--The following transcript was a live chat roleplay--
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC had spotted... no... smelt 'ell entering the building and so had been watching her, stalking her like some predator with their prey. She'd seen the fuckers shooting at her and had stepped in as soon as they'd pulled the trigger and run them through with a flash of anger in her eyes and a snarl on her lips. That was her woman. HER sorcerer. And no-one was going to ******* touch her. The smell of 'ell was so much stronger than it had been before, and CC could only think that she'd not moved fast enough and a couple of the bullets had grazed the girl. She hated herself for that, for not being able to protect her fully. She'd failed in her promise and as the girl saw her and ran over, CC reached out and pulled her into her arms, holding her tightly. Still holding her, CC walked them both to the door, not wanting to be there any longer as it was a bit of a bust and 'ell was hurt. As they reached the door, CC heard something behind her, someone saying something about ripping their shirt. She recognised the voice and guessed what would happen next, and so pushed 'ell away and out of the door. Mordechai was a man lacking in honour and integrity in her mind, and he proved it again as she felt the blade cutting into her flesh, severing her sword arm just below the elbow. She growled in annoyance, refusing to register the pain and turned to see him moving away. In her mind, he was running from her like a scared child, after once more taking her from behind and this time making sure she couldn't retaliate. "COWARD" She shouted after him, pulling out her phone and sending a ranting message to her missing sire about how the man couldn't hold to an agreement and was forcing her to do something she didn't want to. Her blood was running from her arm, down her thigh, and she had nothing to stem the bleeding with other than her other hand. So, clamping it over the stump and squeezing, she left her arm lying on the ground and walked out to make sure 'ell was ok.
Lorelai: As she was expelled from the building, Lorelai wondered what she’d done to upset CC but rather than immediately confront her, she waited for the woman to come to her. She’d sat herself on a low-lying wall nearby, her eyes half on the door, half on the marks on her own body. Her hands ran over the sensitive areas on her upper shoulder and her outer right thigh. Had the guards had better aim, or perhaps meant to kill her they could have been worse; at least that was what she was telling herself. As CC emerged from the place, Lorelai was directly on her feet and at her side. “Oh my stars. What happened to you? Who did that? Why? I thought the guards were using guns, not swords.” The rambled words were the only thing stopping her from keeling over as the amount of blood CC was losing and the severity of the injury made her feel quite ill. “We need to get you to a hospital,” she blurted out, having forgotten in all the excitement that CC was a vampire.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "No. It's fine." CC grumbled, nuzzling her head to 'ells as her only hand was a bit busy. "We're not going to a ******* hospital.... As for who, some ******* guy with no honour." She swore under her breath and looked around, nodding south. "My boat's docked that way and there's no bookings for a while. You want to head there? I've got some bandages and **** there.... If you don't mind giving me a.... hand?"
Lorelai: Lorelai listened and nodded her mouth agape at the idea of some random guy taking CC’s arm off. All she could do was blink in response, what made the situation worse was the fact that CC seemed relatively calm about the whole thing. Yes, she was swearing more again, but she was composed, and somehow still found a way to be affectionate towards Lorelai. The woman had warned her that things like this did happen to her on a semi-regular basis and yet still, seeing the reality of it left Lorelai speechless. CC was amazing and had even tried to make light of the situation and yet Lorelai was unable to laugh at the bad the bad pun. She followed CC to the boat pretty much in silence. She wanted to be more useful and her mind was a very noisy place to be but nothing showed in her actions, only her facial expressions gave her away; she was shocked and worried.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC led the way and sighed at the silence that was following along beside her. Gently, she hip bumped 'ell and looked at her with a frown. "You ok?"
Lorelai: “Am I okay?” she repeated quietly. “You’ve had half your arm chopped off and you’re asking me if I’m okay?” She spoke with quiet disbelief, her words hushed. Had she of gone straight home like usual, she’d of not had to deal with this, she’d be in bed and while the realisation of this made her yearn for that scenario, it also made her feel guilty. Whatever the reason for the attack, Lorelai couldn’t help but feel at least partially responsible for it. She was thankful though for the dark streets that helped to hide CC’s wounds from prying eyes. The same darkness stopped her from having to see just how much blood her girlfriend was covered in. If I close my eyes…Will this be all I see of her? She wondered.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Mmm Hmm" She nodded her head, feeling the blood getting stickier in her hand as it began to clot. She shimmied her shoulders, as she spotted a group of humans outside of a bar up ahead, to move her bag from her *** to her hip to try and hide the lack of lower arm from them. If she got on that damn list because of that ****, she'd be doing more than stabbing the ******. She'd find a way to send him back to the goddamn realm. "Just, yanno. If you faint and **** - it's gonna make things 'really' hard for me..."
Lorelai: What she said was true. She couldn’t allow herself to be so weak, not If she wanted to stand a chance of lasting in CC’s world. She saw the way that she played with her bag and wondered how she could help her to hide it. CC seemed to need to hold it, and so she couldn’t have herself pressed in to CC’s side, else she’d likely knock the woman off balance. “Oh…” she said getting an idea that while she was sure CC would be less than impressed with made total sense to her and so began to wriggle out of her cardigan. “Let me put this over your shoulders…please? It will help to hide the wound.” She knew it wasn’t the woman’s style but hoped she’d care more about keeping the wound hidden than protecting her image.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC grinned as the cardigan was draped over her shoulders and she kissed 'ell's cheek in return. "Thank you! That will work perfectly. Good thinking." Also, it didn't hurt that she could now see more of 'ell's body. So really, it was win win as far as she was concerned. She looked at the wall beside them and then back to 'ell, wondering what she knew of what was beyond there.
Lorelai: Lorelai gave a very noticeable sigh of relief as CC allowed her to place the cardigan over her shoulders. She quickly adjusted it before CC kissed her cheek and Lorelai nodded proudly as she was told it was perfect. “I’m just glad I can be here to help you. You said before someone else usually helps you with this and if you didn’t have to guide me to your boat, I’m sure you could…you know…” her voice dropped to a whisper, “use one of your powers.” She was aware of the fact that she was holding CC back and putting her in danger and while that sickened her, she knew she needed to be with her and besides, next time she’d know where to meet her and so she wouldn’t have to slow her down again.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "I could have done... yes." She said, nodding. "And yeh, usually Leo helps me out with this. What was with you blushing when you were talking to him?" CC asked nonchalantly, having seen it all through Leo's eyes and heard through Leo's ears with her powers.
Lorelai: “Talking to… How did you…” the sentences came out broken as she tried to make sense of what was being asked. Oh dear. That was Leo. In that place. The guy that gave me those…items. How do I answer that? Why was I blushing? The look in her eyes was a mixture of wonder, disbelief and mortification. CC had seen her? How had she seen her? Why was she asking? Could she lie? “I didn’t know that that was Leo,” she admitted. “And I was…blushing?” her voice was innocent enough as to be believable, though she was perhaps just stalling for time as she found the words to explain why the male made her cheeks flush. Oh dear. That was Leo.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC just smiled, then laughed at the little stuttered ramble before the silence. However, saying she was blushing made an eyebrow rise. "Blushing? But he didn't say anything embarrassing. Or weird. He's not as crude as me, but he can be." She laughed incredulously
Lorelai: Lorelai was mortified. There were several reasons she blushed, embarrassment being the main reason, but she also couldn’t help get a little flushed when talking to people she was attracted too. It wasn’t something she could hide well, and the main reason she often wore her hair down, as it was sometimes possible to cover the flushing of her cheeks behind the God-given mask. “I’m sorry. I can’t help it. I get a little flushed around people that I think are…” Was she really going to finish this sentence? Surely there had to be a better time to have this conversation. Right? Silence filled the air as the word that should have followed refused to be spoken.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC's brow furrowed and her perfectly plucked eyebrows knitted together at the sentence that wasn't finished just hung there like a weight over her head. She'd seen 'ell get flushed before, a number of times, around her.... and she knew what it meant then. Now, she was admitting that she had the same sort of attraction to Leo as she did to CC? **** that ****! "You won't be seeing him again" She said matter of factly, and managed to bite back the 'or anyone else' and keep that inside of her own head. Jealous, was an understatement to what she was feeling right now.
Lorelai: “I didn’t… I wouldn’t… I’d never…” Another string of broken sentences spilled from her lips in quick succession as she tried to explain herself. “I’m sorry. I’m so sorry Ana. I can’t help it. I promise I can’t help it. I’d never do anything to upset you.” It was too soon to say she loved her but she knew she cared deeply for her and that she’d never act on any other attraction she felt. “He’s just… And my body… It’s just a physical thing… I… I don’t even know him.” The question as to how CC had seen it had still not been answered and as she pleaded with her girlfriend to forgive her for an impulse she couldn’t control that question had been momentarily forgotten.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "I know you didn't" Was all she could say, because she did know nothing had happened. And she'd made a note to implant the thought into Leo's head of all the painful ways he'd be tortured before being killed if he laid so much as a finger on her. "We're almost at the boat" She said, turning the corner and stepping onto the docks. "Not too much further, then once I'm sorted - if you're still ok to do that - you can sleep. You must be exhausted?"
Lorelai: Now she really felt awful. CC had been injured in more ways than one and the blame for this particular pain lay squarely at her feet. She fell silent and kept pace as they approached the docks. CC was right, she was tired but with everything that had happened she wasn’t sure she’d be able to sleep. “Of course I want to help you. I will help you. But if you’d rather have Leo do it…Ana? How did you know I blushed?”
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: Reaching the boat, CC punched in the keycode that released the rail and activated the gangplank for them to walk up. CC waited for 'ell to go up first and then followed along, pushing the button to bring the plank back up again behind them. It was a rather nice and special looking Andrew Bedov inspired design of boat - top class and very high end. She opened up the cabin and smiled at 'ell. "Thank you. The bandages and such are just down here. And no, I'd rather have you do it. And I saw you blush"
Lorelai: Lorelai didn’t have time to admire the boat, she was feeling way too nervous to allow such frivolous thoughts into her mind. Though she was looking at buying something similar herself, or at least would be once she’d fenced enough of the stolen goods she’d started stockpiling in the hotel. Less than a month in the city and her morals had already begun to be corrupted. (Not that wasn’t careful about what she took and who she took it from, nothing she ever stole was irreplaceable). She walked up the plank and once again found herself staring at CC like an idiot. “You saw it? How?”
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Huh? Oh. I can see and hear everything Leo does. It's like, picture in picture for me. Usually I just ignore it, but when something catches my attention, I... switch concentration and hone in on what he's up to"
Lorelai: “Huh? You see everything he does? So right now you can see what he sees? Isn’t that distracting? What if he’s…?” Her eyes widened as she realised that if the guy worked for CC that he likely had clients too, which meant that he… and she… So not only did she have to share the woman with her clients, she had to share her with his too. Now she really was feeling queasy and so she ran to the rail, half hurled herself over the damn thing (as she could only hold on with one hand, as the other hastily tried to get her hair out of her face) and began throwing up.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC blinked and just looked at her as if she were an alien. Hurrying to her side, she used the elbow of her good arm and stroked her back gently - but awkwardly. "'Ell? What's wrong? What's up with you? Why are you vomiting?"
Lorelai: “I… You… I’m not sure how much… more I can… take.” Every pause was filled with retching. “Right now,” she whimpered, realising in essence that she and CC would never be alone. It sickened her to think of this, along with other things, literally so it seemed.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC nodded her head, thinking the girl was saying that CC and her world were too much for her. That she didn't want to be a part of it anymore and couldn't cope with it. She felt crushed, angry, overwhelmed, emotional, everything. She just walked away and went down the stairs, not trusting herself to say anything else at that moment, and headed for the bathroom to try and clean herself up as she was still covered in blood.
Lorelai: CC had gone, she knew this but she didn’t trust herself to move away from the rail. This was becoming a habit and she really didn’t like it. Throwing up was just about the most unattractive thing she could do in front of anyone and this was the second time in a month. When she was sure she couldn’t possibly need to heave again, she wiped her mouth with the back of her hand and ran downstairs to join CC. “Ana?” she called out, finding the woman in her bathroom. “I said I’d help you…just…let me rinse my mouth out first. Please?” She didn’t want to push CC out the way, after all her needs really did trump her own, she just needed to get rid of the taste.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC had removed her clothes and was just standing in her underwear by the time 'ell had gotten down there. The shower was running as was the tap in the sink, and she was about to try getting into the shower after failing to bend properly to get her arm under the tap in the small bathroom. When 'ell came in, she just stepped aside and sat on the toilet seat, crossing her legs and watching her.
Lorelai: She had to get rid of the taste; it was the only thought in her mind as she’d entered the bathroom and seeing CC in her underwear wasn’t exactly new, the woman barely wore a stich even when fully clothed and Lorelai was more of less getting use to that. Having swilled the hot water in her mouth at first without thinking, she spluttered, switched that tap off and started the cold. Once she was as clean as she was gonna get, she was ready to face her girlfriend and do what needed to be done. “Were you planning on showering in your underwear?” she asked, looking at the ice queen as she sat on a different kind of throne.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC nodded her head. "Yes. I couldn't undo the bra. It's ******* fiddly this one! Why are you here? I thought you'd had enough?"
Lorelai: “Had enough?” she asked honestly confused as to what CC meant by that. If she was the feisty type or had perhaps spent more time around CC she might have made a remark about the fact that a pro ought to be able to remove her underwear one handed. She moved around CC, and bent down to try and undo CC’s bra for her. As much as she was attracted to the woman, now was not the time to allow her thoughts to wonder, even if the colour in her cheeks gave away her desire to do so.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC moved to give her more access, to get the ridiculously complicated bra off that was more straps and fastenings than there actually needed to be - ever. "Yes. You said it, up top. You couldn't take any more"
Lorelai: “I don’t recall saying that, so much as saying that I wasn’t sure how much more I could take,” she said as she worked on the bra that seemed more like some kind of torture device or mini straight jacket. “Being with you is… well it’s quite a unique experience. I have a lot to get my head around, to get used too. But I’m still willing to try.” She brushed CC’s hair back and off her neck and kissed it tenderly. “If you’re still willing to let me try that is?”
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She shivered as the lips touched her skin, then nodded her head and spoke softly. "Yes. I'd like that. A lot. I'm sorry, it's been.... a tough night!"
Lorelai: “Do you really see everything he does?” she asked a little hesitantly.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: Nods her head. "Yes. Why?"
Lorelai: She sighed softly. “It’s just a little disconcerting. That he’s always with you like that. It means we’re never really alone. That even when you’re here with me, like this, that he’s here too. In a way. And when he’s working…” she sighed softly. It really wasn’t the time to let her insecurities get the better of her.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Well, it doesn't work both ways. He can't see what I'm up to. If that's what you're worried about? And I'm so used to it, that I barely notice it unless there's something out of the ordinary happening, or a face I recognise. You know? You'd still.... I mean.... you're my main focus, when I'm with you."
Lorelai: She gasped at the thought of him seeing her the way CC did and flushed a deeper shade of red. “I hadn’t even considered that that might be possible. But I’m glad that that isn’t how it works. And that you are able to ignore it to a certain degree.” She laid her hands on CC’s shoulders, having finished one task for her. “Do you need me to pull your hair back for you?”
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She shivered out of her bra and let it drop to the floor, kicking it aside with her foot and looking up at 'ell with a smile. "Thanks for that. And no. What you could do though, take the showerhead down and after I'm in there, rinse me down?"
Lorelai: “I can do that. And I’ll help you out of your… What do you call those?” she asked as she gestured to CC’s knickers.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She looked down and then smirked at 'ell as she stood up before her. "They have the same name as the ones you wear. Underwear, pants, knickers, skivvies - whatever." She chuckled. "Speaking of, how are the ones I got you going? Don't they feel so much better than the old ones you had?"
Lorelai: “I don’t believe you,” she said dryly. “There is not enough material on those to call them knickers.” She said working CC out of them so that she’d be able to shower and clean up. “And no. If I’m entirely honest, I don’t like the ones you bought me. I don’t find them very comfortable at all. Perhaps we could go to the store and choose something together? Something I would find comfortable and you wouldn’t find repugnant.”
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: She snorted and then nodded, stepping out of her string underwear. "I don't see why not." Then she stepped into the shower and almost immediately the water ran red with her blood.
Lorelai: “Though I’m assuming that will have to wait,” she said as she began to clean CC up. Lorelai was as gentle as she could be as she didn’t want to cause CC any unnecessary pain. Once she was cleaned up she’d have to help dry her off and then find her something clean to wear. She tried not to stare at the wound itself, but her eyes kept drifting that way. “Your arm will…grow back. Correct?”
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: "Mmm Hmm" She said as the blood was washed off her thighs and side by 'ell, and she herself picked at the wound to get rid of the crusty stuff and clean up the end of the bone and such. "Does it.... freak you out a bit?"
Lorelai: “I’ve never seen anyone lose an arm before Ana. So yes. It is a bit…freaky. I’ve seen people hurt by knives and such in my community. Accidents happen. But this is a little more…extreme. But I want to look after you. You just need to tell me what you need me to do.”
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: And so it was that Lorelai helped CC out, fixed her up and sorted her out, before they retired to bed. Lorelai falling asleep first with CC holding her, until with the first light of dawn, CC too drifted off to sleep.
Lorelai: Lorelai overslept the next day and then realised that she was going to be late for work. She didn’t want to leave CC alone, she wanted to be there with her even though she knew she wasn’t really needed, so she called in sick. It wasn’t a complete lie, she just wasn’t the one that need to recuperate and get better. In need of a few things, mainly food, she let herself off the boat, using the code she’d seen CC use the night before and went to do a little shopping. Knowing that CC would need her attention in the evening, Lorelai spent the day snacking and napping, so that she’d have more energy later on. She wasn’t entirely comfortable napping, she was used to being awake in the daylight hours but C was worth the effort. When the woman disappeared, Lorelai didn’t even notice, as she had drifted into a deep sleep shortly before that time had come.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC woke up as the night fell, and was - as usual - in her bed in Silks. She'd known it would happen, and it wasn't all bad. She headed for the office and sent a couple of emails and texts - including one to Ginger that said she wouldn't be in to work for the week, ish. Then, as she heard a noise outside of the door, she simply opened the window, jumped out and then ran across the city at celerity speeds to get back to the boat. Her arm was aching, the bandages too tight as it had healed and grown a little back as she'd slept, and she knew they needed to be changed. She wasn't sure what she'd find as she headed down the steps into the belly of the boat - she didn't even know if 'ell would be there.
Lorelai: Lorelai stirred in her sleep and stretched out. Perhaps somewhere in her subconscious she realised that CC was missing as she was whispering her name as she cuddled up to the pillow that held her girlfriends scent.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC got to the bottom of the stairs and smiled, seeing 'ell wriggling in the bed and saying her name. She silently walked across the carpeted floor, her shoes who knew where, and then climbed into the bed with her as gently as she could to try and not disturb her or wake her. Gently, she wrapped her bad arm around 'ell and drew her close, burying her head into her hair and just, breathing and taking in her scent that was so intoxicating and amazing.
Lorelai: She murmured and squirmed as CC pulled her closer. “I can’t now. I have to be up at dawn. If mum hears you I’m going to get in trouble.” She was talking in her sleep and either dreaming of a memory or perhaps imposing CC into a familiar dream scenario.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC smiled, a light chuckle escaping into the girls hair. "Shhh. Just sleep, it's fine."
Lorelai: The whispered words echoed somewhere inside her mind, CC’s reply mixing with one from her dream. “Shh,” she giggled. “I’m serious. If my parents hear you, I’ll be cleaning out the coop for a month.”
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: The smile stayed on her face as she gently caressed 'ells side and sat up beside her. "They won't hear us, it's fine."
Lorelai: “You always say that,” was her reply. It was strange how Lorelai could carry out a conversation while she was asleep and not remember it the next day, but it was possible and did happen. She rolled over to face CC, her eyes open and yet still she wasn’t awake. “Fine. One last kiss and then you have to go.”
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC chuckled again, highly amused by this whole situation. She lay down again, resting her head on 'ells stomach while her good hand stroked over her cheeks, thumb teasing her lips gently. "I'm just going to lie here while you sleep."
Lorelai: Lorelai kissed CC’s thumb and then bit it playfully. Her eyes then closed once more, it seemed that conversation was over. She was laying on her back, her hands resting on the pillow over her head, her face turned to the side. Dreaming of home was nice and comforting. Perhaps it was what she needed after being shot at having to tend to CC’s wound; something to ease her troubled mind.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC bit her own lip, as her thumb was bitten, and didn't react. As 'ell calmed and seemed to go to sleep, CC smiled and closed her eyes. Her head was on 'ells stomach, on its side with her ear against her stomach, looking up at her face happily. She closed her eyes, happy for once.
Lorelai: She was semi aware of the head on her stomach and so a hand moved to run through CC’s hair. “Mmm…It’s nice waking up with someone and not having to panic and kick them out,” she stretched, having revealed a little of her past relationships without meaning too.
Lorelai: She wasn’t sure what this place was that CC had brought her too but it looked much like any other location she entered illegally, the main difference of course being that this place seemed to have a lot more “life” to it. Normally she managed to get escorted from a building when she was caught by the guards but here, here they shot at you first with no intention of talking to you like any rational human being might normally do. Lorelai was still feeling lie a fish out of water but she knew the only way to know the world was to explore and be a part of it, and the flesh wounds she had sure showed she was a part of it. She was picking at the frayed edges of her clothing and wandering the corridors looking for CC when she’d passed some guy that said he worked for her. Something she could well believe as the male was stunning to look at and Lorelai was just hoping he’d take the colour in her cheeks for being something other than a sign of her attraction to him. “Ana!” she cried out a little too loudly when she finally saw CC up ahead. She clamped a hand over her mouth as the name echoed about her and ran over to her girlfriend looking a little sheepish. “I’m sorry. I was starting to think I wasn’t going to find you in here. This place feels like a maze and yet all it does is loop around on itself.”This RP takes place on Saturday 10th May 2014.
Cinnamon Cherrywhip: CC had spotted... no... smelt 'ell entering the building and so had been watching her, stalking her like some predator with their prey.
