Her time had been up for about a day when Wolffyn finally came out of the Shadow Realm and made her way back home to the Lunar Lake Estate. She slipped in quietly, hidden in shadows and checked to see who all was in the house before she let herself relax.
The redhead took a shower and got into some sweats before heading back down stairs, only Odin was home but he seemed to be resting in front of the television. Winnie had been well looked after in Wolffyn's absence but acted like she had been staved, demanding food, love and playtime all at the same time.
The small dog's needs were met and the two settled on the couch next to Sethos. For once Serenity's demonic dog didn't automatically try to attack Wolffyn and the redhead didn't even notice. Nor did she notice when the three fell asleep watching The Fifth Element for the millionth time, all cuddled up together in a pile.
She awoke with start to an incoming message on her phone and reacted like she had been shot when she read the text on her cell. Serenity wanted to be summoned home. Wolffyn swallowed hard and swore under her breath. She would almost rather face all of Ty again... naked, without weapons, and with both her hands tied behind her back than to face the music she was able to get an earful of from the head of the Yue Shi family.
Steeling her nerves and standing, Wolffyn didn't keep the Healer waiting too long and summoned her home with hardly any reservations. Then ducked behind the sofa and held up Sethos as a shield in front of her.

Re: Bad Wolf [The Yue Shi and The Misfits]
She knew better to talk to Wolffyn while truly still upset and disappointed in her but she had been in hiding when she wanted to talk to her. Hiding because she had for some reason broken all the things she stood for prior, she still wasn't sure what had gotten into the girl and she had told as much to Micah. She knew that Ty would hunt her, just like she knew Ty would hunt anyone who broke the masquerade and to be honest, Wolffyn had 26 violations against failed feedings when she herself had last looked. She wasn't sure what the final number was at the time of her trip to the shadow realm. Still she had made a request that Blake stay out of her home, she would not have Wolffyn feeling like she could not be there. So when the alarm stated she was home, she gave her the night to relax, she knew that the Shadow Realm was a haunting place... full of ones personal torments.
The Next Night
It was after midnight and she figured it was time to have a little talk with Wolffyn while she busied bring spirits to her, she knew it would be needed and Ripper had even requested some berries so she would have to see if she had any of those. It was perfect timing really, she could feed on some blood bags, take care of what was needed for the raid, in her support abilities, all while talking to Wolffyn. So when she flickered out of the raid and at home in front of her dog hanging in front of her she snatched Sethos and frowned at Wolffyn. “We are going to have a chat” she made her way to the kitchen expecting Wolffyn to follow as she opened one of the 'wine' bottles that were really blood and poured herself a drink. She would be drinking several glasses before she went back.
Seeing that Wolffyn had followed she stared at her calmly, “Would you like to explain to me how someone who has been Pro-Masq from day one, is unable to feed correctly 26 times?” she closed her eyes as she drank from the wine glass, "To be honest, I couldn't even understand what has gotten into you. Did you get shot in the head and lose a part of your logic core processing?" she grabbed a kitchen knife, not that she would truly use it, was not the right tool for cutting someone's head open, "Do I need to take a look inside your head and see if something is missing in there?" in her mind, it wasn't 'harmful' or breaking her idea of being a pacify, but something to study. A study in finding out what caused Wolffyn to slip so far from the path she had been on from day one.

Re: Bad Wolf [The Yue Shi and The Misfits]
A mixed bag of expressions played out across Wolffyn's face as the taller woman seemed to shirk in front of the smaller one's words. The Necromancer's voice wasn't raised and her tone, although firm, wasn't cold or condescending. Yet despite all that, Serenity's presence seemed to grow larger even as Wolffyn's seemed to diminish, almost but not quite becoming one with the shadows.
She didn't dare vanish from the dressing down she had known would be coming yet she was finding it difficult to meet Serenity in the eyes directly. Wolffyn loved the whole family, not just Serenity. But it was the Healer who had befriended the shadow when she had been lost and alone. Serenity was the one that taken in Wolffyn and given her a home. And it was Wolffyn who had brought danger to that home 3 times now.
Wolffyn knew she should feel shame at endangering her family and it did make her feel badly. The anger and bitterness that she had been feeling for most of the year and was still being cherished in her heart blinded the redhead to a lot of things she normally would have seen a lot more clearly. But the young woman was forced to take a closer look at herself under the scrutiny of the head of her family.
Then her mouth engaged before her brain and the first words out of her mouth were to correct her elder. "27. It was 27 violations, not 26." Wolffyn cringed even as she said it, her need to always do things in odd numbers had been a running joke in the Misfits for awhile.
And she almost showed Serenity the same disrespect twice, but managed to bite her tongue the next time. And then was glad she did, as she remembered that the Healer was correct. Even though Wolffyn had made a few mistakes at the start before Serenity had found the shadow, from day one the redhead had stayed hidden in the sewers feeding on only rats until she had been adopted and given a home. By Serenity.
The Healer that Wolffyn owed so much to held a knife but it wasn't a concern. Wolffyn had no fear that Serenity would attack her. The idea of going under the woman's knives on an examination table however, horrified the redhead. Wolffyn pulled away from her friend slightly and chewed on her bottom lip at a loss for words.

Re: Bad Wolf [The Yue Shi and The Misfits]
Her left eyebrow raised as she frowned at Wolffyn, she said nothing about the reason why she had chosen to go down this path but the number struck her as a bit odd. Still she figured she would give the woman a few moments to try and father her thoughts together. "I do not mind if you are changing your views. Still this is..." she wasn't sure what it was, fast for one, even Gambat fought his battles differently, "madness." she said simply, "I don't like careless or foolish behavior. If you are going to be Anti, don't be so stupid about it."
She herself was far from being Pro or Anti when it came to the masquerade, but she knew one thing, she did not want to be known what she was. Fact she pretend to be a Blood Thief when she had no other choice in the matter. The reason was simple to her, you could not trust everyone, not even when you were human could you foolish trust people. To her what she was, was her business and no one elses. Still even she had been careless a few times in her time in Harper Rock. She understood mistakes happened, she had been caught once... and one other time outside of the city, but that was because she had chosen to feed upon Christopher and he began to notice.
The other times she had been caught... hadn't exactly been due to her being a vampire but due to her studies. Apparently it didn't look so good trying to drown a zombie to see if they died,. That had resulted in one siring, the girl never made it. Still that really didn't have much to do with her being a vampire even though she had summoned the zombie herself... she had not been caught using her powers. Still the number of times was even worse than she had thought, 26 was bad, but 27 was even worse.
Clearing her throat as she spoke in Chinese "27 failed attempts" putting the knife back down and went and got one of Innova farmhouse stews down for Sethos, while she preferred to cook and make her own dog food for him, when she was in a hurry, or didn't plan to stay home like she didn't plan to do tonight, she figured high grade dog food was the best course of action. Even her cat had top grade cat food though for her she tended to use dry cat food as unlike Sethos if it wasn't really home made she tended to take her sweet time eating it.
When she was done opening the stew she sat it down so Sethos could have his fill. “So 27 failed feedings... after getting caught and reported 27 times, you were sent to the shadow realm.” She tapped a finger to her chin as she crossed her other arm around her chest as she looked at Wolffyn, “Don't you think your ancestors were trying to tell you that your new path is wrong?” she dropped her arms and went and filled another glass of blood from the 'wine' bottle. "Unless you no longer have a thing about odd numbers, then of course your ancestors were telling you that you were on the right path."

Re: Bad Wolf [The Yue Shi and The Misfits]
“27失敗的嘗試”
Was all Wolffyn heard, and it was all Greek to her. Serenity spoke Chinese so seldom in front of the redhead, that Wolffyn didn't recognize a word of it. She understood the tone though. And as the Necromancer continued to speak after feeding the beast, Wolffyn started to begin to relax... the knife hadn't concerned the Shadow but she was very glad when Serenity had put it down all the same.
As the other woman had busied herself taking care of Sethos, Wolffyn bent down to rub Winnie's belly. It was as plump as a basketball and it was tempting to try and bounce a quarter off of it. The pug had already had enough to eat,so Wolffyn kept her distracted while the other dog ate in peace. Winnie would have tried to steal Sethos' food but she would have sat there staring at him and whining for his entire meal. She looked up at her friend and benefactor while the lecture continued, doing her best to at least appear contrite.
Dogs all happy, the redhead stood while Serenity poured her glass full again and leaned back against the counter. She knew it was blood in the bottle but had no interest in a glad herself. Her confidence started to dissolve, however. As soon as Serenity's words about the numbers sank in. She had been killed on an odd number.
The redhead would have gone 30 shades of paler if she could. She stood there stunned as the ramification sunk it. Had she meant to stop at 27? No, she hadn't... Wolffyn couldn't deny that she would have never stopped at all if she hadn't been forced to. She hadn't been back long enough to start again but her intentions had been to get back to the same path she had been on before she had been killed, just make it even harder to find and catch her this time.
But Serenity had a good point. Ancestors or not, Wolffyn was obsessed with odd numbers and believed even numbers to be bad luck. For herself, at least. It made the rest of the family rather annoyed when they played some games.
But it was how she was and Wolffyn had not changed. The fact that she had been killed on her 27th violation was like a slap in the face, and slid down the counter to sit on the floor of the kitchen.
Wolffyn sat there in silence for a few minutes and then just very quietly whispered; "****."
