The Fade (Live Role play Sepsis/Eva)

Post by Sepsis »

--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--

Eva
Sepsis

Walking up to the shade Eva sensed something familiar about it ... "Who are you ?" she asked.

Sepsis tensed, watching as the being approached her.

Eva looked at the shape and the shimmering void where its face would usually be. "Your aura seems familiar almost like your one of us ... One of my blood ... Who are you ?"

Sepsis watched warily as the being spoke to her. 'Who are you? they asked, but she was reluctant to answer. She only knew that she was in danger, and this being before her, like Wolffyn, did not belong here in this dark place. 'I am of your blood' she whispered to the being, ready to flee at the first sign of hostility. Her blood had sent her to this place, and trust was a luxury she could not afford.

Eva understood this place better than some about the lonely and crushing darkness that invaded every part of your being... You would almost reach out to anyone or anything you met but then you remember how you got here in the first place. She smiled "What is your name, I wont hurt you ?"

Sepsis debated, watching the pyress before her. 'Hurt her'? One could say they would cause no harm, but she had learned that the Fade held more horrors than waking unlife. She watched the pyress, a kindly expression upon her face, and sensed the woman did not have malicious motive...at least not at this moment. 'I am called Sepsis' she replied, ready for flight at the first hint of danger.

A grin appeared on her face she knew the name Wolfgang had told her of the new sibling She had also read her name many times on the violations list. Miss Zodiac had also mentioned hiring the woman to work for her as well.. "So your another one of the Wild wild Wests ... how are you doing with that wound huge wound you have there ?" Eva couldn't see the wound on the woman and hadn't appraised her yet to see how damaged she was but since she had died two times recently she had grown quite familiar with the large wounds that only the energy of the spirits of the fade could lessen .

Her smile was dazzling. Like a star twinkling in the midnight sky. Full of mystery and intrigue. Her death wound...how casually the pyress asked her about it. Bringing her formless hand to her chest, she shuddered slightly. It felt like she had a giant hole in her chest. The gunshot wound had been brutal, and direct. Focusing on the first part of the question however, Sepsis replied. 'Who are you?'

"I'm Eva West. Your, for lack of a better word for it, sibling. I can help you with that wound if you would like?" Eva moved a little closer slowly. She didn't want to frighten the woman off .

Sepsis tensed as the pyress edged closer to her, watching her like a fox in a hen house. 'Eva' she had said her name was...her sibling. She had only met one of her own Kind, long ago, before she had slept. She watched Eva's face, searching for signs of untruthfulness, but found none. Her wound, again the pyress asked about her death wound. 'He shot me' she whispered, afraid to show weakness to the woman before her.

Eva chuckled. "I'm sure they shot you more than once. That's what they do when you screw up and put the rest of us at risk." Eva concentrated, focused her power and called out into the void. Soon a spirit wafted over to where they were. "Walk into it absorb its power and see what happens "

Sepsis scowled slightly at what Eva called 'risk'. She was always careful, and it was not her fault that all human seemed to carry smart phones with cameras on them these days. How much easier it must have been in days long gone by. Then she felt it. A burning energy gathering around the woman. Hot, like white lightning. She felt a tug, but resisted it's call. Magick like she had not seen before was being done here. Her eyes rounded in confusion for a moment as she saw the first of the spirits arrive, and Eva spoke again. 'Walk into it.' Eva said. Sepsis lunged. The spirits, bound by the power that had called them, cried out as they were absorbed, unable to escape. Their essence nourished her. Bathed her in healing light. Falling to her knees she cried out primaly. The memories of the spirits bombarded her, and she fought to resist the urge to claw her eyes out. A few moments passed, and the assault finally ceased. Her chest heaving heavily, Sepsis looked up at Eva. 'Why are you helping me...'

"Its not exactly easy down here and your family Its what we do in the Wests. Eva concentrated and drew another spirit to them she didn't know how long she would be able to keep this up but the girl hadn't been in the city long, and that wound had to be a big one she was guessing.

Unable to restrain herself, Sepsis barely paid attention to the comments of family helping family. Instead, she tore into the approaching spirits. Devouring their essence. Bathing in their life force. She closed her mind this time as the memories of the spirits attempted to bombard her fragile state. Rising to her feet, she swayed slightly. 'You would be unlike those who have already claimed to be my Kin'. Sepsis replied, trying to keep the venom from her voice. 'I was already betrayed, and trust is not something I give freely.' Hearing the bite in her words, she scowled slightly. "I do not mean to sound ungrateful, but you do not belong in this place, and motives are always questioned.' Gathering her composure, Sepsis reached out towards the woman with one hand. 'You are in danger here. He will be coming for me soon, and you cannot stop Him. You must flee.' Desperation speckled her words. She did not want this one to be harmed, but she knew that the woman would never understand the peril.

((This is a live chat RP ))

Eva stared at her ... "There isn’t much anyone can do to me here. The other spirits, people that have died might harm you, though ... Undo everything that I have done for you tonight. So be wary of them."

Sepsis could see that the pyress believed the words that she spoke, but she herself was not quite as confident. She has been in this place once before, and He had been furious that she had escaped. She knew that she would not be so lucky this time..she had tarried to long in this place of spirits. Cocking her head to one side, Sepsis strained to hear through the quiet whispers of the damned souls wandering the fade like her. She could feel something was wrong. ”We must leave this place at once” Sepsis pleaded.

Eva sat there with the girl, not quite sure what to say. She seemed do restless. Then suddenly she tumbled to the ground. She knew this aura, this shade, even though she couldn’t see her face. She had battled the person before. Cinnamon Cherrywhip had her down, and was draining spirit energy from her before she could do anything to help. She looked around for Sepsis, and saw her wildly trying to fend off the attack.
Sepsis cried out as the shade attacked her. A hot burning was felt through her entire being, and she could feel her essence being stolen. Resist as she might, she was no match for the shade, and she fell to her knees helpless. Then, as quickly as it had began, she shade turned, and fled into the never ending fade. Sepsis shook, her arms laying limply by her sides. "Dark gods, why me..." she cried softly.

Eva stood, looking around wildly. She looked towards Sepsis, to see her curled there on the ground, holding her chest. Eva bent to help her when she suddenly felt the pull. She thought, ‘No, not now!”, but she couldn’t control it. She had been in the fade too long and now she was being pulled back to the world of Harper Rock. She tried to not go, but she felt herself weaken then, and then the hard floor of the Mall was under her, and she was standing there in a daze. "That ***** "she whispered under her breath. The curse came in her mind silently, and she whispered her name Cinnamon Cherrywhip.” The curse went to its target, draining them of their energy.

Sepsis watched helplessly as the pyress before her inexplicably began to disappear before her. "Eva!" she cried out in desperation, but the pyress was gone. She was alone in this place once again. And that is exactly what He was waiting for. "So there you are." A voice that was far too familiar to her whispered maliciously in her ear. " I thought your friend would never leave. Sepsis struggled to turn to face Him. "Leave me..please.." she begged. He laughed heartlessly, coming round to face her. "Like you left me alone?" he sneered. Without warning the first of the chains surrounded her. They burned like sunlight, and she screamed in agonizing pain. "Now now, my darling." He cooed. "Don't start that already, the fun is just beginning."

When she finally came to, Sepsis found herself atop a large cold stone slab, bound hand and foot by chains that burned her shadowy self. He stood over her, leering. "I've been waiting a long time for you to come back, my dear." He said, walking to her side so that she could see His face better.

Even here His eyes shone blue like the ocean.

"I'm sorry.." she blurted out. " I never.." He did not let her finish the sentence. Instead He drove His fist through her chest, wrapping His cold fingers around where her heart would be, squeezing mercilessly. Sepsis screamed a blood curdling scream, and He laughed.

"You lied to me. You promised me. I gave up EVERYTHING for YOU!" He shouted. Sepsis could only choke, trying to gasp for words. Pulling His hand back out of her chest roughly, He turned from her, snorting in disgust. He turned back after a few moments, His piercing eyes seemingly boring through her soul. "I have been trapped in this place because of you. I cannot go back, and I cannot move on. You have damned me to a purgatory without end." Venom saturated His words, and His lips pulled back into a snarl.

Once again He thrust His fist into her chest. This time however, He bent over, His mouth opening as He did. To her horror, Sepsis watched helplessly as black slick looking tendrils burst from His mouth, and thrust themselves down her throat, choking her, stealing her very life essence.

She would have cried if she had been able to.

As it was, all she could do was convulse and throw her head madly from side to side. After what seemed an eternity, He stepped back, the tendrils savagely tearing at her throat and face as they withdrew. Leaving her no time to recuperate, He raised His arm, smashing his fist into her face. Sepsis cried out helplessly, unable to even beg for mercy.

"I promised you when I was dying what I would do if you didn't save me." He spat angrily. "I couldn't do it, I couldn't make the magick work." Sepsis pleaded. He loomed over her, His blue eyes flashing. "I had a life before I met you. I had a wife...I had a child. You ruined it all for me by showing my your world." His words filled with pain, and despite what He was doing to her, she felt empathy for him. "She killed herself after I disappeared. I know, she passed through this place." Bitterness bit at His words, and Sepsis briefly felt shame.

"You could have made it work. I know." He spat. Sepsis wanted to explain that she was not gifted in the magick of making progeny, and for her, it was an extremely dangerous to attempt. Many could change their chylder wit a single exchange. Some in fact, seem to make them whether intentional or not. For her, it was a long drawn out process, and took an entire week to do. She had attempted it a handful of times, but not once had she been successful. Only one had made it past three days, and that had been Him. Six days He had survived changing, but He Had not made it through the final change, and she had not been able to save Him.

He did not want to hear this however, and once again his fist tore through her chest, tearing at her very life force. She forced the words to her lips in desperation.."I loved you.." she choked. Abruptly He stopped, pulling His hand from her chest.

I wanted to believe that for a long time." He said simply.

Using the last of her energy, she sent out one last desperate please for help..."Eva, help me..." She never knew what He did next, for she mercifully lost consciousness.

It would be 2 more days before she could get back to Sepsis Eva got the call about the raid and weighed whether she should go and help or not . She donned her gear and plenty of ammo as she checked her gear she got the telepathic message Sepsis pleading for help in her head. Eva gritted her teeth hoping the young piress would be ok until she could return to aid her . She went into the raid climbing the floors quickly going through the opponents with a furious intent none stood before her long as she plowed through them .

On the second day of climbing up the floors She faced the jorogumo matriarch The battle was fierce and ranged all across the area until Finally her opponent fell leaving her riches there for Eva to take for her own . The battle left her spent Taranto had made it out safely he texted her Eva asked for help getting her loot to the bank . Soon as the words were mentioned she could feel herself and loot dispersing and she was standing with her sibling at the bank. She thanked him and quickly deposited her hard earned take .

Exhausted and tired but that plea from Sepsis was weighing heavily on her mind . She had Lyonels assistant Miss Jolie bring her car straight over to her Thanking the woman she headed to the nearest Magic shop she needed supplies . Once she was stocked to satisfaction. She rested her muscles ached and her mind was racing she closed her eyes while she sat in the parking lot and drifted off the dark windows of the car protecting her from prying eyes .

Two hours and the woman Jolted awake It was a dream but it seemed so real she was being chased by something she quite couldn't put her mind around it would never come clear to her where she could see it but the overwhelming fear still lingered. She needed to get to Sepsis. Concentrating Eva kept her mind on who she was wanting to find she got the location clearly in her head before she set her mind on dissolving into the fade .

As she appeared with the darkness surrounding her she sensed 2 beings close by she recognized the auras at once Cinnamon Cherrywhip and her sire Miss Prudence were sitting together. They had altered the Shadowrealm putting up a protective barrier Eva knew what to do she went slowly around the pair working and altering each square surrounding them with a barricade of her own that would be hard to escape . I hope that lasts i don't want her attacking Sepsis again before i can get her out of here she thought to herself as she set off in the direction her sibling was.

As she neared the area she got the distinct impression that they were not alone There were 2 figures in the darkness ahead of her One was towering over the figure she was stretched out screaming. Eva recognized it at once and rushed the figure standing over Sepsis it was just a spirit It was a nasty one it struggled as Eva started to drain its power and then suddenly it was gone. Eva turned to the trembling woman.. “Holy crap what was that ? Come on we need to get you out of here “ She tugged the woman up wrapping her arm around her waist putting her weight on her and started dragging her limp form in search of the closest way out of this hell .
