A Doctor,a Neromancer,& a Brobdingnag walk Into a Bar(D&M )
The following was a live chat rp :
It had been a long night Mortll had been combing over them for all the business's all evening long. The numbers were starting to blend together by the time she finally had everything cleared away for the last one . She didn't want to see anything about a restaurant again tonight. She shut the computer down and Took a quick shower slipping into a simple white shift added some jewelry and a nice pair of heels . Quick check in the monitor she had set up on her vanity and she was out the door to Dark Eden.
She fished her phone out of her purse as she sat on the short transit ride :
Mortll: Text: Hey Darlin
doc: *text* Hi Baby. Long day here.. yours?
Mortll: Text: Very long and i just wrapped up. I'm headed to Dark Eden do a bit of relaxing Do you want to meet me there ?
doc: *text* Sure..
Mortll: Text: Great ill meet you at the bar .
Mortll smiled and slid the phone back into her purse She got off the transit at Westwall and rounded the block soon she could hear the thumping beat of the club music . She nodded at the attendants as she Slipped by the line that was already forming She told them who to expect and to let him on through she slipped them a tip and moved on into the club. It was crawling with people many were dancing and off in their own little groups. She slipped in at the front bar and ordered a drink enjoying the atmosphere and waited .

Re: A Doctor,a Neromancer,& a Brobdingnag walk Into a Bar(D
Doc arrived at Dark Eden later than he had anticipated, and was surprised at the line to get in. He grumbled and went to speak to the guy at the door. He merely was going to ask how long it would take before he would get in the door, and was surprised when he was let it. Apparently Mortll had already taken care of things. He wasn’t going to argue. He readily slipped through the entrance before anyone was given a chance to say they had made a mistake.
Moving through the crowd, he spotted her by the bar and made his way there. Upon reaching her, he gave her a kiss ‘hello’ and pondered how to broach the subject. It was a rather delicate situation after all. The email that he received in his inbox had arrived from an unknown source and attempt at replying to it failed. He didn’t have the ability to hack and trace IPs, and he really didn’t have any interest in it … until now.
“Hi there Baby.. you’re looking good tonight.” He reached into his inside jacket pocket and pulled out his cell. He was still at war with whether or not he should tell her. Part of him said to ******* ignore it. The other part of him said, if you don’t show her, and she finds out later, your *** is grass. Reluctantly he swiped the screen of his phone. He loaded the email with the attachment “You know I love your place..right? And..I like being there, doing things there.. but Baby.. you need to move your computer or security camera or something.. somebody hacked in and hijacked your system..”
He handed her the cell as he hit play on the video that was attached to the email. “And before you ask.. No I do not know who sent it to me. No, I do not know who else has it. No I do not know ‘much more there is to it...’ He waited for her reaction, and slipped in a quick reminder, “Remember, we are in public…”

Mortll played with her drink watching the dark liquid swirl in the glass . She liked watching the people mill about ... the girl in the corner that came with a group of friends' but really didn't want to be there the couple that were so in love in public but she had slid her hands down another guys pants when she went to the bar for drinks and was out of sight of her lover all the little dramas and who was who unfolded if you just sat long enough and observed . Mortll glanced at the neon clock that was behind the bar she hadn't realized she had been sitting there that long she wondered what was keeping Doc just as she turned to fish her phone out of her bag He appeared a smile spread across her face just to disappear as soon as she saw him fish his phone out of his jacket .
That damn phone always meant bad news She hated his phone with a passion he was all ways getting summoned away by it, loosing it or not answering it. The latter was rare in her case but she knew when she was being ignored or avoided. She took it from his hand and looked at what he was showing her. Her eyebrows raised her mouth drew up pursing ... She listened as he talked ... Then she took a deep breath ... "Do you care if we have someone look at it see if it can be traced ? at least we know you got some good moves on you but I really don't relish having a porn tape of us out on the internet ... Jesus what type of damage would this do to your status as a respected Surgeon and Dr.?
I will get Jarreth Archer he's the best I've got at Jardin he keeps things tight there to go to my apartment asap and check all the cams and computers there. Oh damn Hun I'm so sorry this happened ... I've got plenty of people that don't like me but I've never had anything like this happen before ..." Her mind was racing 90 miles a minute each thought making her more and more angry ... she sat there looking at him at loss as to what to do about it . Other than clean up the problem on her end ... but stopping anyone else that she had no clue how to find was a problem

Re: A Doctor,a Neromancer,& a Brobdingnag walk Into a Bar(D
Snow was falling softly as the big killer wandered the streets of Westwall. Silently he drifted through the shadows. Snow had finally become an asset, now that he was impervious to the cold. It deadened the sound of his New Rocks on the concrete, and as it settled on his stetson and shoulders, it provided a camouflage of sorts. The layers of white on his monochromatic ensemble broke up his outline, blending him with his background. The best part of it was that it quickly covered up bodies....preserving them so that the smell of rot and decay did not seep out of the alleys where his present prey loitered.
The last few weeks he had been busy with his own personal brand of "campaigning". He had embarked on a mission with his friend Prudence, that had resulted in the removal of Bancroft's campaign manager from his position...removal to a hospital for the duration of the elections. A small quirking of his lips as he slid into the next alley, stalking more prey, hinted at the pleasure he had felt at the completion of that mission. After that though, he had laid low using one of his other areas of expertise. Though many viewed those of the killer path, as big, dumb, lummox's with no other skills, Mordechai was a premier hacker. The last few weeks had been spent wandering the city quietly, connecting to the interwebz with his mind as he delved deep into archives, and systems that forbade access to the normal surfer. Night after night he had dredged up the closet skeletons of Bancroft and Spencer, sending them to the press hoping that the humans would do his dirty work for him on election day. Unfortunately the media at large had downplayed much of the news about Bancroft, allowing the puppet to coast to victory.
One good thing came from it all. One tidbit found buried deep with in secret files. That tidbit was the reason the massive killer was skulking through the alleyways of Westwall. He had been deep in the files of a Hebigumo system, one they had protected with numerous redundant firewalls and authorization traps, when he had found it. His hacking scripts had shown an average seclvl of twenty-one, and he had had to move carefully as he slipped through it node by node. Deep in the system he had found a report of an ancient relic. The information was sketchy, most of it probably guess-work, but it seemed a relic had been discovered that prevented bloodloss in vampires. The problem was, the relic was in the hands of one he viewed as the enemy... the blood thieves.
Such was the reason that even now he was sneaking up on a human and a fledgling. They thought the shadows hid them, as they bartered, the fledgling offering his lifeblood... for a mere pittance of what he could earn if he tried... the blood thief craving the high, and the strength, and the power, that he could only get with his next fix. His next fix of vampire blood. Mordechai stored away the scent and image of the fledgling he would deal with him later. For now there was only one thing on his mind. Slipping one massive paw around the blood thief's face, silencing him and drawing him back, as the other hand silently slid his fairbairn-sykes between ribs, puncturing a lung and letting the mans beating heart, shred itself on the twin razor sharp edges. It took a moment for the thief's body to catch up with what his mind knew, he was dead, but finally Mordechai lowered him to the fresh fallen snow, and searched him. Fifty dollars. No amulet. The killer straightened, stretching and cracking his neck as he did. That made six tonight, none had an amulet on them.
Six was enough he decided, and looking at the neon lights at the end of the alley, Mordechai decided to check in at his old place of employment, his sires club. Walking round the side, the male decided it would be better to slip trough the back, then wait in the line. He still had his master key, and knew the codes, from when he had worked security here. Pausing before he entered, he traced the clubs name with one long digit, 'Dark Eden'. Entering he started up towards the main bar, occasionally stopping to query the staff. It had been a long time since he had seen his sire, and one of them might have news. Finally arriving at the bar itself, he nodded to the tender on call, and held up two fingers. He was known by all the employees, and he knew that soon after he settled into his customary spot in the deep shadows at the end of the bar, two drinks would be set before him, in dark tinted rocks glasses. It wouldn't do for the humans with in to know that DE served blood on tap.

Re: A Doctor,a Neromancer,& a Brobdingnag walk Into a Bar(D
Mortll seethed sitting there... she had all sorts of things done to her. Most she just let them slide like ever who Weed walked the words 'I hate you ' In the greens at Jardin De Fleurs. Trapping the hall in front of her apartments and inside. There were people that seemed to not like her simply because ... they really didn't know her they assumed because she was outspoken as a reason for her to be bad . She looked back at Doc and dug her phone out of her purse and hit the auto dial and plugged one ear so she could hear.
Mortll was livid by the time she hung up the phone and deposited it back into her purse She looked around the bar wondering if anyone was watching her now . That is when she spotted him hiding at the end of the bar. She looked at Doc ... "Come with me please " She eased off the stool and made her way through the crowd and approached the large man " Mordie ... I am so glad you are here just the right person at the right time" She reached over and gave him a hug . "I have a huge problem ... I think you can help ... This is Doc ... if you haven't met yet Doc this is my friend Mordechai " She gestured for Doc to please come meet the man . "I hope you've kept up your mad hacking skills I think I need them. " She glanced back at Doc Then to Mordie .Mortll: Jareth
Jareth Archer: hmm?
Mortll: "I have a problem. Someone has either hacked my home computer or my security system."
Jareth Archer: "Oh joy!"
Mortll: "They sent my boyfriend a email with us ummm in a rather private moment ... Ill pay you extra to make sure my systems are clean .. Do you have the ability to check the place for bugs or that sort of thing ?
Jareth Archer:" Well, I have done this kind of work before. Let me get my gear and will begin"
Mortll: Good the area in front of the fireplace is deffinatly been filmed but it will be a good idea to check the pool and bedroom.
I dont know how im going to get it traced ... and find out whos done this **** . hopefully they just pranking and arent going to release it to the internet i really dont want a sex tape floating around out there."
Jareth Archer: "Oh my." *laughs a bit*" I could have a shirt made. 'I work for the leaked sex tape queen'
Mortll: " You must not like raises "
Jareth Archer: *smirks*" Well, I can tell you this much. only way to trace who is doing it is to leave whatever 'bugs' I find in place so someone way more talented than me could hook in and track where the feed is going." *looks over the area directly opposite the front of the fireplace*
Jareth Archer: "Now I could put a couple scramblers in. would play hell with your cell and wi fi conections, but it would keep any signals going out"
Mortll:" No no ... i can shut the computers down and cover the cams ... i just want to make sure there is nothing more there than what i have, or make sure they are pointed only at the door and cannot be turned."
Jareth Archer: *nods and begins to check closer*" Okay then. I can mark where they are when I find them. Of course, how did they get in here to begin with is another question?"
Mortll:" I dont know probably shadowed, but for the sake of my love life i need to make sure nothing else is getting out ... "
Jareth Archer:" And people want to know why I keep so low of a profile?" *sticks a small post it note above one hidden eye*" no one would waste time doing a trick like this to someone like me. Who the hell would care?"
Mortll: "It seems that even if i tried to keep a low profile things explode on me."
Jareth Archer : *shrugs as he finds another* "You are too well known and someone always has an axe to grind for one reason or another."

Re: A Doctor,a Neromancer,& a Brobdingnag walk Into a Bar(D
“Come with me please.” Mortll had said as she slid off her stood and started weaving her way through the crowd. She stopped in front of a person. Doc was politely maneuvering his way behind her stopping and then seeing nothing but black, until he lifted his gaze.. up and then further up. He was silent as Mortll spoke and then looked pointedly at him. To be honest, he hadn’t really caught everything that Mortll had said because he was thinking to himself, ‘who the **** is this..’ as he stared at the mountain in front of him. Doc was not easily cowed, but **** him, this guy was huge.
More out of politeness than desire, did Doc offered his hand to the mountain with the name of Mordechai. “Good to make your acquaintance.” He vaguely remembered her saying he had ‘mad hacking skills’. Doc was aghast. By Mordechai’s size and shape, Doc would have taken him for a shooter, with mad Killing skills. But then two years ago, Doc didn't believe in vampires either, what was one more revelation?
Doc was going to let Mortll take the lead in the conversation. It was, after all, her apartment. Her equipment, her problem. As much as he wanted to be able to deal with it for her, he recognized that she was not the type of woman to turn things over to a male. As much as he wanted to take that role, he appreciated that she could handle that role on her own without him. it was refreshing in a way. A woman that wasn’t clinging to him for an answer to everything; and yet she was still very much the woman that made it clear she wanted him to be with her.
This role particular role was new to him. Probably more new that it should have been. In a perfect world he should have been acquainted with this situation; but he wasn’t. The BnC had been clingy; she needed or.. should he say, she demanded his input on everything. The Spawns tended to be clingy to non-existent. So now, being faced with a female that took control, he really wasn't sure what his role was. He had followed her, prepared to take an offensive role should he need to. But then there was the Mordechai mountain. What the **** did Mortll need him for, with that ******* huge mountain around?
Doc looked from Mortll to Mordechai then back to Mortll. Well **** him. Doc was definitely feeling sadly inadequate and pathetically small in comparison. This was a new feeling for him. He could tell that the Mordechai mountain was a vampire; so any hint of an advantage he thought he might be able to glean, evaporated. It was a humbling experience.
“Nice to meet you Mordechai.” He nodded passively. He said it was nice.. but he lied.

Re: A Doctor,a Neromancer,& a Brobdingnag walk Into a Bar(D
Mordechai leaned back on his stool, sipping his drink as he scanned the crowd. It seemed to be a happy, peaceful crowd so far tonight. No Napoleons looking for a fight, no obnoxiously drunken slobs starring around, and for the most part, not to many women had lost clothes to the effects of Jose Cuervo. Even though he wasn't on the clock here anymore, the workers knew he would step in if a little extra muscle was needed. Or even if all that was needed was the intimidation factor of a mobile mountain made of corded muscle. As he finished his first and reached for the second, he reflected on the assault on his nostrils made by the one hundred different fragrances worn by the women that frequented Dark Eden. It was one thing he surely did not miss. Once more his eyes scanned the crowd looking for any sign of his sire. Nothing. Taking a sip of his 'drink' he considered whether she might be in the office, or hiding in the fort for some reason.
Setting his glass on the bar, he tipped his hat to the barmaid, then turned to leave, when he saw an old friend, Mortll, coming towards him out of the crowd. An old friend that looked like she was on the war path. The killer slipped from his stool as she arrived, giving him a welcoming hug that he awkwardly accepted. It was hard to let others into his 'space' to let them touch him, but he had notice that for some reason hugs seemed to calm and reassure others, so he allowed her. She introduced him to a male that had followed her through the crowd, 'Doc', obviously not his real name. Mordechai had know over fifty that went by the name 'Doc' when he had been a human, 'before'. Mixed into the introduction was a request for hacking skills. The killer nodded as he reached out a hand to Doc, "Yes, i still dabble."
'Doc' was a different story. It was evident from the way he looked between Mortll and Mordechai, that Doc was more than a 'friend' but that made little difference to the killer, her life was her life, he was but a friend of the female. Doc said it was nice meeting him...but some how the words didn't quite match his body language. Mordechai returned Doc's nod by tipping one finger on the front of his stetson, then slipped back onto his stool, letting himself lean back against the wall, camouflaging his size from the patrons at large. "Greetings" The killer sat silently for a moment absorbing the sounds of the bar before turning to Mortll and inquiring, "what is it you need hacked?" It was obvious she trusted the other male, or she would not have broached the subject in front of him.

She reached back and took Docs hand giving it a bit of a squeeze it was a trust me gesture " I apparently have a bug problem that requires your talents. She looked back at Doc then back to Mordie ... Someone has gotten a video out of my apartment. Jarreth Archer is sweeping it for bugs and Checking my cam feeds and the Computer ... Seeing what all has been breached ... But he said it would probably take someone with better skills than his to trace where the video was going or where ... She took a breath or where the Email was sent from . She looked back at Doc ... her gaze begging him to trust her on this one . " Doc do you mind showing Mordie the Email? ... Hes one of my oldest friends I trust him This wont go anywhere from him "
Mortll didn't know if Doc would want Mordie seeing the video ... He had never met the man and didn't know exactly how much of a friend Mordie had been to Mortll he was one person she could always rely on and was there any time she needed him. She had known him since he came to the city pretty much from the day he was turned . He was a big man then now he was just larger than life. She looked back and forth between the two men she had come to count on most.

Doc shrugged carelessly, it didn’t bother him. The only reason he waffled about showing it to her in the first place was that he was unsure of her reaction. If Mortll wanted to show this guy the video, fine by him. He pulled his cell phone back out, loaded the video and offered the phone to the mountain. He pressed his lips into a grim line. It was an unconscious action. he had just had a conversation about hacking with Ariadne earlier. It was rather ironic how the subject would come back to haunt him so quickly. He thought back to his comments, about what was the purpose of it all.. and well now he knew that answer. He knew it only too well.
“As I am sure you can tell. That is not the full video. That was all I received. There is more out there. I don’t know who sent it. I am not even if it was her security camera or her computer. The angle, I think” he looked at Mortll for her opinion, “looks to me, to be the security camera.” He grimaced again, “It is disturbing either way.. anything you can find out.. is greatly appreciated.”
There would be retribution. It would come when the guilty would least expect it. There would be no mercy. And no one would be spared. Doc was already plotting what he was going to do. When he knew who was behind it, he was going to systematically destroy them. He would start with their loved ones. One suspicious fatal accident after another. And he would be very careful to frame them for those accidents. To be done right, it would take months. To the casual observer it would look like such bad luck. But to law enforcement, they would automatically look at the family first. It would be especially poignant, if there were children. He would have to make sure, that each victim would have recently been insured.
His lips twisted into a faintly amused smirk as he contemplated the different aspects of his revenge. He caught Mortll giving him a look. Doc gave her a wink. “I more it is in good hands, if you trust him.” He turned his comments back to Mordechai, “Will you need the phone? Or just the email and file?”

Mordechai listened as the pair, for it had become obvious they were a pair, told their story. Catching the eye of the bartender he held up one finger, before turning back to the couple. " I do not require the video, simply your email address. The video has no bearing on what needs to be done" The killer had directed this to Doc, then pausing for a moment, as if considering his words, he continued to Mortll. "I will need to know the results of Jarreth's work. If they used your cam, or planted their own." Either way, it would allow for a two pronged attack against the errant hacker, one by email, one by the information feed. Emails were easy to make, and disposable. With the number of proxy servers and 'privacy' re-routers out there, not to mention those that like him could use their minds... the email address was likely a dead end. The video itself would offer nothing to the mission, and therefore held no interest to him.
The bartender slid another dark glass down the bar, stopping one inch from Mordechai's waiting hand, without spilling a drop. A wink and a nod was sent the killers way as he raised the the glass to his lips, taking a small sip. Belatedly he realize that what he had done was probably rude by some standards, he lowered his glass and quirked an eyebrow. "Would either of you like a non-alcoholic beverage?" he queried, as he tip his glass slightly allowing them to see the dark crimson contents, as he swirled the glass. His mind had already began plotting the first steps of this mission set before him, as his eyes roved once more over the growing crowd of partiers. Although they had become more boisterous as the alcohol flowed, lowering their human inhibitions, there was still no sign of upcoming trouble. Taking another sip, he let the contents swirl in his mouth before swallowing them down. Turning his attention back on the pair before him he considered them for a moment, obsidian eyes taking in their nearness to each other and the contact of their hands. It was quite similar to what his kennedy did when they were together, cementing in his mind that they were indeed what was called 'a couple'. Nodding his head slowly he reached to an inner pocket, removing a black business card and handing it to Doc, he clarified "midknight armaments is my primary business. If you have need to reach me, or come up with more information, that number is forwarded straight to me. No middle man"
