What happened to Grandfather? (Alexandrea, Private)
Ishani-Snow was a vampire now, though she still looked like her normal self, she had been informed she would never age, never change... that was until they realized she was a Mystic. That when she had awoken her first power, her first ability it had been that of the Mystic. Not that the child really understood what that meant, other than if she died, she could get a new body. Her siring, hadn't been planned at all, fact Ishani-Snow had been hurt, Habren had been trying to protect her but the little girl had been fearful and in that process had bitten her as she had seen Nimrod and Setne D Priest do to others. That had resulted in not her being like them, but a vampire. Not that she believed she was a vampire, fact she had been overly upset about her lack of Harry Potter powers too.
Yet there were other things that had resulted in issues. Such as when her grandmother tried to pull her outside and she had started to burn. They had rushed her to the hospitals later that night, where she had come across a nice woman who had said that apparently she had some sun disease and that she would no longer be able to walk around in the daylight. They didn't seem to notice that she wasn't exactly normal. She didn't bother to ask why. Fact, she seemed to only see her before disappearing for the night. Some doctor who tended to only focus on the 'special diseases' still she was sent home and her grandmother started to make 'special' care for her when they traveled to do those awful shows.
That had been a little over two months ago. She had done two shows. She had taken home the grand prize once and came in 3rd the other time. Ishani-Snow was getting dressed to get ready to go with her grandfather, while grandmother was off with her sister, and Ishani-Snow's great aunt Barbara who liked to claim she was the model for Barbie, thus the name. Not that Ishani-Snow believed her, she was far too old looking to be Barbie. Not that she played with Barbies in the proper sense of playing with them. She had to keep some in good shape though, otherwise Grandmother would notice.
“Miss Snow, your grandfather is waiting.”
The woman who had been hired to watch her while her grandfather worked during the time she couldn't leave the house entered the room as she was fixing one of her blue jumper dresses. Her blue eyes turned to look the woman over, her blond hair and green eyes sparkled. As she started to coo and swoon over how cute she looked. She frowned at the woman and went to put on her socks and shoes.
She wasn't listening to what the stupid woman had to say, she didn't really care what she had to say. She had bitten her twice now just to make her go away the last two days. Not for any other reason other than it was fun watching her stumble back in a panic confused why she left and how she would beg her not to tell on her.
Once her shoes were on she stood up and looked up at her, she smiled ever so sweetly, “I'm all ready now Jane.” she beamed. “Is it really safe for me to go outside right now?”
She allowed the woman to babble about how the sun wasn't in the sky, that she would be safe, how lucky she was that she lived in Harper Rock where the sun didn't seem to beam down so much thanks to the cloudy days they had. While she took her hand and began to walk her into the living room, where her backpack had been set down. It would have her snacks and toys and things inside. Toys that were meant for a small child, not so much for her. She had no choice but to go with it for the time. They wouldn't actually be at work with him, he would be coming home after super, apparently Grandfather didn't know how to cook. So he thought it was best they go out to eat, he didn't normally work so late but he was shifting his hours a little more so she could have some free time outside. If you counted shifting his hours, two hours.
She grabbed her bag before doing her best, 'I forgot something' and ran off to her room. The babysitter was stupid, as she dumped out most of her toys and put in some of her favorite more dangerous things, putting even a few throwing knives into her dress pockets before heading back off to join her with a stuff elephant that was named Mini Baby, after her big elephant from the Tree Fairy. “Can't leave without Mini Baby” she said holding it up to the babysitter who just nodded and coo some more words at her like she was the cutest thing she ever seen. She would kill her, she really would.

Re: What happened to Grandfather? (Alexandrea, Private)
Harry used to be a real good cop once. But now riding a desk, even as the Police Commissioner, Harry wasn't exactly 'good' anymore. To call him corrupt would be a bit too harsh, Harry just looked at it as a way to keep his mind sharp.Role play as Harry O'Sullivan, Snow's grandfather and soon to be Alexandrea's thrall.
Besides, the town had been going into the crapper for a couple years now. Harry had started to stash extra money away quietly, telling no one. Not even his wife. He would make sure she would be taken care of, he just didn't want to worry her. But he had already been thinking about if the time came he had to take his wife and the kiddo and split.
Lighting a cigar, Harry leaned back in his armchair. There was no rush. Grinning, the man enjoyed his smoke while Sports Center played on the television. It was good to have options. Lots of options.
The Commissioner had been funding the Mayor's campaign for years with dirty money, always anonymously, and this year there was some new fresh faced kid running for the office as well. Harry took a snip of his scotch, still grinning.
He didn't know who the Mayor's latest competition was but he knew a good horse when he saw one being put out into the race. Harry O'Sullivan made a note to arrange a "chance' meeting with the lad.
He then buzzed his secretary; "Gladys? Be sure to let me know when my Dollface gets here. I'm ready for dinner."

Re: What happened to Grandfather? (Alexandrea, Private)
The babysitter kept stopping at every reflection she had on the way there. Unknown to Ishani-Snow that the woman was trying to hit it up with someone high in power and apparently she either thought her Grandfather was that sort of man to take on a younger woman, or she thought her grandfather could hook her up with someone. It wasn't like Ishani-Snow had any uncles, at least not that she knew of. So why she had to stop and adjust herself at every reflection only began to upset the little girl who was forever seven... unless she got a new body and even then from what she had been told, she would just end up back at seven years of age.
Ishani-Snow did not mind, she thought most old people were stupid, and that most of all included the woman walking her down the street to get to her grandfather. By the time she actually made it there it was late. She didn't know where her grandfather would take them out to eat, but she hadn't been able to eat without throwing it up but she kept that hidden from her grandparents, so far she was doing a really good job of it.
“Hello, we're here to see Mr. Harry O'Sullivan”
She had enough, she waved slightly at the man at the metal detector before running through it. It went off but she didn't stop. She slide under one of their legs and then darted around another until she made it up the flight of stairs, three cops and a babysitter at her heels She waved at Gladys before opening the door to her grandfather's office “Grandfather!” she would had ran up[ to him and hugged him but one of the cops grabbed her arm yanking her back.
"Sorry sir she went off, we have to check her.”
She did the logical thing, she screamed as though someone was hurting her. She learned pretty early on that people took what her mother did to mean that she had some issues and she used it fully to get what she wanted when she wanted and right now, them checking the bag would be very bad. Tears began to fall as she seemed almost to be in a panic or having a flashback which she played fully into, by begging him not to hurt her.
Ishani-Snow knew her grandfather would save her,. After all, he like her grandmother wanted to keep her safe and wanted her to feel safe. Her grandmother tried to pretend that it never happened, to the point she never even brought up her mother when she was near. Fear most likely it would result in a fit, like she was having now... that normally happened at bath time or when she was given candy instead of cakes. Ishani-Snow knew that her mother was making her stronger, at least that's what she had chosen to believe to adapt to the abuse the woman had forced on her but she really did not like bath time, she did fine with showers but a bath always meant that she was held under and she didn't like it when she couldn't breath.

Re: What happened to Grandfather? (Alexandrea, Private)
The perks that came with the job aside, Harry was bored with being tied to a deck. If it hadn't been for him making a few deals on the side, Snow's Grandfather would have retired years ago. Things had changed in Harper Rock since Harry was a kid, and he had seen a lot of his buddies changing too, even the now Mayor of the city.Alexandrea wrote:Role play as Harry O'Sullivan, Snow's grandfather and soon to be Alexandrea's thrall.
Once Harry was moved to the big office in city hall, some of his buddies made new buddies who in turn became buddies of the one time beat cop. And year by year Harry O'Sullivan had cultivated a friendship or at the very least a working relationship with every mover and shaker in town. Harper Rock's Commission of Police was a well connected man.
Gladys buzzed him to tell him that the was an incoming call, one that Commissioner O'Sullivan would be wanting to take, and Harry picked up the old fashioned deck phone with the rotary dial. The older man's grin had a boyish charm, an almost mischievous quality, to it as he exchanged a few words and hung up. It had been the campaign manger of the new mayoral candidate, setting up a lunch meeting.
Reaching over, he buzzed his secretary again. "Gladys, mark my calender for the 15th. If there is anything between the hours of 1 and 5, cancel or reschedule it. I have a new friend to make." He knew the woman would be able to tell by his tone that whomever Harry was meeting, he wanted it kept low key. Gladys confirmed his request without hesitation.
But before the secretary could let go of the intercom's talk button, Jane's voice announcing her arrival with the Commissioner's granddaughter was heard. Harry groaned a bit. The babysitter annoyed him. He could tell that the young woman annoyed Snow as well. Harry kept a closer eye on things than he let on, and Snow seemed to have changed since Jane had come to work for them.
The door to his office flew open and he stood from his chair with a huge smile for his girl as a cop dared to touch his little princess. His granddaughter had been through enough in her short life and Harry wasn't about to let anyone else cause the child harm. Snow was already panicking, yelling her little head off.
"Hey now, take your hands off of my Granddaughter right now or you'll be walking the worst beat in town for the rest of your days on the force!"
The Commissioner had spoke softly but with forcefulness, his gaze bore into the other man's eyes. The cop swallowed hard, apologized, and left the room. Harry looked over at Jane, once he had taken Snow into his arms. "You're late. Again."
"And why were you, whose supposedly hired to be protecting this child, just watching this happen? You, you were standing right there! And you let that flatfoot touch my granddaughter? You are fired. Hit the streets, now." It was bad enough that the babysitter sometimes wandered off and didn't even apologize, thinking no one knew. It was something however, that Harry couldn't prove as a reason to dismiss the woman. But this was the last straw.
His voice still hadn't been raised in volume, but the was no mistaking the tone. Harry was not about to be argued with and the Police Commissioner was not a man to be messed with.

Re: What happened to Grandfather? (Alexandrea, Private)
Just as Ishani-Snow had thought, her grandfather would assure that what was in her bag remained hidden and she had to thank her mother for that. Not only that but that awful babysitter who seemed more into her grandfather or whoever her grandfather would be able to give her for a 'husband/boyfriend' for that matter was now gone. That meant of Ishani-Snow would have to think of something else and she already had a plan...
She rubbed her eyes as she took heavy breaths, once she was free it was clear she began to calm down, but still she wrapped her small arms around her grandfather, repeating that she was sorry over and over again while he spoke to her babysitter. Who however didn't seem to want to lose her job at all.
“I tried to stop him. I did. She should of let them check her bag, but she was in such a hurry to see you that she didn't stop when they told her she just kept running. I tried to stop her, I tried but... I didn't want to get in trouble with the law either.” the woman was sobbing. “Please give me another chance. I love... I love Snow” It was clear to her that it wasn't Snow she wanted to say she loved but that she was simply a stand in. “I even got her dressed all perfect for you. I even made sure the apartment wasn't a mess and... and I made sure she took her meds and... I take really good care of her.”
This wasn't untrue, of course by taken care of Ishani-Snow it meant that she feed from the woman and was able to get some free time away from her. She might as well had wandered the halls seeing as most of them had no windows that would result in her burning, but she really didn't like how this woman was always on her, Sethen hadn't been like that and either was Father Alexander when he was around. She hoovered if it wasn't for the biting her she would never get any alone time.
Sniffling she rubbed her eyes some more and looked at her Grandfather, “I want a new Nanny” she said softly, as if afraid that the woman would snap at her, or as if she had done so in the past when things weren't done just right. So low was her voice that it was barely a whisper and not something likely to be heard by the sobbing mess of a woman who was now holding on her grandfather's arm. She shifted, hiding behind her grandfather almost as if afraid of the woman, “Grandmother picked her...” as if that said everything.
Her grandmother put trust in strangers, always believing in the best of everyone. No one was truly evil or mean or unkind in this world she would say, everyone should have a chance to prove they had learned from their mistakes. She loved bother her grandparents but Ishani-Snow knew her grandmother was pretty simple and naive and from what she had gathered so had been her mother before her father got in touch with her... but that was just what she knew from stories, Ishani-Snow had no proof of this.

Re: What happened to Grandfather? (Alexandrea, Private)
Harry picked up Snow in his arms after Jane was done yapping and the little girl mentioned her Grandmother. His princess wasn't as fragile as some would think but she didn't need this crap, either. The man knew the child was a lot smarter and stronger than she should be but he attributed those qualities to what Snow had been able to survive. She'd adapted. That's all. Harry was proud of the kid for that.
But he knew Snow was also hurt emotionally from what his daughter had done. Harry tried not to think about it, he still loved his daughter and always would. The last thing his little princess needed was to be roughed up by some Cop. And that Nanny! The Commissioner rolled his eyes at the woman as he carried his granddaughter over to his chair, the big leather armchair he had never let her sit in before. He sat her down gently and then picked up his cigar from the sparkling clean crystal ashtray. It had never been used. Harry never lit his cigars inside. The Police Commissioner only ever smoked on one of his 'walks'.
"Jane. Let's you and me take a walk, together. Shall we?" Butter couldn't have melted in Harry's mouth as he grinned at that Jane woman before he bent over, giving Snow a kiss on the top of the head.
"Be good for Gladys here for a just few minutes, Dollface. I'm gonna go give Jane the ol' heave ho." Was whispered into the little girl's ear before Harry stood up straight. He grabbed up a lighter as he ushered Jane out the door.
A quick word with his secretary after leaving the door to his office open and after that it was simple for the Commissioner of Police to bypass security even with a civilian in tow. Perhaps it also had something to do with the fact that they we on the way out, security in Harper Rock had increased everywhere the last couple years.
Once outside; Harry didn't take any longer than it took to bite the tip off of his cigar and get it lighted well before looking Jane directly in the eyes. His face wasn't kind.
"I won't beat around the bush. I don't like you. I don't like your attempts at trying to get me to like you and I don't want you around my granddaughter, my wife or me. You are fired. And if you walk away now, right now... I'll at least give you a halfway descent reference. Say even one more word and I'll have you blacklisted from here to Niagara Falls."
He took a long drag on the cigar and then blew the smoke into the woman's face when she took too long to walk away. Harry watched her leave with a smile, enjoying a few short puffs on his smoke. He put it out in a nearby ashtray after making sure that Jane got in a cab, then went back inside the building straight into his office. No one asked what had happened to the woman he had been with.
"Take the rest of the night off, Gladys. Thanks for everything, you're a Doll." Commissioner O'Sullivan said to his secretary and the two exchanged nods good night.
Closing the office door, he smiled at his little Angel. How could anyone could say Snow was hard to handle, Harry couldn't see it. All you had to do was ask her to be good.
"I'm back, Princess. What do you feel like having for dinner?"

Re: What happened to Grandfather? (Alexandrea, Private)
Ishani-Snow wrapped her arms around her grandfather, even though her body was not shaking, her breathing had seemly calmed down she still had tears trailing down her cheeks the girl had been a born to be an actress. As her grandfather put her down in his overly large chair she looked at him as if she was about start having a melt down again, but as he seemed to make it clear he was simply going to take care of matters dealing with her 'nanny' she nodded her head slowly.
She knew her role, she opened the smaller part of her bag, the part that held a drawing pad and crayons, the only 'toy' she left minus a DS lite that had pokemon from Setne her old babysitter/nanny. She carefully opened her box of crayons and her drawing pad and took out the black one, to start drawing knowing that was what her grandparents had come to expect in many ways. They always stated she wasn't hard to handle but every nanny she had since Setne and even the ones prior to him, had always said she was far to hard to handle... that she was dangerous. She was sure even some of the cops she had kicked and stomped and fought had some choice words but with her grandparents in sight, she played the perfect grandchild.
Ishani-Snow was overly neat, overly clean, with a few fears... like baths. She had been thought to have a serious case of OCD but in the end it was deem something that her mother had and she would grow out of as she got older. There were things that resulted in fits, unreasonable, unbelievable fits. Things like when her grandmother would try to make her go to church... she didn't like going to that awful place and the one time her grandmother thought to get her baptist, she had bitten the priest, kicked him the face breaking his glasses. Needless to say they hadn't tried, summing it up to whatever her mother did to her and that they would try when she was older.
Still these were things that were expected her mother had been overly Catholic, she had gone to Africa to spread God's love. It was there that Ishani-Snow's real father had his way with her mother, and what started the down spiral of her mind. Her mother's belief in killing life had her carry her and when asked who the father was, over and over she would repeat the devil until her real father claimed that they had 'done the deed' but he hadn't wanted Ishani-Snow, instead wanting to give her up. Her mother at that point mind had snapped, she would cleanse the child... and she did... holding her under the water until she was unable to even struggle, starving her, none of this had been a sign to anyone until she at daycare, and they noticed how smart she was. They put her in school and it was clear she was a genius, her mother got smart, she began to find other ways to keep her daughter 'pure' without people knowing about it. Once it was shown that Ishani-Snow was a genius due to her photographic memory, they gave her a GED and sent her on her way... and that was when things with her mother got worse.
As her grandfather walked back in she showed him a picture of him with a superman like cape on saving the day from the evil nanny. Then began to carefully put her things away. “Chinese” it was the first thing to pop into her mind. Food for her had been her nanny, now she would have to find new food. Her main goal now would be to somehow hide the food that she would 'eat' it wouldn't be to hard she supposed. She would put it in her napkins and then shove it in one of the plastic baggies in her pockets... then throw it away when she went to the restroom. Besides hadn't the doctor told them that she had something wrong with her? They just didn't know what it was...
Re: What happened to Grandfather? (Alexandrea, Private)
"Then Chinese, it is!" Harry announced and gave his granddaughter a formal bow. Standing upright, he held out a bent arm at an angle. "If I may escort you, my lady?" The man was hard as nails with almost everyone but he was putty in the hands of Snow and his wife.Harry
After the pair had waltzed their way passed security and out of the building, Harry picked up Snow and set her up on a wall about the hieght of his chest. "Get up on my shoulder's kiddo. Old Grandpa's going to give you a ride." Once the little girl was settled and Harry was holding her bag so Snow could hold his ears, The Commsioner of Police took off at a brisk trot, snorting and neighing like horse. (well, maybe not a lot like a horse but he tried his best.) Many noticed but they all pretended not to.
There was outdoor seating at the New Chinese just over the river, and Harry wanted to eat outside with Snow. She didn't get as much fresh air as she used to, before her diognosis. He wished they could figure out what was wrong with the child and try to give her the most normal childhood possible but no one seemed to know what Snow had. Harry sighed and the 'horsey-ride' slowed, the older man was running out of gas just as the restauront came into view.
"I hope you like this place, Princess. I haven't actually tried it yet myself."
Harry sat down on a sidewalk bench so Snow could get down to take his arm again and they went up the path to the entrance side by side. "Two for the Patio, please." Commisioner O'Sullivan said as he cut in line at the front and flashed his badge. The young lady nodded and led the way to a table with a sign that said 'reservered.' The hostess took the sign away and waved over a bus boy to remove the extra place settings.

Sipping on some Jasmine Tea as she waited for her Spring Rolls, Alex watched the river flow by from her cozy little table with a view and smiled in the warm breeze. It was a lovely summer evening and the night was young. She fanned herself gently with a fan made from thin sandalwood, utterly relaxed until a wave of irritation flowed over her for the briefest moment. Alex ignored the empathic rush and let it just wash over her even as she turned to see what the trouble was.
The line at the entrance seemed to be muttering and between dark looks and a few unhappy remarks her vampire ears could easily overhear, Alexandrea guessed correctly that someone had cut in line. Her eyes caught movement off to her side, so she turned her head and saw an older man and a child being seated not far from her. The reserved sign and other place settings being removed didn't escape her notice and the blonde wondered how the man had managed to swipe someone else's table on such a busy night.
The man pulled out a chair for the little girl who was with him and that was when Alex saw the child's face. It was her friend, Snow. So who was the man??? Alexandrea tried to remember if she had met Snow's Grandfather at the little girl's birthday party last year and came up blank. Whether he was or wasn't, it didn't worry Alex. Now that Snow was also a vampire, although Alexandrea wasn't happy about it, she worried a lot less about the little girl running around the streets at night.
And... wait. Alex took a closer look. The man had to be Snow's grandfather, Alex was sure of it. Just as sure as she was that the man was a heart beating, blood pumping human. So.. what was Snow doing here? Where was her grandmother? And how the hell was Snow going to pull off eating and not get sick?
*Hey Snow.* The Allurist sent into her friend's mind. *Look to your left and over by the railing to the dock.* Alex waited until she saw the little blonde's head face her way and waved the sandalwood fan about like mad.

Re: What happened to Grandfather? (Alexandrea, Private)
Ishani-Snow's grandfather was rather a strange man if she truly thought about it. It was almost has if he had a switched, which in all truth she wasn't far from having such a switch either. She always pretend to be the perfect little girl in front of her grandparents even though she was far from that. Very few really truly knew the little girl's real personality, that she enjoyed sending souls to her father (or so she thought she was doing), that the very act of killing was not beyond her would make anyone question it. That she had not been caught not even by her grandfather stated that she was smart enough to know how to 'hide' her tracks. Still, she felt that her Grandfather also played a secondary role, the role of 'grandfather' and then his real self. If she thought about it more, she likely would of understood she was more like him than either of them would admit.
Picking up her bag, so her wouldn't grab it she swung it around her shoulders. She knew the machines would likely go off if she went through it but who would seriously think that the little girl had any real weapons, more so when she was this man's granddaughter. Taken his arm she looked up at him, “You may, Grandfather.” she said reaching up and grabbing his arm as well as she could. As they made they're way outside, without anyone stopping them, she smiled a real smile. A smile that widen as they were safely outside, though anyone would think it was the idea that she was about to ride on her Grandfather's shoulder. Her bag in her grandfather's hand she wrapped her hands around his forehead as she giggled, at his horse like movements, only near the end when they were there and she was back on the ground, taken her bag from him she beamed up, “Baby isn't a pony, she's an elephant remember?” as if she had thought he was trying to be like her pet Baby. The only living pet that didn't seem to hate her at this point.
She took his hand as he lead the way towards outside, and she crawled up onto her chair, her bag on the chair next to her. She wouldn't be needing the little bags to put her food in, she kicked her legs slightly as she looked down towards the water. “Grandma took me here for my Birthday party last year. Me and Nimrod.” she said looking up at him. He had been working but he had been there before they left and when they got home from the party. “All of grandma's weird friends were there.” she didn't like how the old women tried to make her knit or scrapbook. She really didn't like how they kept buying her pink either, she didn't like pink. “Is blue really a boy color Grandfather?” she said looking up at him, her Grandmother allowed her, her blue dresses but always liked to point out that young girls should wear pink at least. She did, when she had no choice but overall she liked blue the most.
As she heard the Tree Fairy's voice in her head she turned and looked around slightly until she saw Alexandrea, “Lookie Grandfather... That's the lady who takes care of Baby for me” which of course meant that she was the lady that bought Baby and left her in the apartment bathroom for a rather shocking surprise. Grandmother had not been to pleased to find the creature there. She had even called a zoo to come and get it out of her house. Positive it had stolen. Fact most people dealt with her Grandmother more than they ever did with her Grandfather, and she wasn't even sure if her Grandfather ever actually knew of the Tree Fairy. He did know Father Alexander and seemed to get on well enough with him, likely because he was a Catholic Priest and they were a good 'Catholic' family... even if she kicked and scream not to go inside of the church itself.

Re: What happened to Grandfather? (Alexandrea, Private)
"Baby?" Harry asked at first then snorted. Snow meant that damn elephant. Sally had almost had a heart attack when they got home that night and his wife went in to use the bathroom. "What kind of bag of fruit loops gives a kid an elephant???" The man grumbled under his breath as Grandfather and Granddaughter took the short walk to the table and were seated. He didn't have a chance to pull out Snow's chair before the little girl scampered up on it to got comfortable, which made the older man smile. Seeing her behave like a regular kid always pleased him.Harry
"That's right, she did. I had forgotten the name of the place." Harry agreed with Snow about her party, nodding his head. "Your Grandmother spoke very highly of the spring rolls as I recall..." His grimace at the mention of his wife's choice of friends plain on his face made it clear that the Police Commissioner didn't enjoy the company of those hens anymore than Snow did.
As often was the case with most children, the topic of conversation flowed quickly from one subject to the next and when Snow made the topic about colours, Harry O'Sullivan was at a loss for words. "Pink, Blue what does any of that matter? You look beautiful in everything. Just like your M... Grandmother."
The man had changed what he was going to say quickly, while it had been true that both Snow's Mother and Grandmother were beautiful, at least to Harry, the older man did his best to never bring his daughter up in front his granddaughter. He pushed the thought of his only daughter out of his mind and focused on the menu in front on him.
"They have those dealios where we can get an assortment of things on a platter to munch on while we wait for our meal. Should I get us one? How hungry are ya, Princess? Would a couplea small appetizers spoil your dinner?"
Snow's attention was distracted from Harry at that moment, and he turned in his seat to look where the child's gaze went. He saw a Blonde with an infectious smile waving a fan at them and the older man waved back with a grin at the lovely blonde woman before his Granddaughter's words sank in. "That's who gave you that damn elephant?!?!?" The Commissioner growled, forgetting his language. "I should go over there and give Blondie there a piece of my mind!"
But before the man could get out of his chair, the woman Snow was looking at had risen from her own and was heading over to their table.
Soon after making eye contact with Snow, Alex's spring rolls arrived. It was a large order so it gave Alexandrea the opening she needed to go over and introduce herself. She saw her young friend and the older man with her looking Alex's way as she stood up and with the plate in hand, wandered casually over in their direction wearing her most charming smile.Alexandrea
Her full shine on, as only an Allurist could manage to do, Alex gave Snow a wink when she arrived, sending the little girl a warm hug with her mind. The little girl was funny about being touched with some people and Alex wasn't sure if the man with her might get alarmed to see a strange woman embrace a child that wasn't family. The world could bee a dangerous place, even without vampires and all the weirdness that was Harper Rock.
Seeing the two together, Alexandrea was more sure than before that the man had to be Snow's Grandfather. Alex didn't know who he was, but if the way he dressed and the special treatment the restaurant had given the man was any indication he must be someone important. In her most professional tone, Alex addressed them both.
"Good evening, lovely night, isn't it? Snow, so wonderful to see you again. I hope your Grandmother is well? Hello, I'm Alexandrea Quartermaine. Local business owner. And I have too many spring rolls for just one person. May I share them with my young friend here?"
It was a test. To see if whomever the man was, grandfather or no, if he had any clue about Snow's condition. To Snow, Alexandrea spoke mentally explained; *Try to get him to invite me to join you and I can help distract him when you spit out the food.*
