Lugosi for Mayor?

Hagen von Drol just had a look at the candidates for mayor and found none of them satisfying.
Is it still possible to register a candidate? If yes Lugosi would like to join the race.
I know he most likely would have much of a chance to win the election. But he'd really like to run. Will start collecting signatures straight if they are needed to register.

I had asked this question regarding thralls. I know that character's thralls aren't allowed to run

But Characters are? Were? What?

No, we decided that it'd be better if it was an NPC only race. You can roleplay your character running, if you wish (though it'd be hard for vamps, because most go comatose during the day), but because we're so late in the campaign process already, you wouldn't actually win.

It would have been crazy-interesting to have a race between characters instead of faceless NPCs, but meh.
Hopefully next time.

I agree, and that was the initial plan. But we thought about it very carefully, weighed up the long-term consequences, the popularity vote factor, and so on, and we realised it wouldn't end well.

Approve.

I worry that this fear of the "popularity vote" is going to prevent us from ever having a really interesting competition. At some point, we might have to try to swallow it on something relatively unimportant and see how badly it turns out. Seems unavoidable.

Yeah, no doubt.
