Main Story & Alert Level Pause

Half bad news, half good news with this one.
We're going to have to pause the overall main story (only the official one) and freeze the city alert levels until the end of beta. The reason for this is that we'd prefer the main story not to progress too far before we even advertise to newbies, as they'd come in feeling like they missed out. As the city alert levels affect the overall story, this also needs to be frozen for now, because if it gets too high then humans find out about vampires and the story progresses, and the game changes.
However, this does not mean that you have to pause your roleplay in any way. Personal character stories and side-stories can of course continue during the main story pause. You can also continue hunting for violators if you wish, as you still get paid from hits placed on targets, and these actions can still be roleplayed, naturally.
The good news, on the other hand, is that we're only pausing this for 3 months starting today. This also means that the end of beta is officially ETA August the 5th. This is just an estimation, and the actual beta period could run over this by 1 or 2 months, but the story will be unpaused on this date no matter how ready we are.
As for what's left before the end of beta: basically, crafting gets finished within the next few days, the bugs get tidied up, we fix the cheat code, add missions, set up chapter 3, and we're ready. From then, the development becomes 75% about the story.
We're sorry to have to pause things for now, but getting the game out of beta is our #1 concern. We'll try to keep the game updates flowing in the meantime to keep you entertained.
