Forsyth:
Forsyth shook his head quietly, his hands moving into his jean pockets. "No. It's not you. I don't want to go into any more depth with my sexual relationship with Aliyah. She may be your sister-in-law, but she's my girlfriend and I know she probably wouldn't like what I share with our sex." He looked down at her with his eyes slightly squinted, watching her quietly, waiting for her to answer with the sword question.

Skylar:
"Tell I beat it out of you.” I laugh and look up at him. "Though I doubt she'll believe that. Tell her I tricked you with my allurist powers. Like I compelled you to tell me or something. She'll get over it.” I hand the guy my phone with the list on. It's probably a bit weird doing it this way when I have most of the swords stored in the corner of the room but it's the best place to start. "What kinda weapon you looking for?”

Forsyth:
Forsyth looked down at the phone as he took it in his hand and looked through, his eyes squinting slightly, trying to narrow down his options. "Hm, something powerful, with accuracy. But right now what you have they all seem pretty good." He handed her the phone back, "What would you suggest?"

Skylar:
“I dunno. I mean the weapons I make are pretty good. At least Ricky - Ric - tells me they are and he kinda sorta ought to know cos he can use the things. Me. I’m not all that good at wielding the things. So I guess it depends on your style. You looking for a long-blade? Short-blade? Something blunt? If you can narrow down the type of weapon you’re looking for I’m sure we can find you something.”

Forsyth:
Forsyth tilted his head to the side as he thought more on the style of blade he wanted. "Short, more so in between, that I can carry it around at my hip to defend myself." Though he didn't really need to, he's become fairly well with using his hands in martial arts.

Skylar:
“ ‘Kay. So that’s a start.” I take back the phone and look over the list. “Do you care what it looks like? I mean some people do. I rate them for cuteness so I can decide easier which ones to get rid of when the time comes.” I scroll through the list. “Like this one… the A397. I love that. But it might be because it’s Ric’s kinda thing. I mean he’s never complained about the swords I’ve given him but sometimes, I’ll like put the bits together and I think it was made for him. You know?” Yes I’m obsessed. I kinda can’t help it. The ****** probably killed my best friend with the sword I gave him as well but I can’t do jack about that now.

Forsyth:
Forsyth glanced back at the phone to look at the sword she was showing him as of current. The look on blades? Does it matter to him? No not at all, not like he's trying to look anywhere fancy. "What's your best one? With power, accuracy, and quality?" He took back the phone without asking to look through the list idly, "Hm, I like the A819. I'll pick that for now."

Aliyah:
She hadn't moved from the apartment in a week or two, maybe more. She stopped keeping track, but the motivation to get out had hit her like a truck. With little thought, she had grabbed her Tome to go to the Den. The familiar elevator greeted her and she smirked at it like an old friend before allowing it to carry her to the Depot. As soon as she hit the floor, her eyes landed on Skylar and Forsyth not far off. With a cant of her head, she wandered over to the pair, "Hey...am I am interrupting anything?"

Forsyth:
Forsyth lifted his eyes when the elevator pinged to introduce someone to the Depot. When the person he least expected to step out, did, his eyes lit up and he stood up a bit more straight. The affects she had on him were noticeable. His lips lifted faintly at the corners as he looked at her. "Not at all, just picking a blade for myself." He said first, not sure what Skylar would say in return.

Skylar:
“Yes. So **** off.” I tell her all too sternly before I grab the girl by her shoulders and shake her. “Where the **** have you been woman?” I hug Ali tightly. “I was half considering stealing your guy away and then I realised you’d be left with Ric and that’s kinda, sorta gross isn’t it.” I laugh and drape my arm around her shoulders before kissing her cheek and tuning my attention back to Fors. “Well my best one is kinda fugly. I’m not really sure what to do with it truth be told. I’m wondering if Pi will take it cos I’m sure she needs a better weapon by now. The A819 is a good choice too though. It think that one might actually be here.”

Forsyth:
Forsyth blinked at Skylar at her words. Steal him? No one would compare to Aliyah at all. He chuckled quietly to himself and shook his head. He watched the two silently as he stood there, waiting for Skylar to reply to his picking of a blade. "Then I'll take that one, if it's here." His grey eyes returned back to Aliyah, his chin lifting slightly while he watched her. How long as it been? Probably a month by now.

Aliyah:
The shaking came unexpectedly, her head bobbing front to back. Her hands gripped at Skylar's arms, blinking rapidly. The hug that followed soon after left her somewhat speechless, but she managed, "Kinda gross? Really, Sky? Incest is 'kinda, sorta gross' to you?" A smirk formed on her lips as she smacked a kiss to her dear friend's cheek. " We will get you help." Her attention turned to Forsyth and she smiled for him, without a hint of hesitation. He would have noticed the smallest bit of force or lack of warmth, anyway. "Finally getting a piece of Sky's work? How long have I been on you for that?"

Forsyth:
Forsyth lifted his shoulder in a quick shrug. "Well I've been locked up in your apartment with you, second I have been working, and third I have yet to run into her until now. So don't give me that trip." He said mildly, but his eyes hinted playfulness.

Skylar:
“Yeah well you’re both kinda, sorta hot.” I tell her with a wink. “So… you know… I’d just have to try and forget about the whole related thing. If it was me and Brett now. Well that’s just all kinds of wrong.” I shiver at the thought of ******* my brother. Eew does not even begin to cover it. “And cool A819 it is. No screwing each other’s brain out while I’m gone though. ‘Kay. I know Ali’s just dying for some payback on that front. And I might just freak you both out by sticking around to watch.” I walk away from the pair of them laughing as I go. I’m pretty sure the dagger’s here but if not it’s a quick trip home.

"Our," she replied to Forsyth without a thought, as she had already told him. For whatever reason, he insisted on referring it as otherwise. "You do make a hot babysitter?” she teased him, looking at Sky with sudden disgust. The compliment was flattering, sure, but the idea of even kissing Ric made her want to vomit. "I happen to have self-control, Sky!" she called after the woman as she moved away, only to move in and kiss Forsyth's cheek.

Forsyth:
Forsyth "Thank you, Skylar." He said to her as she walked off. His arm instantly curled around Aliyah's waist, and the affection returned to her temple. "Self-control? You?" He snorted but clearly he was trying to be playful. He held her close, almost protectively with his hold, afraid that somehow she would slip away suddenly. "Our apartment now? Does that mean I can finally move stuff in?"

Aliyah:
"Dude, you already bought yourself a dresser. What more do you need? A handwritten invitation?" she teased with a small giggle, curling her arms around his waist. The need to feel close to him was intense, and so she just let it surround her and keep her calm. Having Skylar nearby didn't hurt, either. The woman was crazy, at times, but loved.

Skylar:
“Self-control’s overrated.” I yell back at her as I start carefully looking through the stockpile of melee weapons I keep in the corner of the room. I’m pretty sure it’s here as I’m working on improving bits and pieces back at the apartment. I don’t mind taking my time though. It seems like the pair need to catch up. I kinda gotta admire their restraint cos I’d of been all over Ricky like a rash. Yep. Self-control is overrated.

Forsyth:
Forsyth narrowed his eyes down at her, but the stare was playful. "Don't call me dude, baby." He kissed her temple multiple times, then lead them down to her jaw. He just wanted to smoother her in affection, and it was a little hard to hold back at this point. "Let me make the spare room into an office?" He looked at her with hope.

Skylar:
“I’m still here.” I call out from over by the forge. I have no idea what they’re up to but I can’t help but tease them a little. Ali’s the type to actually get wound up by my own personal brand of PDA but that might be because it’s with her brother. I dunno.

Aliyah:
Her eyes rolled heavenward at his comments about her choice in her words, but she let it drop due to his teasing tone. "If you insist, my love," she said with a nod, shooting Skylar the bird over Forsyth's shoulder. "At least it isn't a transit, woman!" Forsyth would have no idea what that meant, but she wasn’t sure she was up to story-telling. Especially if the thought of it already made her stomach turn. "As for the office...we can, on the condition that I get at least two walls to make into my own personal library and book collection."

Forsyth:
Forsyth scrunched his nose and nodded, squeezing her waist and pulling her close against him. He didn't know what they were talking about, nor was he going to pry, just not now in front of the two. His attention turned back down to Aliyah and he smirked, kissing along her neck playfully. "You got yourself a deal, Miss. Hawthorne." He whispered to her ear.

Skylar:
I burst out laughing at Ali’s reply. I didn’t see her flip me off but it wouldn’t have bothered me if I had. I kinda enjoyed myself that night. “Okay. Okay. Break it up now you tow. And just for the record Alley Cat, we went to the toilets to finish off our fun after some wanker ratted us out… if you remember.” I poke my tongue out at her as I return with the dagger and hand it hilt first to Fors. “What do you think of the weight? Does it suit you?”

Aliyah:
The blonde shuddered at the memory, her face growing even more pale. If that were even possible, "Please...don't remind me." At the presentation of the blade, she stepped back from Forsyth so he could test it out. Her own blade was constantly at her hip, but she had chosen a long-blade. She had that in common with Ric, at least.

He nodded and glanced down at Aliyah next. "I'll take it, as I said." He spoke to Skylar then. "How much?" He quirked an eyebrow.

Skylar:
“Pfft. Please. You love watching Ric and I make out and stuff.” I poke Ali in the shoulder. I know she doesn’t. I know she hates it. The girl just seems to end up around us at the wrong times sometimes. “And no charge hun. Family don’t need to pay. That’s how I give back to everyone. Aliyah:
"About as much as I love vomiting in a moving transit's toilet..." she agreed with a nod of her head. Her eyes were on Forsyth as he tested it out, an eyebrow raising. "Skylar's other talent is making us all uncomfortable with her openness and lack of a filter. But, I love her, anyway. And her swords are amazing."

Forsyth:
Forsyth blinked a few times. No charge at all sounded wrong to him, he felt the need to pay back in some way. "Are you sure? I can give you something at least in return." He held the dagger in his hand and stared down at it then to Aliyah with a brief smile.

Forsyth:
Forsyth glanced back down at Aliyah and nodded. "She means everything to me. I'll do anything to keep her happy." He nuzzled Aliyah's neck with his nose, a faint smile on his lips.

Aliyah:
The mention of raising the dead made the blonde blink at her friend...sister-in-law...in shock. "Who...would he be raising from the dead?" she asked in confusion, eyes narrowed. As far as she had known, no one had died recently, unless it was someone in Skylar's family. Forsyth's affection went almost unnoticed, but she laced hr fingers with his own and gave it a squeeze, so he knew she understood.

Forsyth:
Forsyth closed his eyes tightly and lifted his head, his jaw stationed, muscles in his cheeks jumping from his clenched teeth. He gave her hand a gentle squeeze before releasing it. "I'll leave you two be to talk, catch up, yes?" He raised his eyebrows to glance between the two. Should he wait to get an answer or just leave? They would probably need to talk through things that were missed, and more so personally. He kissed Aliyah's temple. "I'll see you at home." He then gave a small nod of his head in goodbye to Skylar. "Thank you again." He then made his way to a faded portal.

Skylar:

She felt almost disgusted, but couldn't quite act on it. She loved Skylar, she loved her brother. And as disappointed in them as she was...it was their life. It wasn’t her place to interfere. "Look, if that is how you deal with things, fine. If you need to sit down and talk though...show some tears...I'm around, okay?"

Skylar:
“Thanks hun.” I hug Ali tightly. “Now… you should probably go see your man. And I should probably go see mine. Take care of yourself ‘kay?” I playfully smack the woman on the butt. “Race ya home?” I say suddenly remembering we’d be jumping through the same portal.

Aliyah:
She offered the woman a smile and a shake of her head. "You take care of yourself, and start visiting me again, okay?" She glanced toward the portal and laughed, "Sure..." and without warning she ran off for a head start

Skylar:
“*****!” I say with a shake of my head before starting off after her. I’m pretty sure I’ve lost this race due to my heels but I’d be damned if I weren’t gonna try.
