Raid Ramblings

Post by Jonah »

"--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--"
Jonah: Jonah was in the sewers when Char's message came through to him. He hated that he could not communicate with her so easily. She would send him these messages when she was in need but there was never any guarantee that he could get ahold of her as easily. His phone was quickly in his hands and dialed her number, hoping she would pick up.

Charlotte Ruse: She was close to passing out with not only the amount of blood she'd lost, but also the sight of it. She'd been rambling unbeknownst to her on CN, using technokinesis, and now her phone was going off. Her mind connected to it, answering it and she could only hope it was him as she managed to say his name.... "Jonah!" It was weak, almost whispered, and then she'd passed out with less than a pint of blood in her body. However, her phone was still on and the noise of the raid could be heard in the background, with security guards standing around her, discussing what to do with her.

Jonah: "Char, what's wrong?" He heard her voice for a moment before it was interrupted by voices. His ears strained to pick up what they were saying but he managed to figure out that they were guards and that she had broken in to some place. Letting the line go dead, he checked the family CrowNet for any sign of where she was and realized that another fae business had been found. The address posted by her, he ran as quickly as he could to the building.

Charlotte Ruse: Two guards had her by the wrists and ankles and had lifted her up, carrying her off to an office, or a quiet room to question her and get some information from her when she awoke. They could see from her wounds that she wasn't very strong and they'd worked her over well - so they weren't afraid of her and knew that when they were done, they could simply dispatch of her. And they were laughing about it, all while calling her names and talking about how pathetic she was.

Jonah: With hammer in one hand and gun in the other, Jonah's shoulder connected with the front door and sent it flying off of its hinges. Notte was at his side, her long legs allowing her to keep up easily with the killer. "What is wrong Hammer?" "We need to find her." Notte paused for a moment and considered resisting the request for help but chose not to this time. She leisurely drifted off in a different direction from her master to cover more ground.

Charlotte Ruse: She was tossed in a corner as if she were a wet rag, arms and legs limply landing in a most uncomfortable position. "Well, she's a bit of a looker! Bet we can have some fun with her while questioning!" "Ha! Yeh! We'll make her squeal one way or another!" They were laughing crudely as they closed the door, locking it behind them - as there was a large crash of the door coming in that they ran to see what was going on. "OI! WHAT THE HELL MATE?!

Charlotte Ruse: "Well ****!" One of them said as he saw his friend get cut down,as well as a number of colleagues. He frowned and snarled calling out of the noise of the gun. "WE HAVE ONE OF YOUR KIND! STOP NOW, OR SHE WILL NEVER BE SEEN AGAIN!"
Jonah: The gun was levelled at the one speaking and without waiting, he pulled the trigger and gunned him down as well.

Charlotte Ruse: "Shi..." He didn't finish the thought as he died, though he died knowing she was hidden away behind a large metal door and would die with the wounds she had if not found.

Jonah: Notte moved quickly through the building, staying hidden from the guards on this floor. Eventually, she found a heavy metal door and passed through it. The Hammer's companion was surrounded by men with weapons and she knew that she could do nothing about it. Floating silently towards the girl, she put her lips near her ear. "He is coming."

Charlotte Ruse: Charlotte was out cold, bullets riddled her body that seemed paler than usual and withered - almost all her blood drained from the wounds. So she knew nothing of what was going on around her.

Jonah: The wraith smiled. "It is good that you're not trying to get away this time. I knew that you would be comforted by this knowledge. The Hammer cares for you and will not leave you."

Charlotte Ruse: Still out cold, there was no response as she lay there, though she did groan softly as a guard decided to press on one of her wounds to check she was still alive.

Jonah: Assured that the girl was ok, she drifted back to Jonah who was running in the wrong direction. "This way!" She called. He skidded to a halt and looked back at her. "Is she safe?" "If you hurry," was her reply. Running after her, they were soon at the metal door and the heavy metal hammer began to slam in to ti.

Charlotte Ruse: The guards around her took up position, guns levelled at the door while one knelt behind her and pulled her up to shield himself, gun to her head, waiting.

Jonah: The beating stopped for a moment and shuffling could be heard outside the door, followed by heavey footsteps walking away. The silence drug on for a few moments before the click of the lock could be heard and the door opened outward.

Charlotte Ruse: The guards all shuffled their positions, making sure eyes were lined down the sights, butts were against shoulders and resolves were steeled. Whatever was on the other side of the door - as soon as it was in view - would get it from 5 barrels, the sixth aimed at Charlotte's head still.

Jonah: A wailing banshee whirled through the room, screaming as it attacked each of the guards in turn. A fae of sound and air blinding and deafening all in the room.

Charlotte Ruse: Fingers pulled on triggers, guns went off, flashes and bangs echoed everywhere - a couple more bullets ricocheting into Charlotte's body, making her cry out automatically. The guards lay dead as the sidhe vanished to nothing - all except the one who was now shaking behind Charlotte, gun still held to her head as he waited to see what would come next through the hell door

Jonah: Jonah moved faster than the human could imagine and was through the door, his gun levelled at the guard's head and a burst of bullets were flying out towards him. His long legs ate the distance between the door and Charlotte and he held her close to him.

Charlotte Ruse: The guard didn't stand a chance as he collapsed, dropping Charlotte. However, before she could fall, Jonah had her in his arms tight, safe. Unfortunately, she was too weak to move, toodrained to come too - and so knew none of what had happened.

Jonah: Caressing her face, Notte hovered over them both, frowning. He whispered to her. "It's ok, I've got you."

"--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--"

Charlotte Ruse: A tiny groan came from her throat, her cracked and parched lips moving - but no sound could be heard. However, she managed to project her words into his head, so very weakly. "So..... weak. So.... sorry. I.. am... useless.... I... am.... dying!"

Jonah: "No you're not," he whispered as he held her. "You're going to be fine."15:49:06 Charlotte Ruse: Her lips cracked as they moved, trying to smile at him, and as her tongue ran over them, you could see there was no moisture in her mouth and her tongue too was shrivelled. Her eyes kept on rolling back in her head as she threatened to pass out again.

Charlotte Ruse: She gasped, crying out in pain and fear as he stabbed her - but she was too weak to actually struggle and try to escape.

Jonah: Blood bubbled in to her and he focused on giving her the sustenance she needed. "See, it's going to be fine."

Charlotte Ruse: Strangely, she began to feel a bit better, a bit more herself, a bit more whole. Her eyes looked down at her arm and she frowned, glad there was no blood in sight, and then looked back at him, whispering. "What.... what.... are you doing? You.... stabbed me!"

Jonah: "Healing you." The answer was simple like he expected her to already know

Charlotte Ruse: "Oh." Her mind couldn't comprehend it, but her hand wrapped around his arm and all but clung to him tightly, never wanting to let him go.16:10:08 Jonah: When he had healed her as best he could, he slipped his nails from her arm and shifted her to a more comfortable position. "What are you doing here Char?"

Charlotte Ruse: She curled into him, her fingers wrapping in his shirt on his chest and the other looped around his waist, holding herself to him tightly. "I was trying to help, to get a key. But... they... there were so many. And they're so strong, so fast. I... I'm, sorry I worried you and got caught"

Jonah: "You're fine. You're safe now."

Charlotte Ruse: "I'm always safe with you"

Jonah: He caressed her hair and looked around the room, wondering how best to get them out of there. "Char, I think we need to leave."

Charlotte Ruse: She nodded her head. "I'm good for nothing, I just want to go home. Please."

Jonah: He stood and cradled her. "We can talk about your bracelet, figure out what it is?"

Charlotte Ruse: "You already looked at it, didn't know what it was. Remember? That's why I asked on the forum"

Jonah: He sighed, deflated slightly. "I just thought we could try together. Never mind."

Charlotte Ruse: "You're welcome to try" She said in a small voice

Jonah: Poking his head out of the door, he saw that the hall was empty and let his long legs eat up the distance to the door. Moving quickly, they were outside in no time and he breathed easier knowing that she was safer, if only slightly.

Charlotte Ruse: She didn't say anything, just held onto him and enjoyed being so close and feeling so safe - while kicking herself for being so stupid

Jonah: The image of a man as huge as Jonah carrying a frail being was uncommon but they managed to not draw too many stares when the eventually got to the Asylum. Walking up to his room, he sat her on the bed. "What can I get you?"

Charlotte Ruse: She shook her head, moving tentatively further onto the bed. "Nothing. I'm fine. Thanks."

Jonah: She shied away from him and he nodded, thinking that he had upset her with the violence he had performed trying to get to her. "I guess I'll be in the other room if you need anything."

Charlotte Ruse: "What!" He stared at him, beginning to panic. "Why?"

Jonah: He gestured at the space between them that had formed when she'd moved away. "I didn't think you wanted me close to you."

Charlotte Ruse: "No. God no! I was making space for you, getting comfy. Not moving away!" She sighed, reaching out to him with her hand that shook with the effort. "Jonah, we live together. Why would.... why would I want you anywhere but by me?"

Jonah: He took her hand and sat on the edge of the bed. "I hurt people today and I know you don't like that."

Charlotte Ruse: "You did more than hurt them, but, what they were going.... going to do. To me?" A shudder ran through her physically and her hand tightened on his

Jonah: "It doesn't matter. They can't do anything to you now." He moved further on to the bed and held her tight to him.

Charlotte Ruse: She snuggled into him, relaxing again now it seemed he wasn't going to leave her.

Charlotte Ruse: "Oh!" She said, struggling away from him to get off the bed and weakly wobble across the room. There were a couple of moments when she thought she was going to pass out, but she managed to get over to the bag and back with it, a big grin on her face as she set it into his lap and then collapsed beside him again. "I made these. They're the best I've managed so far - but I'm working on it. If you ever find any spare guns or swords, pass them over and I'll have a play"

Jonah: He looked at her with concern obvious on his face but let her toddle along. When she dropped the bag in his lap, he tried to keep an eye on her as he shifted through it. The weapons she had made were interesting and while not the best he had ever seen, did have the signs that she could make something exceptional. "When did you start making these?"

Charlotte Ruse: "Couple of days ago. So still learning. But when you pull them all apart, they're really simple things on the whole to get your head around. So there's some errors with those, but - practice makes perfect right?"

Jonah: "I don't think I could do it at all so I'm impressed." He placed a kiss on the top of her head. "And I look forward to seeing what you do from here."

Charlotte Ruse: "Well, you bring me weapons to pull apart - we'll see what we can do." She smiled, leaning against him with a yawn. "I get the feeling, that the better the guns are I pull apart, the better I can make them. These were put together with parts from guns I found on the ground."

Jonah: Caressing her side, he frowned. "I'm sorry I didn't know sooner. I've been selling most of my stuff on the auction."

Charlotte Ruse: "It's ok." She smiled, her hand on his thigh. "I only wondered the other day and pulled apart my first gun. I didn't want to say anything until I'd worked out if I was capable of actually putting one together again. I've got a whole stack of swords in another bag that I'm holding onto, wondering if I can do anything with them too"

Jonah: "I bet you can."

Charlotte Ruse: "We'll see. But just now - I think I need to sleep. Do, you mind? If I sleep?"

Jonah: "That's fine. I'll be right here."

Charlotte Ruse: She nodded and smiled, delicately lying herself down to sleep - but holding his hand all the while.
