--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--
This RP takes place on Saturday 31st May 2014.
Lorelai: Unable to get back to sleep having woken to find the bed empty as always, Lorelai began consider the reasons for her restless mind. CC’s working. It could be that. Or hunger? Am I hungry? I don’t think I’m hungry. When was the last time I…No…Not hungry. Maybe it’s because I haven’t heard from my mother for a while. Or Lyle. Oh I hope they aren’t planning to surprise me with a visit. Hmm… Mmm… Something smells… Lorelai rolls over and buries her face in CC’s pillow. It smells like her. I like that. It didn’t take Lorelai long after this to work out that the reason she woke was due to a dream; one that was borderline erotic and so having woken to an empty bed she had an itch that couldn’t be scratched. Knowing she should ignore the urge, she began to dress and ignoring all good sense made her way in the dead of night through the dangerous city. She’d been in such a hurry, she hadn’t even realised she’d put on sandals instead of shoes and so naturally her feet were now cold. As she walked the city streets that had become her home, she huddled herself inside her thick woollen jacket, her arms across her chest, sleeves over her hands and her head down as she hoped no-one would notice her.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC had slipped out of bed the moment Lorelai had fallen asleep, as she always did, and had headed in to work. She never thought about her home life while she worked, as she switched that side of herself off. She'd performed on stage a couple of times and done a number of private dances for a couple of her clients. Now, she was getting ready for one of her more particular clients up in her private room, humming softly to herself as she altered her appearance to that of a very busty, very rotund, very tall woman, fixing her hair as she wondered how he wanted to be squashed this evening.

Lorelai: Getting to the door, she began combing at her hair which was still dishevelled from having been asleep for a few hours. She yawned and waved at the bouncer she knew who much to the displeasure of those waiting to get inside, waived her through. The girl at the booth nodded to her too and she smiled as brightly as she could at the woman despite how exhausted she felt. Entering the club, she wasn’t sure where to start. First she checked CC’s office and then having not found her there, she decided to go and ask at the bar. She’d of knocked at CC’s room but if the woman was with a client she wasn’t going to have time for her. Back downstairs she managed to get all turned around, as she was watching the floor more than the people around her and it was while looking at the floor that she noticed something odd under one of the seats in a private booth. There was no-one around and so she decided to pick it up, take it to the bar as the owner was bound to come looking. Groping around under the seat, she slid the thing out and then stood up, as she manoeuvred the other way around the table whatever it was she was carrying suddenly exploded. She yelped in pain as several traps simultaneously went off around her leaving her burned, cut and covered in shrapnel. To say the pain was bad was one thing, but as she passed out the last thing she remembered thinking was; At least it was me.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC felt the floor beneath her shake and it made her pause. She couldn't hear anything, as her room was soundproofed, but the floor vibrations were wrong. It was music that was reverberating up, but there had been something..... else. Her head spun around as her phone began to ring and she was there in a shot, picking it up and saying nothing as she heard the panic going on downstairs. She heard the word 'explosion' and hung up, charging out the room and down the stairs immediately. There was ****, everywhere, including smoke, pellets, charred furniture and all sorts. The staff had everything under control, getting folks out, and she could see Ginger on the phone - probably to the fire department for the flames that were licking around some of the seats. "For ****'S sake!" She exclaimed. "What ******* cocking arsing piss soaked dog feltching scrotum dwelling *** put traps in my club?!" Her eyes were shining light blue and black as her anger rose and made them itch and change, and as soon as Ginger saw that, she hung up the phone and watched as CC walked around the club and began putting out fires, lifting tables off people and tossing detritus aside as if it were nothing more than polystyrene, until she reached the epicentre and looked down at a small, frail, blonde haired creature and froze. "No....." She whispered, scared stiff to reach down and touch her, to roll her onto her back to see if her worst fears were about to come true, and this was Lorelai.

Lorelai: Lorelai was having trouble opening her eyes, more so from the pain than any real damage to her face, but still it meant she lay there in complete darkness. She’d been unconscious for a while but as soon as she’d come round she could hear herself groaning, whimpering even. She tried to push herself up from the floor but she didn’t have the ability to do so and promptly fell flat on her face again. A dull ache in her stomach told her that something could be wrong with the baby, and so she moved a hand down to feel around herself as best she could but even her attempt to do this fell flat.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC slowly leant down, having a lot longer way to lean than usual, and reached out to the whimpering female. Gently, she rolled her over and gasped as recognition washed over her. "Lorelai!" She gasped. "What are you doing here! Oh god! What the hell happened?!" Her arms scooped underneath her and lifted her up, mind racing and wondering what to do with her. Could she take her to the hospital? Did they fix sorcerers there? What about the questions they'd ask about how, and where. What should she do?!

Lorelai: Lorelai’s ears were ringing from the blast so she didn’t recognise the voice as it spoke to her, she could barely make out the words and so wasn’t even sure that she was the one the woman was speaking too. She knew it was a woman that held her though as she didn’t have the form of a man, even with her eyes closed shut she knew this as the ample bosom was hard to miss. She groaned to be held and tried to fight against the stranger that held her, even though she had very little strength to fight with. She opened her mouth to speak but there were no words, as the shock of what had happened began to set in.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: As CC's eyes ran over Lorelai's body she saw the bullet wound in her stomach and that settled it. She used celerity and ran straight to the hospital, bursting through the doors and babbling about a random hate crime mugging or something she'd seen and how they had to help her. A stretcher was wheeled out and Lorelai was placed onto it and then whisked off into the bowels of the hospital

Lorelai: Lorelai felt the movement and so knew she was in the arms of a vampire but it made little to no sense to her that she was then handed over to others and placed on a hard surface. She wondered if more vampires worked at Silks and if there was a rule about not feeding from the patrons, but then she slipped unconscious again as the prodding and the probing caused her too much pain.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC just sat in the waiting room and waited, worried sick and planning all sorts of painful deaths if she found out who'd planted the traps.

Lorelai: She had no idea how long she’d been out but when she woke up, groggy from the drugs, she began to panic. She was in a hospital, this she knew, but she’d never actually been in one before. She couldn’t smell the usual stringent cleaners, as her hose felt sore, she had a tube going into the needle at her wrist and machines were beeping up and down the room, echoing back at her. This marked one good thing at least, her hearing was starting to return to normal. “Ana?” she choked, her throat was dry and talking hurt. “Please… Ana?” she looked at the nurse that came towards her, her eyes wide with fear but the platitudes didn’t help to sooth her.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC hadn't been allowed to go back and see her as she wasn't 'family' or listed on the next of kin contact list. So she'd been forced to continue sitting and waiting in the waiting room, glowering at the receptionist and the guard who were keeping her out.

Lorelai: The nurse gave Lorelai some water and waited patiently while she tried her best to describe her girlfriend. Lorelai was sure that no-one could miss her, not the way she dressed or held herself, she was far too confident to slink into the background of any setting. She was told that only family were allowed in and so she insisted that CC was all she had and that she needed to see her. Armed with a name and a vague description of the woman, the nurse went into the waiting room but not seeing anyone of that description turned to go back into the ward. Before going through the doors however, she turned to speak to those at reception giving the description of the woman and saying that Lorelai was awake and asking for this Ana; should she stop by.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC heard Lorelai's name at the desk and was immediately on her feet and up there. "What? What's happened to Lorelai? Can I see her?"

Lorelai: “I’m sorry miss but I can’t give out any information regarding a patient to anyone but family. The patient is however awake and asking for someone called Ana. Do you know who that is? We don’t appear to have any contact information for this patient.” The receptionist was as polite and forthcoming as she could be under the circumstances and certainly couldn’t be expected to know that this was the Ana Lorelai wanted to see. What with the place being a bit of a zoo, she’d had to scribble the vague description on a note pad, as five minutes from now, she’d have no idea what she’d even been told.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Yes. I..... was sent by Ana" She said, trying to use her powers to persuade the woman to let her through. And then described what she normally looked like, hoping it would work.

Lorelai: The woman wanted to argue with the female but for some reason felt compelled to listen to her. She had a lot of work to be getting on with and didn’t want to be bothered by situations like this. “Okay you can go in but be quick,” the receptionist warned. Lorelai was on ward with at least 7 other patients in and she didn’t know what scared her more, the condition of her own body or that of those around her. She’d been so focused on trying to find Ana, she hadn’t even stopped to think about the baby and her hand rest guiltily on the tender area as she waited impatiently to catch sight of another nurse to answer her questions.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC nodded her head and grinned, quickly slipping past the receptionist and up the stairs, finally finding the right ward. She hurried in and checked each bed until she found Lorelai, sweeping the curtain around them to give them some privacy as she looked at her in concern. "Are you ok 'ell? The baby? ******* hell I'm going to murder a ****!"

Lorelai: Lorelai curled herself into a ball as some stranger started drawing the curtains around them. She didn’t know who she was or what was going but then she heard the voice and while her hearing still wasn’t perfect there was something familiar in it. “Ana?” she asked unable to believe that this lump of a woman was her angel.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC looked at her, confused, having forgotten that she wasn't looking like herself. Reaching out, she caressed 'ell's cheek as she always did and whispered. "'Ell? You sure you're ok? What's wrong?"

Lorelai: Lorelai pulled away from the woman as while the words were right, she looked wrong. “Who are you?” she croaked out, her eyes looking around for a way of escape in case it were needed.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: The penny finally dropped and CC smiled, letting herself shrink back to normal having totally forgotten about her client with the whole bombs and stuff. "Better babe?"

Lorelai: After gawking at her like she was losing her mind Lorelai realised this was another one of CC’s powers, the power was an actual chameleon. She nodded and opened her arms to her wanting to be held as she knew she was about to start crying; something she was likely about to do anyway as curling up the way she did had caused her a little pain as the drugs were starting to wear off.

--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC slid onto the bed up by Lorelai's head and gently gathered her into her arms, caressing her hair softly. She bent down, letting her lips kiss Lorelai's head and rest there

Lorelai: Lorelai began to weep, partly because she was happy to see CC and partly because she finally felt safe in the large, sterile environment within which she’d awoken. “Ana… I didn’t ask about the baby.” The confession came in a whisper, as talking in hushed tones was easier on her vocal chords. She was okay, Ana was okay and now she had to know about their child.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "It's ok. It doesn't mean anything." She mumbled into her hair. "You'll be on strong pain killers and ****. Not thinking straight. You want me to see if I can shake some **** up?"

Lorelai: She nodded. “Please. I need to know.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC nodded and carefully slipped out from under Lorelai and went to scare some info out of a nurse.

Lorelai: Lorelai lay back on the bed that she found to be incredibly uncomfortable; either through design or through her injuries. She began taking stock of the bandages and marks and any area that caused her to wince if she touched it. When she was done her hands came to rest on her stomach and she waited anxiously for Ana’s return.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC had managed to find a nurse and was currently having a...... heated discussion with him, trying to get him to tell her what the **** was going on with Lorelai. He seemed disinclined to actually do as she wanted, and she was resisting the overwhelming urge to lift him up by his neck and pin him to the wall. In the end, she tried another tack and cast pacification on him while changing her attitude and becoming all sweet and ever so worried. Finally he agreed to help her and pulled out Lorelai's notes, reading them over. It seemed that the baby was fine, and she'd been exceptionally lucky with the gunshot just missing anything serious by mms. Grinning from ear to ear, CC nodded her head, thanked him and then went back to fine Lorelai

Lorelai: Lorelai was internally talking to her baby, her hands on her stomach. She was reassuring her child that she did in fact want them and that she would try to be a better mother by the time they arrived, as long as they arrived. This was her main concern, that they survived. The guilt she felt for having not asked immediately about her child shamed her as she’d put seeing Ana before knowing if her child was well. She wasn’t even sure what was wrong with her, she hadn’t asked that either but it was too late to tell CC that now and have her find that out for her too.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC came back into the room and slipped in behind Lorelai's curtain, retaking her postion beside her and scooping her into her arms with a kiss to her head. "It's fine. Baby is fine. Just. As are you. Though they had to give you some blood and remove..... remove shrapnel from your body"

Lorelai: The moment she saw CC, she wanted her to be holding her and just like that she was. She rested against her and got as comfortable as she could on the thin mattress and sighed softly. “Thank you. I’m so happy you are here. Did anyone else get hurt?” Her mind was beginning to clear now and focusing was easier, even if the pain was worsening. “Is Leo okay?”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Yes" She answered about others being hurt and then shrugged about Leo. "He'll be fine." She didn't much care about anyone else. It was Lorelai she was worried about - especially after she'd seen with a glance that the club would be fine after a bit of redecoration. She'd just have to play it off as a special effect malfunction.

Lorelai: Lorelai closed her eyes and held on to CC. “If you need to go… I’ll understand just… Don’t let them keep me here… Okay? I don’t want to stay here.” She would of course understand if CC had things to go and take care of, she was a busy woman after all, and Lorelai wanted to go home anyway. The hospital bed wasn’t the comfiest of places to sleep and while she wasn’t as tired as she had been, she’d of liked the option of sleeping in her own bed given the choice.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "You can't go home. Not yet. They have checks and all sorts to do, make sure you're not in shock or have any internal bleeding. **** like that. So you're here for the night."

Lorelai: Lorelai’s heart sank hearing this. “But I don’t want to be here. Don’t make me stay here. Please?” Her fear showed in her words, and even though it hurt to do so, she hugged CC a little tighter.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC shook her head, her face set firmly. "No. You're staying. It's where you need to be. Where you're safe and looked after."

Lorelai: “But I’m uncomfortable here and there’s strange noises and no… atmosphere. This place feels threatening to me. I don’t like it Ana.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Tough." She said, but kissed her head again. "And what do you mean no atmosphere?"

Lorelai: “This place has no warmth to it. The energies are all wrong. They’re missing,” she tried to explain. “I’ll suffocate here if you leave me. They can’t keep me. I’m sure of this. I can leave. I have to leave.” The way she was babbling she may have sounded crazy but she wasn’t crazy, she just didn’t like the place. The sterile building was devoid of the energies of nature and she was sure she’d find no peace while within its walls.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC shook her head. "I'm sorry, but I ******* care what happens to you and I won't bloody well let anything happen to you. You're bastarding well staying here where they can look after you properly. Lorelai - you were shot and blown up! You're sure as **** staying ******* put!"

Lorelai: Lorelai pouted. The moment CC left she was going to be out that door even if she had to crawl out on her hands and knees. Her woman could move like lightning, she didn’t need to be in the hospital, one words to CC and she could be brought back. Even if CC was working she was sure she could phone her. She didn’t want to be poked and prodded anymore.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC couldn't read her mind and couldn't really see her face, but she knew a huff when she saw one. "'Ell. It's the best thing for you!" She purred softly in her ear, fingers caressing the non-burnt and injured bits.

Lorelai: She didn’t care. She was going. Her and the baby were fine, so she had no reason to linger there. She began to remember why she’d gone to the club in the first place and was glad that CC couldn’t see her face, as it would have likely given away something else that she was thinking. Despite the ordeal itself, this was what she’d wanted in a way, as she now lay in CC’s arms.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Well, the good thing is - I don't have a club to go back to. Which means I can stay here with you all night."

Lorelai: “But you’ll leave in the morning… You’ll have too. Are they going to make me spend the day here too?” She still didn’t sound impressed by it all and she was slightly worried that CC was going to be mad at her when she realised she’d dug the items out from under the chair.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "They'll keep you here for as long as they need to. until you're ell enough to leave. And I want you to stay here babe. Please."

Lorelai: “I don’t want to be here alone Ana. I’ll die. And this mattress is horrible.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "You're not going to die and the mattress is fine. Stop being a drama queen"

Lorelai: “You aren’t listening to me,” she said ignoring the drama queen comment as she wasn’t entirely sure what one of those was. “I guess I’ll ring the main hall and have my mother come and get me then. They won’t argue with her once she explains how our community works.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC, her emotions already all over the place, fumed. Getting up sharply she moved to face Lorelai and glared at her. "Then phone your ******* mother. Cause I'm obviously not good enough. You want her for the baby, you want her to get you out of here. **** me. I'm ******* nothing right?! Just a bit of ******* fun for you. Literally. Your late onset bastarding teenage rebellion!" She turned and headed for the curtain, swishing it aside. "Good to know where I ******* stand!"

Lorelai: “Wait Ana. Don’t go. I don’t want to be alone here.” She sighed, she’d have to ring her mother regardless this was the sort of thing you couldn’t write in a letter, not when you had to convince someone that everything really was okay and that you were fine. Lorelai had sat up too quickly to protest CC’s leaving and so her head spun and her muscles ached, the pain was far more intense if she moved too quickly and she was fighting to stay upright, her hands now behind her on the bed.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC wasn't listening, she was too mad. Every single time something happened, Lorelai wanted to call her mother or move her mother in or go and visit her **** sucking mother. She was SICK of it. One of these nights soon, she was going to find this mother, and the baby daddy, and kill them both.

Lorelai: Well that was that. If Ana was leaving so was she. It was that simple. So with no small amount of effort she pulled the needle from her arm, and began the task of getting out of bed; a task that ended with her on all fours in the most unattractive position possible as the hospital nightgown did little to protect any modesty it the back. Hoisting herself up with the bed for support, she began to rather shakily move towards the end of the bed. Much to the displeasure of a nurse, who had heard the commotion and come to see what was happening. “I’m going home,” Lorelai told her, trying to get the woman to release her arm. “You cannot stop me if I do not want to be here. It’s kidnapping. You’re holding me against my will,” she complained, still only just managing to stand on her own two feet.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC had sat herself down in the hallway, so was unaware of the fact Lorelai was trying to escape, despite what she'd said.

Lorelai: “I am not your prisoner. I’ll sign whatever you want me to sign,” she nodded resolutely and propped herself at the edge of the bed having been told she could sign herself out against doctor’s orders. While one nurse tried to persuade her to sit in a wheelchair, another ran out to reception and began telling her colleagues about the lunatic who was signing herself out against medical advice. “The woman can barely stand but I don’t think we can stop her,” she commented as she snatched up the appropriate forms and headed back to the ward.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC heard the nurse and knew what was happening. Her hand snaked out and grabbed the forms, ripping them up. "She's going ******* nowhere. She told you about me, right? Told you that I'm her kin?" The nurse nodded her head. "Well, I'd like her held for psychiatric reasons. You said yourself, she's a lunatic, trying to sign herself out like that. Well, she's not well. And I think she might have hurt herself on purpose. She needs.... observation." It was a lie, but it seemed to have worked as the nurse turned back to the desk and picked up the phone

Lorelai: Lorelai had no idea what CC had said and done, so when the nurse returned with two rather large orderlies, all Lorelai could do was try to delay them. She demanded, as best she could in the state she was in, to dissuade them. When that didn’t work and they began to restrain her she told them to ring her mother, as Ana had no right to do this to her. In situation like this, they were prepared for violence and so had a syringe standing by to sedate her but they were hesitant to use it on her as she was pregnant. Lorelai was highly emotional and had begun to weep but she wasn’t fighting them off and eventually sunk into the wheelchair when directed to do so. She wasn’t sure what hurt more at this point, the pain of her injuries or the betrayal of her lover, not that it would matter, as she was going to be put on suicide watch for twenty-four hours, no visitors allowed, so she’d have plenty of time to mull this over.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC was standing in the corridor, watching as Lorelai was wheeled out. "I'll come back for you when you're better." she said definitively.

Lorelai: Lorelai refused to even look at CC as she was wheeled past, she was defeated and in pain and she knew she was going to have to spend the next twenty-four hours alone and in a place that was literally destroying her soul.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "I promise" She called after her, as she vanished off around the corner. And despite the face and the huff - CC was absolutely sure she'd done the right thing.

24 hours later...

Lorelai: Hell. She’d been to hell. No. This was worse than that for her. This was purgatory. She’d been left to suffer for whet felt like forever. She’d tried meditating but she couldn’t get comfortable and the pain kept breaking through her concentration. She couldn’t sleep as the mattresses of this ward were just as bad as the last. The psychiatrist she saw said that while she showed no signs of wanting to harm herself but that she didn’t have the normal (and therefore more healthy) fear of death. This information wasn’t new to Lorelai and she barely responded to what the nurses said as the doctor finally signed her release papers, she was just happy to be free. When asked if they could call anyone to collect her she said no and that she was alone. (CC was effectively dead to her. She had no interest in seeing the woman that had betrayed her). When asked if they should call a taxi she’d shaken her head, telling them she had no money on her so she’d be walking home. Despite the fact the woman was clinically sane, there was quite clearly something wrong with her. Lorelai also had the interesting issue of what she’d be leaving in, as her clothes had been ruined in the blast and then taken as evidence. Thankfully for her, the nursing staff had been kind enough to dress her with some items from the lost and found; a man’s jumper (green) that was several sizes too big for her and could have been worn as a dress and a pair of grey, oil stained sweatpants, also several sizes too large, but they fit over the supportive plastic boot they had placed on her leg. She’d pulled the drawstring on the sweatpants tight enough that if she had of been allowed to walk out of the place, that they wouldn’t have slipped down over her hips. Once in the wheelchair, the orderly began wheeling her towards the main entrance, this was as much an act of kindness as it was a health and safety thing, so Lorelai sat back and waited for her chance to slip out into the night. Had she of been smart, she’d of found a way to stay until dawn, but Lorelai’s fear of the place overrode her rational mind and the fact that CC might be waiting for her never crossed her mind.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC had had a horrible day's sleep. The look on Lorelai's face had haunted her dreams and given her nightmares. Funny that something as inane and boring as a facial expression would give her nightmares after all she'd seen and done in her life. But it did and it had. She'd been awake earlier than normal, and had experienced the shifting from one place to another while awake - which was the weirdest thing ever. And as soon as it was dark enough. She'd been out the door and to the hospital to find Lorelai. She'd checked at the front desk and had been assured that the woman was still there, so now all she needed to do was wait for those doors to open and for her to emerge.

Lorelai: As they crossed the matting by the door, the pressure plate beneath it activated the big glass doors and Lorelai was wheeled just across the threshold. “Are you sure you’re all right to take it from here Miss,” the orderly asked. “I’m quite good. Thank you. I’m much stronger than I look,” she said weakly. If she needed the added strength or willpower she was able to boost them a little but for now she’d decided to try and make do without her powers. Not expecting to see CC, Lorelai hadn’t even looked around for her and so began to push herself to her feet with the steady hand of the orderly to help her.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC saw her there as soon as she came through the doors, so was at her side in seconds. The hands that Lorelai felt helping her up weren't those of the orderlies but they were actually CC's. Once she was to her feet, CC smiled and leant in, kissing her head as the orderly left. "I missed you babe! Ready to go home?"

Lorelai: The lips on her head had her pulling away before she even knew whose lips they were. She wasn’t sure what to say to the woman and was determined not to look at her. With her eyes firmly fixed on the floor (and taking in more than a little of CC’s toned calves) she replied in a tone so bereft of emotion that her voice didn’t even sound as if it were hers. “I’m sorry but I no longer have a home here in the city.” She tried to pull away from CC and walk in the opposite direction to the woman, even if that meant she might be walking the long way round to the station.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC blinked in surprise and stood there stunned for a moment as she watched Lorelai walk out of the hospital by herself. However, she soon pulled herself together and with a frown, hurried after her. "What in the **** do you mean you don't have a home here anymore? Course you damn well do. With me! Was your head knocked in the explosion or something?"

Lorelai: “A home is a place you feel safe,” the unemotional tone continued, “shared with those that you love and those who love you. So I say again. I have no home in this city.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Why the **** not? You've got all of that. Now for ****'s sake. Stand still!"

Lorelai: Lorelai hobbled on, still ignoring to bring her eyes up from the pavement before her. “Yesterday I had a home. Today I do not. I cannot live with someone I cannot trust.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC simply moved to stand in front of her, adjusting her position if Lorelai did to force her into a stop. "Why the **** don't you trust me?!"

Lorelai: With her path blocked at every turn, Lorelai gave up with a sigh and froze. “You betrayed me,” she replied, still unable to look at the woman.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Did I ****!" CC said, arms folding across her chest and looking at her in disbelief.

Lorelai: No longer needing to see the direction in which she walked, she closed her eyes, her head still down as if she were watching the pavement. “You had me locked up. Alone. In a place so devoid of life I thought I’d die.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She snorted at that. "That's a bit ******* dramatic isn't it!"

Lorelai: “You have no idea who I am or what you put me through. You didn’t do what was best for me. You didn’t support me. I will never trust you again.” Her emotion began to seep through, and the hurt she felt showed as her voice trembled now as she spoke.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Your leg was hanging off, you were close to ending up with a ******* miscarriage, you were burned and shot - and you wanted to ******* walk out like there was nothing wrong! I ******* did what was best for you under the circumstances. You should be ******* grateful. Not bitchy!"

Lorelai: “Grateful,” she sighed. “I should be grateful that I was left to suffocate for twenty-four hours? I cannot be thankful for that CC. I asked you not to leave me. You left. I tried to go home. You had me committed. Now please step aside. I wish to go home.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Our home is the opposite direction. You didn't ******* suffocate - that's just being dramatic again. ****'s sake! And I had to leave, no option - remember? But I was there until I just about passed out, and back as soon as I ******* woke up. So don't you damn well dare say I wasn't there!"

Lorelai: “I told you. I don’t have a home in the city,” she opened her eyes, took a deep cleansing breath and then forced herself to look at CC. “I was alone CC. You walked out and then you betrayed me. Had you of stayed with me, none of this would have happened. I didn’t want to be there. I don’t like those places. You have no idea how that place feels to me. Do you remember how it feels to breathe CC? Do you?” Her voice trembled. “Do you know how it feels to have the life crushed from you? For your heart to slow… to gasp… unable to take in enough air to satisfy your needs. That is how I feel in hospital. You should know by now how important energy is to me. Do you have any idea how the energies in that place feel to me? How they affect me?”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Right. ********. For one. Second. Your ******* leg was hanging off and you were bloody well shot! Where in the **** did you think you'd go?" She was pissed off and her eyes were changing while people were staring. She grabbed Lorelai, threw her over her shoulder and then vanished down an alley before activating celerity and vanishing to Silks and her soundproofed room. Gently, she lay Lorelai down on the bed and then locked the door tight "Right. Now no-one will ******* hear us. So seriously. What the **** was I supposed to do to ******* keep you safe?!"

Lorelai: Lorelai groaned as she was hoisted over CC’s shoulder and then she felt the rush of air about her, stealing the air from her lungs. Having been placed on the bed, she began to pull herself to her feet once more as she listened to CC dismiss her once more. “If you listened to me. You wouldn’t need to ask me that. We don’t go to hospitals CC. We treat our own. I’m going home where I won’t feel suffocated.” She made her way towards the door, hobbling as best she could, with each stride obviously causing her pain.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC wasn't worried because the door was locked and there was no way Lorelai could break it down or be heard. So instead, she simply jumped onto the couch and lay down on it, pinching her nose. "And when in the **** have any of your people been shot in the stomach, nearly had their leg sliced off via bear trap and been involved in multiple ******* explosions eh?"

Lorelai: “You don’t think accidents happen when you tend your own lands? We do use large pieces of machinery. Again I say. You know nothing. You may have saved my life but you destroyed the love I had for you.” She was struggling with the door and not having much luck getting it open began looking for something she could use to pick the lock with; finally it seemed her newly learned skills might be of some use.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "And you've told me about your fear of hospitals before when? I was supposed to know this how? Nothing has been destroyed. You're just in a ******* huff."

Lorelai: “I begged you not to leave me,” she reminded CC as she began rather cautiously rummaging through the nearest set of drawers.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "And what? You'd rather I passed out in front of all those fuckers? Then phased out? Then they'd all have to ******* die to keep the secret of what I am? That's really what you wanted?"

Lorelai: “You were supposed to stay till dawn. You could have asked Leo to keep me company in the day.” She picked up a couple of pegs from the drawer and snapped the casings around them before she began trying to straighten out the metal enough that she might be able to work the mechanism. Unfortunately she hadn’t paid much attention to the lock itself so as yet had no idea if these bent pieces of metal would even be useable as a set of lock picks.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: The lock was a solid turnkey dead bolt that would be too heavy to turn with some little wires. But CC was keeping a close eye on her, just in case she found a way to unlock the door. "I couldn't stay till dawn. You didn't ******* want me. You wanted your ******* mother and you wanted to leave the damn hospital. I couldn't have that. Either of them. So I kept you ******* safe the only way I knew how. Just like now." She muttered the last bit, extending her power to pacify Lorelai, hoping it would make her less determined.

Lorelai: “I wanted my mother because she would listen to me and what I want. She wouldn’t force me to stay in place that would destroy my soul. You don’t listen to me Cinnamon. I can’t be with someone that doesn’t listen to me.” The pacification began to work on her but since she was already pretty calm, it possibly wasn’t as effective as it could have been. She was so focused on her need to escape, to leave, that she was still trying to pick the lock.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "You do it every ******* time. Every goddamn time it's "I want my Mum". How the **** fo you think that makes me feel?!"

Lorelai: “How do you think it feels to be ignored?”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "You wouldn't be ignored if you'd ******* be sensible and not throw your ******* mother in my face all the time!"

Lorelai: There was something in CC’s voice besides anger and it was like it called to Lorelai. She ceased her work on the lock, though she was sure she almost had it, and sat on the floor. Lorelai’s legs were twisted beneath her and she was causing herself pain to sit as she was but she didn’t move. Her hands rested, with their tools, in her lap. “My mother gave birth to me Cinnamon. I love her. She loves and respects me. My entire life she has been there for me. I trust her to support me. I will always need her. If you ever needed to accept that fact it was yesterday. Today it no longer matters what you desire.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "You moved here to get away from her. To stand on your own two feet and learn about life on your own, away from the family. Yet every ******* time something goes a bit wrong, your first instinct is to call for your ******* mother. Not me. Never me. Your mother!"

Lorelai: The pain began to get to her and she had to adjust herself so that she no longer sat on her injured leg. “You were with me Cinnamon. You left. I had you. You abandoned me. You refused to listen to me when I told you that I could not stay in that place. That it would kill me. You think I say things for effect when I’m trying to explain to you how I feel.” Her eyes were on the skirting of the bed, her fingers working the metal over as she occasionally jabbed herself in the tips of her fingers to re-direct her attention.

--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay—

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Are you ******* dead? No. So don't pull that ****. They saved your life and the life of our kid. Without them, one of both of you would be dead."

Lorelai: “I was perfectly well yesterday and while I may be breathing I assure you I am very much dead inside. You still aren’t listening to me.” She curled her knees up to her chin and wrapped her arms around her legs, her eyes still not daring to look in CC’s direction.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "And you're not ******* listening to me either! So don't play the ******* wounded party. You started this ****!"

Lorelai: “I wish to leave now.” It wasn’t entirely true, she wasn’t sure she could leave the room under her own willpower but still the words came out, as this had been a fervent desire for her only a few minutes before.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Tough."

Lorelai: “I need to heal. Somewhere safe. Somewhere with a positive atmosphere. I need to leave.” She whimpered.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Somewhere away from me you mean!" CC huffed stroppily

Lorelai: “The energy here is wrong. Please let me go. You have no idea how this feels for me. What I’ve been through and endured. Please Cinnamon. Let me out.” She turned and placed her right hand to the door, half clawing at it like a desperate animal to illustrate her need to be anywhere but where she was.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC just sat there silently and closed her eyes, so annoyed with the woman for how she was behaving and the fact she could tell where her mind was in the way she was calling her Cinnamon. Not to mention the fact she wanted away from her. And she couldn't have that. She couldn't have her leaving her, she was hers.

Lorelai: “Please,” she really stressed the word. This word place wasn’t home, it was where CC worked and while the energies weren’t exactly negative for the most part, she didn’t like this room as she knew what went on in here. “If you ever loved me. Please don’t keep me here.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Don't even pull that **** with me. You know I ******* love you! But I'm not letting you walk away from me."

Lorelai: “Why did you bring me here? You know I don’t like it here. Was this to punish me?” she asked, still not angry but obviously conflicted emotionally.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "It was the most secure place I knew. To keep you..... safe."

Lorelai: “Let me out. Please,” she was turning into a broken record and she knew it but she couldn’t stop herself. “Please don’t do this to me. I can’t stay here. You are destroying my soul.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Why?"

Lorelai: “Why what?” she ceased her clawing at the door and momentarily looked at CC before turning away again.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Why should I let you out? So you can run away from me? Run back to your goddamn mother and escape reality? Why and what?"

Lorelai: “If I promise not to leave tonight will you take me somewhere else?”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "No. Because that's too ******* specific and you'll just leave when I pass out. Don't try and play me for the ******* fool."

Lorelai: “Then name your terms. Just please. Don’t keep me here. Don’t do this to me again.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Never leave me and forget your ******* family exists"

Lorelai: “Be reasonable. Please? I am not giving up my family.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "I'm being as reasonable as you ******* are!"

Lorelai: “If you do not let me out of here I promise you I shall never forgive you.” She was firm in what she said but it almost contradicted what she’d said earlier about her no longer loving CC.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Well, I've got nothing to ******* lose then have I. Seeing as how you already said that, or something ******* like that."

Lorelai: “CC if you want any chance of salvaging our relationship you will let me out of here now.” She was quite firm in her demand but it didn’t have the impact she intended as she struggled to get to her feet.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "And where the **** we going to go?"

Lorelai: “To your apartment.”
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "You mean OUR apartment?"

Lorelai: “Right now I have no home. I told you that already. But yes. There would acceptable.” She was on her feet, one hand against the door to help her keep her balance. She’d had a very long night and was still yet to sleep, it was really just the pain that was keeping her conscious at this point.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "It's your ******* home too. No two ways about it!"

Lorelai: “Please don’t keep me here CC,” her voice softened but she wasn’t ready to call CC by the names she loved her as.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "That's not what I want to ******* hear." She grumped, folding her arms over her chest.

Lorelai: “You want me to lie?”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC just looked hurt and rolled onto her side, facing away from Lorelai.

Lorelai: “Please CC,” she began to hobble across the room towards her. “Please don’t keep me here.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She just ignored the woman, totally upset.

Lorelai: “CC?” she lay her hand on CC’s shoulder. “I can’t stay here. Please don’t make me. Take me anywhere else… Just don’t make me stay here. Right now you’re just proving that you don’t listen to me or respect my wishes.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC just held out the key to her and said nothing, didn't even look at her. She was too disgusted and upset.

Lorelai: Lorelai took the key and hobbled back across the room to unlock the door. She put the key in the lock, turned the key and then paused. “You don’t… want to come with me?” It was strange, she wanted to leave more than anything in the world, her hand was on the door handle and yet she couldn’t stand to open it.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "You obviously don't ******* want me. You've made that bastarding clear!"

Lorelai: She turned the handle but froze before opening the door. “I… I feel like I’m being torn in two. I need to leave. I have to leave. Why can’t I do this?”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Because you were lying when you said you didn't love me!"

Lorelai: Lorelai shook her head, she knew that wasn’t it. “I could walk away from you before. I did. But now… It feels like there’s something wrong with me.” The thought of leaving lifted her spirits, she needed to be free of that place but then she couldn’t bring herself to actually leave. She wasn’t aware of the power that was cast upon her, she was still figuring those things out and so she was confused by it all as her heart and mind were telling her one thing and her body seemed to be telling her something different.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Come back to me. Come here. Sit with me"

Lorelai: She let the door return to the closed position and rested her head against the door frame. She wanted to leave, had to go and yet here she still was, CC calling to her from across the room like some sulking siren. She closed her eyes and swallowed as she tried to resist going back to the woman that betrayed her but it was all too much and she was soon making her way across the room to her. Without saying a word she sat herself by CC’s back and waited to see what the woman might say next, that was if she’d say anything at all.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC smiled and rolled over, curling herself around Lorelai where she sat, her arms gently looping around her waist and drawing her close. Her head leant in, and softly kissed Lorelai's knee, while her fingers caressed her waist. "I love you babe. I only did what was for your best"

Lorelai: Lorelai’s body stiffened as CC wrapped herself around her and she ached from the act of doing so as part of her wanted to melt into her. “But it wasn’t what was best for me. That’s my point. I could have gone home with you. Leo could have watched me. If something was wrong we could have gone back. All you did was…” she couldn’t bring herself to finish the sentence, she didn’t want to argue, she just wanted to rest.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "You gave me no choice, no chance to think" She purred softly, kissing her leg again. "I had to make a split second decision. To keep you alive and keep you safe. You're alive. You're safe. So I obviously did ok." Her fingers continued to caress, her voice so sultry as it oozed through her lips to slip into Lorelai's ear.

Lorelai: “Fine. You did what you thought was best but you didn’t listen to me. You haven’t apologised for what you’ve done. You haven’t promised to never leave me alone in that place again.” CC was fighting dirty and Lorelai knew she should get up, pull away and walk to the other side of the room but instead she just sat there, unable to force herself into action.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "I'm not going to apologise for something I don't think was wrong. That wouldn't be fair to you. if I think I've done something wrong - then I'll apologise. Then you know I mean it." Her lips ran over Lorelai's leg and then up her arm until CC was sitting up, as her lips trailed right up her arm, shoulder, neck, jawline, cheek and then hovered as she waited with a little smile on her face. All it would take was a turn of Lorelai's head and their lips would meet - that's how close CC was to her.

Lorelai: It was a trap. She was certain of it. She was unable to make herself leave, she wanted to be with CC and she was making it so very difficult for her to resist. “You did something wrong. I’ve told you that.” She knew what CC wanted her to do but she couldn’t, she had to make the woman understand the pain she’d put her through. Her right hand curled into a lose fist and she brought it up to her mouth, so that she could chew on her index finger in her usual, awkward way; the act helping to block her lips from trying to let the temptress win.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC just let out a light, tinkling spell of giggling and shook her head. She moved her head closer, using her upper body strength to twist and hold herself so that her face was just the other side of Lorelai's hand. Her eyes searched the other woman's with a mischievous twinkle as her lips kissed the chewed upon hand. "I kept you safe and alive the only way I knew how. There's nothing wrong with wanting to keep the one you love safe, is there? I'm sure you would do anything in your power to help me too, were the tables turned."

Lorelai: If CC cared to look deep enough into her eyes she’d of still seen the hurt in them. The spell she’d cast upon her was working more now due to their proximity and the fact that Lorelai was exhausted but her feelings were so strong in this that there was no way for them to be muted entirely. “If the shoe were on the other foot I never would have left your side,” she mumbled, her lips still pressed to her fingertips. “I’d of respected your wishes.” There was no hint of a lie in her voice and while she tried to pull back from CC, she didn’t really seem to have anywhere to go.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC just pressed forwards, not letting Lorelai move too far away and shook her head. "You would have done if you'd had to have done as I had to. There was no option. Not physically nor..... well.... legally, I guess. I don't know the word. But the docs, they wouldn't let me in with you. And if you had my emotions, and I'd hurt you as you hurt me - you'd have done as you thought best. Just as I did. Besides." She smiled, tongue sliding over Lorelai's hand and into her balled fist in a simulated French kiss. "All's well that ends well. You're safe. You're alive. You're here. That's what matters."

Lorelai: She laughed and then pulled away shocked at her own behaviour, her hand now covering her mouth as if she were doing something impolite behind it. She didn’t want to laugh, she didn’t want to agree with CC, she didn’t agree with her. “I’m alive but I’m not safe.” She shook her head. “You’d do this to me again. And… I… I…” Her eyes began to tear; the whole ordeal had been so very hard on her. She began to wonder if she should give in, just for one night and leave tomorrow while the sun was up but even as she thought it she felt real physical pain from the idea.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Hush now" CC said softly, still in that seductive purr as she moved and drew Lorelai into her arms. One hand softly caressed her hair and the other was around her waist, holding her. And after a small smile, and just as Lorelai was tearing up and stuttering 'I', CC's lips found hers and encapsulated them in a long, slow, tender and loving kiss.

Lorelai: She was sure she’d held her hand to protect herself and yet somehow CC’s lips were on hers. She couldn’t breathe. She couldn’t think. The tears began to roll down her cheeks and even though she couldn’t fight herself anymore, she couldn’t kiss the woman back with any real conviction.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC just held her close, kissing her softly and letting her cry it all out and just..... get over it.

THE NEXT NIGHT...

Lorelai: How she wound up in their apartment she had no idea. She’d been so set on going home, back to her parents, that just being in the place felt a little odd. The spell CC had cast upon her had long since worn off and despite having slept for the majority of the day, she was still a little tired. Awake a few hours before the sun was due to set, Lorelai realised that her exit was barred, the door locked and CC’s minion was on the other side. More to prove a point than to actually leave, she then fetched her tools, picked the lock and pulled the front door open. “You could wait inside if you like,” she said to Leo as she began fixing them both something to eat.

Leo: "**** no!" He said as she opened the door, having been leaning on the opposite wall, waiting for her to open the door when he'd heard the clicking and shuffling that was going on. "And please don't make me try to restrain you or anything. She will, quite literally, kill me if she gets here and finds you gone and/or that door open"

Lorelai: She didn’t listen to his complaints, she wasn’t going to let him get in trouble but she did need CC to know that she was more than capable of leaving if she wanted too. While she didn’t condone violence, she was sure she’d be able to find a way around Leo if that was what she wanted. Besides, CC couldn’t watch her every minute of every day and she’d already missed another 2 days of work. At this point she was almost certain the store was looking for her replacement but she didn’t care to think about that right now. Lorelai hummed to herself as she made a very late breakfast that consisted of a bowl of cereal topped with fresh fruit (with soy milk of course), toast with vegan jam and a glass of fruit juice, half of which she loaded onto a tray. “You know it’s impolite to refuse a pregnant woman. I’m sure I’ve read that somewhere,” she put the tray on the floor by the door and then went to retrieve her own before returning and settling down to eat by the front door.

Leo: "Yeh, I don't give a ****. My life is more important than your feelings." He looked at the time on his phone and frowned. "And CC said she'd be back in like, 30 mins or something. So get the damn door closed and locked again! Please!"

Lorelai: Lorelai bit into a piece of toast and looked up at him from under her matted mane of hair she’d still yet to comb before shaking her head softly. Having chewed and swallowed the piece she’d torn off, she explained. “I’ll make sure I keep her attention away from you but I’m sorry I cannot close this door and lock it again. She has to know that if I want to leave I can, unless you like spending your days camped outside of our apartment?”

Leo: He shrugged his shoulders. "Then you'll see me beaten."

Lorelai: “I honestly don’t want that Leo. I like you. But she cannot hold me prisoner. If she threatens you I’ll put myself in her path. You can’t be held responsible for my actions. You’ve done your job. I’m still here after all. Correct?” She’d made too much and was almost full after the first piece of toast since she hadn’t eaten in the hospital and then she’d slept all day.

Leo: He just went silent and stood there waiting, staring down the corridor with a sigh as he wondered how bad it would be when CC got there.

Lorelai: “You probably should come over to the door though… I’m not very fast right now and it would help me if I didn’t have to cover quite so much ground to get between you. Since I’m sure you’ll want me on this side of the threshold when she arrives?” She was probably coming across as cruel but she was almost certain that she could persuade CC to leave the guy alone and if she didn’t, well it was just another reason for her to walk away when the time came. She began picking at the pieces of fruit in her bowl as she tried not to stare at her jailor.

Leo: He didn't look at her, refused to, and just folded his arms. She'd made it clear in his eyes that she was happy to have him beaten than to close and lock the door again. So she'd just dropped in his estimations.

Lorelai: He was even cuter when he was all pouty and brooding, she was positive she shouldn’t be enjoying his obvious distress but it was hard not to in that moment. It dawned on her that time in the city was indeed changing her, or perhaps it was the pregnancy hormones, but whatever it was she didn’t like it much. “Are you sure you work for CC?” she asked. “You haven’t tried to trick me or seduce me into doing what you want.” The question was a little brazen for her but she was at the point where she was almost beyond caring what with what she’d been through the last few days.

Leo: He just stared at her as if she were insane, in fact, in that moment, he was convinced she was. "You sure you should have been let out of the funny farm?"

Lorelai: That stung, she wasn’t crazy and it was obvious from the fact that he’d heard about it that CC was proud of the pain she’d caused. “I wouldn’t have had to have been locked up if she’d of stayed with me that night and let you sit with me during the day,” he’d obviously poked at a sore spot in her emotions as she put down a half-eaten strawberry and pushed herself up onto her feet.

Leo: "You know she tried right? But the docs wouldn't let her. It took all she had not to kill them so she could be with you. But she didn't, ‘cause she didn't think....." The lift went and he froze, but it wasn't CC so he continued. "You'd approve. She was ******* worried and stressed and helpless. Now you're acting like some spoiled brat and throwing it all back in her face."

Lorelai: She bent down to retrieve the tray as he gave CC’s side of what happened. “Did she tell you that before she had me committed for observation that she was with me, that she had me in her arms and then walked away? I tried to leave after that as hospitals are not healthy places for people like me. I’m too sensitive to the energy of others. And I’d begged her not to leave me. She’d do it again I’m sure and that’s why…” she paused, looked down at the tray and then back to him. “And that’s why I can’t stay with her.”

Leo: "Yeh, she told me. She also told me that you'd thrown her affections in her face first by wanting your mother as opposed to her. Which was why she walked away, because she was gutted. She's...... not like us. She's not had the same sort of life. So, her mind doesn't work like ours. It's a bit.... fucked up. But with you - she always means well."

Lorelai: She sighed, “I know. And I have been trying to understand her. I have. It’s just… I’m still working out how to separate who she is from what she does. She says I’m dramatic but she’s far worse than I could ever be. I have room for her and my family in my life but she doesn’t seem to want to see that.” She took her tray to the kitchen and then went back to retrieve Leo’s, which still stood untouched.

Leo: "You realise that by separating her job from her, the thing she's most proud of in the world and works so hard for to achieve and to make things better for everyone - you're telling her she's not good enough for you. That you're ashamed of what she does when she's so proud of what she's accomplished. Then, when you feel afraid or unsure - you want your family. Not her. While telling her she is family. And you think she's not going to over react and feel paranoid?"

Lorelai: “I can’t even begin to think of her with someone else Leo. It doesn’t matter if that’s for work or not. I have to separate what she does from who she is or I’d not be able to be with her. I can be proud of her for other reasons. Like for not killing the staff at the hospital. But I’m sure that was as much for her need to keep her secret as it was for me.” She picked up his tray and stood by the door watching him again, the way he moved, the way he looked, etc. “Leo?” she asked, aware of the fact that her cheeks were flushed. “What were your orders exactly? In regards to me.”

Leo: "I'm just saying. As an outsider looking in - you make out like what she and I do is dirty and horrible and you're ashamed of us, or anyone in the profession. And if you think her not killing the snots that talked to her like shite - probably for the same reason you think she's trash - was for her? Then you don't know her. She could have easily taken them aside and ended them. She's done it before. She didn't do it, for you. As for now. Why do you want to know?"

Lorelai: “I don’t care what you do Leo. The profession doesn’t worry me. It’s just… It’s hard to think of her with someone else. I can’t think of her with someone else. Do…you not understand that?” Lorelai disappeared for a moment, returning that tray to the kitchen, placing it next to the other one and then came back to the door. “And I wanted to know exactly what she asked of you so that I could perhaps lessen the trouble I’m about to get you into.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "What she does with others is business. What she does with you matters. It's totally different. For her, for me, for most of us. So no. I don't understand your issue with it at all. Get over it already." He smirked, but it soon fell as he noticed the lift whirring and coming up. And when the doors opened, he sighed, watching CC striding towards him. "As for my instructions, ask her yourself." He grumbled, looking right at CC's grumpy face as she came at him and punched him square in the face, flattening him. "You were ******* told not to open the ******* door Leo! You ******* failed me you waste of space!" She whirled on the balls of her feet to look inside, to see if Lorelai were still there or had escaped.

Lorelai: “CC no!” she cried out but it was too late. She didn’t usually shout so her raised voice must have sounded a little strained but she couldn’t believe what she’d seen. She moved to try and tend to Leo and see if he was alright. “Oh Leo are you okay? I’m so very sorry. I didn’t think she’d… I hoped she wouldn’t…” Lorelai turned to face CC, looking as hurt as if CC had punched her and not him. “He didn’t open the door Ana. I did.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: Leo brushed Lorelai's hands away from him and scowled at her. "I ******* told you what would happen. This black eye is on you. You might as well have done it yourself." He pulled himself to his feet and then just stalked off down the corridor, heels clipping away. CC just... herded Lorelai back into the apartment and shut the door behind them. She knew exactly who had opened the door, but it made no difference. Leo had had his orders and the consequences of breaking them had been laid out. It meant CC couldn't go back on it. It was a bad habit to get into - so when she said something, she saw it through.

Lorelai: “Thank you for making this easier on me,” she began the moment the door was closed. “I’m leaving. Right now,” she began to make her way to the bedroom to pack, something she should have done earlier instead of wasting her time talking to the male that would probably never speak to her again.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Oh for ****'s sake. We're not going through this again are we?" CC rolled her eyes and then sat on the back of the sofa, watching her. "What in the hell are you doing this for now?!"

Lorelai: Lorelai couldn’t believe that CC had no comprehension of what she’d done. “I was willing to talk to you about what happened at the hospital but now…” She hadn’t packed much, a change of clothes, her family photos and her toothbrush, that was all, but it was enough to get her home. “I don’t know how you could do that to me. You hurt him because of me. I’m responsible for his pain. I can’t have that. I can’t be the cause of someone else’s suffering. He’ll likely never talk to me again.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "What? Leo?" She snorted. "He's had worse. He'd have had worse if I didn't like him as much as I do." She shrugged her shoulders. "Don't worry about him. Besides, you're telling me he didn't tell you he'd be in **** about the door being open? You didn't choose to leave it open, knowing he'd be hurt? You made that choice Lorelai. Sure as **** wasn't me."

Lorelai: “I am not your prisoner,” she said making her way to the front door.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "That's not a ******* answer." She left it to the last possible moment, waiting to see if Lorelai would actually try to leave. Because if she did - CC had her speed with which to get in front of her, block her from leaving the apartment or even opening the door.

Lorelai: She had her hand on the door handle ready to pull the door open before CC blocked her path. “Get out of my way Cinnamon. Whatever we had is now over. You can go back to your life and I’ll go back to mine.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC just leant against the door, arms folded over her chest as she shook her head. "You are my life. So don't be ******* stupid. Just because you got your feelings butt hurt and your stubborn *** got someone punched for what? To make a point? Whoop tee doo. Stop trying to put all your **** on me and see your own fault in this!"

Lorelai: “I never believed you would hurt him before you let me explain,” her shoulders dropped and she went to the kitchen and began tidying away both trays of food, resigned already to the fact that she wouldn’t be leaving until sunrise.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Why?" She asked, not moving from her spot

Lorelai: “Because I believed that despite everything that you were good enough to allow me that. To allow him that. Punishing someone else for my actions is wrong. You know how I feel about violence and you made me responsible for his pain. Leo is the only other person in this city that I care about and now he’ll never trust me.” She began scraping food into the bin and staking the crockery and cutlery in the sink.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "How in the **** is that my issue? He told you he needed you to close and lock the door or he'd be hurt. You didn't give a ****. You knew the outcome of your actions, and you did it anyways. That's not my ******* issue. Not at all. You made that choice, you made that decision, knowing the outcome. You did it. Don't you dare ******* deflect that on me just cause you fucked up again!"

Lorelai: Very calmly, so as not to alert CC to what she was going to do, Lorelai began tidying up the counter. She was happy to take her share of the blame in it all but CC wouldn’t even realise the fact that she never should have had someone guarding the door to begin with. She wasn’t her possession and trying to make her one was just driving her away. Her hand was on the oven door, which she opened and looked inside, (partially out of habit and partially acting natural) and then without much further thought or consideration she stood up and slammed the thing shut, having put her other hand in the gap. CC had gotten her wish; she had assumed responsibility for her actions and punished herself accordingly, shattering several bones in her hand in the process. She tried not to scream out in pain but she didn’t have much luck suppressing it, as her body was still recovering from an abundance of other injuries. Sinking to her knees, her hand still trapped in place, she began to whimper and soon gave way to floods of tears.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC heard the slam and went to see what was going on. She raised an eyebrow at the scene before her, lost for words. "What in the actual **** have you done?"

Lorelai: “Re… addressed… the… balance.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "And do you feel better?"

Lorelai: “No…” Her shoulders heaved as she began to sob harder. There was nothing she could do to get through to CC and she was beginning to suspect that the woman would never allow her to leave. This realisation scared her, as it only left one avenue of escape and it would be harder to take her own life what with the child that grew inside her belly.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Well then. That was a bit stupid then, wasn't it." She was getting fed up with these games and had no idea what sort of psycho drugs the woman was on now. But whatever it was, she wanted the normal girl back again.

Lorelai: “Let… me… leave.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Nope. You said you didn't want me to leave you ever again. So I let you leave, it'll be the wrong thing to do. Again."

Lorelai: “I can’t… I can’t do this,” she tried to pull herself together, as she freed her hand from the oven door. That was that. She wouldn’t let her leave. She’d have no choice now but to free herself the only way she knew how. “You’re killing me,” she whispered as she nursed her broken hand.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "No. I'm not. You just don't get how the world works. You're ******* naive and idealistic. And while it's very cute and loveable - it ends up in situations like this where you just haven't thought about how **** works and happens."

Lorelai: “I can’t believe I thought I loved you,” she lay her head against the grill section of the oven and closed her eyes. There was a chance that she could perhaps get the woman to kill her, to take her life, at least the thought crossed her mind as she sat there. CC had no idea what love was, else she’d never have done what she did. She’d of let her leave. She’d want her to be happy and right now she was so very obviously miserable.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: That stung, a lot. And CC turned around and went back to her couch to lie down - her face like thunder as she silently fumed about all the really hurtful things Lorelai had said to her these past couple of days.

Lorelai: Lorelai got to her feet picked up her bag and made her way to the door again, as CC seemed to relax on the couch. She couldn’t go straight home of course, she’d have to have her hand looked at first and hope that they bought whatever lie it was she’d tell them about what had happened to it.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC just watched her, saying nothing and looking and feeling crushed - like a kicked puppy. The girl just didn't get it, didn't care, said she understood and then went back to the same old moans like a broken record. She'd tried reasoning. She'd tried arguing. She'd tried seduction. She'd tried her powers. But the woman was as stubborn as she was. But if she thought she'd be able to get to her family and be able to settle and be happy there - she had another thing coming. CC wouldn't allow that. Would never allow that.

Lorelai: Lorelai left, her bag over her shoulder, her injured hand cradled to her chest. At this point she was lucky to be walking let alone anything else. As she waited for the elevator she began going over her plan. First I’ll go to a drugstore and get something to splint my hand. Then I’ll book a hotel for the night. Then I’ll go to Silks and see if Leo will let me explain. I hope he does.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC got up from where she was lying and began to pack a bag. She'd memorised the address of Lorelai's folks, so was planning on heading there now, this minute, ending them all and then returning to the city as if nothing had happened. There were so many weapons to choose from, and her fingers lovingly caressed the blades as she picked which ones she wanted to take with her.

Lorelai: The drugstore was well stocked and despite the fact she was advised to go to the hospital to have the bones set, Lorelai managed to persuade the assistant to help her brace the hand there in the store. She wouldn’t have asked but she couldn’t go to the hospital again, not alone. With that task done, she realised she was probably closer to silks than the hotel she knew and so headed there first.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC had picked her two favourite blades and slipped one into her bag and another into her cleavage. Shrugging the bag onto her back, she left the apartment, left the building, and then set off for the wilderness - planning to celerity all the way there.

Lorelai: Having arrived at Silks. Lorelai spoke to a couple of the staff, asked about Leo and said she’d wait in CC’s room or office, whichever one she could get into the easiest. Then she just sat and waited.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC walked into the wilderness, looking to get away from humans before activating celerity. However, there were a few humans out taking a walk, so she had to keep on going at a normal pace. Meanwhile - a member of staff went backstage and fetched Leo, telling him that Lorelai was there to see him. He rolled his eyes and went to find her. Tonight, he had on his silver outfit - and he couldn't wait to see Lorelai's reaction to that one.

Lorelai: Lorelai had settle in in CC’s room but hadn’t had to wait long before Leo arrived. The moment she saw him her mouth fell open. He looks lickable. The thought had her flushed with colour and she had to cover her mouth with her good hand while she tried to compose herself. “I… Wow… Erm… I’m sorry.” She hadn’t moved at first, as despite the fact that she wanted to hug him and say she was sorry, she wasn’t sure if she’d ruin his “look.” Having finished saying what she hoped he’d hear, she finally moved to wrap her arms around him.

Leo: He'd opened the door and stepped inside, but only just. Leaning against the wall he just looked at her wondering what she was doing here. She waffled some.... rubbish and then walked over as if to hug him. However he put his hand out onto her shoulder and kept her at arm's length, stepping back with a frown. "What are you doing? Where's CC?"

Lorelai: “She’s at the apartment. Please let me apologise Leo. I tried to readdress the balance,” she indicated to her hand and then held her arms out to him again. “You don’t have to accept my apology but please allow me to make it.”

Leo: He noticed her hand and his eyes widened before looking back at her. "Do what now?"

Lorelai: “Apologise? I want to say I’m sorry and make sure you’re okay before I… leave.”

Leo: "No. Your hand. You tried to do what? And what do you mean leave?"

Lorelai: “Oh,” her cheeks burnt once more. “I… I took responsibility for my actions. I couldn’t take your pain. Or apologise. So… I slammed the oven door shut onto my hand. I’m so sorry for the pain she caused you. I truly am. I never… I would never… If I could go back I’d close the door. I really would. I’m so sorry.” She didn’t explain what she meant by leaving as she was sure he didn’t really want to know. If anything he’d probably try and persuade her to stay and she couldn’t have that.

Leo: "Well that's ******* stupid. Isn't it. It's not made me feel better, and it's made you feel worse. No good has come out of it at all. You were told what would happen - you didn't care." He shrugged his shoulders and looked at the time. "And what do you mean leaving? What sort of stupid plan is that?"

Lorelai: “Please don’t chastise me. I know what I did and I’ll spend the rest of my life trying to make amends for that. I never believed she would hurt you. I thought she’d allow me to explain,” she sighed and looked down, only looking away from his face meant that she was now staring at his body. She had to shake herself out of the stupor that put her in before she could continue. “And I’m leaving. I’m not sure where I’ll go yet. I can’t go home, however much I want to. If I returned looking like this they’d have too many questions. I think… I think I’ll head south. Make a fresh start somewhere else.”

Leo: "Don't be stupid. On either count. I failed the task set me, she punished me. It's how it works. And why the **** are you leaving? What's wrong with here?"

Lorelai: “I can’t be with someone who doesn’t listen and can hurt someone else for another person’s actions. This city belongs to them. I don’t want to be here. Not without her. Please… Just let me hug you?”

Leo: "So.... she wants you to be here, with her. You want to be with her. But you're choosing to leave both her and the city? And as for hurting folks - that was nothing. I deserved a hell of a lot worse. That was restrained. And no, I'm not hugging you when you're ******* up. Again"

Lorelai: “Fine. Can I at least look at what she did to you?” She reached out her hand to touch the area of his face where CC’s fist had connected with it. “Does it hurt? Are you in much pain?”

Leo: "No. Not at all." He said, turning his head in the light

Lorelai: “Please tell me the truth. Is it tender? If you removed the… erm… paint…? would it show?”

Leo: "What's it matter?"

Lorelai: “It matters to me. A great deal. Your pain is because of me. Please just tell me. Please Leo?”

Leo: "And CC matters tome"

Lorelai: “I’m not disputing that. Please just answer. I need to know how badly I hurt you.”

Leo: "Then stay in the city. With CC"

Lorelai: “Why would you ask that of me?” She looked hurt, this wasn’t why she was here. “I came here to check on you. To see how much I hurt you. That’s all I need to know”

Leo: "And you leaving, is going to hurt me more - as it will CC. **** knows what she'll do. But it won't be pretty."

Lorelai: “How will my leaving hurt you? You don’t even like me.”

Leo: "What?"

Lorelai: “What about what I said was difficult to understand?” Her brow furrowed as she looked up into his eyes. “I hurt you. You won’t even tell me how much. You’re only talking to me now to persuade me to stay… for her.”

Leo: "The 'what' was the fact you said I don't like you. Where'd that ******* come from? And damn right I'm trying to persuade you to stay. You're just emotional from the pregnancy hormones. Jesus. Chill the **** out. You knew what you were getting into from the start - you can't now decide that's not what you want after all. Not with all you promised her and made her look forward to. A life. With you. And the kid. That's not right."

Lorelai: “Tell me what I want to know and maybe I’ll let you persuade me,” she said reaching to grab one of his hands with her free hand with the intention of pulling him over to the sofa to sit down with her. “You let me look at the wound and tell me if it hurts and I’ll let you tell me why I should stay.”

Leo: "So, you get what you want and don't have to stay - just have to listen? No"

Lorelai: “I’m not promising the rest of my life just to look at your wound. Tonight. I’ll stay tonight. If you don’t like my offer Leo you can always tell me what it is you do want.”

Leo: "You actually going to think about it properly?"

Lorelai: “Yes. I promise I will think about it properly. But only if you sit down and let me look at the wound… And allow me to apologise and hug you.” She was still trying to tug him towards the sofa, but she was weak what with her injuries and she couldn’t unbalance the male that was walking in shoes that should not have allowed gravity to be on his side.

Leo: He walked over with her and shook his head. "You're not hugging me. But you can look at my face if you insist."

Lorelai: “Why can’t I hug you?” she asked as she let go of his hand and directed him to sit down while she went to get something to clean up his face with.

Leo: "Because, you're not mine to touch and do you know how mad CC would be if she paid attention at that moment?"

Lorelai: Lorelai shook her head. “I hug my friends. Especially those that are in pain because of me. You kissed me a while back. I would have thought that was worse.” She couldn’t understand their crazy rules or logic. CC was far more intimate with other people in her line of work, and she wasn’t even allowed to hug someone she’d injured; it made no sense to her.

Leo: "Yeh, and she wasn't in the mood she's in now, back then. You've wound her up something rotten right now. I've no idea what she might do!"

Lorelai: “Well then maybe you should let me hug you. Perhaps we will be able to distract her from what she’s doing,” she laughed at the thought, mainly as she didn’t think CC would be up to anything. She’d left her sulking on the sofa and she couldn’t have imagined what thoughts would go through the woman’s mind after she left. She began cleaning up his face as best she could, using her injured hand to support his chin while she wipe at the make-up to expose the secret it was hiding. “I just wish she’d think before she acts. I know she’s impulsive and I like that about her… usually. If she’d of just let me explain. She may not have done this to you. I don’t like violence Leo. I truly don’t. It makes me feel sick and to see someone… someone you think you have feelings for attack the only person you could even claim as a friend… It hurts more than I ever could have imagined. And all that after being starved of any positive energy for so long. You have no idea how difficult it is to heal when you are so off balance. It’s like trying to breathe under water. Impossible.”

Leo: "You know that's crazy talk right?" he asked, thinking about how he'd have to redo his makeup again before going on stage and trying not to be annoyed about it. She said CC didn't listen - well, it seemed to him that the pair were well matched.

Lorelai: “It’s only crazy if you don’t understand how I work. It would be like depriving a vampire of blood for an extended period of time. No. I think maybe I had it right before. It’s like drowning. Like being human and trying to breathe under water. I felt like I was drowning for the entire time I was in that place. Apart from the few minutes in which she was actually with me.” With his face clean, she began to run her fingers over the wound, it had started to colour and looked quite tender. “I’m not unreasonable Leo. I know she can’t change the past. I know she thinks she did the right thing but even after I explained how it felt for me to be left there alone, she couldn’t promise not to do that again. That’s what really hurt. Even knowing what she knows, she’d do it to me again.” Lorelai leant in closer to look at the wound, her fingers lightly pressing around the eye socket and then before he could pull away or react she lightly pressed her lips to the yellowing area. “I’m so sorry I didn’t listen to you,” she said as she pulled back and took a hold of his hand.

Leo: He pulled his hand from hers and frowned, pushing her back as he stood up. "Don't ******* kiss me!" He sighed and shook his head. "Did you not ******* listen again when I said CC would be pissed if she saw **** like that? You say you're sorry, then you go and try and get me hurt again. For ****'s sake." He walked away from her, shaking his head some more. "And look at yourself. Think how badly injured you were. Think about the monitors they had on you, watching your baby. And you wanted to try and walk out and do it all yourself? Sorry - I'm with CC on this. I get what you're saying, about how you used to do it out on the farms and commune. But you didn't have vampires and bombs and **** there. Nor were you pregnant and in danger of losing the baby!"

Lorelai: She’d upset him again and he had every right to yell at her. Despite everything she’d said and done she wasn’t quite as ready to walk away from the woman as she thought she had been. But as she listened to him rant, she watched the sallow skin return to its usual hue and couldn’t help but smile. “I am sorry,” she began, unable to contain her excitement at what she’d done. “Maybe… No… Well… Maybe I was hoping she would see. I know she isn’t always paying attention. But… Maybe I hoped that would get her attention. Maybe I want her to realise I’m still here.”

Leo: "Why? So she can fly in here and this time stab me?"

Lorelai: She shook her head. “No. Oh no. I wouldn’t want that. I’d never hope for that. You didn’t do anything wrong. I just want…” she hung her head and moved over to the sofa to sit herself down. “I don’t know what I want.”

Leo: "Yeh, obviously. And I told you what would happen - again. And - again - you didn't listen."

--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--

Lorelai: “She has to learn to control her temper Leo. She shouldn’t be hurting other people for things that I’ve done. It’s not right. If she was watching, she’d know what you said and did. That should be enough for her. She needs to learn to trust me. Locking me in while she’s asleep… It’s not right. I…” she sighed and began twisting a strand of her hair in the fingers of her good hand. “She could trust me, but she doesn’t. I don’t want to hurt her. It’s just… The way she… Why couldn’t she just promise not to leave me in that place again? I understand why she took me. I know she cares. I just…” she was about to repeat herself and so cut that sentence short. She didn’t want Leo to get in trouble again. CC had already seen what she’d done to herself last time she hurt Leo and she hoped that would deter the woman from trying again. “Does your eye feel better?” she asked, trying to change the subject.

Leo: "It didn't feel bad in the first place." He responded, looking at her as if she were a strange specimen in the zoo. "Why would she trust you when you keep threatening to leave her? What's this? The sixth time?"

Lorelai: Lorelai huffed and leaned back into the sofa. “The fact that I’m still here should show her I can be trusted. Even when she lets me leave… I don’t go far. Leo? Do you have a way to get her attention? For situations where you might need her to see or hear something.”

Leo: "Does she know you've not gone far, or does she think you've left? And kinda."

Lorelai: “She thinks I left. I suppose. Though she should have known I couldn’t go home looking like this and I should go to the hospital and have my hand examined but… I can’t go in there alone. Do you… Do you think you could get her attention? Show her I’m here.”

Leo: "Why? What are you going to do to her?"

Lorelai: “To her? What could I possibly do to her? She’s much stronger than I am and I’d never attack her. Never. I couldn’t do that. Even if I… tried.” That wasn’t what she was going to say but it hardly seemed fair to say she loved the woman out loud for the first time to someone else.

Leo: "Emotional abuse is worse than physical. Physical - you've no idea what she can withstand. It's insane. But emotional - she's VERY inexperienced when it comes to emotions and feels everything about ten times stronger than you or I.i"

Lorelai: “I am trying to remember that. This is all very new to me too in some ways. But Leo… please… just show her I’m here.”

Leo: He just nodded his head and then concentrated, screaming her name in his head with no idea as to whether or not it worked. Only time would tell if CC were to show up or not. "Done"

Lorelai: “Do you think she’ll see me? That she’ll know where I am?” Lorelai looked around her, suddenly realising she probably looked like she’d been dragged through a hedge backwards as she still hadn’t brushed her hair. She got up and began searching the room for a hairbrush or a comb, as she hadn’t thought to pack that when she’d picked up the handful of items.

Leo: He shrugged his shoulders. "Who knows? Depends on how upset you've made her"

Lorelai: Lorelai found a hairbrush and began combing it through her hair. “I hope she heard. I hope she didn’t do anything… stupid. If she’s hurt someone else because of me I’ll never forgive myself. Tonight I…” Again she paused. She couldn’t tell him she’d thought about killing herself to be free of the woman. Not after everything that had happened. She and CC just needed to work on their communication; at least was the conclusion she’d come to having listened to everything Leo had said.

Leo: "We'll see." He said, heading for the door. "But I need to redo my makeup and then get out on stage. You fine here?"

Lorelai: Lorelai nodded. “I am sorry Leo. And you looked very nice before I ruined your make-up but… I think it helped.” She shrugged, hoping he’d understand what she meant and what she’d done when he went to re-apply his make-up. “Thank you for talking to me. I appreciate that.” Lorelai sighed and shuffled in her seat as she tried to get comfortable.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC was ******* pissed off, standing there in the wilderness and looking at the bodies at her feet. In her efforts to find a quiet place to vanish, unseen, she'd stumbled across a conclave of hunters. As soon as they'd spotted her, guns were pulled, blades emerged from who knew where, and then they'd attacked. And it seemed that they had appeared from nowhere, as more and more were emerging from the trees around them. Her blade spun and her powers activated, but despite it all - some blades and bullets found their way into her body, spurting red as her skin parted and let the floodgates flow. Now she was standing there, covered in blood, wounded, and with thoughts of Lorelai in her head as seen through Leo's eyes. He'd got her attention on purpose, showing her Lorelai - but she didn't know why. There was only one way to find out. So back to Silks she headed.

Lorelai: She was alone but she didn’t mind. The day before she’d begged to be released from the room as the energies about her were not as comforting as she needed them to be but today, today she felt better. Despite everything that had happened in the past forty-eight hours, she had to admit, to herself at least, that leaving CC wasn’t as easy as she thought it should be. Her eyes closed, she melted into the sofa and contemplated what she really wanted from her future. Leo’s words had stuck with her and she was beginning to wonder if part of the reason CC was so insecure in their relationship, (and therefore felt the need to lock her in), was because she kept threatening to leave. Many other thoughts ran through her mind too all of which revolved around the life she wanted and what she needed from CC to be happy. Her conclusion being that perhaps if they sat down and discussed things, without quite so much emotion, they might be able to figure out their path forward.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC took all the back alleys and went through the sewers to get to Silks without being seen. Then, activating celerity, she ran straight in the door and up the stairs so as not to be seen. She burst through the door and closed it behind herself, tripping and rolling on the floor, coming to a groaning stop in the middle of the room. She was absolutely exhausted, and the speed and fall had irritated and inflamed her wounds - so lying there for a minute seemed like the best of ideas.

Lorelai: CC’s entrance was entirely appropriate for the woman and Lorelai might have laughed to open her eyes and see the theatrics but CC was injured and this was the first thing Lorelai noted. She wasn’t able to get to her feet all that quickly, she was aching herself, but as quickly as she was able, she was at CC’s side. “Ana? Are you okay?” The name she used slipped from her lips without any conscious thought, obviously in this moment, she cared for CC again.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Yeh. I'll be ******* fine. Always am." She grunted, rolling over and getting to her feet while poking at the wounds to see how bad they were.

Lorelai: Lorelai winced as CC took stock of her own wounds. She’d knelt to look the woman over but now she was standing, she stood too. “What happened?” She wanted to know if this too was her fault but she wasn’t sure how to go about phrasing that question. It was possible CC had gone looking for trouble like she had the time she killed the people near the boat the last time they had argued in this way.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Some hunters found me. Tried to kill me." She stated, very matter of factly before opening the mini fridge to pull out a number of blood bags. "Thought you were leaving?"

Lorelai: CC was acting so distant that Lorelai began to worry that perhaps she wouldn’t want to speak to her. Leo might have been wrong, CC might not have cared for her as much as he thought she did. “I had to apologise to Leo… before I left. And I’m not sure he really let me because I wanted to hug him and he said no. But you probably don’t need to know that. I’m sure you saw it all. I just… He convinced me to speak to you. Before I did anything I might regret.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Oh?" She asked, turning to face Lorelai as she bit into a blood pack and began to drain it hungrily - her wounds seeming to heal and stop bleeding / oozing the more she drank.

Lorelai: She nodded and watched CC as she began to drain the bag of blood without heating it; a fact that possibly spoke to her need of it. “Perhaps when you are feeling better we could talk?” Her words while meaning to be decisive had a note of hesitation in them, brought about by CC’s cool nature.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "What's wrong with now?" She asked, a shiver running through her as the cold blood slid down her throat and sat heavily in her stomach.

Lorelai: “You don’t look very well.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Really? Was it the slice down the side of my throat, the bullet in my leg, the bullet in my shoulder or the bullet in my stomach that made you think I wasn't well?"

Lorelai: Lorelai sighed and sat down on the sofa. Already this wasn’t going well. “That’s why I suggested we talk another time. Since you are so badly injured.” She wasn’t exactly a picture of health herself, she had a burns, a gunshot wound of her own and broken bones in her leg and hand. It wasn’t so much the wounds that worried Lorelai however as it was the dark mood that CC seemed to be in.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "So, there will be another time? You're not leaving the city?" and me she thought to herself, refusing to say it out loud.

Lorelai: “Well that is part of what I wanted to discuss,” she admitted. “You are the only reason I have to stay here. So it all depends on whether or not we have a future.” Her words were perhaps a little blunt but it was the truth.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "You're the one who wanted it to end remember. Not me"

Lorelai: “It doesn’t feel that way right now. But that is not the point. If I’m to stay, I need to know you’ll listen to me. I need you to make some promises. And in return I’ll make some of my own.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Shoot"

Lorelai: Lorelai wasn’t sure where to start or if she should even be addressing this stuff now but CC was apparently ready to talk, so she lined up her thoughts and began. “Will you promise to listen to me in future? Even if I tell you I need something stupid or bizarre, can you please just listen to me and do what I ask? I’d never ask anything bad of you. I won’t. I’m not unreasonable. I know you did what you did because you care but I can’t have you doing that to me again. Any of it. I don’t want to be locked up again. Either by you… or by doctors. And I don’t want to be left in a hospital alone again.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Mm Hmm"

Lorelai: “I don’t know what that means Ana. Can you promise me that or not?”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "I can promise to try. But with the ******* things I've seen that can happen.... I'm not promising 'never'."

Lorelai: Lorelai smiled, the answer was obviously good enough for her. “I’m not asking you to be perfect Ana. I just want to know you won’t do that to me again. And the next promise… I want you to promise not to hurt the people I care about for the things that I have done. I know you gave Leo orders but what did you honestly expect him to do? Would you have been happy if he’d pushed me back to close to the door? Or restrained me if I’d tried to leave? What if he had hurt me? Wouldn’t that have been worse? If you have to know where I am. Ask him to follow me. Have him keep me company. It’s cruel on us both to make him wait in the hall all day.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "That's not how it works. If I tell someone to do something and give them consequences of what happens if they don't do it - then I have to follow through regardless. Otherwise, a threat isn't a threat. But if they know there's consequences, then they know to do as they promised or are told."

Lorelai: Lorelai nodded, as that made sense to her. “You know you could just amend the type of orders you give him. Allow the consequences of my actions to be my own. Punish him if he fails to stay with me. Opening my front door should never be a crime worthy of punishment. So you could make me that promise Ana.” She wasn’t chastising her or shouting or anything, she was calm, her manner as warm as she could manage given the circumstances.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC fed on another blood pack as she watched Lorelai and shook her head. "Then the job he's been given, is pointless, if the consequences fall on you. That's not going to make someone do their job"

Lorelai: “I don’t mean that Ana. I mean you need to make me responsible for my own actions. Do not punish others for what I do or don’t do. Holding me hostage is unreasonable. Had you of asked Leo to stay with me. I’d of happily accepted his company. Punishing him because I opened my door,” once more she was taking ownership of their apartment. “That is unreasonable. I’m not saying that his own actions should not warrant some sort of punishment, but I think you went too far in that.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "I'd have done worse to him if he'd failed any other time. He was lucky all he got was a smack." She shrugged her shoulders, not seeing the issue when it was all done for the right reasons."

Lorelai: “Ana you aren’t listening to me again. Me opening a door is my choice. You should not punish someone else for my actions.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "It might have been your choice, but he was told to keep the door closed. Stop saying I'm not listening when I obviously ******* am. He wasn't told not to open the door, he was told to keep it ******* shut - regardless of who opened it. He failed in the task set him"

Lorelai: “So if I’d of stepped into the hall and closed the door?”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Then worse would have happened to him"

Lorelai: "So you'd of been happy with him physically forcing me back into the apartment? Even though I'm injured. And pregnant."

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Yes. Doesn't take much to just... pick you up" She chuckled and shrugged. "Besides, you're pregnant and injured and trying to just walk out of hospital saying you're fine. If you're fine to leave the hospital - you're fine to get put into a room gently."

Lorelai: Lorelai folded her arms over her chest. They were at an impasse of sorts and she wasn’t sure how she could get what she needed from CC and still keep herself and CC happy. “I need this Ana. You need to work with me in this to see what you are willing to promise me. I don’t want you punishing people for what I’ve done. It’s not fair. I don’t think it’s too much to ask. You never should have ordered him to keep me prisoner as it was.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "If you do something that means someone fails in their job - then you will have to live with the fact that you got them hurt. Sorry, but I'm not going to go back on a threat to someone. That just makes me weak."

Lorelai: “I haven’t asked you to go back on your threats. I’m asking you not to hurt those I care about for my actions. You can promise that. You just have to think about your orders more carefully before you give them.” She was getting frustrated now and the pain in her hand was starting to worsen as she felt it throbbing.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "I can promise to think about what I order. But if an order is made - and they **** up, then that's on them"

Lorelai: “So you promise to think carefully about your orders in future so that my actions don’t cause him pain?” By now it was pretty obvious Leo was her main concern. Lorelai had no idea what CC had planned to do earlier that night to her family and Leo really was the only person (besides those she worked with) that she knew well in the city.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Uh huh" She said, tossing the two empty packs in the bin and eying the third. She knew it didn't matter, because she could say she thought about it, and decided against it. It meant she wasn't breaking any promises and such.

Lorelai: “He really is good to you, you know. You should consider treating him better. If it wasn’t for Leo I might not be standing here right now.” She could almost see what CC was thinking but she’d cross that bridge when she came to it, as CC had already promised not to hold her prisoner again.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She didn’t know what to say to that one, so just shrugged and then sat herself down onto the sofa - gently.

Lorelai: CC sat herself down next to her and so she reached out and took a hold of her hand. “He really cares about you Ana. He gave my quite a talking too on your behalf…” She smiled, even though she didn’t want to think about some of the things he said to her. “Before and after you punched him actually. I still want to hug him to apologise. If you’ll let him allow me that is.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She let her hand be held, but she didn't hold Lorelai's in return, nor did she look at her and instead just looked straight ahead. "The way you talk about him, it's like you'd rather be with him than with me"

Lorelai: “I don’t know why you say that Ana. I’ve haven’t ever chosen him over you. Have I?” she squeezed her hand gently, aware of the fact that she still seemed detached.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Well, you were leaving the city and ignoring everything I had said and said no when I asked you to stay. He asks you to stay and BOOM. You're staying."

Lorelai: “Don’t think of it that way Ana. He’s less emotional than you. That’s all. He explained things in a way I could understand. He understands you better than I do, though I’m hoping that won’t always be true. I didn’t make it easy for him either…” She realised then that CC had obviously not seen or heard anything of their conversation. “We came to an arrangement. I would consider what he’d said and in return I could look at the damage you did to his eye.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Tcha" Was the only noise she made to that one. Still feeling like something wasn't right with that. Like, Lorelai and Leo had something going on with one another.

Lorelai: “Do you really think I want to be Leo?” she asked as she edged herself forward so that she could turn and look at CC.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "To be him? No. To be with him, maybe. Probably."

Lorelai: Lorelai rolled her eyes and laughed. “I think you know what I mean,” she replied a little sheepishly as her cheeks coloured. “If I wanted to be with Leo do you think I’d be sat here with you?”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "I've no idea what you want anymore"

Lorelai: She was about to tell her that if that was what she thought that she should just leave but she stopped herself before the words made it over her lips, as this was exactly what Leo said she kept doing. “Would you prefer to talk about this tomorrow?” she offered, her hand still in CC’s.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Depends" She said, looking at Lorelai for the first time, not knowing that the pain Lorelai had caused her was showing in her eyes. "Do you know what you actually want now?"

Lorelai: “I know what I want. And what I need. Hence me asking you to make certain promises.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "You said you had some for me too"

Lorelai: “One. Mainly. And then I planned to ask what you wanted from me.” Lorelai began stroking the back of CC’s hand lightly with her thumb. “I’ll promise not to threaten to leave every time we argue. I’ll wait for us both to be calm. Leo pointed out that I do that a lot. And then I began to wonder if perhaps that is why you felt the need to have Leo watch the door. Because you did not trust me. Though if I promise to wait for you. I would do that. I promised to come and see you every night as of the night we met didn’t I? And you were little more than a stranger to me then.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Mm Hm. Or when **** happen - you want your Mum, saying she's the 'only' one there for you!" She said sulkily.

Lorelai: “I’m sorry for that too but it’s only natural for a child to want their mother. No matter how old I get she’ll always be comforting to me. Can you not understand that? It’s not a competition Ana. I don’t ned to love either of you more than the other.” Sadly this was as close as she’d come to telling CC how she really felt about her. “I’ll always want her support and advice on the important things that happen in my life. But that doesn’t mean I don’t want and need your support and advice too.” She tried to look CC in the eye as she spoke, hoping it would convey her sincerity though the woman hadn’t wanted to really look at her much since she’d arrived.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "No, I can't understand it. It doesn't make sense to me. I don't really understand how anyone could.... well.... rely on someone else. You can only rely on yourself. Only yourself won't let you down and will always be there. Others won't be."

Lorelai: “And yet you’re upset that I’d want to rely on my mother instead of you?” She wasn’t being facetious, she was trying to understand the woman.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Yes. Because you're putting someone else over me"

Lorelai: “Can I not rely on you both? You both have different strengths and weaknesses. I don’t see it as me choosing one of you over the other. I see it as me seeking support from those that love me. From those I trust to help and advise me.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "When you say things like how she's the 'only' one there for you - damn right you’re choosing her over me!"

Lorelai: “I’m very sorry I phrased it that way Ana,” she lifted CC’s hand and gently pressed her lips to the back of it. “I don’t recall exactly why I said what I said. It was possibly because I thought you weren’t listening to me. This was in the hospital… Correct? When you asked me to stay there and I told you I couldn’t. Not without you… or Leo… I needed someone to keep me company.”

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Mmm Hmm" She nodded her head, watching her carefully.

Lorelai: “So I said what I did because I knew my mother would help me leave. She’d of listened to me. Or stayed with me. I asked you not to leave me and you did. So I tried to leave too. Until…” she looked down at their joined hands. She didn’t like thinking about what CC had done to her and the woman refused to apologise for what she’d done as all she saw was that she was still alive, still breathing, she didn’t realise the toll it had taken on her soul.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "I don't know if I believe that - not the ******* state you were in. But it's whatever. Done now."

Lorelai: “My family are more attuned to energies Ana. She’d of understood why I didn’t want to stay there. We don’t go to hospitals in my family. Not if we can help it. There’s too much sickness and fear. It’s like a poison to the soul. I needed you with me so that I could focus on you, so that I could try to ignore the energies of those around us.” She was trying to explain in a way that CC might understand but she wasn’t sure if she was any more invested in this conversation as she had been the day before.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC didn't believe the whole energy thing. It just sounded like some hippy dippy rubbish. So all she did was smile and nod placatingly.

Lorelai: When she didn’t say anything Lorelai looked hurt. It was obvious that CC either didn’t understand or believe her or something. She hadn’t even given her a non-descript noise of any kind. “You… don’t understand… do you?” Now she couldn’t look at CC. This was a huge part of her and if CC couldn’t understand this, she wasn’t sure they would ever work as a couple as her affinity with energy was much like CC’s need for blood.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She shook her head honestly. "No. Like, you can't understand the innate violence within me. How I can enjoy giving people pain and seeing them bleed. We're just different like that."

Lorelai: She began to cry at what was said. They were complete opposites in this and she knew it. She couldn’t remember CC saying she enjoyed the violence before, only that it was a part of her. How could she love such a terrible creature? She didn’t understand herself in this and it left her numb and confused to have it said so openly like that.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC couldn't just sit there and see her cry. She reached out to her and wrapped an arm around her shoulders to draw her in and close, trying to hold her and hug her.

Lorelai: She should have pulled away, a part of her was even telling her too but she couldn’t make herself, she wanted to be held. She snugged up against CC as best she could without aggravating either of their injuries and lay her head against her as she quietly sobbed.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She sighed and just held her, ignoring the pain in her own shoulder just to try and make Lorelai feel better. She really was a funny little bird, and CC really didn't understand her sometimes.

Lorelai: She wanted to reach out and stroke CC’s face but with her left hand in so much pain she couldn’t do it properly and so had to make do with using her right hand. With her right side pressed up against CC all she could do was bend her arm backward so that her fingers could gently caress CC’s skin.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "We should get you cleaned up" She muttered softly.

Lorelai: “Cleaned up?” She tentatively tilted her head up to look at CC’s face. She wasn’t sure what emotion she might see there now and half feared that all she’d see was pity.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: All Lorelai would see was concern on CC's face, even with a touch of compassion. "Mm Hm. I think you need a soak in a bubble bath. Clean yourself up and calm yourself down."

Lorelai: She brought her hand to her own face and began to wipe away the tears that still lingered on her skin. “I…” she was almost afraid to say what had to be said as she wasn’t sure how CC would react to this given all that had happened. “I think I need to have my hand looked at… by a doctor. I’m in quite a lot of pain and think it might be broken.” She wasn’t sure CC could walk into a hospital looking the way she did and she didn’t want to have to go alone but would wait to see what CC suggested before she asked if Leo could take her.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She looked at the girl's hand and bit her tongue about how NOW she wanted a Dr. She just nodded her head and got up, grabbing her phone and calling a number. "Yo...... yeh, me..... Need ya...... Yeh, Silks..... Broken hand. .... Yeh?..... Ok. See you in a bit....... Ta."

Lorelai: Lorelai pouted as CC moved away from her without saying a word. “Who did you call? They aren’t going to take me away are they?” She seemed genuinely worried about that last part as she knew the call was about her since CC said something about a broken hand.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "I called one of my clients. He's a doctor, and he said that if I ever needed anything - I could call him and he'd come and..... fix it up for me. So, he's on his way here. Means you don't have to go to a hospital. Seeing as how you hate them so"

Lorelai: Lorelai smiled, even though she didn’t like the idea of meeting one of CC’s clients and could have done without knowing that little piece of information. “Does he…” she swallowed before being able to speak the next word, “love you?” It was the only reason she could think of that a client might wish to be at her beck and call and she couldn’t really blame them if they did love her, she was incredibly attractive and could charm the birds from the trees if she wished to. (Or at least this is how Lorelai saw her).

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC shrugged her shoulders as she headed for the wardrobe and began flicking through outfits. "He might. Dunno. Don't care. I know others do, cause they make it obvious. Him. I think he's just..... appreciative." She found a black lace and silk nightgown that would cover most of her wounds and then stripped off what she was wearing to put it on. Dressed, she then began playing with her hair to create a fishtail plait that hid the gash in her neck.

Lorelai: There was nothing Lorelai could say to that. CC was worried that Leo might have feelings for her and yet here she was saying ‘others’ were in love with her; plural. She slid herself back on the sofa and just watched CC as she began to dress up, wondering if this was the sort of thing the doctor liked to see her in and if the effort she was making was for him. It never occurred to her that she was trying to hide the marks on her body, as all Lorelai saw was the fact that she was preening.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She turned back to Lorelai with a small smile, tossing her abandoned and bloody clothes into the hamper - though she figured that they were a lost cause. However, her smile turned into a frown as she saw Lorelai slumped there on the settee and she hurried back over to her. "'Ell? You ok? You look.... pale"

Lorelai: Lorelai gave CC a weak smile. “I’m not sure I want to meet any of your clients. I already have trouble thinking of you with others without being able to picture exactly what someone looks like.” She sighed, unable now to look at CC. “And then you say that others are in love with you. I.. I hadn’t considered how your work might be real for others.” She was being open and honest about how she felt, as she wasn’t sure their relationship could last as it was, let alone if they started keeping these sorts of things to themselves.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She rubbed her head in frustration. Lorelai didn't want to go to a hospital, had even made CC promise she wouldn't take her to one. Now. Now CC had arranged for a doctor to come here, to save Lorelai having to go to the hospital she'd made such a fuss of - and she didn't like that either. The woman was a walking, talking contradiction. "Well, you did ask. And, just tell me what you want and I'll try and do it. Cause I'm ******* lost at the moment." She said gently

Lorelai: Lorelai went silent and then without looking up muttered. “My hand is broken. It needs to be set.” She was giving up on speaking about anything else at this point as her hand was her main priority, at least for the moment.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Mmm hmm. Roger will be here soon to fix it right up. In the meantime, maybe this will help." Gently, she stretched out her powers and inspired Lorelai

Lorelai: Lorelai was going to ask what it was that would help but then she felt the energy around her. She was getting used to the feel of powers being cast upon her and in this moment she couldn’t argue as it did boost her mood and help her to endure the pain a little better. “Thank you,” she whispered as she resigned herself to her fate.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: Gently, CC slid in to sit beside her, pulling her close and caressing her hair. Her head rested against Lorelai's, lips pressing to the crown of her head and lingering.

Lorelai: Had she been stupid? Should she have insisted on being taken to the hospital? She wasn’t sure wanted to meet this Roger but then she didn’t think it was worth arguing with CC over either. The woman was trying to keep her out of the place she hated, and more than that, she was showing she’d listened and that she cared. Lorelai snuggled up against CC and enjoyed the cooling kiss that she placed upon her temple. With so many others in love with her girlfriend, Lorelai began to wonder if she shouldn’t actually tell the woman how she felt herself. She knew CC loved her, even if she couldn’t recall her ever telling her directly. She’d pretty much told CC that she knew she loved her and CC hadn’t denied it. Did CC know how she felt? She placed her good hand on CC’s leg and rubbed at her thigh through the silk material. “I love you Ana,” she said softly. It possibly wasn’t the time or place for such an admission but she wanted CC to know how she felt about her.

Cinnamon Cherrywhip: Again, CC bit her tongue and held back the comments that wanted to flow out so easily and tell her it didn't seem that way sometimes, and that she was lying or flip flopping. But none of that came out and instead, she just smiled and muttered into her hair. "Love you too"

Lorelai: She smiled, closed her eyes and allowed herself to rest with the strange woman that she loved despite herself. With all that had happened in the past few days, she couldn’t have predicted that here was where she’d of ended up and yet she knew that here, in CC’s arms, was exactly where she was supposed to be.
