Overview
On Thursday the 15th of January, in the early hours before sunrise, Harper Rock is about to be bombarded with the worst storms it has seen in three decades. Though the weather reports going out are indicating that there is a mild storm coming, they do not know the extent of the damage that is about to be done. Nor do they realise that on the same day there's going to be a massive earthquake in the Harper Rock area, measuring roughly 7.0 on the Richter scale. The culmination of these things will cause serious damage to many buildings, tear up trees, flood many riverside areas, and cause power outages and deaths.

The problem for vampires is that sunrise is coming, and many are left stranded out in the open, or in crumbling buildings with rescue workers coming and going. Who you get stranded with, where, and in what dire situations might end up being left more to fate than to your own choices.

Rules and Details

• Who you roleplay with during this sidestory is completely random. You will be grouped together by an admin, given a setting, and left to get on with interacting with one another.
• To participate in this story, please post your desire to do so in this thread. You can enter with multiple characters, but please list all of your characters on the same post, so we know to split them up. The list of people will be randomly grouped together on the 14th, after which the threads may start.
• Every participant will be given a super rare faeshard in game, which can be used for enchanting weapons or relics, once that is possible.
• If fights break out, you should battle in game to determine the outcome, if it comes to that (live fights, sparring, or battles to the death). You may also use the dice roller as you see fit.
• The threads can end whenever you like, and there is no minimum page or post guideline. There is no time limit, though rewards will be given out on the 14th of February.

The storm has hit, and the city has gone into pandemonium following a series of massive tremors. Trees lay strewn about roads. The river banks have burst, flooding the streets from Gullsborough to Westwall, and most of Wickbridge. Hurricane strength winds pommel from the north of the city, making everything north of the Necropolis nightclub very dangerous for mortals. Some buildings have crumbled, some have caved in, starting fires to further fuel the chaos and panic.

For almost all vampires, the impending sunrise means danger, either from slipping into total torpor (as most vampires will), or from becoming essentially as weak and vulnerable as a mortal human. Perhaps your lair has suffered some damage, perhaps you cannot return there, or perhaps you are out seeking a loved one you worry about. Though not all groups will be trapped or in danger, try to think of your own reasons that your character might end up in such a situation, and perhaps why they might choose to remain with the group a while longer, if no other reasons present themselves.

Please note: from a roleplay perspective, you might find yourself unable to tome home, due to the earthquake potentially disrupting the placement of altars, or causing rubble to block spawning points. It's up to you as the writer of your character, but this is just a suggestion as to why you might not simply be able to tome home.
