Daily 'Quests' to bring about more activity.

I had a random thought that occurred to me and it tends to work well in most other MMOs that I don't see why it shouldn't work here. Maybe a little altering of the tutorial code would make it quite easy?
The idea is to implement "Daily Quests". Something a character can do that breaks the monotony of the game for those that are growing bored with it and something to help characters become more active if people so choose. The thought is for there to be 20-30 different things in a 'pool' of sorts and each day you log in 3-5 of these things are chosen as 'daily quests'.
Example:
Character A logs in and finds their daily quests to be something like "Post once to one of the RP forums, kill 5 NPCS and bank $1,000."
Nothing too difficult but something that could have a nice little reward attached to it. It obviously needs a bit of discussion and specifics ironed out but if you think this is a good idea )or bad idea) why not head over to game discussions and give your input?
