Canon & Lore Contributions (Wiki)

Hi, everyone, we've decided to open up Path's mythos to the public somewhat, with certain stipulations, moderation and guidelines involved. Basically all this means is that you will, if you wish, be able to contribute to shaping the world, history and other lore of Path of the Vampire. All of this is done via the wiki.

There are two options available for those wishing to contribute something to the canon of Path of the Vampire:

Option 1: New Wiki Articles
If you wish to write a new wiki canon article about (practically) any subject you wish, you can do so, and then submit it for approval to David (Mooncalf) via PM. This can be an article about history, creatures, fae, power combinations, human factions, Harper Rock locations, your own factions ... the list is pretty extensive. The article will be approved and listed as official canon if it makes sense, if it's in keeping with previous canon, and if it's is decently formatted as a wiki article. The canon must of course make sense to David, as the maker of Path and the holder of secret plot twists still to come, so it might be worth asking his opinion before writing it all out in detail, so you can PM with a very rough outline of your idea first, if you feel it's necessary.

Option 2: Suggested Wiki Edits
If you see a canon wiki article about roleplay matters (such as history or lore), you can suggest changes or additions to this article in a similar way as with option 1. You might see something which contradicts something stated elsewhere, or you might think of some other important information that should be added, etc. To do this, simply go to the wiki page in question and click on "discussion" under "Page Editing" (you must be logged in). Here you can copy and paste the original article, with your suggested changes added into it as you would normally if you were editing a wiki page. Canon pages will be looked over for suggested additions regularly, but if you've added something important or extensive as a suggested edit, you can prompt David (Mooncalf) to take a look via forum PM.

If you go to suggest a change on a canon article which already has suggested changes, treat it as you would with any public wiki article, and simply add to the suggestions already made.

I apologise in advance if your suggested additions to the canon are rejected; some things simply won't make sense because of various secrets and ideas I have going on in my head which I can't disclose, so I can't always explain exactly why a particular suggestion won't work. We also don't want to clutter each page with too many small details, so that might also be a factor.

Monthly canon contributions are recorded, as with regular wiki contributions, and significant contributors will be rewarded with 10 karma each month, as a little thank you for your help.

Over the following few weeks I will be adding to the canon myself as much as possible, but the more detail we've got the better, so any help you can give is very welcome and appreciated. Thanks!
