Character FB Pages
So I thought I'd try a thing. It could be fun. It could be completely stupid.
But I've created a facebook page for Jesse. It's just a page connected to my page so you don't 'friend' Jesse, but you 'like' him, but I figure it'll work the same way. So rather than post things to IC rant threads, he might just vaguebook. I don't know whether I'll actually keep up with this or not or whether it'll just flop hardcore. But here it is:
https://www.facebook.com/jesseffordepotv
Anyone else want to give it a go?

Re: Character FB Pages
I did this on Abyss with a character and a few other players who did the same. It was a lot of fun and made for some very interesting interactions. In some cases Facebook was the only place two related characters could find it in themselves to actually get along. In person, things tended to get a bit... Violent.
I might think on it for Lex sometime. He and James would be the most inclined, I think.

-- Lol. I remember doing this for Myspace and Ravenblack.
Uhh. I might. We'll see. It'd be interesting to see if Jesse could get Reanna to make one...

Re: Character FB Pages
Would it be better just to have a social network for characters that's separate from the real FB? I thought I remembered seeing some software for setting up your own on my site's CPanel someplace...
I wouldn't make a FB profile, but that's primarily because I try to keep very strong boundaries separating this and my public life.

Re: Character FB Pages
I always thought the FB/Myspace thing for characters was kind of invasive and creepy/weird, mainly because...

Re: Character FB Pages
Apparently there is indeed software I can set up on a private site to make a mini-Facebook. Totally willing to give this a shot so people can demo it, but I have no idea what to name it <_<

Re: Character FB Pages
Yeah, the reason I did the Myspace back then was because it was NOT connected to my personal myspace. You couldn't even find the link to the character pages.
I'd do it if it were off of Facebook, like their own little things. I have Constance and Trinity who I just RP as having a social media site. So if it were something associated with the game, I'd look into it.
