Time always moved differently in the realm. At least for her. If it weren't for her ever present connection to the internet, even here in this hell-hole, Madison would probably go insane. It also helped that she wasn't alone. They all had known what was in store for them. They hadn't known how long it would take but they knew it was inevitable. So it'd been agreed upon that as each of them were sent to the realm, they'd try to find each other and find each other they had. All except Luffy and Reginald. Where they were no one seem to know exactly but they couldn't just sit there unprotected and it'd been decided that those with the ability were going to lock the others in.

So there they sat; Alexandrea, Kira, Sundial, Gambat, Madison, and the two wraiths, Adrian and Meagan. The banter between them was helpful. Some tried harder than others to keep their spirits high. Madison had managed to keep most of her temper aimed towards the internet. Being dead always made her a bit mouthier. Perhaps it was because there was only so much you could do to a person who was already without a body. Could also be that she was just plain crabby without being able to go through her normal routine. She'd snapped at everyone when Ripper came to visit them with some stupid plan she'd barely thought over before shutting down with verbal venom. Being dead sucked and it didn't help that they weren't being left alone where they were. So Madison made it a point to reach out telepathically when she could and send blood curdling screams into the minds of Velveteen and Blake.

Alexandrea felt torn. On one hand, she wasn't alone and now she had Telekinesis she wasn't bored. On the other, she had just watched people she loved and cared about die standing in front of her. Yes, they had all said they had their own reasons to be there that night and a couple of them already had given the Owls a reason to come looking for them.

But it had been Alexandrea who was on the list and gotten the threat to either give herself up or have all her family and friends hunted down. Ironically, Alexandrea had just been considering giving herself up already and about to call Phoenix to arrange a duel that Alex knew she couldn't win when Velveteen's message had been sent into Alexandrea's head. After that, there was no way Alex could back down. There are some lines you just don't cross.

The company down under (if down was the right direction, who knew...) was pleasant enough once the force fields had stopped the attacks of a certain one time blood thief turned vampire and they passed the time in peace, mostly. There were messages from back in the land of the living and even a visit from the notorious Ripper who had a very interesting idea.

Most didn't think the plan was worth the risk and Alex, although tempted by the random mischief it could mean, left the meeting leaning towards agreeing with the majority. Until once again, Velveteen changed Alexandrea's mind. Someone who was traced back to the Tree house's second floor had planted a virus in both of Alex's beloved businesses. Sneaking at peak at the head Harpy, Alex saw the woman was capable of it just as Velveteen sent the mind blocks.

Comparing notes, Alex learned Kira's businesses had also been attacked at the same time and she passed on the information that Velveteen was both able to have done it and awake at the time it happened. And once the ability to send her thoughts returned, she thanks the Mistresses of the Owls with a bedtime story about bunny. After all, everyone loves bunnies.

Hacking the businesses of the dead. Surprise, surprise. If Madison had known that she was up to her normal snuff, she would have retaliated in kind. To every single one of Tytonidae members' businesses. But she knew that in her present condition that she'd probably have a hard enough time getting past the first node of any of them. And she knew them all. Had a list of all of them saved to the cloud in case she ever had reason to use any of them. Alexandrea had an idea though. Just annoy the ever loving **** out of Velveteen. At this point, it seemed that they were all dead again no matter what they did. At least this way they'd have the satisfaction of knowing they had gotten under the skin of the other female vampire.

So while Alexandrea started telling her bedtime stories about bunnies, or whatever other stories about bunnies that there were, Madison started singing. A few Google searches for the most annoying songs ever had given her a few ideas. Madison was also about as tone deaf as one got. She couldn't sing a tune in key to save her life, which was probably screwed anyways. First was the nursery rhyme "I'm a Little Teapot". Then came "Rock a Bye Baby" which Madison thought was rather fitting seeing that Velveteen lived in a tree. One of these days, those boughs they lived upon would break and their entire faction would come crashing down. Or at least, she could hope. After the baby song, Madison started in on "The Song That Never Ends" and she sang it repeatedly until she was sick of it herself. At least seven or eight times through, possibly more. Then came the "Gummy Bear Song". She didn't actually know this one until she'd found it on the internet so she'd needed to watch the video a few times and read along with a lyrics list before she was able to badly recite it mentally to Velveteen. By the time she got through "Peanut Butter Jelly Time", Madison was pretty much done. But with that one, she'd changed a few of the lyrics and replaced the original singers' names with her own and Vel's.

For a full twenty to thirty minutes, Madison sang in her horribly off key mental voice before she got bored with the whole idea. But it had worked. Not even ten minutes or so after she'd stopped singing to Velveteen, the mind block came through along with a message that it was shut up time. The tone that shut up time was said in, she perceived as annoyed. And that made it all worth while.

Kira wasn't happy about being in this forsaken place yet again, but at least this time she got a damn one on one liked she had asked about before that she hadn't gotten. Which was why she was surprised that it worked this time, she was expecting to be ganged up on as soon as she went down to fight. If they hadn't done that to Reggie then it made sense they weren't going to do it to her. Reggie...he took out two owl turds. Yeah she was proud of him, though it worried her when they fight each other again. She sighed softly, she would worry about that later.

At least she had more company this time, it made it a little better. But Reggie was nowhere to be seen. They stood up for what they believed in, took out some of their people. They may be dead but it was a good fight. But being dead wasn't enough. Alert after alert of having their businesses hacked into and it leads right back to their nest. Damn those motherfuckers were petty. She would keep pointing out all the dumbass practices they do on the Crownet. Coming into people homes and trashing the place, threatening friends and family, hacking the businesses of the dead.

Kira joined in on the mind messages. She could sing, so she made sure it was loud and proud. She started off with War, "War, huh, good God. What is it good for. Absolutely nothing. Listen to me." she really got into that one, rocking out in the little spot they had blocked off. Well it kept her mind off of this dark place. Then she sang some other songs, give peace a chance, Heal the world, Earth song.

Things has seemed to quiet down on Crownet for awhile but then picked right back up again. Alex posted a few times from her new connection with her mind and did her best to stay pleasant and polite to everyone, regardless of what was said. And as sometimes did happen more often than she liked, Alex had worn on some people's nerves. Including those of her long time friend, Phoenix from the Daughters of The Triple Moon. And although the fiery Shadow's promises of death were hurtful to the sensitive Allurist; she knew about the redhead's temper and tried to think positive thoughts about what it would mean for the future of their friendship.

And once Elizabeth had posted on Crownet as well and had contacted Alexandrea, the blonde stopped her harassment of anyone until further notice. She kept score, though. For every time someone planted a virus in one of Alex's business systems, that was another fuzzy bunny story held in the reserve to share later with Velveteen. The count was up to four more rabbit tales so far but there was no hurry to deliver the specially picked entertainment. There was still five more days to go plus an extra week after that promised to them all already, no matter what they did anyway. So why bother trying to please the unpleasable? Even when they got what they wanted, they weren't happy and continued the harassment.

And that's where Alexandrea was conflicted. She had been trying to act more responsibly and stay out of trouble. Of course, Alex always said that but her impulse control really had improved and her willpower had gotten a lot stronger in the last few months. But this situation had pushed a lot of buttons. For Alex, Madison, Kira and on all sides it seemed. Their small group had tried to make a stand, to try to start a change. Whether or not anyone even remembered that five had stood against how ever many and managed to take three with them to their death, the five of them knew they had at least tried to do something.

Alex liked many of the members of the Ty but she was fed up with the attitude they fostered of killing anything that they couldn't control. As much as Alexandrea disliked that Emmanuel Broussard fellow, at one time there was talk of an alliance between the Blood Thieves and the Vampires but Ty and several others felt driven to kill them all instead. Who knew how much different things might have been when the Paladins and their pet Hunters had arrived from Europe and started to spread through town.

Part of the blonde had started wonder the the point was. All the damn conflict. It never solved anything and the community as a whole was going no where. No one seemed to want to plan ahead for the inevitable. That in about ten years when none of the vampires started to age, they were all screwed it they wanted to stay in Harper Rock. Even in her own small group, her idea of getting a foothold for vampires in human politics was unpopular. The changes that Alex and many of her friends had helped to make happen last fall hadn't helped to encourage anyone else from the community to want any more changes either. The whole system had been tossed into paper shredder as far as Alex was concerned, getting rid of Crow had been a huge mistake that none them could have predicted.

So maybe everything else she stood for was also a mistake? Alex didn't want to think that but she had a lot going through her mind besides the usual 'oh yea here I am dead again' venting she was used to doing. There was a lot of thinking to do. What did it really mean to become more responsible? Doing what you thought was right and standing up for what you believed in? Or just keeping your head down and avoiding trouble?

She entirely wasn't sure anymore but people threatening to kill entire families of innocents just to get to one person smelled a lot like terrorist tactics to Alexandrea and she didn't like it one bit. It was clear she had to stop acting out and getting lazy about where she fed when she got back, willing friend of hers or not, but there was a bigger canvas waiting there to be painted on than just what most would see at first glance.

Once again, Alex wished she had her journal with her so she could write out her thoughts on paper, in pencil. Actually seeing the words written out and feeling the book and it's pages of real paper always helped the Allurist to put her sometime shard to control emotions in a better perspective.

Tired of the quiet, she looked around at her friends and did her best to seem a lot more cheerful than she felt as she quipped out playfully; "Knock Knock!!!" And waited hopefully for someone to take the bait.

For every person that made off like they thought Madison was stupid, Madison generally thought it about them. It was no secret that she opposed Tytonidae's way of doing things. Nor was it a surprise that some people never took into consideration that she rarely posted to CrowNet. It was even funnier that some were getting in a huff because, oh my god, dead people are talking on the internet. She could have sworn however that some of those same people had built an argument around the fact that being sent to the Shadow Realm wasn't really considered dying or being dead since vampires came back after a time. The selective eyesight and memory of others always astounded her and normally she was able to just laugh it off but Phoenix's threats and promises of killing Alexandrea and Kira as soon as they returned irritated her.

At one point in time she had held a great deal of respect for the redheaded vampire. It was because of Phoenix's information that Madison had been able to keep Oria from being sent to the Shadow Realm for a few days. The shadow had given her the exact location of where Tytonidae had been attacking her fellow Grigori. But now Madison could see that it was simply a case of "the enemy of my enemy is my friend for the time being that we share a mutual enemy". She still held Phoenix in higher regards than Tytonidae though. As flaky as she deemed Phoenix to be, at least the woman admitted that she killed others because she liked it and she could. She didn't try to sugarcoat it and make it easier to swallow because it "for the good of their kind" or some other horseshit excuse. Didn't really matter what she thought of Phoenix. In the end, within a day or two of her return, Phoenix would more than likely have killed all three of them. She seemed like the type that always kept her word when it came to threats of killing someone.

Madison had been disconnected from the CrowNet for awhile now, wasting time away by watching Game of Thrones online. She was behind from last season and now that she had the time, she might as well have gotten herself up to date. All the others she was with chattered now and then but not about anything Madison had any true interest in. It'd actually been silent for a few episodes or so when Alexandrea's voice reached out to the group.

Turning her ghostly form to that of which she believed to be Alex's, Madison decided to be nice since she'd been so rude to her friend before and bit the bait of what was sure to be a bad knock-knock joke, "Who's there?"

Kira figured while she had so much time on her hands, she should think of new songs for the lounge. The Beef Cakes should be used to her taking random 'vacations' by now. And surely Dru doesn't mind being in charge while she was away. She wondered if Dru should just take the animals instead of having to check on them, now that she was in an apartment, she wasn't sure if that was doable. The animals would be going crazy right about now without her there. No, Dave could take care of the animals so Dru could just worry about Kira's businesses, well and Lexy's.

She sat there with her arms crossed, thinking on the night that everything went down. Was Lexy the real reason they were there? Part of it maybe. But other part was that they had gone out to attack a lone owl turd in the QZ. The reason? Retaliation, just as they were doing. Come into a home, fine whatever. You were looking for someone who wasn't even ******* there but to trash the place, disrespect it and the people who live there. Well guess what motherfuckers, people weren't taking it laying down anymore. They didn't have the numbers yet but if one of their own thought just because they were part of the big band, gangbang gang and would be safe, think again. They attacked people all the time who were alone with a group. Turn around is far play assholes.

She snapped out of her little rant in her head, hoping she wasn't growling. She had no idea what was going on in the CrowNet, she never read anything after she says something. There was no point of replying to any sort of drama, moronic bunch of ******** that the Crownet was.

Kira reached a hand up, wanting to rub her head but dropped it back down. She couldn't even do that but she felt like her mind was all over the place. She had been shot in the head, right? She couldn't remember. Reaching a hand to her chest, she did know she was shot in the heart a few times. She wouldn't recovering from damn emotions for some time it seemed. Not that Reggie should mind any unless he wanted to go hunting. She sighed softly, if only she could find a way to merge the emotional and the less emotional, ruthless killer parts together.

She lifted her head up, hearing a knock knock. She frowned, she would let Madison have at that. She wasn't in the mood for jokes like that.

Although fighting with someone besides Odin had been fun, a part of Alexandrea had still felt badly about hurting her opponents. When she first arrived, she had even gone looking for the members of Ty that had fallen, thinking as long as they were all dead why couldn't they all hang out. But they had blocked themselves in. She realized how stupid she really was thinking that there was any chance to be friendly with Ty after the harassment from the living continued.

Having to take a week off of work was bad enough but now her businesses had been infected with viruses on top of it. Then there were more trips as well, for once Alex was back. Nix followed Alexandrea anywhere she went on Crownet, posting remarks where ever Alex did. She tried to stay on the family board or just not go on Crownet at all despite the boredom.

But things were looking up. Madison had asked 'who was there'. If Alex had a face it would have been grinning ear to ear. If she still had a body, she would be getting ready to run really fast and really far away. Even with both Alex and Madison being nothing but misty smoking shapeless somethings, the Allurist was ready to dash away in a second as she replied. It was a joke she had tormented Maddie with before, Alexandrea's favourite.

"Doctor."

There was an inward groan as she heard Alexandrea's response to the question of 'who's there'. Alex had done this knock knock joke before and Madison had caught on to it immediately before needing to ask 'Doctor Who?'. The blonde had never seen the British television series and she had no intention on ever starting to watch it. She figured there were already enough fanatics about the Doctor, he wouldn't miss not having one more fan.

The last time Alex had asked her this, Madison had taken forever to give her the response she wanted. Her first response had been, 'Doctor Who sucks!' which had promptly had the other blonde gasping in shock. But Alex hadn't let up on getting the question out of Madison and after a good ten or fifteen minutes of constant needling had gotten the telepath to reply properly. This time probably wasn't going to be any different. Alexandrea was delighted by the small things and while she may feign insult by Madison's response, Madison knew that her friend got a kick out of her friends reluctance. She swore that one of Alexandrea's favorite past-times was pestering Madison. Sort of like one of hers was pestering Alex by not immediately giving her what she wanted.

If she had a mouth to smile with, it would have been ear to ear as she stated, "Doctor Who sucks dalek dick!"

Kira looked between the two, waiting to see if this joke was going to be any good but when Madison replied the way she did, it left her even more confused. This sounded like a rather perverted joke. She didn't even realize it was about Doctor Who, which she had never watched nor had any interest in. She didn't really watch any shows.

She raised an hand up, watching it ripple like water. She sighed softly, she hated this place. She wasn't a cheery person but this place was depressing. She looked off into the darkness, it seemed to move but she was sure everyone saw what they didn't want to see. Their own personal hell. For her it was normally Warrior, if that side of her didn't bother her in her own head, or in her dreams, she had to bother her here as well. Although she was sure that the version here was just part of her hell here. And there was no getting rid of it, making it go away. At least now the Warrior she put up with in the waking world, she now had a way to leave her alone. She simply had to pull Reggie into her Dream World. Warrior sure hated it when he was there. She really wish she knew how in the world she started pulling him into her dreams. It was hard keeping up with all these new gifts.

"Hum...so any plans for when you're alive again?" she asked, she wanted some kind of conversation going so she didn't think about this place and she wasn't sure what the hell was up with that joke.
