--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--
Roderic: Thing Two. * Nods at her *
katerina: Thing One. -two can play that game-
Roderic: What did Nix say? * He crossed his arms at his chest, cleared his throat and looked around. * Reminds me about Thing One. We should cut him out of the line. Waste of space.
katerina: You are Thing One now. And Nix said she would meet us at the mall.
Roderic: Do we have to go to the mall to buy what we need? Isn't there some place that's not a mall? To get these things at?
katerina: I am sure, but the mall has the most stores. Something wrong with malls?
Roderic: There's more people there. But if we have to go, we should get going. Get it over with. * Nodded his head *
katerina: -eyed him- Such a brave man. Your courage is an inspiration to all. You drive? I don't have a car.
Roderic: You want me to drive? * He looked her over, judging what she was wearing. * I don't think you'll be comfortable.
katerina: Its either that or I sprint us to the mall. Your choice.
Roderic: Alright. Your call. * He shrugged his shoulders before he started walking off to where his ride was. A black motorcycle with some chrome pieces in various places like the kick plate, and twin exhausts. * Come on then. * He climbed on it and waited for her. Then decided to offer her a hand if she needed it. He figured most women would. Especially if they're in a dress. *
Phoenix: Nix hadn't bothered with a car. Beta was far too close to the mall to worry about driving, so the redhead walked. She loved summer, but extended daylight hours made for a difficult time running errands. Thankfully, she was lucky enough to not be overly bothered by the fading rays of the sun, but even so she stepped into the false light of the mall and out of UV rays as quickly as she could, and there she waited. The woman had nothing better to do, so she didn't mind. Arguably, she could have better spent the time she waited for the pair getting ready. While she didn't look nearly as rumpled as she had over the past few days, her hair was still a wild, tangled corona of flame. At least the black dress pants and emerald silk blouse made her seem a bit more put together.
katerina: -She grinned when she saw the bike. She walked over to it and hoisted her leg over, as if she was mounting a horse almost. She didn't know why a motorcycle made her so excited- Lets roll.
Roderic: * When she started getting on by herself, he decided to make use of the time and start the cycle up. When Thing Two indicated she was ready to go, Roderic pushed the clutch up, looked around once, then twice to make sure no traffic was coming, then took off to the mall. He knew where it was, but avoided it as best as he could. He didn't know where Nix was or when she would show up, so he parked the bike, cut the large machine off and put the kick down.* Did she say where she'll meet us?
katerina: No, but I will text her. -she said as she pulled her phone from her purse.- [txt] Hey, we are here. Where exactly did you want to meet at?
Phoenix: [text] I'm at the south entrance, waiting in the doorway.
katerina: [txt] We will be right there. She is at the South entrance. -she grinned at her sire-
Phoenix: She didn't reply - instead, she waited at attention for the pair to arrive. Ric's expression as he entered would likely be priceless.
Roderic: * He waited for Katerina to do what she needed to do and then for her to get off the cycle. When she did, he followed after her, knowing she knew how to get to Nix. She wasn't an idiot. * How long do you think this will take?
katerina: She lead the way, and there was almost a spring in her step from excitement. The idea of trying on beautiful gowns all night sounded amazing to her. "Oh, I don't know. A couple hours?" She grinned back at him. She thought that if she told him she didn't have any plans on leaving till just before sun up he would turned around and get back on his bike. And we cant have that. She she kept walking till she walked though the doors of the South Entrance. She almost chuckled when she saw the Matriarch of her family.
Phoenix: When she spotted the pair striding towards the door, one far more enthusiastically than the other, a wry grin curled her lips. Oh yes, this was going to be fun. As soon as the door swung open, admitting the pair, Nix beamed to Katerina, "Clothes shopping is going to be fun!" Though she'd looked to Katerina to greet her with a smile, her eyes remained fixed on Ric. She wanted to soak in his horror.
Roderic: Nix wanted to go clothes shopping? Nix liked clothes shopping? Things were getting worse. He didn't think things could get worse if she wasn't with Axel anymore. He had ruined her, but he ruined her more when he broke up with her. Ric still had to plot how he was going to make his life miserable. He looked away from Nix and from Thing Two to see how many people were in the mall. Too damn many. And they were going to be here for hours? He groaned, raised a hand to his face and let it run down it. Slowly.* It shouldn't take hours. I already told you what color would be alright. * He nodded and looked at Nix * You feeling alright?
katerina: Her sire's expression was priceless. She was determined to have in a nicely tailored suit by the end of the night. But she was also looking forward to girl time with his sire.
Phoenix: Despite the mess of her hair, Phoenix felt fine. Axel had shown his true colors and she wasn't even the least bit upset anymore - absolute rage had felt good. It was just too bad that Strix had essentially been erased from Nix's life. Oh well, she thought, people change. "I'm good. Really good." She grinned, clearly satisfied with Ric's discomfort. "We need to try on the colors - you can't just pick and go."
katerina: I think, just to be absolutely sure that we find the best tux of course, that he needs to try on ALL the colors.
Roderic: "Why not? I like darker colors. It's mostly what I wear. I think I look alright in what I wear." He protest, quietly before he changed the topic to her. "Good. It's good you're good." He said before shooting a glare at Thing Two. "So we're dating?" He looked at Nix and then at Thing Two and back at Nix. "Since we're hanging out together. This is dating, right? It seems more like tormenting."
katerina: Then would you look at that. We're already married.
Phoenix: She opened her mouth to say something, but then just as quickly let it fall shut. The redhead, for all her power, had nothing to say when faced with Ric's innocent little statement. "No... We are not dating... We're shopping," she pointed out gently before turning to lead the trio into the depths of Ric's personal hell. "I think he'd look nice in a nice charcoal suit, don't you? Maybe with some green accents. Shirt and tie..." She beamed, pointedly avoiding the topic of dating.
Roderic: Married? * Calix did say he was married and that married couples sometimes had other people in their lives. This whole dating and marriage thing was beyond him. Too much to think on. It was a headache. * Tie? We don't need a tie. I don't need a tie. Suits don't need ties. * He processed what Nix said and shrugged. * If a man and a woman, or in this case a man and two women are hanging out together, then it's a date. That's what I was told. I didn't realize hanging out had labels or titles. * He walked behind the two women, deciding if it got to be too much, he would just duck in to a store and shadow out. *
katerina: You need a tie because your suit needs a tie. -she looked back at him and noted his expression, so she fell back two steps and looped her arm in with his- don't even think about bailing.
Phoenix: "Suits need ties," she agreed, slipping into the first men's boutique she spotted. She and Kat could go dress shopping once Ric was set. i.e. before he ran away. "He needs something high end."
katerina: "I think he would look rather dapper in tail coats" she said, her eyes already starting to pick out the man's torture attire.
Phoenix: "Nah, coat tails aren't sexy or suave unless you're a conductor."
Roderic: No I don't. Just some thing hanging around is good. I'm only going to wear it once. As promised. *He reminded Katerina. * Yeah. What Nix said. * He smiled appreciatively *
Phoenix: "You'll wear it more than once," she corrected, gauging his response. He was smiling - weird.
Roderic: No I won't. * He was smiling because the second he was alone, he had a plan to get the hell out of here. They could pick him up any old thing to wear. *
katerina: Hey, don't argue with your sire. -she said as she pulled him further in to the store-
Roderic: It's not arguing when it's a fact. My work doesn't require me to wear suits.
katerina: Not everything is about work.
Phoenix: "No, but events do. I'd be sad if you didn't..." She blatantly would guilt him into suiting up.
Roderic: What events? * He asked her suspiciously as he moved around the store. Pretending to look at suits, as he checked out the layout of the store. *
Phoenix: "Formal family events," she followed him around, finally plucking a design she liked off the rack and shoving it in Ric's direction. The size looked about right. Now for a shirt. "Kat, you have any preference about color for him?"
katerina: "Anything but black. He wears far to much it as is" she said, her own face buried in a rack.
Roderic: We don't have formal events. * He looked at what Nix was holding and sighed. Suits were unnecessary. * I don't. There's nothing wrong with black. It stays cleaner. Or looks cleaner. Makes sense to wear it.
Phoenix: "This is charcoal," she explained patiently, holding the set out to him before wandering over to the shirt section. "Green? I kind of like these key lime ones... They're pretty flamboyant though; maybe we should start slowly. What about these ones? Indigo is in."
Roderic: * he took the suit that was passed to him then shook his head. * Key Lime? Sounds like a dessert. If I like this suit, can we buy it and leave?
Phoenix: "If it fits properly. You have to try it on."
katerina: Oh, and we need to find shoes that go with it.
Roderic: What's wrong with boots?
katerina: -she eyed him. Hard- I'll go look for shoes.
Phoenix: She looked at Ric. "Go try it on!"
Roderic: Ok. * They would regret telling him to go try it on. He didn't say anything else, he just went to the dressing room. Almost too eagerly. He hung the suit up, started talking about how he was in some sort of weird hell to himself. With Nix being all girly and Katerina working with Nix in this weird series of events, something wasn't right. With the suit out of his hands, a very small smile crept up on his lips before he vanished in to thin air. *
katerina: When he went quiet, he froze. "He did not just.." she mumbled, looking towards Phoenix. She walked towards the dressing room, and looked for feet under the door. "Get me the pinkest thing you can find" she growled.
Phoenix: She'd followed him to the door of the dressing room, and so she heard the muttering. More importantly, she heard when the noises stopped, just as Kat had. She glanced to the woman, clearly annoyed. "I have a better idea." Her hand went to the knob, trying it - locked. With a hiss, the redhead dropped to the floor and stuck her head under the change room door. "RODERIC," she shrieked directly into his mind, "You had better let me summon your *** back here. GET IN THE SUIT." And with that, she tried summoning him back into the changing room. She'd let Kat hear the screaming, just so she knew what Ric was in for, but a duller, more muted version of the shrieks.
katerina: She couldn't help but smirk at the grandsire. She sounded like she was going to skin Roderic.
Roderic: * He hadn't made it that far and it was almost tempting to ignore them both, but when he weighed everything out, he realized he was probably going to regret promising to wear a suit on the weekend if he didn't come back. He could just imagine how horrible it would be. So he stopped making his way under the structure and out the dressing rooms. * Fine. Black would be better. * He said as he returned back to where he was, thanks to Nix. * Men only. I think that's a rule. * He ducked down, now out of shadows and put a hand to Nix's shoulder, as if to push her back out from under the door to the changing room. *
Phoenix: She kept her head under the door, for all intents and purposes, looking like some kind of crazy person. "Nuh uh! I'm watching. You're outside the circle of trust, Focker." She paused, peeking over her shoulder to Kat, "I'll watch him. You distract the salespeople from me watching him."
katerina: -facepalmed as she went to distract and or protect the associates from the ongoing wierdness-
Roderic: Thing Two. * Nods at her *
katerina: Thing One. -two can play that game-
