Path of the Vampire forum

Hello everyone,

I am very new here and I have been going through everything to get myself acquainted with how the roleplay aspect of this site goes and the game as well. I would like to start off by saying this is a very intriguing site with so many layers to the story play and I am falling in love. I have since completed the tutorial on the game and I am still a bit confused on what to do next. Oh yes my character is a human sorceress named Pandora Lunaris and I have a big background story for her that I will get to later. Anyways what am I to do next? I am just curious how things will go now that I am in the big grid world.

Now for my main questions, they all pertain to the roleplay aspect. First is there some form of face claim section of the site to inform others which playby is yours? The one I am using currently for Pandora is Noemie Lenoir. How does it work with profiles because it is a bit confusing in terms of where I get the code and then post it? I assumed the wiki page under human but I did not know how to go about it. Also where all do I post my characters information, from looking at other’s profiles it appears in the grid profile, a wiki, and another profile area in forums. I am just confused about how to go about it all and I would be extremely grateful if someone explained all of this to me. I am also sure there is a fun forum thread for where everyone is getting such beautiful sig and profile artwork and I was wondering if I could have that link(s).
I really what to get this character together so I can start plotting with you all and write some really awesome stories. I am more so role-play focused but I am enjoying the game thus far.

To answer the first part. There is a model face claim list located here. Feel free to have a browse, claim someone you want - they arn't enforced. When it comes to posting character things you have several options, you can use the wiki side of things and create a CS there. There is a few coding guides on there that are useful, you can glam it up if you like presentation and make it as indepth as you want - if you want to use the grid CS to fill out all your information its the <b></b> kind of code so you go to the grid - settings (from the drop down) - then go to profile, and fill it in the big box there, you can also add graphics to your CS the avatar and banner. Mora as an example; here

As for requesting a banner for you request for one here; here. We have wonderful people here that could get you kitted out! If it helps, in your request let them know I'll happily pay for the banner/avatar set. :)

Onto the grid side of things as your a human sorcerer there are several options for you to do. You can level up - play the game, explore. Was there something of interest that you wanted your character to do? Fighting/Stealing/Rituals/Hacking - any of that? Also, now that your out of the tutorial hub, humans get a resting bonus at sunrise if you keep them outside. It's better if you put your human somewhere that is currently high in security, it is possible for a vampire to randmly come along and bite you - they won't know its you, they'll think it's an NPC. Something to look out for. As your a sorcerer to gain PXP you need to use a power everyday rock skin for example. PXP helps you gain powers to advance on the path - which can then help you dual path your human, if your looking to become a vampire - there is a more commands option on the grid you can send someone you want as a sire a turning request and you'll be a vampire.

Hello Bethy!! Ah thank you for that link, I placed my character down. So I just need to make the wiki account and then take it from there in terms of CS for my character. I saw the one for the grid and I like the examples you showed me, it was a nice way to put the bio info. Do you have any coding samples of that format? It’s alright if you don’t I think I know of where to find some.

Well I enjoy the exploring aspect but I have used up all my energy so I will have to wait till tomorrow to really get around again. I thought I would enjoy rituals but thus far I am not so sure about it since it’s a random array of runes that you have to guess for the incantation. Granted the zombie ears keep the demi-fae from messing me up but I a bit on the fence at the moment. Fighting has been fun, I like how it’s a whole little story about what happened and the options on how your character fights is nice. I am focusing mostly on upping my martial arts and agility so that I can handle hand to hand combat easily. But I really want to level up her path so I can see where the magic will go and etc. Thus far I only have the chi power up which is good. Is rock skin something my character would get with more PXP later on or is it an early level upgrade? On the vampire note when I am atucally playing my character will I be able to tell the players from the NPCS or do they all come up grey? Just want to understand that better.

On the dual path part I really want to make her a blood thief as well and I actually came across one who would train her in the apartments. But he wants 50,000 and 20 vampire names so it will be some time before that happens haha. With the vampire portion I really want to thread out a plotline with her and vampire leading up that. My goal with her was to eventually become a vampire but I want to enjoy the perks of being human and sorcery for a while. I did see the thread where humans and vampires can find matches to sire and become childer. I will look through it again once I settle a bit more into the site.
