Parting The Veil: An Impact Thread Idea

So... I had a random *** idea the other day and, after batting it around a bit with some people thought a thread here to gauge interest and further the idea might be good, so here goes...
As we know, Harper Rock is the only known safe place for vampires to live and die without too much worry, but where does that safety end and how big a population can it support? That's where this RP would come in. The idea is that a number of vampires would set themselves to the task of widening the tear in the veil between the living world and the shadow realm, thus increasing the safe zone available to vampires in which to roam and allowing a bigger population to be readily supported.
Quite how this would be done is still a little up in the air. Mass zombie/mooncalf/fade beast summoning, hauling wraith after wraith across the divide, repeated performanvery of rituals that affect the 'other side'... human sacrifice. Really, whatever works.
What we would like to know is who, if anybodynamic, might be interested in joining in on a thread like this and any ideas about what might act as a catalyst to make it happen, and the mechanics of doing it. Cobb may have managed on his own but he has 200 years to do it and we... don't. At least not as writers, anyway.
Thoughts?
