Ghostly adventures. (( Open to wraiths ))
Robert had pissed her off no end! Making her watch over the liar and whore for him, making her watch the woman ******* her own childe when she was supposed to be with Robert. Whore didn't even begin to describe that woman, and Leyna was glad they were shot of her. She'd not really spoken to Robert since, and had stayed away from him as much as possible. He'd asked her a couple of favours and she'd begrudgingly done them for him. It wasn't because she had to, because he'd commanded her to - but because he really was sorry for what she'd been subjected to. Also, he was hurt to his core - she could see it in his eyes when she looked at him, and she knew. Serry had cut him deeply, and added to that the fact that he'd rediscovered he had kids - how he was hanging on to his sanity and good natured spirit was beyond her!
However, in the weeks they'd been apart, she'd realised how lonely she was. She had nothing in common with the vampires of today, or the humans for that matter. They didn't have the same values as she did. They didn't understand how she didn't understand technology or politics, or that there were gaps in her memory from when she had been killed to when she'd been summoned. She would be forever grateful to Robert for summoning her, but it didn't mean she'd have to put up with his **** if she didn't want to. She was, after all, her own person with her own mind. She couldn't help but wonder if other wraiths felt the same as she did, if they thought the same of the one who'd summoned them, if they wished they were dead still.... so many questions.
She'd spoken to a couple of wraiths before in passing, but nothing too in depth.... and a grin crossed her face. What if she could get them all together somehow? Invite them somewhere to do a bit of a meet and greet? Oh! She could have friends of her own again, friends she had things in common with and who understood how hard it was to be a wraith and to be out of your own time. then it hit her. There was even a tiny, tiny chance that one of her friends and family might be out there in the city, summoned as she'd been, alone and lost like her. How amazing would it be if that were true? If she could find someone to connect with again? Already her spirit felt lighter, happier, until a thought hit her.
"How do I reach them all? How do I get the message out?"
She felt utterly defeated before she'd even started and thought it a lost cause. So lost in her thoughts was she, that she'd totally missed Robert coming home. So when his voice rang out and echoed in the room, it made her jump in surprise.
"How do you reach who and get what message out? What's wrong?"
He asked her, looking at her in concern as he saw the look of upset on her face.
"I want to meet other wraiths, get to know them.... maybe have some friends. But I don't know how to reach them all!"
She mumbled sadly, not looking at him as she spoke. Robert frowned and rubbed his stubbled chin while walking over to the couch with today's post. He dropped the post on the table and sat down, leaning back and looking at her as he thought it over. He had no issues with her wanting to make friends, and it upset him a little that he'd not thought of it himself. He liked to think of himself as considerate and able to tell what a person needed - and he'd totally missed quite unhappy and alone Leyna had felt. He sat there in silence, thinking it over. A few ideas came to him but he rejected them all until there were a couple left.
"I'll do a couple of things for you myself, then there's one that you can do yourself."
He said, smiling. She looked up and offered a hopeful smile back to him and nodded, waiting to hear.
"You go and talk to the wraith guides - ask them to pass on the message if they see any wraiths. I'm sure there are wraiths who pass by them, chat to them and hut for them regularly. Perhaps they'll be agreeable and help. While you do that - I'll take out an advert in the papers and also stick a note on Crow Net. I know that you can't use the computer or turn the pages of a paper - but you never know. Maybe some 'masters' or 'mistresses' will let their wraiths see it, tell them about it."
She nodded her head, though she wasn't too hopeful about any of those things. The community hated Robert - why would they listen to anything he said on CrowNet? They would think it a trap, just to kill their wraiths or incapacitate them or something. She sighed and nodded again, because she had no better ideas.
"So, when and where are you thinking? I need to know what I'm putting in this Leyna."
She hadn't really got that far in her thought process, but put on the spot like that - she came up with an idea.
"Sunday. 12pm when the sun is at its highest. I don't think many wraiths will have 'jobs' at that time of day. All the bosses will be asleep and hiding right! And.... umm.... can we use the fairground? I know it's closed on a Sunday...."
He just smiled and nodded his head.
"I'll even put a couple of staff on overtime for you. They can keep the rides going so you can all have a shot on them. I'll just tell them it's maintenance and to run each one every 15 mins. Ok?"
"OH! You'd do that?"
"Of course. You deserve it."
"Oh thank you Robert! I'll go to the guides now, see if they will help. Will you do the messages now?"
He nodded his head and she floated off while he logged onto his laptop and began writing the messages for her.
CN - Hey there. I'm doing this for my wraith, who'd like to invite any and all other wraiths to a get together on Sunday at 12pm at the Silverlight Fairground. All wraiths welcome. She hopes to see them there - if you could please let them know? Thanks, Robert.
Paper - 'Ghostly' get together arranged for Sunday, 12pm at the Silverlight Fairground. You know who you are, gates will open for you and you alone.
It was kinda cryptic, but he knew that the gates would be locked. So the only ones getting through would be the ones who could simply, walk right on through them. That just left Leyna and her messages left with the wraith guides. He had no idea if they would co-operate or not, and when she got home a few hours later, the look on her face didn't seem too hopeful and he sighed and just hoped that someone would tell their wraith and let them come. He'd hate it for her if no-one came!

Re: Ghostly adventures. (( Open to wraiths ))
The fairground seemed a strange but exciting place to meet. It was just like Robert to be so generous. Or so Deanna thought. Robert had told Deanna what Leyna planned and she was quite intrigued by the idea. She often passed wraiths in raids but rarely stopped to converse with any of them. Leyna was the only wraith she spoke to on an even semi regular basis. She'd started following Enver's thrall recently and while that was sometimes amusing, she couldn't really count him as a friend. She had a feeling Crash thought she was a hallucination or something, as half the time he didn't seem to know where he was, let alone who was talking. In a way he fitted Enver perfectly, as he was as useless as he was in her eyes. In fact if she were honest, Crash was even more useless than Enver and she never thought that she could think that of anyone.
"He's going to let the rides run and everything," she babbled excitedly.
"Mhm."
"And we can come and go as we please."
"That nice is."
"Do you think Robert will be there? He will right? I mean he has to be. Not that that's why I'm going. I could go to Solace if I wanted to talk to him."
"That you could."
"Hey are you listening to me?"
"Yes Deanna. Listening I have been for two days. Leyna throwing a party is, for which Robert the benefactor is."
"Yeah and it's tonight. Well...now. And he could be there...right?"
"Know that I cannot Deanna."
"Yeah I know but that's nice of him...right?I mean no-one else would do anything like that."
"Sure I am that Enver such an event would plan."
Deanna scoffed. "Yeah if you asked maybe, he won't even talk to me."
"Blame him in that I cannot since told me you did what saying you have been."
"I can't help it, he's such an easy target."
"Eternity a long time is Deanna. Try you both should for one another better to treat. Important to me you both are and know you do that sides in your games I shall not take."
"You know what. It doesn't matter if he's gonna be there. I'm going out. Try not to need me yeah? I need a night off."
Deanna floated off heading towards the fairground. Keara hadn't meant to upset her sister but apparently she had. Talk of Enver never went well between them but it had at least lessened in recent months, as Deanna had found other things to fill her free time with.
It didn't take her long to get to the fairground and by the time she was there she had let the conversation with Keara fall to the back of her mind. Tonight was a night for her to make friends of her own. She'd gone via the river as she enjoyed the view but then headed back out onto the street just before she reached the fairground so that she could enter through the main gates. She could have entered anywhere but Robert had mentioned something about the main gates when he'd told her about the evening Leyna had planned, and while she couldn't remember the significance of it, it seemed a fitting place to start.
"Leyna?" she called out before her eyes had even scanned the horizon for her friend.

Re: Ghostly adventures. (( Open to wraiths ))
Lady Baron or rather Marcus at the moment was bored out of his mind, so to speak anyway. He found himself at yet another club, listening to females yank about their men. He quickly floated off. Damn Tessa, she was into the gossip ****. He wasn’t.
He went to the farm that Kira now lived at and found her sprawled out on the sofa. “Got anything for me to do?” he asked. If he had a job of some sort, he wouldn’t be bored at least.
Kira opened her eyes, looking around. “Marcus?” she said then yawned. He hadn’t scared her this time, maybe due to her being half asleep. At least it was him and not Tessa. “No, I don’t. Unless you found me a raid already?” she asked.
”Tessa was listening for rumors and gossip. I’m guessing she didn’t find anything.” Marcus replied and floated in front of her, drawing his face down to her level. ”How is the new life here? Has he beat your butt yet?”
Kira sat up and pushed herself against the sofa. She knew how close he was because of his voice. “You’re being rude you know.” She hissed. She waited for him to let her see him before saying anything else. She would only get that power to see wraiths and spirits just so he wouldn’t be able to sneak up on her any longer. “I like it here..” she said, she was starting anew. “And no, he has not. Thought Tessa would be more interested in that than you.”
”I’m just as interested in seeing you having to give someone a chance at your heart.” Marcus replied, floating beside the TV. ”Can we watch a movie?” he asked, pointing to the remote.
Kira sighed, she crossed her arms. She didn’t want to watch a movie. She felt like running around in her animal form instead. She closed her eyes, she didn’t check the Crownet that often, it was full of **** all the time. She was hoping to see something that she could send Marcus out to check out. Something did catch her eye. “Interesting.” She said, opening her eyes. “You interested in meeting other wraiths?” she asked.
Marcus stared, the only wraiths he knew where Prince and Nightcrawler and frankly the latter gave him the creeps sometimes. ”Sure..” he said.
“There’s going to be a wraith get together at Silverlight Fairgrounds, Sunday at 12pm. So, there’s something to look forward to.” Kira replied. “Though be careful. It’s Robert Pratt who put it up, all I hear is bad rumors about him but I don’t know him for ****. But I would be more worried about someone coming in that don’t like him and banishing all wraiths who end up there.”
”Alright..” Marcus said, he wondered if Prince would be there but they had seen much of Prince at all. He was worried about going there. Would anyone understand his issue? He could hope to remain in control for some time but that was not likely. He then wondered if there was anyone from his timeframe, anyone he would know. ”You sure you won’t need me that day?”
Kira tilted her head, “I’ll be passed out.” She replied, a wraith wouldn’t be able to protect her from anything anyway. “Go have some fun if you can.”
Marcus wished he could breath, a relaxing deep breath would be good right now but he was rather used to not having a body. He got Tessa to agree not to show up right now. If he made friends with someone as himself then he could explain his problem so they wouldn’t be surprised later.
He floated around the fairground. He wondered how many wraiths would show up. "Hello?" he called out.

Re: Ghostly adventures. (( Open to wraiths ))
*edited to correct my mistake in time.
Its summoner was out.
It was too easy to tell because the floor in which she crept upon was silent.
There was no goodbye; Have a great night; Enjoy the weather.
Its purpose was complete.
It glided through door of the building in which she left it.
It needed to not open the hardbound wood nor allow it to make a sound.
The hollow board wouldn't even creak as it passed through its porous material.
Onward into the world, it shall go.
Its buoyant manner entered the Silverlight Fairground.
It was not a plan, just somewhere different to pass through.
It wouldn't even state, just to pass the time.
As time is not something it is bound to anymore.
It had floated over every crevice of this town.
Somehow unable to break free from its hold.
It thought the reason was its summoner.
After-all, she did rise it from a dark dwelling.
Meaningless, it flutters o're an immense population where forgotten lore lie buried.
Rarely, did it bout it’s deep scratchy throat to another, unless necessary.
It was not friendly, not worried, and not curious, not of this world.
It was what passing years had done to what a vampire once was.
Not alive, not yet dead.
That in itself was its struggle.
To die.
A death.
To be dead.
Not to be remembered, nor celebrated, nor called upon, nor recreated-again.
A rightful death.
To lie and wither away with grubs, crickets, beetles, and more.
To emit gases
To be dried of fruit that was once a living, breathing, mortal.
If only.
Death.
It circled violently within Silverlight Fairground.

Re: Ghostly adventures. (( Open to wraiths ))
As soon as Leyna had spoken to the guides and got nothing you could call a meaningful response, she floated straight to the fairground. Yes, it was Friday and the get together wasn't supposed to happen until Sunday, but she was far too excited to do anything else. She knew that Robert could see through her eyes and so would know where she was and what she was doing - so she didn't much care about telling him where and what she was up to. For the next day and a half, she floated around the fairground getting more and more nervous and worried about whether anyone would actually show up. If only there was a power she could get that let her communicate with all the wraiths in the city like she'd heard the paladins had. Now that, that would be nifty and something she would steal all of Robert's magic to be able to get and use!
After having a second shot, it was now after 12 and she was late. Swearing under her breath, she floated as fast as she could towards the gate and heard a couple of voices. One of them she recognised, but the other she didn't, and she couldn't help but squeal.
"PEOPLE CAME!"
As she went as fast as she could, looking for the other wraiths - hoping they were wraiths.
She immediately recognised Deanna and went straight over to her.
"HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII! You came! Thanks for coming! How are you?"
Then she looked around, frowning as she couldn't see the origin of the other voice anywhere. So, she shouted as loud as she could.
"HELLO? HELLOOOOOOO? WE'RE BY THE DUCKS!"
She called, after spotting the hook a duck game nearby. It had definitely been a male voice she'd heard, and she wondered what he was like, how old he was, how his summoner was - all sorts. Today, under the sun, was going to be SO much fun, she could just tell!

FINALLY Sunday arrived and Leyna found she was vibrating with excitement. She watched as at 11:30am the fair boys all turned up and unlocked the gate, entering and then locking the gate behind themselves again. Perfect, they'd done as Robert had told them too and the public were going to be kept out! She followed them around and grinned at the rides all coming alive. She liked the ghost train herself, but the roller coasters were kinda fun, just like the octopus and the boat swing and all the others. Ok, so she liked them all really, and she liked the humans reactions as they rode it. However, it was kinda annoying that she had to wait for a go when there was a free seat. But today, today all the seats would be free and she could ride them as often as she liked. In fact, she had a quick go on one of the rollercoasters as it wasn't quite 12 yet. After having a second shot, it was now after 12 and she was late. Swearing under her breath, she floated as fast as she could towards the gate and heard a couple of voices. One of them she recognised, but the other she didn't, and she couldn't help but squeal.

She called, after spotting the hook a duck game nearby. It had definitely been a male voice she'd heard, and she wondered what he was like, how old he was, how his summoner was - all sorts. Today, under the sun, was going to be SO much fun, she could just tell!

Re: Ghostly adventures. (( Open to wraiths ))
She hadn't been there long before she heard the reply. Leyna was obviously excited about the idea of spending time with others like herself which made Deanna wondered if she was perhaps supposed to be equally as enthused. She was a shadow, in every sense these days and knew that, that to some extent meant that she favoured her own company. Stereotypes were stereotypes for a reason and while she knew there were exceptions to the rule, she didn't believe she was one of them. Of course she had made the effort to come this day because Robert had mentioned it, that and she actually quite liked Leyna. From what she knew of her she was quite a sweet person, not that she expected any less from a thrall that Robert could happily keep in his employ. Having considered all of this, it suddenly crossed her mind that Leyna was perhaps an allurist in her first life.
"Hi Leyna. Is Robert here?"
Deanna couldn't help but ask the question, it just tumbled out of her; it was a question she had wanted to ask but even Deanna knew that she should have waited to greet the woman properly first.
"I'm erm...Sorry. I should've asked first how you are and stuff. It was a nice idea to try and get some of our kind together. So like in case I forget to say later...thanks for making the effort and such."
She wasn't sure where the guy was she'd heard. It had sounded like he was behind her but she hadn't really looked around much, she hadn't even noticed she was "by the ducks" to Leyna called it out. How many others would turn up, she wasn't sure, but it was at least going to be nice doing something different for once. At least that was her take on things.

Re: Ghostly adventures. (( Open to wraiths ))
Marcus looked around, taking in the lights and sounds. He had never been to fair before, wondering what certain things taste like. Things he never had a chance to do. He looked towards the direction of the voice.
"Ducks?" he said, "What ducks..?" he was confused. He floated over to a map, looking for anything that had ducks on it and finding a game. Hmm, that had to be it. He kept in mind how to get there and floated off towards the area.
He came across two others, one of them must be the reason as to this get together happening. "Greetings. My name is Marcus...one of you the host so to speak? A wraith gathering was quite a wonderful idea." he said.

Round-n-round it go.
A pattern of eights in quick strides of orbing matter
It cooled the air in which it loomed.
It rose up from the earth than dipped once more.
Suddenly, the fairground came to life.
It came to a halt.
Music pulsed slowly like a worn record until it picked up full swing.
Resplendent patterns of varying sizes in amusing themes,
Lights bounced off the mechanical rides.
Hints of sugary confections in the noon breeze.
It would blink, if it were alive.
It would smile.
Around few were gathering.
It knew by joyful strumming voices nearby.
It-in all its gloating, had not noticed them before.
Caught up in itself.
Two, perhaps three were gathering.
Glowing and greeting happily.
It lingered the long way around.
It stopped behind the duck booth behind a man who flipped a switch
It watched tiny colored plastic float merrily in circles.
Watched the calm flowing water in contentment.
A slight hue took place of where it was unseen.
A nod as it overheard the man speak of a gathering of wraiths.
It looked towards its translucent digits
Curled them slow in amazement.
Its summoner called it something like that before.
In observation he (looked up) was Marcus, but what a name, had it.

Re: Ghostly adventures. (( Open to wraiths ))
The first words she heard weren't hi or hello or how are you. Instead, what she heard was Robert's name being asked about. She couldn't help but frown at Deanna, her irritation obvious at how she'd been greeted not only in her mannerisms but also in the tone of her voice.
"What? No. Of course he's not here. He's not a wraith. Well, not at the moment. Give it time, he'll be a wraith again. Then he can be invited ok?"
She looked around and saw another of her kind coming over, thanking her for arranging the get together. Her bad mood was immediately lost and she grinned at him, waving.
"Hiiiiiiiii! Yes! Me! Nice to meet you Marcus! I'm Leyna. Did you find us ok? Are you well? Are you happy? I mean, with your life. No. Wait. That's too personal. I'm sorry. I'm just..... wraiths!!"
She beamed happily at him and then remembered her manners.
"Oh, Marcus. This is Deanna. She's..... a..... friend. Kinda. Those who summoned us are friends with one another. Kinda. Mostly. Sometimes. What about your summoner? How are they? Do they treat you well? OH! I know! We could like, set up a group! For abused and misused wraiths. Like, a battered woman's shelter - but for wraiths. Deanna! Could you imagine? Just like Robert does for humans - but for wraiths! Think we could? I mean, really? Could we take wraiths away from their summoners? Break the bond without the wraith fading out? Oh my Lux Deanna, Marcus! Think of the possibilities! But..... wait..... I asked a question. A few in fact. Sorry. Little excited."
She chuckled lightly, happily, and looked around herself to see if anyone else had arrived, and she spotted another wraith linering on the other side of the game. She lifted her arm and waved, beckoning it over.
"HEY! HI THERE! COME ON OVER! JOIN US!
She called out in a friendly manner, standing watching them and listening for replies from the two she was with.

Re: Ghostly adventures. (( Open to wraiths ))
She'd upset Leyna enough that Leyna wasn't even willing to call her a friend without noticeable effort. Dea mentally kicked herself for being so stupid, even if Leyna didn't want to classify her as a friend, she considered her one. She was one of only a handful of people she spoke to on a regular basis. Leyna likely missed it when Deanna drew back a little as she was working herself up into a very excitable state. The girl was like charming or something and this once again made Dea think she was an allurist in a former life; though Robert was a Shadow and seemed equally as charming in the right company.
Since Leyna knew the answers to the questions she'd asked the other wraith in their company she kept silent. The idea about a wraith Sanctuary was a good one and she could see Robert going along with that, though it made her sad, that perhaps there were mistreated wraiths out there. It was a strange assumption to make but then anything was possible. Robert likely thought of Dea that way, as waif in need of rescuing, after all that is why she started coming to Solace in the first place. Being around Enver had grated on her nerves and it was nice to have somewhere to go where she could chat to someone. Aside from nodding her head to the idea, she said and did nothing more and simply waited to see who the other two wraiths were.
