Game of... Pranks (Mora)

Post by Olive »

Olive stepped out of the shower and toweled off. Looking a the mirror she stared for a moment, never really getting over the fact that she couldnt see herself in it. She shrugged then, as if to say 'oh well, thats life', threw the towel over her head and vigirously towel dried it. Removing the towel always had Olive curious to see if her hair would straighten back up again, and this time was no different as she slowly pulled it off.

"Ha." She gave a sharp laugh, her hair springing back up into its mohawk that she had styled up the night of her turning. "Flippin' weird." She said, giving another sharp laugh as she slicked her hand through it again and headed out into the bedroom to throw on the first pair of jeans and t-shirt she could find from the dresser. Mora and Olive were practically the same lithe frame - though Mora was considerably taller than Olive so Olive was always rolling her jeans up just a tad. She couldnt ever make up her damn mind while in the store, so she never went shopping. She let Mora and her thrall do all that nonsensical stuff.

Grabbing her phone and mp3 player off the coffee table from the living room, she pocketed them as she headed towards the kitchen. Spotless as usual, Olive could always tell when Mora had been home just long enough to do something - because the house always got cleaned then. She wondered when the woman had done it though - must had been the day before. Giving a shrug and opening the fridge, Olive pulled out a bottle full of blood and uncorked it to swig from it a couple times before shoving it back into the fridge recapped. With the city being so suspicious lately and more and more people showing up on the offenders list, Olive figured it was the safest way to do things.

That and she couldnt find it in her to hunt today. She wanted to do something fun, something lively and entertaining. Entertaining. Maybe she would go to the casino? She had just made all this money from running around hidden past security guards from this raid; yes, she would go gambling today.

Grabbing up her custom made shortblade Olive strapped it to her leg and then threw on her light jacket before heading out the door to the library downstairs. As usual there werent that many people there, and Olive wondered just how much her sire made off the place lately. Just as quickly as she had thought about that her mind shuffled onto something else entirely, and she gave a wave to the receptionist before slipping out the door to head south for the bank next door.

”Zara, bring me that head over there.”

She asked her thrall with a smile, as the human scuttled off to grab the head her satchel that had been placed in the corner of Cai’s crypt. She practically lived here now, with him which wasn’t a bad thing. If anything it was quite cosy. Though she was never alone with Cai, she didn’t mind she was surrounded by family. Zara placed the decapitated head into her grasp as she eyeballed it curiously. It was odd, to look into the whites of Paladin. The humans that swore to kill vampires, great job they were doing there. Mora who was usually so neutral and nice threw the head away and picked up her blade – the one which Olive had made her, it was stronger than her custom forged blade; she cherished everything her childe gave her. Even the relics.

Mora wanted to do something tonight, everyone was out tonight and she had the crypt to herself and being alone was not the brightest of ideas. She could always spread her wings and fly. It had been so long since she had shifted. She wondered what it would be like to fly during a storm, not that there was one tonight. She opened her mind to Olive’s and sent the woman a telepathic message.

”What are you doing tonight, my love?”
An endearment she always kept for Olive.
”I am awfully busy, would you be able to reply by email? I can access it through my mind then.”

A beautiful quirk that telepaths had, being able to access the emails through the mind, as well as the crownet but she scarcely even read that anymore let alone her own family crownets, she had bundled herself away to ritual, hack and kill Paladins on occasions. She never usually made herself known to but a few people.

”I’ll be back soon Zara.”

With that Mora lifted her arms and began to shift. Her moss orbs becoming black eyes, the world around her became rounded. Her body shifted and shrunk until she was the size of a white dove. The wings spread wider and wider without hesitation to flew out the doorway which Zara had opened for her, beforehand. She was greeted by the sight of the moon and the sound of bats zooming by. She wanted to see Olive. Olive had not seen her in this form. It was be new to her, she hoped.

Olive stepped onto the water. It was like second nature to her now, not having to have to concentrate so hard anymore to ensure that her foot didnt slip into the water. She did have to look around though, to make sure that no one was watching. She couldnt be arsed to find herself on the bounty list again. That was just a stupid headache waiting to happen.

HE CRAWLS LIKE A WORM FROM A BIRD Her phone went off in her pocket, screaming lyrics at her from a Used song. It startled her, but she still managed to stay atop the water with both feet. Ripples echoed out in succession from them as she continued across the river, heading towards Cherrydale from her Coastside locale as she pulled out her phone.

Her sires voice boomed in her head as her grip on her phone slipped and she heard the infamous 'plunk' of the device breaking the surface of the water and sinking to the bottom to swim with the fishes. She cried out, nearly hitting her knees but stopping herself just in time. She knew for some odd reason it was just her feet that were able to stay afloat, as she had fallen into the river several times prior in her time as a shadow. "SON OF A QUAIL." She was pissed. But it wasnt the end of the world.

Olive had a spare. She had found it on the Auction House website for nearly fifty percent off, and coudnt resist. Thank god for great deals and even better timing. She grumbled about her sire doing that to her, speaking into her mind like that, pulling out the spare and dialing it into the world wide web to send her an email as she had requested.

Damn you talking into my mind like that. I dropped my phone into the river. Had to get out the backup.

Not busy at all. Just heading to the catacombs to find some sword parts hopefully. Why?

She sent the email off and finally stepped off the river, rubbing at the back of her neck as she turned around and shook her head at the spot she was sure her phone was. If she looked hard enough, she was sure she could see its glow fading quickly before it shut off from the absorption of water finally. She made a face.

--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--

Mora: Mora enjoyed being a bird, and being free. Though, she did get tired after a while. Flapping was hard work! The wind blew through the ruffled feathers, caressing her. When her mind pinged and she knew she had a new email, she mentally smiled and read through the email, instead of laughing she found herself making an off squawking kind of noise. She connected her mind with Olive’s and mindspoke.

Oh, I am sorry you dropped your phone, it was not my intention. A laugh audible. Oh, I can meet you by the sewer grate if you like? I have some parts for you.

She didn’t really but she wanted to see Olive. In this form. Olive had never seen her like this she was sure. She found herself gliding in the opposite direction and heading for Cherrydale where she would meet up with Olive, or stalk her in this form. She found herself squawking once more, the bird equivalent for laughing.

Olive: She tucked her phone into her pocket of her jacket and reached to cross her arms over her chest, shaking her head still at the unfortunate events that were her phone being dropped into the river. It was all Mora’s fault, but Olive would never tell her outright that. Besides, she had the spare, so in the end it didnt much matter. She had anticipated holding onto it for another childer, but Olive also was finding that she didnt feel the need anymore to sire; now that Mora was back, she had her to focus on.

Her sire spoke up once more in her mind, and Olive rolled her eyes at the woman though she couldnt see her. “I hate that, she knows I cant do it right back. What a hassle.” She muttered, rounding the corner of the incredibly secure building she was walking past to get to the station. Pulling her phone out once more, she typed in a reply and sent it.

Works for me, the one near the bank. And stop talking in my head its distracting. LOL

Mora: ”Sure thing, my love.” There was another laugh as she got the last, distracting word in before gliding towards the bank. The sky was beautiful from up here the stars shimmering, and blanketing the sky was lovely to look at it, the moon so big and round from up here. Mora was in heaven as she swerved to the left. Her bird like orbs looked at the ground beneath her to see the theatre, and various building. She spotted the bank near by and glided towards it, the wind holding her gently.

Within moments she set herself atop the bank’s roof. Her webbed feet dragged across the concrete of the roof, as she peered down beneath her to find Olive wasn’t there yet. She watched the others move in and out of the bank, humans and vampires alike. She looked over towards the sewer entrance and didn’t see Olive yet. So she waited.

Olive: Olive laughed too, at the fact that her sire had gotten in the last word there, and probably the last laugh. “Damn woman.” She chuckled, shaking her head as she moved along the sidewalk slowly. She kept to the shadows as much as she could, not entirely on purpose but moreso out of habit than anything. She had never really liked the sun anyways while she had been human, so turning into a nocturnal creature of the night hadnt ever really posed as a problem for Olive. She started to whistle a tune as she walked along, stepping onto the tram and finding a seat to comfortably sit in a rest on the ride to Cherrydale.

Once the tram stopped she stood and walked off, making her way out of the station and through the semi-crowd that had her eyes shifting around constantly. It wasnt that crowds made her nervous, really, but more so that the fact that she was so exposed did. She shifted and finally exited the building, heading down a block until the bank was in view. She looked around, and didnt spot Mora, though she still had a block or so to go before she would actually be there, so she slowed her pace and moseyed along.

Mora: She waited, looking for Olive. She would feel her when she was close by. That was a nifty vampire thing. You could always smell family, even feel them at times. She assumed that was the blood ties that kept it like that and she was grateful. Her dove shape, and her sight made it easy to pick out the fiery redhead from the crowd. Spreading her wings she jumped from the building and headed straight for the vampire.

She dove into a descent her wings coming in before she glided beside Olive, coming in to land on her shoulder. There was a mental grin in Mora’s mind, she wanted to see how Olive would react to having a bird land on her shoulder. She used her small beak to nip at the woman’s ear lobe. Just in case she didn’t notice the gentle landing on her shoulder.

Olive: Olive had been walking along, not worried about a single thing, just minding her own, until a damn bird had dove at her. It had flown right at her, until it landed on her shoulder, and Olive freaked. She jumped, reaching to brush the bird off her shoulder, yelping aloud and carrying on as the bird only took flight once more then landed right back onto her shoulder. Only this time it pecked at her ear, and Olive cried out yet again, unable to contain herself. “Jesus granola bar! What the spork!”

She didnt know this bird. She didnt know it was Mora on her shoulder, and as she turned her head to look at the bird straight on, all she could do was struggled not to start freaking out again. “Seriously, what the flip, yo.”

Mora: Gosh, Olive was so jumpy. Mora found herself laughing again, which came out as squawking. She couldn’t understand why she was fretting over a bird that happened to be sitting on her shoulder. She wasn’t doing anything really, just every now and again nipping at the woman’s ear in an affectionate way. She thanked the gods she wasn’t a cat she could not see herself rubbing against Olive that **** would be crazy. She was straight! Olive flicked at Mora as she jumped from her shoulder wings flapping before she landed on the womans shoulder again. She was mentally grinning.

‘Seriously, what the flip’
She laughed again this time as she lunged off her shoulder before concentrating and shifting back to her human form in front of Olive. Her body felt sore, especially her arms as she looked at Olive with her moss green orbs and grinned a mischievous smile. “You didn’t have to swat at me!” She said with a laugh.

--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--

Olive: Finally the bird removed itself from Olives shoulder and she breathed a giant sigh of relief. How odd that would have been, for Olive to have to deal with that all day, not knowing it was Mora, carting around a dove perched on her shoulder like some kind of pirate. She dusted her shoulder off and looked back to the bird, though it looked like it was growing larger by the minute.

It was! Olive jumped back, immediately reaching for her short sword before she tripped over her stepped on shoe lace, hitting the cement with a loud thud as the fall reverberated through her body. She watched with wide brown eyes as her sire emerged from the form, signature mossy green eyes and all. Olive scowled for a moment, though she was unable to contain the smile that dashed her lips as she laughed finally. “Jesus hamburgers, Mora. You scared the ever lovin’ jeans off me.” She laughed, shaking her head and starting to stand up.

Mora: “Did I scare you?” There was laugh as she grinned again watching as Olive dusted herself off, moments before she had slipped on her own shoelace and had fallen over. The way she emerged from the dove made her look like an angel, now with Olive on the ground in front of her. There was an ego moment going on here, yep. Mora felt like an angel. “I can shape shift.” Mora told Olive with another grin. She couldn’t get over how adorable Olive’s made up curse words were. She had never heard the woman swear, not even once.

Mora offered Olive her arm to help her up as she grinned again, still laughing. “Did I scare you babe?” She just couldn’t stop herself from laughing it was just far too funny.

Olive: Olive barked a laugh at Mora, reaching to grab onto the womans outstretched arm to pull herself up and then let go; the hand used moving around to her backside as she rubbed at it. “No **** you can shift. Thanks for the memo.” She chuckled, shaking her head and still rubbing at her bottom. “I think I broke my tail feather.” She smirked then, hoping to get another laugh out of her sire before the two would head to the catacombs together.

“So do you really have parts for me? Or were you just trying to catch me off guard?” She inquired, curious as to where the parts were since Mora had been flying around moments earlier and she wouldnt know the first place to look for them on the woman. “Though, thats cool you shifted with clothes.” She noted, “I’ve heard some have trouble. Or have to shift with tight clothes if they want em to stick.” She rubbed one last time, then reached to pull Mora into a hug.

Mora: Mora watched her childe rub at her arse and found herself laughing so hard. She didn’t realise she had given Olive such a fright, it tickled at Mora’s sides as she pushed some of her golden locks behind her ears tucking them safely away and out of sight. “Your tail feather, babe?” She laughed again, her belly rumbling. “It’ll heal like everything else does.” She avoided the subject of that seeping gunshot wound on her chest from the night of Olive’s turning. Yet her smile never faltered as she watched Olive curiously. They could go to the Catacombs together she thought, two people collecting parts were better than one person going at it alone, a better chance for her to collect things.

“I was just trying to catch you out.” She shrugged. “We can go together if you like, chance of getting more parts for your playtime.” She said with a light jab of her ribs with a giggle to boot.

Olive: She grinned at her sire, shaking her head at the woman, loving that she was hearing her laugh. She thought back to the time when her sire was missing, and how empty it had made her feel. Like someone had taken a spoon and scooped her hollow, dragged the happiness right out of the depths of her very soul. She laughed too, though it died down as her wraith cleared his throat to the left of her and she jumped again.

“Pineapples Mushu!” She cried out, putting up her hands in the form of karate chops, swinging at the air that was where he probably was standing though she knew it would do no good. It still made her feel better. “I hate when you creep up on me like that.” She straight faced the area his voice had drafted from, and his reply came from behind her which only served to make her jump again. “My bad.” He mumbled, his english getting better by the day. She shook her head and looked over at Mora, giving a nod. “Alright then, weapon parts hunting party organized! Lead the way sire.”

Mora: Mora found herself doubling over and laughing again, Olive came out with the most randomest of words. It made her laugh the happiness pouring into her belly. She loved it. She couldn’t see herself saying the things Olive said. She was someone who would say curse words as they were not changing them but it still made her chuckle. These little outbursts made Olive who she was. A random girl. Mora adored the woman, would take a bullet for her if it came down to it.

“Mushu!” She exclaimed as she wagged a finger at thin hoping she was facing him, which in her case usually didn’t happen. She didn’t have the ability to see wraiths, not that she minded so much. “Do not scare my Olive.” She said as she swivelled her body around to the West and headed off in that direction towards the sewer grate. They’d had to go through the sewers to get to the Catacombs but it wasn’t that far away.

Olive: She followed after Mora who wasleading the way, glancing behind her at the black mass of shadow that was her trusty dusty wraith. Lord Irashu was a curious fellow, and though his english was getting better sometimes Olive still had trouble understanding him. Frequently she told him to just spit it out, or to repeat what he said. It frustrated him, she could tell, and so clearly he had taken the time to get to know english. It wasnt that hard of a language, was it?

Olive stepped just ahead of Mora to lift up the circular grate for the woman, sliding her finger into the tiny holes and pulling up on the incredibly heavy object before moving it off to the side. “There you are.” She said, dusting her hands off and splaying one into the dark hole in the ground. “Sire’s first.” She giggled, looking up at Mora with a giant grin on her face. The woman made her happy, that much was clear.

-----------------------------------------THE NEXT NIGHT-----------------------------------------
--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--

Mora: Mora had collected quite a few sword parts for Olive last night as she had gone away happy to tinker with her toys. The woman shook her head giggling as she clambered out of bed in the Crypt. Her home with Judas and their childer. She gave Judas a quick kiss to the cheek affectionately as he was busy at the ritual table. She moved to the fridge and pulled out a contraband bag and drained it hungrily. Her thirst subsiding as she began to wander around the Crypt in her sesame street pyjamas. She loved that childrens program when she was younger.

She meandered back to the bedroom and began to look for something to wear.

Olive: Olive had gotten up before Mora had, though Judas had beaten them both awake; Olive could only attribute that to the fact that Mora and Olive shared the same affliction to the rise and fall of the sun. She was still wearing the same clothes from the night prior, so she grabbed her sword and stretched its belt around her waist, snapping it securely there before stepping through the fade portal that Judas had put in after Olive had helped him to acquire it. Everyone there had done their little part to making the little crypt quite the home, complete with an ATM, two shops, a crafting bench, a forge, an alter and god only knew how many hydroponic stations growing plants for Judas and his rituals.

Coming out on the other side of the one way portal, Olive looked around before she slid onto the tram and rode it to river rock, heading for the extra secure buildings in that area. She broke into one easily, shadowing herself as her wraith Mushu tagged along behind. “Fun.” Was all he said, and she nodded her head at him, bringing her finger up to her lips to tell him to be quiet - not realizing he couldnt see her. Running through the building and grabbing things up as fast as she could because her power only lasted so long, she kept an eye on her watch and got out of the building just in time before she watched her own hands shimmer back into etheral existence.

Mora: She decided to wear a white shift tonight. A silver foot anklet attached to the bottom of her leg. She wore light brown sandals as she pushed her long, blonde mane of hair into a ponytail nothing too fancy but enough to allow herself to be seen in public. She kissed Judas again as she passed him as he was so engrossed in his rituals, she loved him for it before she moved to the fade portal waving to the zombies that always seemed to be standing, and shuffling in the same spot. They were practically family now as she disappeared landing at Honeymead Station. She found herself waving to the library as she passed it, getting on the tram she went to Wickbridge.

Mora needed to get herself some hunter charms. She decided to go through the sewers, in a white dress killing Paladins, she really should have rethought her attire this morning. She pushed the grate aside and jumped down. Landing with a thud as she withdrew her blade and her rifle in her other hand as she stalked.

Olive: Checking the loot in her bag, she sighed. “Not a single steel block tonight, Mushu.” She sounded disappointed, which she was. She needed the steel ones for the ammo that Mora and Judas used. shrugging, she shuffled away from the warehouse to the north, heading into that one there as well before ducking herself back into the shadows and hiding herself on the run through it. This time she found weapons, some decent, some really bad - and one really good one. She strapped it to her back and shifted through the building, hitting the exit rather quickly and dashing through the door just in time as her power wore off and she shimmered back into a solid person again.

She slowed into a walk after about a mile or so, changing direction to head for the river. Akilah was probably in the quarantined area, collecting ears for her as she had asked her to, the fact that the rituals that they needed Judas to do for them in order to reach the next floor of the raids that they all partook in required them was what had prompted her to ask her adopted childe to collect them for her. She hit the river, stepping out onto it as the thought of her sire popped into her mind, the image of Mora sinking to the bottom like her phone had made her lips curl up into a devious smirk.

Mora: She stretched her arms above her head bringing her arms to life as she shifted from side to side, hacking and slashing at the Paladins and Berserkers taking various things from them. Gun parts, hunter charms even $100 bills. She needed them, if not for her then for Judas. She needed to track more fadebeasts to kill them, she had become a pro as of late at killing and hunting them. After exerting herself of energy she clambered out of the sewers the bottom of her shift had become dirty from the sewage water and her arms were splattered with dried blood.

She sheathed her blade and placed her gun back in its hiding place. Happy she headed towards Coastside, she liked to walk along the riveline there, perhaps even see the abandoned docks.

Olive: She effectively shadowed herself, hiding from the world around her as she looked over to the shadowy mass that was her wraith. He had come up to her from over by the sewers, and she raised her brows at him. “Coastside eh?” She asked him, though she knew that for once the roles were reversed and he couldnt see her. “Yeah.” Was all she got out of him, the floating shadowy mass moving past her. He had followed Mora as she had instructed him to, ever since her stint of disappearance a couple months ago.

“Good.” She smirked, closing her eyes and concentrating on the entity in her mind that was the essence of her sire. They were linked, and she felt it as she she called to her, summoning her to the middle of the river that she was standing on.

-- The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--

Mora: She had been looking over the water, it’s beautiful ripples touching the edge of the dock as she looked out the boats, some of them even homes. She thought it would be lovely to own a home that could travel the sea. Whilst Mora was deep in thought she didn’t realise her body was being pulled, tugged on by the fabrications of the air around her it crackled before she could fight the summoning she was already gone without even a pop.

Mora landed where she was summoned too, she didn’t even see who commited the crime but her whole body submerged into the water. The white shirt revealing her pale pink flesh as she kicked her legs into motion and swam upwards. “OLIVE!” Her voice boomed as her head broke the waters surface her golden hair now looking brown, she scowled again.

“I know it was you.” She said through chattering fangs as she swam towards the bank. This was payback for last night, it could have only been Olive to be playful. Well. She was going to ground Olive, ground her of inspiring feelings.

Olive: She laughed after a moment of silence, after being called out by her soaking wet sire. The laughter bursted and broke the eerie silence of the night, her dropping the shadows and shimmering into existence as she held her stomach with an arm over it, laughed and bending to slap her knee a couple times, shaking her head as she stood on top of the water completely dry. She looked over to her sire who was wearing white, and showing the woman in her entirety.

Her eyes got wide for a moment, and then she bursted out laughing again, louder, harder. That was priceless, and she couldnt help the boisterous laughing that bubbled out of her throat and filled the air. She stayed out on the water however, knowing not to get too close to an angry tiger least she’d get mauled.

Mora: Her childe appeared from thin air, laughing so hard she was scared Olive might explode but the worry was gone and the annoyed feelings returned. Mora could see the funny side of it sure, but her dress didn’t. God, how could she walk on the streets with her curvy figure on show. That’s when she realised she wasn’t wearing a bra. She looked down and scowled. Growling.

“Have you got a spare top? or a jacket?” She said lifting her arms to cover her semi-bare breasts as she clambered out of the water at the embankment still looking rather annoyed. It’s not everyday you’re summoned into a river.

Olive: She laughed, though after a moment it turned into sporadic giggles here and there as she brought her hand up to her mouth and tried to cover them from slipping out to no avail. The woman had only made matters worse by being so embarrassed over it, and Olive couldnt help but walk over to her then, slipping her jacket off and reaching to drape it around her sire’s shoulders. Still giving the random giggle here and there, Olive pulled her lips in and bit on them, trying not to burst out laughing in her sire’s face again. This was something she wouldnt forget for a long time.

Finally after sucking in a long deep breath, Olive calmed enough to be able to talk. “Gotta admit, that was genius.” She grinned; how could Mora stay mad at her?

Mora: Genious? Mora let a ‘pbbbbt’ leave her lips, the strange hissing noise came soon after as she watched Olive laugh and laugh, like she was going to explode from the explosion of giggles, she wanted to join her but Mora was a stubborn mule, and the whole city of Harper Rock could right now, see her nipples. She wasn’t sure if she should be happy that people get to see her wonderful womanly features or ashamed but, her moss orbs looked over to Olive again as they had dragged to the river, the fiery red head was approaching Mora as she draped the jacket on her shoulders. She smiled.

“I guess it was.” She said as she playfully knocked the woman’s side. “Wench.” She called.

Olive: The woman she had grown to easily and quickly to love unconditionally accepted her jacket and gave Olive a bump on the hip with her own. Olive feigned pain, though the look on her face immediately turned back to a grin as she wrapped her arm around her sires shoulders and gave her a half hug, squeezing before loosening the grip though not dropping her arm. She looked at Mora, shaking her head. Only her sire wouldnt have been on a rage right now, and she couldnt love her any more for it.

“Lets get you inside. We can make a fire in the apartment at Honeymead?” Her suggestion was a question; if her sire didnt want to spend time with her or had things to do Olive would have understood. She had already done everything in the area she had planned to do anyways, and Mora’s soaking wet attire proved that.

Mora: Returned the half hug as she smiled. A fire in their apartment in Honeymead sounded like a good idea, she wasn’t even sure the Crypt had a fireplace but she knew for sure that her own apartment had one, so for a few hours they could sit in front of the fireplace with a cheshire grin. She slung her free arm over the woman’s and started to lead her towards the Honeymead area her moss orbs twinkling.

She knew Olive would give as much as she gets, and Mora was good at playing pranks, perhaps as good as Olive and her young soul.
