Last minute impact thread!

I'm looking for a team of sorts to put together for a last minute impact thread. David has already approved the idea, I'm just looking for people to help atm.

I'm not sure what side Liz is on atm. She's pretty split between Bancroft (with the idea the crow has thralled the guy) and Gilbert (because it's a human and easy to get rid of if they suck). Eventually she will decide, I'm just not sure on who yet.

Anywho, I'm looking for:

1. people who want to do some breaking and entering prior to the night of elections on where voting machines are being held at (we have electronic ones in the us, pretty sure everyone does by now), and want to help Liz sway things either in the decision Liz wants to or, heck even pretend to, to liz's face want to and sway things in who they want to win. these people need machinesis and techno powers.
2. Fighty people, because I'm sure there are security guards guarding this crap. they even guard school supplies in warehouses. ><

No, this will not make elections a land-slide, by any means. That would make for a recount and stuff and that just won't do. however, turning one of every 4 machines to be registered for bancroft or gilbert wouldn't be all that obvious, right? Remember, voting goes by districts and say, each district has 10 machines, that's only 2 of 10, so enough to make some impact, but not a whole heck of a lot without being suspicious.

Night of elections:
Those people with machinesis and techno to keep tabs on the results and make sure their choice is making some solid, positive progress. If not, up the anti and add another machine or two per district to always vote for Bancroft or Gilbert, in hopes they will just barely win.

Anyone interested?

Possibly depending on the outcome of the information Madison obtains about the candidates since she's undecided as of yet.

One question just springs to my mind immediately.

What if someone else had this same idea as Liz, however, was unaware of Liz's idea or intent. Would that character, and therefore the player, be refused to write a similar impact thread if it turned out they were voting for the same person?

As you mentioned, it would sway the votes too far in favour. It sounds rather iffy to me, but I imagine that if both impact threads were allowed to go ahead unaltered, they would cancel one another out, resulting in a waste of time and effort. There would be no other option but for the votes to be cast again. This could be a great idea as a delays tactic, I would think.

As per your request for RP... I'm curious, I'm slowly leaning toward getting involved in some shape or form, but I'm not fully swayed just yet. There's still so many questions and unknowns to factor, some of which lay with the Chapter itself and some of which rests upon the shoulders of myself for not having my characters' options fully developed.

Well, I figured that what could happen is either:
Write in same thread, either pretending to be on page with liz, or go around hours before her and her team, or even minutes before hand and try and do what she's doing with her team.
Or write your own thread with your own team, which may or may not cross cancel each other out. The more people who join, the bigger the impact, remember (I think that's what david said >< ). So, if you have ten people and I have 5, your impact would be greater than mine/liz's.

Make sense?

If it's the same candidate, then it mght result in a landslide, which would be suss, potentially. That's up to david to decide.

I'm a maybe. Without knowing what's going to be going on next November irl, no way to know if I'd be able to do a last minute thread this far ahead of time... and be able to get my share of the posts in. But so long as nothing gets in the way I'd be happy to join.

I see.

*rubs imaginary beard* Yes, this is all very interesting.

I do like how these ideas can be branched out and it's certainly catching my attention.

The only element that is providing a very real problem is as Alexandrea put it, the IRL scenario of being actually able to show up. :| (You'll note that I'm not very good at that)

Yeah, I know. However, I think the few of us who sign up for part one could essentially start rping it out now, save to word and post it up on, say, Nov 5th or whatever.

The real last minute part would be phase 2.
