UPDATE: Keyboard Movement (stage 2) & Javascript Actions
Posted: 19 Sep 2014, 19:10
(Apologies for the bugs surrounding this update. I'm programming new things fast and will be fixing the urgent bugs tonight and tomorrow.)
Keyboard movement is now fully functional. Here's an overview:
QWEADZXC keys: Move in all directions (alternatively, numpad also works)
Up, down, left, right: Move horizontal and vertical
S / Enter / Num5: Enter / exit a building
F: Fight an NPC enemy (first enemy listed)
G: Get (pickup) an item on the floor
H: Feed
P: Pick pockets of humans in the area
R: Refresh the grid to show changes
I: inventory screen
M: More commands screen
U: Use powers screen
T: Battle tactics screen
Additionally, stealing, skirmishing, battling, picking pockets, feeding and looting all now work using javascript and ajax. This means that they should generally load a bit faster, and won't refresh the page like they would before. This also means that after fighting enemies and getting a full report, you can press a movement key or the refresh button to switch back to the grid view.
As I said, this update has caused a good deal of bugs, which I'll be fixing ASAP. We're trying to get things ready for the end of beta and bugs are one of the last things we'll tackle en masse, but some of these bugs are quite urgent and will as such be fixed very shortly. Thanks for you understanding. :)
