--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--
* Every shrugged out of her jacket as she stepped into the tavern, her heart turning to look at the newly acquired rip in the sleeve of her shirt from a triggerhappy cop sitting outside. "********." The word was muttered under her breath and with that, she made her way over to an empty table while her hazel eyes searched for a 'meal' as some would call it before taking a seat after her back was set against the wall. Choices were choices, and Doc had suggested she be a little more social, hadn't he?
* Spade was standing at the right side of the door, watching the room with the thumb of his right hand brushing over his lower lip. He watched her walk right by him and heard her mutter. Perhaps if he were paying more attention to reality, rather than ripping the faces off each individual within the walls, he'd have heard the shooting as well. He remained silent, though he inspected her properly.
* Every waited as time went on, setting her jacket against her seat as she inclined her head and studied a few guys that were tall and looked less drunk of the bunch before pursing her lips in debate. She really didn't need alcohol in her system, as the toxins would bother her. Standing up, she smoothed out her shirt and paused, feeling attention on her before glancing in the direction it was coming from and walked towards a red headed man in his early thirties as a smile danced across her lips. "Hey." The two began to talk as she debated on how to feed, to lure him out or to just wait.
* Spade smirked. She was on the prowl. He could tell from the look in her eye. Often he was a bit too observant but it paid off in the long run. What were they talking about? Why did he want to know so badly? Pushing away from the wall, his hand moved into his hoodie pocket, where his pistol laid ready for protection. Or a murder spree. Whichever. His hand rested on the human's shoulder and he spoke in a calm tone, though the kind of calm that brings shivers down your spine. "Take a walk, bub." and as the words fell, he grinned in the direction of the woman. "Her and I have a discussion to look forward to."
* Every had started a conversation about school after the man introduced himself as a Professor, whether or not it was true, the shadow didn't really care. "I'm a Criminology student." She explained, chuckling when she noticed movement and the man from earlier became coming closer, "Dad and I thought it'd be good for me." A lie, but he'd never know. He'd never live to see daylight, if she had her way. And then the stranger spoke and her eyes lifted to him, narrowing slightly in a mild glare as if to ask what he was doing. The Professor glanced to her, glanced to the man and decided to take a hike. "Can I help you?" She asked the second the man was out of earshot.
* Spade locked his gaze with hers. Though, it wasn't a stare-down to see who was tougher. It was more a curious, who are you look into her eyes. "That mans intentions were to drug you and have his way with you, I'm sure you could tell." he spoke in a low tone. A hint of humor in his tone. He leaned close to her, resting his hand on her forearm as he whispered. "Perhaps we should torture him, then you may feed." he proposed. As he began to lean away, his gaze returned to hers and he became entirely focused. His hand remained on her arm and he suddenly felt a connection to her that he didn't feel anywhere else. Examination began as he concentrated on the energy he'd been feeling. As it was pushed into her, and he gave her a pint of blood using his ability, he'd grown rather shakey. It was the first time he'd ever used a power as a vampire, so it left him confused. He tried not to show it.
* Every gave him a look, "It's not as if it'd work." She said quietly, resisting the urge to yank away from him at the touch as she normally would with people, but still tensed enough to give warning. She wasn't entirely too happy her meal had gotten away and she watched the man as she slightly leaned away. However, that stopped when she watched him and felt the familiar sensation of a blood heal before pulling her arm away from habit. "Thank you. Although I can do that myself." She muttered, her hand dusting off the spot. "He can't exactly drug one who will not drink." Mindful of her tone, she stepped back. He smelled familiar, but she knew she hadn't seen him before.
* Spade rolled his eyes at the tension she carried. Though he understood it. He hated being near and around people. Mostly because he couldn't help but to want to slaughter everyone and their families. He seemed to have a thirst to kill that he couldn't explain. "Whether it would work or not, the intent is there. What is it about you that leads me in your direction?" he asked as his eyes slowly returned to her own, locking in place.
