What good is it?
I mean, really. With all the seeker powers, do we even need that stat realistically? Or can we get stuff added to the grid where tracking is worth something?

Tracking is supposed to be great for locating NPCs and determining from which direction NPCs are coming in a B&E setting. And yet, it's completely useless for both those things.

With the reduced energy cost of tracking at higher levels of the skill, it's brilliant for exp per energy cost maximization. Unless you enjoy wandering around the mansion looking for Lionelli vamps, and wasting lots of energy, I guess.

I imagine she just uses her wraith to locate them.

Wraith or Doppel when I'm bothered, but I did a cost/benefit calculation for exp gained ('cause I'm a geek like that) and in the castle, it's not even worth my [literal] time to use the wraith/doppel. I think the total energy saved by using the wraith is like... 2.6. 2.6 energy is not worth a doubling in the time it takes to run my character. Tracking would also cost more than that 2.6 energy in order to track down the NPCs, not to mention the extra levels necessary.
Ergo no, tracking is an absolutely useless skill.

So you don't use your wraith because it takes much longer, and yet given the chance to save that time by using the tracking skill, you'd find it "useless"? Seems it does have a use, even if you do have two thralls with (albeit finite) energy supplies, which I might add that not everybody has.
Not to mention the uses the skill has in salvaging junk, finding bosses in the wilderness, and quickly locating players in a big area.

She doesn't track at all. She walks around because there's not a lot of energy spent/wasted. Is what I got out of it. And most people have a thrall of some sort.

Walking wastes much more energy than tracking with a skill of 20.

Tracking of 20? That's when it becomes useful?
