I Double Dog Dare You

Post by Klara »

Klara stepped back from the mirror looking at herself. She had not been like so many other women in the city and picked something sexy, she picked Elvis. The wig had been the hardest part, trying to find one that looked real but she had gotten it ordered and over knighted to her. She had the white outfit, cut low showing off her cleavage, the only thing that was sexy about her.

She grabbed the scarf and the bag of ice cream and made her way out the door. Klara was wanting to go with Simon but it was getting late and he was not home yet. She pulled her phone out taking a picture to send to her husband then left their apartment and began to walk. So many buildings but she wanted someplace where a lot of people had gathered. Walking past the West Towers she stopped and smiled.

The elevator took her up to the top, she went through the door taking the last of the trip on foot to the room. She had run across a few people, she laughed at their reactions to her outfit. She pulled the ice cream from the back and the 10 scoopers and filled them. She yelled “Fire in the hole” and let the ice cream fly. She giggled as she watched it hit the pavement, some hit people. She reloaded and did it again and again until there was no more ice cream left.

Klara shook her head and yelled down “Sorry, it was a dare. I hope some of ya got to enjoy the ice cream!” She meant every word of it. She looked at her phone then took a picture and quickly sending it to Simon when she realized he was at the auction. Her heart caught realizing it was over. “Damn” she whispered angry that she didn’t have the money to buy him.

She sighed as she packed her supplies back up, threw the cartons away that had held the ice cream and went home. Klara sat in the dark at home, wishing she could have shared this night with her husband, now it didn’t matter. She took the wig off and threw it on the floor, laying on the couch she cried herself to sleep.
