It was a normal day as the sun broke through her curtains caressing her delicate white skin, Insanity had been undercover for almost two full years for the international division of the Criminal Investigation Department. So deep undercover she had forgotten her given name. Along with her partner, she had been programmed well with the help of the drug HDACi (histone deacetylase inhibitor).

The case they were assigned was to find the mole that had been killing other agents throughtout the world. All the leads she had all ended in nothing. Something wasn't right, her informant was a reliable one. He had never failed her in the past. With those thoughts running through her head Insanity strecthed as she rose from her bed. She needed to close this case and take a little time for herself. Hearing him nearing her apartment she headed to the kitchen to ready their shots. Her body was already craving the drug that would make all the pain disappear. As her head began to ache, her body tensing from the pain of all the emotions and memories her mind held. she took a deep breath as she drew up the needles.

Smiling as she heard him entering the kitchen, "Hello Dunk, you are slacking I heard you coming up the stairs." He smirked at her, "Well you know I have the same abilities as you other than I have no idea how to mix our serum. However, my body does carve the nasty substance. So come on give me the syringe."

Tilting her head slightly, she smiled as she handed him the serum. He had never asked for it before, she had always given him his injection. "When you are ready we will leave." she walked to her room closing the door behind her. She laid on her bed her body and mind wrecked with pain as the memories and emotions rushed over her. Quickly she gabs the needle into her arm, pushing the serum into her vein. Her eyes sliding shut the serum takes over her body, the white hot pain that flowed through her veins was what she needed. She traded one pain for the other but the results of the serum out weighed the pain of the memories and emotions of her past. She woke with the needle sticking out of her arm all pain was gone from her now. She was the emotionless a machine, the thing it would take to catch this killer. Changing her clothes to fit the character she was now assuming, she headed out to the living room.

As she entered, she didn't see Dunk anywhere, he never left without her. They had been by each others side for years through the training, then as partners on every case. They were like clones of one another, their skills matched each others perfectly. Although lately he was acting a bit strange and today added to what she did not want to admit to herself. "Ok maybe he is waiting on me in the alley. Get yourself together and let's go." If nothing else Insanity was a creature of habit. As she entered the alley there was no sign of him. "Hmm, let's see if I were Dunk where would I....oh yes, he was telling me about a city he had came across the last time he was out. Now what did he say the name of that city was? Think Insanity think." Her mind raced, "oh yes," she remembered that she had written it all down. She turns running back into her building, up the stairs and into her apartment.

Entering her apartment, she went straight to her room. Moving the rug she pulled at a loose board, there it was laying in the dust just where she had left it. She took the tiny leather bound book and opened it to the page that was held back by the leather bookmark. "Harper Rock" written in bold letters that is where he was headed......
She had never heard of this city before but he had described exactly where it was located and she had written it all down before she took her dose of their serum the night before.

With the serum still racing through her system she rushed to the kitchen to grab their nightly dose. There was only one syringe, again she thought he had never given himself his own injections. She shook her head clear focusing all her senses making them all come alive. Awaking her senses was her second strongest skill she had been taught which meant it was also Dunk's second strongest. Mindless, emotionless killing machines and they were the top of their group.

Taking her serum out the door she headed to Harper Rock. Finally after follow Dunk's direction she reached the city limits. When she entered the city she could feel that something was a bit different. It was on the edge of nowhere.

She entered the city with caution her sense of smell was picking up living things, rotting flesh and smells that she had never encountered. Insanity calmed herself as she stepped into Harper Rock. Taking a deep breath she began to hunt for him, it had finally sunk in that he was the very thing they had been hunting all along. Had the serum made this monster? She did not care. She had a job to do. Knowing that she needed her injection and what affects it had on her Insanity plunged the needle into her arm. As she watched the serum enter her veins, her body was on fire. She did not need any emotions right now. She had to find Dunk and end this case.
She walked the city for hours until she found the sewers. That is is she thought. He would be down there to give himself the serum. She lited the manhole cover and entered, there he was. His eyes were wild. She had never seen him like this before. He yelled, "I knew you would find me and now I have to do the one thing I never wanted too. I have to kill you too Insanity."

The was a violent one blow for blow they matched each other. Insanity was extremely tired from the serum. Why was Dunk fine? Her body began to betray her slowing down. Then she felt it....no sadness....no pain....just the cold hard steel of his blade entering just below her heart.

Insanity felt nothing as she lay there looking up at him. "Finish me Dunk, if you have the guts too." She heard something running up the sewers toward them.
