Victor Needs Blood [Closed]

Post by Jesse Fforde »

--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--
Jesse Fforde: [Text] Victor needs blood. We've tried to do it by ritual but it's not working. Where is he?

Kenlie: [Text] He's asleep in my room. I can get you inside after I let my sister know you aren't a stranger, if you want.

Jesse Fforde: [Text] That would be good, thank you.

Kenlie: [Text] You have a way to get out afterward? We're on the third floor and you can't use the elevator.

Kenlie: [Text] I'll have Dom fix that later.

Jesse Fforde: [Text] I have a tome, yes. I'll be fine.

Kenlie: [Text] Alright. Incoming. Don't judge the bed.

Kenlie: *Had put on a baggy Jack Daniels shirt and some basketball shorts. Victor, on the other hand, was still in his boxers and covered up with the Mickey Mouse comforter. Once Jesse was summoned, she moved out of his way.* I'll be in the kitchen...

Jesse Fforde: *Snorts at the bedspread but doesn't say anything.* Thanks, Kenny...

Kenlie: No problem. *Smiled a little, then padded out, barefoot, through the living room and into her little 'kitchen' area (which was actually a bar).*

Jesse Fforde: *Frowned down at the sleeping Victor and laid a hand on the man's shoulder; he focused for a little while, making sure that his progeny had all that he needed. Once done, he followed Kenlie out to the kitchen.* I hope you don't judge all of Andras badly for this. They are not all like this...

Kenlie: *She'd been standing over the sink, a pint glass full of cooled blood in her hand. The stub that was her arm was still trying to grow back, but it'd be a few days. Thankfully, her eye was fully healed, and everything else was basically just a scar at this point. When she heard Jesse's footsteps, she swallowed her mouthful and licked her lips clean before offering a smile.* Andras is your family, then? Nah... It was three people. Three people I wish to maim very badly... but it's not my issue, especially if it's been handled. --Point is, I won't judge a group because of a few of its members.

Jesse Fforde: *Jesse stands, leaning with his hip against the countertop, his arms crossed over his chest* I want to maim them too. But I'm resisting, at this point, for the sake of civility. This has all come about because of Micah and his attitude, and I respect that man. I do, but lately? *He shakes his head* Something's not right.

Kenlie: *Kenny's 'brows furrowed as she tried to piece the puzzle together. Victor had mentioned a Micah earlier - clearly, he was a family member. A brother, maybe? All she knew about that one was that he owned Masterpiece.* Mm... Talk to him, would be my suggestion. Even if he doesn't want to talk, be there. *She paused, then grabbed another glass, and another blood pack. She tried to use the scissors she had on the counter to cut it open, but with one hand to do everything with, that was a moot attempt. Eventually, she gave up and used her fangs. She spat out the bit of plastic that had gotten stuck in her mouth, then poured the blood into the empty glass.* Dominique does this thing, when she's going through ****. Doesn't like me to see her weak.

Kenlie: So she holds everything that's upsetting her inside, until it expands and expands... and then it eventually blows up. Independents do that. I do it. *Set the glass down in front of Jesse.* But it helps when someone close understands it.

Jesse Fforde: *Jesse snorts. He does the same thing. He doesn't like to appear weak - but that explosive anger is a weakness, too. One that he himself struggles to maintain.* No. He needs his space. If I approach him now I'll get nothing out of him but a bullet to the head. He's stubborn, and I'm stubborn. We clash a lot. *He had been watching her struggle with the blood bag. His own mouth watered - but then, it always did. So he ignored it.* I've let him know how I feel about the entire situation and when he's ready, he can come to me. For now? I'm going to stick by my progeny - and there are others who have stuck by him, too. I didn't even ask.

Kenlie: *Pushed the glass a little closer, so Jesse knew it was for him, then returned to sipping at her own. She was focusing on pacing herself - slow, steady, as a way of learning to control the hunger. So far, it was a son of a *****. But it helped. Kenlie lifted her head to look into Jesse's eyes, then smiled again. To know that Victor had people around him who cared like that, and not just her - it made her feel at peace. Happy.* He's a really good man. He deserves that... *She paused.* You're good to him, too. I can tell.

Jesse Fforde: *Jesse arches a brow at the glass and nods his thanks. His fingers close around it but he doesn't bring it to his lips. Not yet. If he does, he'll drain the whole thing in one go. It's hardly appealing.* Of course I am. I brought him into this world. He's one of mine, now. I do not take kindly to people attacking one of mine for no good ******* reason.

Kenlie: Nn... I think I know what you mean. *Without realizing it, she quickly tipped her glass back to drain the rest of the contents down her throat. With a loud gulp, she set her glass in the sink and rinsed it out in the faucet, before running a hand through her loose brown curls. Victor might not be her childe, of course - but she was his. In a way, that must have meant that he was hers, too.* I care about him very much. I was ready to cut off their heads. One arm or not.

Kenlie: *Turned around to rest her spine against the counter and pursed her lips in thought.* You should probably have a set of keys to this place, and the elevator. Vic spends a lot of time here lately... So it'd only make sense, you being his sire.

Jesse Fforde: *Jesse shrugged, and glanced around.* So long as he's got somewhere safe to go to - I'm in the process of renovating our own little Haven. He'll have that option, too. And now I know I should hurry the **** up and get it done. Velveteen has said that if any of mine need protection I can summon them to the Eyrie - but Tytonidae is half Andras and I doubt Victor will have felt safe there. Larch Court is my only other option. I need to get it up and running.

Kenlie: Like I said... you're welcome here. And if any of your other childer ever need a safe place... *She looked at him, locking her gaze with his.* I know we don't know each other yet, but--this place, Vita Bella... It's neutral ground. We have a no tolerance policy for violence here, and we protect those we love to the death.

Kenlie: Even if it's just until you get your home up and running. *She shrugged, then scratched the side of her head.*

Jesse Fforde: Thank you for the offer. I'll keep it in mind. *Jesse says as he lifts the glass of blood in a salute, and brings it to his lips. He does drain the glass, but he focuses to make sure that he does it slowly, without spillage. The Adam's Apple bobs in his throat until he is done, and he replaces the glass on the countertop.*

Kenlie: *Gave a short nod as she finally found a seat on one of the nearby stools. Kenlie slumped herself over the counter, elbow propped up on its surface, her hin in her palm.* I dug the bullet out of his chest a little while ago... patched up Stubby. *She frowned lightly and chewed on the inside of her cheek while she kept silent for a few seconds.* The isse is handled, right? They won't be coming after him like that again?

Jesse Fforde: *Jesse nods and stays standing, his arms crossed again over his chest.* The issue is handled. No orders were given for this attack and as soon as Micah knew what was happening he ordered that it immediately desist - no attacks on family members, from either side. Everyone's been told to calm the **** down and sort this **** out like adults. Like it should have been to begin with.

Kenlie: Good...

Kenlie: *Rubbed at her eyes, one at a time.* I won't do anything. They won't be permitted inside of the bar again, though.

Jesse Fforde: *Jesse laughed, then. Not really a mirthful laugh, but one of bemusement.* I have one junkie progeny who could have made himself a nuisance, and an extended family whose presence is denied at Handle Bar. If I weren't so ******* furious, it might be funny. I suppose you think Victor makes up for it though, eh? *He asks, flicking his head in the direction of the bedroom, that characteristic mischievous gleam in his eye managing to peak through, just a little.*

Kenlie: *Gave a close-mouthed laugh, her own eyes lighting up with amusement. She shook her head and then followed Jesse's gaze to the bedroom, where her eyes took on a gentler look.* He's special, that's all.

Kenlie: And strong as hell to boot.

Jesse Fforde: 'Special', huh? *He says, creating inverted commas in the air with his fingers.* I'll make sure to let him know you think he's special. *He says with a smirk.* And I can bet you I'm stronger. I may look spindly and weak but you shouldn't judge a book by its looks.

Kenlie: *Laughed out loud, then.* I'm not talking about his dick. That gutter mind must be an inheritance. *Kenny grinned, then shook her head.* I don't mean physically strong. And I have no doubt.

Kenlie: I know all about people underestimating someone's power.

Kenlie: Trust me.

Jesse Fforde: "I wasn't talking about his dick, either. Now I know what you were really thinking," he says after a snort.

--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--
Victor: He had decided to take a nap while Kenlie did whatever she was doing during the those mid hours of night. Their morning was filled with pain and suffering and he wanted to have some part of this night that wasn't crappy. So the nap. He grunted as he shifted awake, coughing as the sleep was shaken away. "Babe? I feel less like hell. What did you do?"0

Jesse Fforde: He still stood leaning against the kitchen counter, arms crossed over his chest; the conversation with Kenny had now turned into something slightly amusing, and it was helping to boost his foul mood. Just a tiny bit. Being a vampire, and with heightened senses, it wasn't hard to notice that Victor was stirring, even if he couldn't be seen. He could be heard. When he called out - obviously talking to Kenny - Jesse couldn't help but cut in before Kenny could respond. "Gave you some special love while you were sleeping, Babe. I'm chuffed that you enjoyed it," he called out in his characteristic husk of a voice.

Kenlie: She turned her gaze back to the bedroom, but when Jesse jumped in before she could respond she ended up giving a loud, shoulder-shaking laugh. "Morning, sleepyhead. We're in the kitchen," she called out, before sliding down off her stool to fetch another clean glass. She repeated the process she'd already gone through twice - grabbing a blood pack, tearing it open with her teeth, and pouring it. “Crutches are by the bed.”

Victor: He just listening to Jesse speak made him fear for society. He tried not to facepalm and roll his eyes, but instead, just went with it. Serves him right. "You're the best, babe...too bad you left, you could have gotten a reach around when I woke up." There was some shuffling from the bedroom and the thud pad of crutches followed by a bare foot. He emerged from the room and looked around, spotting the two over in the kitchen area. He smelled the blood and his stomach growled. "****, I'm hungry." Speaking hurt his chest but **** it.

Jesse Fforde: He just smirks as Victor emerges, crutches and all. He still looks like he could do some damage, regardless. "Maybe next time, Babe. I'll stick around a little longer," he replies. He even gives a wink. No, Jesse had never swung for the other team. He'd never even experimented - but he's comfortable enough in his ego to play around. He shuffles back a little to give Victor full access to the bar and the blood that Kenlie is preparing for him.

Kenlie: She, still grinning in amusement, bit her lower lip and shook her head while she set the glass of blood down and reached down to pull out a stool for him. As Jesse moved out of the way, she moved to meet the larger of the men halfway, so he could lean on her if need be. She wouldn't press the help, though - she of all people knew how helpless it felt to be that wounded. "You two really are terrible."

Victor: He grinned a little as he entered the kitchen. Shoulder hit the doorway and knocked him off balance for a moment. He still didn't feel right, like something was screwing with his head. "How'd I get so lucky with you, Jesse? Great in the streets and in the sheets." He couldn't help but grunt again as Kenlie came up and put an arm around him. With the way he was feeling, he didn't mind at all depending on her for stability. "Don't be jealous of our love, Kenlie..."

Jesse Fforde: He levels Kenlie with what he hopes to be a very serious look. "It's something no one else could ever experience, our love. It transcends reality...you can have his body but I'll always have his heart..." he explains, thumping a closed fist over the area of his chest where his heart might once have beat.

--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--
Kenlie: She slowly and steadily led Victor over to his seat, where she helped him ease onto the stool. Once he was sitting, she took his crutches and leaned them against the wall, then slid his glass over to him. "Drink up," she told him, before meeting Jesse's very, very sincere gaze. Even still, she couldn't help but crack a permanently fanged grin. "Well, so long as I get to watch the ball game..."

Kenlie: She paused for a moment, then repeated herself. “Ball game…” After another moment, she shook her head. “Too far.”

Victor: He groaned and laughed, shaking his head at her. He took his glass of blood and emptied the contents into his currently angry stomach. The glass returned to the table with a tink and he wiped his mouth. "That was terrible, monster."

Jesse Fforde: He arches a brow. He could keep going, but some jokes have their time in the limelight, and then they get stale. He swallows - why he ever thinks that the single reflex will soothe his throat, he doesn't know, but he does it anyway. "I don't know if you've seen the board, man, but no one's going to be coming after you," he says, just to reassure Victor that he doesn't have to have his guard up when he decides to go out next.

Kenlie: She shook her head again, this time at herself. "It was. My bad." She took the pint glass once it was empty, only to tear open yet another plastic pack of blood and refill it. She slid it back over to him, then glanced to Jesse. "More?"

Victor: He looked up to Jesse as he took the newly filled glass in hand. He almost dropped it and it clanked hard onto the table. "I haven't seen ****, bro..trying not to think about it. I don't know what's going on or being said outside of Kenlie's bed. For a while, I'd like to keep it that way. At least until my chest is better. Szabina sent me a message in my head and I don't trust her."

Jesse Fforde: He lifts a hand to stop Kenlie, and shakes his head. "I could, but I'm never satisfied. I'd deplete your stocks," he says with a mild grin. He then turns back to Victor. "I never did like that ****. I don't trust her either - steer clear," Jesse says. "Karina sent you a message too, I think - she tried to help by doing a ritual to restore your lost blood, but it didn't work," he says.

Kenlie: She nodded her understanding and put his glass in the sink, then. At the mention of Szabina, though, her demeanor changed instantly. Her 'brows furrowed, her lips curled into a snarl and she very nearly growled. "She was in The Order with me. Very briefly. No one ******* liked her then, either."

Victor: He nodded and drank down half the contents of his glass. "Yeah..I heard some other voice in there while I was sleeping. Didn't know who it was or if it was a dream. I'll have to stop by and say thank you for her trying. Kenlie had to do surgery on me last night...held open my own chest with nail files." Shook his head, look on his face incredulous at what he was saying and both exhausted at the thought of it all again. He looked over to Ken. "Baby...could you grab me a shirt, please?" He didn't want her to hear what he had to say to Jesse.

Jesse Fforde: He nods. "Good. I think she'll be happy to know you got her message," he says. He then smiles, that particular gleam in his eye that Victor no doubt witnessed the night he was sired. The obsessive love for what he is - regardless of how much he now loathes the woman who had brought him here. ******* Phoenix. "Yeah - it's pretty fuckin' fascinating, the **** we're capable of dealing with," he says.

Kenlie: She nodded her head quickly, and pushed herself away from the counter. "Gotta go upstairs to get it." She crossed the room to get to the elevator, waited for the doors to open, and then stepped inside. With a ding, the doors closed behind her.

Kenlie: She could have used the stairs, but wasn't entirely sure whether or not Dom had trapped them after last night's events...

Victor: He smiled after Kenlie until she disappeared behind stainless steel doors. The smile dropped and he turned to look at Jesse. "Honestly, I don't trust Szabina to not come after me. And I kind of wish she would. I don't care that she did something to me, man...but Kenlie was there. She could have gotten caught up in the crossfire by accident. I can't forgive that."

Jesse Fforde: He all semblance of amusement and jokes dropped from Jesse's demeanour as Victor spoke. "That's fine, Victor. If she does come after you then retaliate as you wish - and you can call me, and I will sure as hell help. But do not go searching for her. Yeah? This is being dealt with."

Victor: “I swear on our blood I won't go looking for a fight, but if she starts any kind of nonsense, I can't promise I won't deal with it with all I have. It might not be a lot, but it's the principle that matters.”

Victor: He pursed his lips and finished his drink. "I'd like you to help me become the bigger target.”

Jesse Fforde: "If she does come after you she'll be directly defying Micah's orders. It won't end well for her. If she does come after you, I will help to defend you and I give no shits for the consequences. But what the **** do you mean, 'help you to become the bigger target?"

Victor: “I want to be the one they come after first if they come at me and Ken for any reason in the future. Anyone. I want to be much stronger. I want to be your powerhouse.”

Victor: “But the way I'm doing things...taking too ******* long.”

Jesse Fforde: "Ah. I can help you with that. Whatever you need. I'll organise a Fforde fight night, soon - we'll spar. It'll be a training exercise masquerading as a social gathering," he says with a grin. "For now, I left a wanton woman at home waiting for me. Better to let your leg grow back before we throw you on the spit," he adds. He pushes away from the bar and shoves his hand in his pocket, searching for his tome. He shows it to Victor. "I'll be making you one of these soon, too - you just need to read the inscription and it'll take you straight to Larch Court, which I intend to turn into a safe house," he says.

Victor: He nodded and held his hand out to Jesse. "Thank you, bro..I hope I didn't put you in any kind of **** with all of this."

Jesse Fforde: He gives a shrug of his shoulders. "I was already in ****, man. Would be nowhere else," he says. No matter how loyal he is to Micah and Andras, he wasn't going to pretend like none of this bothered him. He took Victor's hand. "Thank Kenny for me. I'll consider her offer," he says.

Victor: He gripped the hand firmly and shook it. Sign of respect. "I'll do that. Go home...or you'll get hives from the hippy human **** here."

Jesse Fforde: He arches a brow. He'll have to ask Victor more about that later. "Going, going. Call me if you need me," he says, before focusing on the tome and disappearing from in front of Victor, like dust dispersing in the non-existent wind.
