The first big step

--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC pulled up outside the hotel in a rental car, not being sure how much stuff Lorelai had to bring with her. Parking, badly, she got out and headed up the stairs to get to her floor. She didn't bother knocking and simply walked right on in with a grin, looking around to see if she were ready and where she was. "Hellooooo?"
Lorelai: The familiar voice had Lorelai smiling before she’d even consciously realised that CC was in the room. She shook off her thoughts and hurried to greet her, throwing her arms around her waist and hugging her tightly. “Ana,” she sighed softly as she rested her head on CC’s shoulder and looked up at her. “I’m almost ready to go,” she added softly.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC wrapped her own arms around the girl and grinned, nodding her head as she kissed her forehead softly. "Good good, there's no rush though, loads of time!" CC nuzzled her face into Lorelai's hair and just enjoyed the warmth and the scent of her, wondering what it would be like to live with her full time and be surrounded by that scent always! She couldn't wait to find out!
Lorelai: Lorelai barely registered the temperature of CC’s skin these days and so showed no outward signs of being chilled by her touch. She fanned her hands out over her back, one low down on the curve of her spine, the other between her shoulder blades in a rather awkward seeming and yet entirely comfortable embrace. “I’m looking forward to the evening ahead,” she admitted as a flush of colour warmed her cheeks. “How’s the baby today?” she asked CC as they still stood unmoving in the doorway; it become a habit of hers to ask this on a nightly basis as CC could hear the child’s heartbeat and would likely be the first to know if anything was wrong.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Heart rate is elevated. But, that's your fault." She smirked. "Something is exciting you and raising yours, which in turn raises it's." She chuckled, wriggling against the other's body as her fingers trailed down and grabbed her bum cheeks.
Lorelai: Lorelai gasped as CC groped her and giggled. “Nothing new in that then. Though once again I would like to remind you that you share equal blame in this, seeing as you are thing exciting me.” The hand between CC’s shoulder blade moved up to grip the shoulder as she leaned her upper body away from the woman, smiling up at her. “Did you sleep well?” she asked, her eyes roaming over CC’s face, before coming to rest on the lips she desired to feel against her own.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC kissed her slowly, just enjoying the moment and relaxing into it having seen the look in the woman's eyes and knowing it well. After a decent moment, and feeling the quiver in 'ell's body, she broke the kiss and winked. "Well, it will need a strong heart to cope in the world. So no issues with it getting a good workout now! And yes, I slept ok. Odd dreams, that I can't remember now, but ok. And of course, always better for seeing you!"
Lorelai: Lorelai’s smile was always echoed in her eyes when CC was around and the kiss had left her shivering lightly in the woman’s arms as she fought to find her breath once more. CC had a way of knocking Lorelai completely off centre and while she enjoyed it, she had to fight with her own body to calm herself when they were this close. This was the reason she then pulled away, the hand on her shoulder running down CC’s arm till their fingers could be entwined, before leading her into the room. “Are you ready to move in with a human?” she asked half teasingly, the sentence allowing for CC to perhaps change her mind if she wished too.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Won't be the first time I've lived with a human" She chuckled, thinking of old flatmates and workmates, DD and even Leo. She gave 'Ell's fingers a squeeze, still amused at the effect she had on her and how she had to pull away after so long together. One of these nights, she was going to refuse to let her go and keep her close - just to see what would happen.
Lorelai: “Did you share a bed with them too?” she asked a little gingerly, her curiosity getting the better of her. She needed to collect her toiletries bag from the bathroom but her hand was happy where it was and she didn’t want to pull away from CC, not when she hadn’t seen her all day. She’d still yet to speak with her boss about changing her hours or perhaps quitting all together. Of course she couldn’t put that off much longer, as she did want to spend more time with her girlfriend.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Some of them, yeh. Some of the rooms and apartments we shared weren't big enough for two beds.... Or more than one room in fact." She snorted at the memory of those pokey places. "So, what's left to do?"
Lorelai: “Oh,” she replied, trying not to worry about what that may have meant. “I just need to get my toiletries bag and then I’m ready. Though I would like to check the drawers and cupboards one more time to be sure I packed everything.”
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Well, you check the drawers, I'll go get your toiletries." She smiled, letting go of her hand and then heading for the bathroom where she began stuffing bottles of who knew what into a bag, curling her nose at the 'natural' and 'homemade' potions 'ell used.
Lorelai: “Thank you Ana,” she said as she began opening and closing everything in the room to see if she’d left anything behind. When she was satisfied she hadn’t, she stopped and went back to stand by her bags.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: This packing lark was easy. Soon as you'd had enough nosing at the bottles, you just held the bag open and swept your arm or hand along the shelf and knocked everything into the bag in a great big heap! Easy! With her special type of packing, she was done in no time at all and heading out right as 'Ell got to her other bags. "Don't you ******* dare think about picking those up Miss! That's what I'm here for!"
Lorelai: Lorelai laughed at CC as she came back into the room. “I’m not so frail as to require someone else to carry my bags for me you know. But if you’re going to insist I won’t argue.” As she started to speak she’d held out her hand to the woman, hoping that she’d take it once more. If CC was going to insist on carry everything, she doubted she’d get another chance any time soon to actually hold her in any significant way.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Damn right I'm insisting. You're ******* pregnant. I read on the internet, you're not supposed to lift things. So ******* move." She grinned and took her hand, kissing the fingers and nipping them gently before slipping around her and gathering all the bags up in her other hand without even thinking about it.
Lorelai: Her smile was still bright as CC took her hand and nipped at her fingertips. “I’m not all that pregnant,” she said gesturing to her seemingly flat stomach with her free hand. “Though I’m sure that’s supposed to change soon. I should probably invest in one of those baby books shouldn’t I? I was planning on asking my mother what I needed to know but…” she paused to consider if she should ask the question or not. “I was waiting till we had moved as I was considering perhaps asking her to come and visit.” She waited to gauge CC’s reaction to this idea, as she wasn’t sure if CC would want to even meet her mother and she half worried that her mother might then recognise her for what she was.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC kinda froze, her face contorting in annoyance at the fact the mother even knew about the baby. The freezing was to do with her coming to visit. "It's.... fine. I'll get you a book. Or 20. And the fact you're not very pregnant is exactly when lifting isn't advised. And.... why would you want her to ******* visit? Thought you moved here to be away from her, and the rest? And.... what if she like, realises what I am? Or are they all as naive as you? And what do they think about.... vampires?"
Lorelai: “I’m pregnant Ana. Every woman turns to their mother when they are pregnant. We didn’t go to hospitals where I lived. Every child was delivered at home. I’m a little worried about not having anyone here to support me through this,” she admitted. It wasn’t that she didn’t think CC would do her best, she just wanted someone with a little experience in such things to help her through it. “And my family are very peaceful. I’ve told you that. We don’t go around hunting vampires or anything. My parent’s gifts aren’t really used, as they never truly embraced the way of our family. Not like our ancestors did.”
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: Her face hardened as 'ell said she had no-one to support her through, and could only bring herself to make monosyllabic grunts of "Uh huh" by way of an answer.
Lorelai: “Ana? What did I say that upset you?”
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Nothing" She said sulkily
Lorelai: “My family really are peaceable Ana. You have nothing to fear from them. And I do want my mother to help me. Is that not a reasonable request?” she asked as she squeezed CC’s hand gently.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Uh huh"
Lorelai: “Ana. Tell me what I said that’s upset you. Please? You know I would never intentionally upset you.”
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She sighed and rubbed her head, letting go of 'ell's hand to do so. "You said you bloody well had no ****** to help you through this pregnancy, to help. I mean ****! What the **** am I?"
Lorelai: Lorelai’s eyes were filled with remorse. “I didn’t mean that. I didn’t mean you. It’s just…you’ll be working a lot and unconscious during the day. I’ll need someone to talk too that’s been through all of this. Who better than my mother? Do you understand?” She moved cautiously to hug CC, wondering if she’d pull away from her.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She didn't pull away, but she didn't reciprocate either. Not at that moment, not when her head was full of thoughts of her own daughter whom she'd left behind in Poland with the.... people she'd grown up around. She refused to cry, she wasn't the sort to let her real and true emotions show her weaknesses. Lorelai didn't know it, but she'd just hit CC's one weak spot that cut her deeper than any other, and she was hurting bad!
Lorelai: She knew there was something wrong, CC was getting easier to read and the fact that her path was particularly emotional may be playing a part in that too. Lorelai softened her hold on her girlfriend but didn’t let her go, instead she settled against, holding her close. “I don’t even know how I’d begin to cope with all of this without you Ana. You’ve been so kind to me since the night we first met.”
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: A hand moved to stroke Lorelai's back softly, the other one still full of all of her belongings. "It's fine. Don't think about it. Shall we go?"
Lorelai: “I’m sorry my words hurt you Ana. I had no intention of doing so. You have to believe me.” Instead of letting her go so they could leave, she buried her face in CC’s neck and kissed her very softly. “Please don’t hate me my angel.”
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: That one broke CC's mood and she chuckled - bipolar as she was now since being turned - and she turned her head to kiss the top of 'ell's head. "Your angel eh? Well, I've never ******* been called that before!"
Lorelai: Lorelai smiled. “Yes.” She nodded. “You are my angel.” Lorelai squeezed her gently and then pulled back from her. “We should probably go home before we waste any more of your valuable time on me and my silliness.”
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Time with you is never wasted" CC said seriously, opening the door for her and then following her out. "Have you checked out?"
Lorelai: “Not yet,” she reached around CC and closed the door. “I just have to hand in the key and settle up at the front desk and then we can leave. Hopefully we won’t have to wait long for the train.” She made her way to the elevator and pressed the down button.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC nodded her head, hiding the smile she felt having been paying for Lorelai's room for a while now and she knew there was no bill to settle. Not to mention the car she had waiting outside for her. "Ok. Shouldn't take long. These places are normally pretty good with stuff"
Lorelai: “Do you have many belongings to move in?” she asked as the elevator doors opened and she stepped inside. “I’m sure you must have a lot more than I do.”
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "No, not really. I think I've got all the furniture you picked out in and arranged as you said you wanted it. As for my stuff, I don't really have 'stuff'."
Lorelai: “We may have to pick out some more things then,” she said with a smile. “Are you not happy with the furniture we picked out? I thought it was our decision, not just mine.” She pressed the button for the ground floor and waited to feel the lurch in her stomach that said they were moving.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Hmm? What?" She didn't understand. "Course I like it all. It's you, it's me, it's us. Together. Forever."
Lorelai: Lorelai smiled, unable to correct CC’s wording of forever, as she knew she wouldn’t live anywhere near as long as her vampire lover. “It needs to feel like our home. Like we live there. I don’t worry about the items we have so much as the energy we leave behind. A home should feel like a home. Wouldn’t you agree?”
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Ummm, yes." She smiled, nodding her head and then stepping out of the elevator as the doors opened. She walked through the foyer and waited by a pillar for Lorelai to check out and find the surprise.
Lorelai: CC didn’t seem convinced, despite her words but they didn’t have a chance to discuss it right then, as she approached the reception desk. She placed the card on the table and was surprised to hear the guy say that everything had been taken care of. They argued, or as close to arguing as Lorelai came, for a few moments and then the guy nodded towards CC. Lorelai turned and looked at her, clearly surprised by what she’d done. Having thanked the man, she ran back to CC and threw her arms around her. “See you are my angel,” she mumbled against her neck.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC chuckled, her arm looping around 'ell's waist and holding her in a hug. "Hardly. All I did, was pay your bill."
Lorelai: “You aren’t going to argue with a pregnant woman are you?” she teased as she took her hand once more. She was ready for the walk to the station, the night air might even help her to calm down a little, as she always felt like she were on fire when CC was around, even if she was perfectly calm.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Damn right I am when the pregnant woman is wrong." She grinned, leading her out and heading the opposite way to the station.
Lorelai: “You can’t argue with how I feel Ana. To me you are an angel. You are so sweet and caring. You look after me when you don’t have to. Erm…Ana,” she asked looking around her when she noticed they were going the wrong way. “The station is in the opposite direction.”
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Mm Hmm" She chuckled. "I know." Her hand let go of 'ell and reached into her top to pull out the keys to the car. Her outfits were far too small for pockets, so she kept everything she needed in her bra. Pointing the keys at a Hyundai fuel cell car that was an eco-friendly car that she'd hired with 'ell in mind, watching it beep as it unlocked.
Lorelai: “You… bought a car?” she asked wondering what CC was thinking.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Nope. Just hired one for the night to move your stuff and then maybe go out somewhere?"
Lorelai: “Why would we want to go out?” she asked genuinely surprised by this idea also. “We could have taken the train you know. I’m not so fragile that public transport would be a problem for me.”
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Yeh, well, I didn't know how much stuff you had to move. So thought a car might come in handy." She grumbled softly, putting things into the boot and opening the door for her to get into. "And we don't have to go out if you don't want to."
Lorelai: “I thought we were spending the night in. Our first night in our new home. Together.” She said moving around to the passenger’s door. CC had the door open for her and so she slipped into the car and smiled up her mouthing the words ‘Thank you’.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC smiled back down at her and nodded, making her way around to the driver's side and slipping in herself. "Well, I thought you might like a meal out first? Or just a drive through the countryside? Or.... I don't know. I wanted to make it a nice night"
Lorelai: “We could order in?” she suggested. “It’s going to be a wonderful night regardless of what we do Ana. It’s our first night as a proper couple. I’ve never lived with anyone before so I’m excited. Though I may just be excited about the prospect of spending the entire night with you, you work too much,” she threw in flippantly.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Nah, I don't work enough." She said, pulling out of the parking space and heading out into the roadways. "There's always money to be made if you can think how. And sure, we can do takeaway. You watch, you'll soon be ******* sick of me." She chuckled
Lorelai: Lorelai shook her head lightly. “Oh I don’t imagine that could possibly happen. But… You do work too much you know. I’d like to spend more time with you. Perhaps you could set aside one or two nights a week to spend with me? After all we only have so much time of it being just us two before we become us three.” She rest her hand on her stomach as if to emphasise what she meant.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She frowned, not liking the sound of that and slowly nodded her head. "Maybe. I think. I could book you in at the beginning of the night, work after you're in bed?"
Lorelai: “And if I changed my hours? To become more nocturnal…like you?” she asked, not at all offended by what CC had said.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Then that's not fair on the kid. It will need sunshine and friends and.... well, normal kid stuff."
Lorelai: “But I need you too,” she replied without thinking. “You’ll miss everything if me and the baby are awake all day and sleep all night. I want you to be with us. Don’t you want to be a real family?” There was no judgement in her tone, she was just thinking practically, as CC was too apparently, only they had different priorities it seemed.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Of course. I'll do the night feeds and such, so you can sleep. It'll be like any couple where one parent works night shifts. You can't both be up at night and deprive the child of a normal ******* life!"
Lorelai: “You won’t be here at night,” she reminded CC. “I guess I’ll have to give up my job when the time comes too. Perhaps it wouldn’t be a bad idea to ask my mother to move here…for the first few years. She can babysit for me while I’m working. ”
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: Again, CC fell silent and just concentrated on the road ahead of them. Though her driving became a bit more.... ragey.
Lorelai: Her nails bit into the chair as she began to feel unnerved by the driving. “Ana… Can you slow down please? Please? I’m starting to get scared.” It wasn’t just the speed of course, it was the way in which she moved the vehicle but this was the only way she could phrase it that made sense.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Hmmm? Why? It's fine" She said, easily overtaking someone and glancing at 'ell with a grin. "It's safe!"
Lorelai: “Watch the road,” she squeaked, her knuckles now going white with the effort of gripping the seat too tightly.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "You're acting like you've never been in a car before" She laughed, slowing down a tad
Lorelai: “I’ve been in a taxi before,” she replied, her hands not relaxing much at all.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "So..... what's wrong?"
Lorelai: “I feel like you’re trying to kill me,” she said softly. “Please can you just slow down a little more. I’m quite uncomfortable and I’m sure the stress of this isn’t good for the baby.”
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: That was a low blow that just about had CC slamming on the brakes of the car and driving like a little old woman, silently.
Lorelai: “Ana… Did I upset you again?” she asked when the woman said nothing but altered her driving anyway.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "No. You just thought I wanted to kill you is all!"
Lorelai: “I… Well…” there was no way to justify that but at least the pain in her knuckles had gone away since her fingers could now relax. “I’m sorry Ana. I was just scared. That’s all.”
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Why?"
Lorelai: “You were driving so… scarily?” she didn’t know how to describe it really so she just shrugged. Sensing perhaps that she needed to reconnect to Ana, she reached out and placed her hand on CC’s thigh. “I feel better now. Calmer.”
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC lowered one hand and put it on top of 'ell's hand, holding it against her bare thigh softly as she drove. "I'm sorry. I just.... like going fast"
Lorelai: “And that’s fine…When you’re alone. But you have baby and me to worry about now. We aren’t as indestructible as you remember?”
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She frowned at that, squeezing her hand. "You're not? You don't heal? And if anything happens, or when the time comes - I'll turn you. Then we'll never be apart"
Lorelai: “Why would you think I’m indestructible? I’m still human CC and when the time comes you should let me die. It will mean it’s my time. I’ll live longer than a normal person of course, but… I don’t have forever like you do my angel.” Lorelai was perfectly calm as she spoke, there was no hint of fear in her voice when she thought about her mortality, if anything she sounded like she’d welcome that day with open arms.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Well, cause.... you have to be." she said firmly.
Lorelai: Lorelai laughed softly, her fingertips lightly stroking CC’s skin. “Sorry Ana. I’m just human. But I think that’s why you love me.”
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Well, as I said. If it comes to it. I'll turn you. You're mine, and you can't leave me"
Lorelai: “I’m sure we’ve had this conversation already Ana. I want to die. That’s the natural order of things. I told you I don’t want to be a vampire. Remember?” She was beginning to worry about how differently their thought processes were. In some ways that was perhaps a blessing, as it would mean they should complement one another nicely but in another way it would many, many more conversations like this one.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Uh huh" CC said placating, knowing she'd never let that happen.
Lorelai: Lorelai smiled, thinking that CC had actually listened to her, “You’ll understand my way of thinking eventually. It should get easier for you to see once we are living together. You won’t be able to miss I’m sure,” she laughed softly knowing how the apartment would likely soon be filled with plants and flowers and comforting scents that would help her relax.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She smiled and nodded, turning the corner to look for a parking space. "So, you sure you want to do this? Last chance to walk away" That was a lie, but hey.
Lorelai: “Oh I’m quite sure thank you,” she pulled on the belt wanting to lean over and kiss CC’s cheek, only to find herself stuck in the thing. “I want to move in with you. To live with you. It would be very difficult for us to raise our child together if we lived apart now wouldn’t it?” Lorelai couldn’t help but smile at her own words. As much as the child belonged to another, she didn’t want or require his presence in their lives.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She couldn't help but grin at that as she pulled into a parking space and turned off the engine. Unbuckling herself, she leant right over Lorelai, her body almost lying on the girl, and grinned. "Good!" She said breathily, leaning down to kiss her full on the lips.
Lorelai: She didn’t mind being trapped as she was. The proximity of CC made it hard for her to think and her heart fluttered as always as their lips touched. “Mmm,” she sighed contentedly, one hand on CC’s cheek. “We should go inside,” she reminded her not really being the exhibitionist sort.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Yup. We should." She purred, her fingers teasing at 'ell's waist as she kissed her again.
Lorelai: Lorelai lost herself in the second kiss and all too soon found that she was short of breath. Pulling back from CC she giggled, “You do know we aren’t there yet… Hm?” She lightly pressed her lips to CC’s and then tried unbuckling her belt so that she could get out of the car; once CC pulled away from her that was.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She chuckled and nodded, getting back in her seat and then opening the door. "Yeh, you're not as carefree as I am. I know. Come on then. Let's get up the stairs!"
Lorelai: Once out of the car, she moved to try and retrieve her things before CC could argue with her about not carrying stuff while pregnant. It seemed a strange rule, especially when she felt stronger these days than she had ever done before. CC seemed eager to get upstairs and she couldn’t say she wasn’t equally as enthused for what the night might bring but then she was still a little hesitant when it came to their physical relationship. The nerves began to show on her face and she tensed up slightly but only for a moment, as her usually composure quickly returned.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC headed for the boot and scowled at Lorelai as she spotted her reaching for bags. She let her have a carrier bag, but no more than that, and then took the rest herself - closing and locking the car behind her. However, she caught a weird look on Lorelai's face and frowned again. "You ok?"
Lorelai: Clutching the bad she’d obviously been allowed to take to keep her quiet, she nodded. “I’m fine,” she smiled warmly at CC but this time the smile didn’t quite reach her eyes.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC frowned at the lack of happy eyes and moved closer, letting her free hand slide over Lorelai's arm gently. "You sure? Cause you don't look it."
Lorelai: The feeling of electricity that shot through her body every time CC touched her thrilled her completely and so the smile on her lips finally reached her eyes. “It’s nothing to worry about Ana. I really am fine.” She wasn’t sure how to even begin the mix of emotions she felt inside of her in that moment.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She nodded her head slowly, not believing her but not pushing her - for now. She slid her hand down and took 'ell's hand, leading her on in and up to the apartment
Lorelai: Lorelai pulled herself close to CC’s side and momentarily rested her head on her shoulder as her hand squeezed hers. “So… We’re staying in and ordering takeaway. Is there anything else you wanted to do tonight?” Her tone was light and sounded carefree but there was something else in her voice that showed the question was slightly more leading than it seemed.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Mmm Hmm." She said. "Just as you wanted to. And we can do anything you like. Movie wasn't it?"
Lorelai: “You want to watch a movie with me? Do you actually sit still that long?” she asked. It sounded flippant perhaps but it was an honest question. CC didn’t seem the sort to be satisfied watching TV, she wasn’t sure she even owned one; even her work one was more for CCTV purposes. Lorelai wasn’t a big TV watcher either, so she didn’t really mind but in that many shows and films did interest her as they were all still a little new to her.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Ummmm.... I can try?" She laughed, having never actually watched a movie before unless she was without a limb and couldn't go anywhere.
Lorelai: “Do we even own any movies?” she asked, slightly confused. Lorelai knew she didn’t own any and since she couldn’t CC sitting still long enough to watch one, she was almost certain she didn’t own any either. Buying a movie would probably entail leaving the apartment, which she didn’t want to do once they crossed the threshold or having someone bring one to them, probably Leo, which also wasn’t ideal as far as plans went.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "No. But I've seen adverts for an internet service thing where you can order one and watch it online. I can hook up the TV to a laptop and we can watch one."
Lorelai: “Oh. I hadn’t considered that option,” she smiled up at CC. “What style of movie would you like to watch? Do you have a preference?” In some ways this conversation showed just how little this pair knew about one another, not that it phased Lorelai in the slightest as she hadn't considered this.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "No. But I think it' probably safer if you pick it. My tastes might be too.... dark for you." She sighed, thinking about how evil and blood crazed she was, especially when compared to 'ell.
Lorelai: “You do remember I rarely watched television at home my angel. I’m not really sure what style of movie I like. And faced with too many options I’m not sure I could choose,” she said honestly. It perhaps sounded like she was being difficult but she wasn’t, she was more than willing to watch a movie, wanted to watch one even, she just had no idea which one to watch. As they reached the elevator she pressed the button and turned so that she could look CC in the eye while she listened to her reply.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC leant against the wall and shrugged her shoulders. "Well. We will see what opens on the page after I sign up. Then we can take it from there yeh? I mean - what sort of mood do you want to feel from the film?"
Lorelai: Lorelai stepped onto the elevator when the door opened, having taken a few moments to consider what CC had asked. What did she want to feel? “I’d like to watch something that makes me feel… Hmm… I’m not sure. Something that won’t ruin the mood I’m in now I suppose.”
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She just laughed, shaking her head. "And what mood are you in just now? Precisely"
Lorelai: “Well,” she began pressing the button for the correct floor. “I’m not entirely sure I can accurately describe what I’m feeling right in this moment. I’m happy of course. Excited. Nervous. And a few other things. Do I sound silly?”
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "No no. Not at all. But I'm guessing then - A romance?"
Lorelai: “Would you be awfully disappointed to have to watch that kind of movie?” Lorelai wasn’t sure CC was into that sort of thing, not that she didn’t believe the woman was capable of being romantic. She’d seen very little of CC’s bad side, the one Leo had hinted at, and so tried to pretend it didn’t exist.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Why would I be disappointed?"
Lorelai: “Is it your style of movie?” she asked, as if the question were the answer to what she’d been asked.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "No movie is really my style. They're few and far between, me watching them I mean."
Lorelai: “Oh. Then perhaps we should find something else to do. What do you usually do when you aren’t working?” she asked forgetting who she was talking to for a moment.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC couldn't help but snort as she walked out of the lift onto their floor. "Really?"
Lorelai: It took Lorelai a few moments to figure out what she’s said to have caused that response. “Oh… Yes… Well…” she looked down to the floor and sighed softly. “Perhaps it would be good to find you a hobby away from work.”
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "I have one." CC smiled, squeezing Lorelai's hand. "You and the baby"
Lorelai: Lorelai smiled softly as she withdrew her hand from CC’s and then placed it to her angel’s cheek. “I am not a hobby Ana. Relationships aren’t a hobby; they are a commitment.” She stroked her cool skin with her thumb. “You want to be with me because you care about me. As I do you. But I would never cheapen what we have by calling it a hobby my angel.”
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "I thought a hobby was anything fun you did that wasn't work?!" She asked, confused and worried that she'd upset or offended Loreai somehow.
Lorelai: “Yes I suppose that could be a fairly accurate definition angel, but people as a general rule are not hobbies.” She curled the hand and brushed her cheeks with the back of her fingers before trailing her fingertips down CC’s neck and moving her hand to cradle the back of her neck before pulling her down to softly kiss her lips. “Am I a nothing more than a hobby to you?” she asked as she pulled back to look into CC’s eyes.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She kissed her back gently and shrugged. "With your definition, no. With mine, yes"
Lorelai: She laughed and took her hand once more. “Then perhaps we need to define our relationship more clearly. And perhaps find you a proper hobby so that you’ll be able to tell the difference.” She began rummaging around in the carrier bag looking for the keys to the flat but she had no idea where she’d put the set CC had given her and so her brow furrowed as she didn’t find what she was looking for.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC kissed the furrowed brow and pulled the keys from the woman's pocket with a smile. "******* pregnancy brain!" she chuckled softly and opened the door for them, picking her up and carrying her over the threshold as if they were just married.
Lorelai: “What?” she asked, thankful for CC’s ability to be able to locate the missing keys. “What is pregnancy brain? And…” she looked around them, the carrier bag resting on her thighs. “I’m quite capable of walking through a doorway Ana.”
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Yeh, well, this is what folks do when they move in together. Isn't it?" She asked, placing her down gently. "And pregnancy brain - it's where you get confused and forgetful. More so than usual."
Lorelai: “Oh I wouldn’t know…On either front I’m afraid. Sorry.” She gave a small shrug of her shoulders and then placed the carrier bag down against the nearest wall. “Are there any other traditions I should know of?”
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "I have no ******* idea!" She laughed, shutting the door and then setting her bags on the couch. "I just googled stuff."
Lorelai: “Well I suppose we could always start some new traditions. Though I suppose they technically aren’t traditions then,” her nose wrinkled as she considered her own words.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "All traditions had to start ******* somewhere right?" She grinned, opening bags and poking inside to see what she had.
Lorelai: “That’s very true,” she said as she moved to take CC’s hands out of her bags. “Can you really not wait until I’ve put everything away before you go rummaging through my belongings?” she teased. She had nothing to hide but still, she didn’t think she should be doing what she was doing.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "What's yours is mine?" She smirked, leaning forwards and licking Lorelai's cheek. "So, what's on the menu for tonight then?"
Lorelai: “For me… whatever you tell me is available. For you… I was thinking…” she pulled her hair back from her neck. CC licking her cheek didn’t upset her in the least, in fact she barely even reacted to it at the time and had simply brushed her cheek with the back of her hand.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Anything you want is on the menu. As for me.... that would be great. If.... you know? You're feeling strong enough?"
Lorelai: “I feel strong enough,” she said with a smile. “I’m not sure what I want to eat yet. So why don’t you feed first?” She trailed one her fingers down her neck and stepped closer to CC.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Because....." she purred, fingers dancing over Lorelai's skin where they could. "If I feed from you first.... we might get distracted with other things."
Lorelai: Her heart was all a flutter and she swallowed hard, her eyes closed as CC stroked her. “Oh… Of course.” She swayed gently where she stood waiting to see if CC was capable of the restraint she wasn’t.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC leant down, smelling the hormones buzzing from Lorelai so strongly that she could almost taste them. "God you're so amazing!" She moaned, her lips lowering and kissing the neck, scratching her fangs over the delicate skin. "But yes..... you need to eat." She said with a groan, pulling away and looking for the menus.
Lorelai: There was the faint fluttering of wings in her stomach as she packed up her belongings in the hotel; not that she had a great deal to pack. She was collecting up the last of her toiletries while she waited for CC to arrive and humming softly to herself. She’d never lived with anyone before and so she was both excited and nervous for what the future held. A future which included a child no less, something else she hadn’t planned on dealing with so soon, if ever. Lorelai stopped to fix her hair in the mirror, pulling back a couple of strands by her temples and pulling them back to secure them together so as to keep her hair from her eyes. Glancing back to the bed she realised she had a few more items than when she’d first arrived in the city; a fact that was obvious as she had filled her suitcase and had a couple of shopping bags next to it which held the overflow. She smoothed out her long floral dress as she looked back to the mirror, her hands pausing on her stomach as she wondered how much longer she’d be able to wear her normal clothes and lost herself to her daydreamings. This RP takes place on Sunday 25th May 2014.
