a little celebration [nishaa]
Almost two years of being a vampire.
One full of being a sire.
Every glanced at the calendar on her wall as she pulled on a simple black tank top over her head before grabbing the usual black sweatshirt she preferred to wear when she wasn’t planning on hunting. Too big for her slender frame, the cloth was left to hang open while the hem reached her upper thigh. With a hum escaping past her lips, the brunette wandered back into her living area to pick up her cell phone as she scrolled through her contacts in consideration.
Finding ‘Headache’, she tapped the screen with her thumb and stepped into her shoes as she sent a simple text message to Nishaa:
I’m thinking of doing something, wanna hang out? I’m going to head over to the apartment to grab a few things I need to return to the library, meet me there if so.
Granted, she didn’t know what she wanted to do. She had a few things that she needed to do – like shopping, which she wanted to put off until she was out of non-ripped jeans to wear, although she knew that shampoo was on her list. Unless she hiked out to her cabin where she had moved most of her ‘beauty care’ products, she had to go soon. Her eyes closed as she rolled them idly, disturbed at the idea as she tucked the phone into her pocket and headed to the elevator with a small yawn escaping past her lips.
It was only until after she was downstairs that she made her way past the heads on the spikes, leaving the very large tree fort that Every begun to whistle underneath her breath to distract herself. Her hand moved to where she kept the dagger hidden underneath her jacket, as if she were resting her hand on her lower back, and she quickly hurried through the wilderness right past the Triple Moon Temple in the direction of West Towers. She couldn’t help it as her lips pressed together at the sight of the building, pausing her whistling before she continued the action louder.
She moved the knife to her hip, wrapping her arms around herself to bring her sweatshirt closer and simply listened to her surroundings until she entered the elevator, tracking the area around her for anyone else as she exhaled uncomfortably. Between the elevator itself, and the memory that plagued her... She pushed it out of her mind. Each floor brought her discomfort. Anxiety twisted and turned in her gut. “Every!” Her wraith called out the moment she stepped out of the elevator, Cypriana often acting as a door bell for her. “No one has been around.”
“Tell me if one of my childer are coming, I sent a text to Nishaa.” The brunette muttered as she dug for her keys. What color did she paint the apartment key again? Oh right. The orange one.

Re: a little celebration [nishaa]
West Towers.
She rarely went there, she had when she was a fledgling - crashing at that apartment when she could but now she mostly crashed at Micah's sewer dwelling it was the closest place with a bed that was right next to the sewer entrance. She trained there a lot, nothing much else to do, apart from stalking Paige. The woman she had felt a rather large attraction to. She smiled more or less to herself as she shoved on a pair of brown breeches, she'd bought them online, they were right up her street, not to girly. She didn't like girly. Not her thing. Her too half adorned a white blouse, the top three buttons unbuttoned revealing the pale flesh of her neck. Her raven black hair was put up, wrapped tightly in a bun.
Her phone buzzed in her pocket when she looked at the contact she saw the sire patrol she opened it up and read it allowed. Hanging out? She hadn't hung out with her sire in a long time, she replied to it quickly;
Yeah, sure - I'll be there soon just stopped off at the sewer dwelling to change.
She pushed the phone back into her breeches and headed over to the fadeportal - pushing herself inside the dwelling disappeared from her line of sight and the outside streets filled her eyes as she soaked in the scene. She made her way to West Towers which was only a train ride away before making her way to the apartment. She saw Evee's wraith. She had the strange ability to see the many wraiths, and spirits that lurked the streets she nodded her head in passing before pushing herself into the apartment.
"Evee." She called.

Re: a little celebration [nishaa]
The brunette considered why she kept the apartment as she opened the door, sticking her keys back into pocket as she went to collect a bag from her room and then tossed a few bottles of shampoo into it. At least then she’d have a few days to put off that sort of shopping. Her shoes made little sound as she wandered around, setting the bag down beside the door before she begun to check the plants scattered about the main room. Even before her death, she had liked flowers – now some were used for rituals.
Mentally, she added another amount of equipment to her list of things to get after noticing her bluehearts hadn’t been doing too well. A sigh escaped past her lips and she shook her head, straightening up as she went to wash her hands. Feeling her phone ringing in her pocket, she removed it from her pocket before a small smile played across her lips at seeing Nishaa reply.
Alright, door is open.
From habit of keeping things neat, she picked up a few books and went to put them on her bookshelf just as she heard Nishaa call out for her, just before Cypriana announced her arrival in the brunette’s head. The latter made her eyebrow twitch slightly and smile. Every set the last book in place before turning to wave at the other female. A year. It still made her wonder what would have happened had she decided to kill the cocky woman instead of turn her, but those thoughts never remained.
“Hey Nish. What do you feel like doing today?”

Re: a little celebration [nishaa]
She remembered her turning like it was yesterday, it was hard to believe that a year had gone by already so quick. She had been a thief, she had wanted to mug Every upon their first meeting - so much had changed how naive she had been to the world around her, though who would have thought vampires existed. She didn't, but who would have known?
Her eyes moved over to Every, watching her casually as she plonked herself down on the sofa crossing one leg over the other before running a tongue along her lips. Wetting her chapped lips.
"I've no idea, I haven't done anything fun in a while really, unless you count.."
She paused and gave a coy smile, the woman was hiding something a secret from her sire. The secret of her girlfriend she hadn't had a chance to tell her about the news, actually she hadn't had a chance to tell the woman she called her sire.
"Having fun with my girlfriend."
The word fell so easily from her lips as she smiled again pushing at the loose strands of hair and tucked them behind her ear she brought a hand to her knee and rested it there.
"You got anything in mind, sire-patrol?" She asked.

Re: a little celebration [nishaa]
"You're dating again?" Surprise mixed with disbelief.
She thought about the relationship with Zoe and how Every had been the one that had to tell a returning-from-the-dead Nishaa about the woman's death. It made her happy to see her beloved childe moving on from that pain. She had been able to see it when she saw the woman, and the relief on her features were evident as she moved to sit down opposite of her in one of the two black beanbag chairs that had been added.
Every could feel her taser pressing into the waistband of her jeans as she crossed one leg over the other, getting comfortable. She leaned forward to collect something from the drawer in her table and tossed an unopen package of Blistex at the female, returning to the way she'd been sitting.
"I'm happy for you."
And she was. It had upset Every to watch the ones she loved to unravel like that and comforting people wasn't always her best subject - depending on the person, she could actually make it worse in some situations because she panics and her mouth to brain filter vanishes like her nerves had suddenly appeared. In all honesty, it was likely because even Every wasn't very good with being comforted.
"Well. We reached our one year mark, a first for me." Her eyebrows lifted, "As for having a childe, that is. I'm almost at year two with Micah. Maybe we can do something to celebrate that?" She offered. She didn't care what they did, really, so long as they spent time together.

Re: a little celebration [nishaa]
“Yeah.” She said, shrugging her own shoulders lightly.
“She’s real nice. Paige her name is, Axel’s childe – Girly boy’s grandchilde. I stalk her, she stalks me – and a relationship formed, and lots of kissing and growling. It’s great.”
She didn’t really want to get on the topic of Zoe. She was over her now, it took her almost a year to do it. The woman had taught her that being a *****, and whore was not all it was cracked up to be. “Do you know how hard it is to find a decent lesbian vampire around these parts?” She laughed. “You’d be surprised.” She gave a smug smile, like there was more to be said – but the things she wanted to say she was sure Evee didn’t want to hear so she left it.
“Congratulations.” She said with a smile, in relation to Every and Micah reaching their two mark. That was something to be happy about indeed, but the herself and Every had also reached their one year. One whole year of mischief of a love-hate relationship. She loved it, and so did Every, though she never admitted as such there were times where she would be affectionate and tell Nishaa she loved her, and of course Nishaa would tell her she loved her also. Nishaa was also the jealous type. It was obvious, but she couldn’t stop Evee from siring others. She just chose not to like them instead.
“Maybe we can feed?” Yeah, it didn’t sound that exciting. “I’ve not really fed properly on a human. Perhaps, you could teach me?” A year down the road of being a vampire and not really feeding on a human. What kind of vampire was she? She laughed as if to mock herself. “I’m actually serious.” She stated.

Re: a little celebration [nishaa]
Every had seen her around at a few family events and she gave a soft nod of her head, chuckling quietly as the relieved look across her features was genuine. “Probably harder than it is to find a decent straight male in the city.” She frowned briefly, as if she considered her words but didn’t change them. She knew a few, but things were still a bit complicated in her mind and she was a little reluctant, but oh well. Every pursed her lips together briefly and then chuckled. “You deserve happiness, bebe.”
“Thank you.” There was a soft nod of her head when she returned the smile, thinking about the accomplishments that had been made in a year of being Nishaa’s sire and the two year mark of her turning with Micah. There had been fights, sure, but nothing had gone too sour. She was still growing stronger every day and it had taken a year and a half for her sire to actually shoot her for a mistake that she had made when getting distracted. With Nishaa, she had healed quite a bit after her failed sire/childe relationship with Hadrian.
She could still remember the day she had told him goodbye, and she could still remember placing her knife against his throat before she’d been ordered to stand down from attacking him. Sure, she’d shot Nishaa a few times, but it had been out of affection and it was a weird relationship that the two women shared. Every understood why Micah had stopped her and as she watched her childer grow, she knew that it would cut her deep to end their life even if they would return to her after. She’d seen his reactions to harming them, and she felt a chill return to her spine as she remembered Lelantos’ words that he was sorry that he hadn’t been able to protect her from Pratt.
Micah was an amazing sire and if she ever heard anyone say differently, the shadow was almost entirely positive that there would be an explosion of words and a temper. She was very protective of the man.
At the mention of not properly feeding on a human, Every sat up at that and lifted her eyebrows. She personally stuck to blood bags because of the awareness that people seemed to do. Even with a power, it was difficult those days. Considering this information, she gave a nod of her head. She’d simply just have to command the shadows around someone that wasn’t expecting it first. “Yeah, we can feed.” She smiled and got up off her seat, rubbing her backside for a moment before she sighed in thought. “Fresh blood might taste funny to me, I’ve been sticking to packs lately.”

Re: a little celebration [nishaa]
Happiness.
Yes.
She deserved it, and she knew she did. She had done well so far in this new life, she had trained so hard she had begun to love again. Everything was going good for her, she had friends, it was sturdy. Even healthy for her. Healthy was good. “Yes” She said with a smile. “I do.” She said, her thoughts lingering on Zoe for a moment. The scent of her hair, the taste of her lips. Zoe was her past the woman had helped her become what she is today. Even in death the woman moulded her. Helping her from beyond the grave, and she was grateful to the woman.
“Packs?”
She said, as she thought about it, wondering what she meant. Before it clicked.
“Oh, you mean the contraband. “ She nodded. “I get you.”
She didn’t drink the Contraband often, she boosted her own blood ninety nine percent of the time, she had grown accustomed to the taste the taste of fresh blood would be odd. It would be weird, could she stop? Her onyx orbs looked to the door as she turned from Every’s direction and headed over to the door, opening it and holding it open for her maker.
“Come on then.”
She told her, excited like a child to get the show on the road.

Re: a little celebration [nishaa]
She thought about the last time that she’d seen Zoe. The coldness in her eyes, the lack of care that she’d so carelessly slaughtered cops and had it been one or two, while Every wouldn’t have been happy with her, she would have understood. To that day, twenty cops was still overkill, even if they hadn’t known about her turning and she didn’t know what the hell to think about it all. She still wanted to place a well-aimed fist into Asher’s face, in all honesty.
“With the system being fucked up as of late, it’s just generally easier.” Every waved her hand idly, brushing aside those thoughts, “Shop is right there anyway.”
It had been a while since she’d hunted fresh prey, and it had been a pain when she initially made the transition from animal blood to human blood after her turning, she found that it wasn’t as difficult as she had thought it would be. Of course, it helped for the first few attempts that she had Somnambulism by that time. As a shadow, she was also able to make herself less noticeable, dimming lights and manipulating the shadows as she pleased.
Following after her childe, Every smiled and chuckled. She paused to lean up and press a kiss to Nishaa’s cheek in thanks before stepping outside over the threshold, reaching out to hold the door in return. “Hm. Clubs should be going now, bars too. Wickbridge?” Her eyebrow lifted as she considered the locations that they could go to. All they would really need to do is draw a straggler.
“I used to feed over in Wickbridge all the time by the water. That’s one of the reasons you met me over there.” She explained, lifting her freehand to run it through her hair briefly. Despite the time difference, she remembered how flesh would give a soft pop under the pressure just after breaking and there was just something about the metallic taste that lingered. Personally, she preferred clean, alcohol free blood.
“Are you still affected by certain drugs and alcohol?” She found herself wondering out loud, thinking about the way that she could easily be knocked flat on her *** if she wasn’t careful with poison chems. It was something that she’d inherited from Micah.

Re: a little celebration [nishaa]
Nishaa wrinkled her nose. She didn’t like blood packs. They were gross, synthetic blood. It wasn’t the real thing for her – or as real as boosting your blood could feel, you couldn’t blame a woman for wanting to step out of her comfort zone and try something different. She liked to push herself, push herself to try something new. Contraband blood though, you had to heat it up in a microwave to make it drinkable – even then, it would taste like cold Chinese from the night before – unedible. She let her eyes follow Every’s arm though, as she pointed out the shop with a shrug of her shoulders. She wouldn’t go to the shop often. She tended to go there when she needed ammo. (which was all the time.) She laughed a little and nodded her head. Making sure her sire knew she was following.
The woman who turned her came close, as her arm was still holding the door open for the other woman, she planted a kiss on Nishaa’s cheek and she smiled at the woman closing the door after herself and followed Every out into the night.
“Lets go thre then, I’ve always wanted to go to a club.”
She let off a shrill of laughter, that last part wasn’t true. She’d been to a club before – it was how she was sired, she had gotten so **** faced that she didn’t know which way was which. She had spoken about bunnies – and assumed Every was crazy, which was why she was bleeding out because she had been a meal for some other vampire.
“Not that I know of, the last I got drunk..”
She laughed.
“Well, you remember what happened.”
She threw her a wink.
